| Miss South Africa wins #MissUniverse 2017 title Posted: 27 Nov 2017 11:49 PM PST  Former Miss Universe Iris Mittenaere, right, crowns new Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters at the Miss Universe pageant Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017, in Las Vegas. (AP Photo/John Locher) Miss South Africa 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters has been crowned Miss Universe, becoming the first Miss South Africa to take this prestigious title since Margaret Gardiner won in 1978. At the pageant, held in Las Vegas in the US, an ecstatic Demi-Leigh competed against 91 contestants from around the globe Рthe biggest number of entrants in the history of the competition Рand justified the faith thousands of South Africans had that she would win. Runners-up were Miss Colombia (first princess) and Miss Jamaica (second princess). During her time as Miss South Africa, Demi-Leigh launched her highly successful Unbreakable campaign to empower thousands of young girls and women throughout the country, by teaching them skills on how to handle difficult situations like hijackings, muggings, robberies and toxic relationships. She partnered with specialists to give women the necessary knowledge to be able to handle any unwanted situations. She held six workshops around South Africa and has said she would like to promote this campaign internationally. Demi-Leigh wowed both the judges and the audience in a sheer flesh-toned, long-sleeved hand beaded dress by Anel Botha. It was inspired by the constellations and consisted of 50 000 hand placed Swarovski crystals which took a team of eight people 168 hours to complete. The Miss Universe pageant was hosted by Steve Harvey and Ashley Graham. Judges for the finale included Wendy Fitzwilliam (Miss Universe 1998 from Trinidad and Tobago); Jay Manuel (TV host, creative director and makeup artist); Ross Mathews (TV personality); Megan Olivi (Fox Sports 1 host and reporter); Lele Pons (Vine and YouTube personality) and Pia Wurtzbach (Miss Universe 2015 from the Philippines). Before she was crowned Miss South Africa, Demi-Leigh had completed her B. Com in business management and entrepreneurship and was a part-time model. Demi-Leigh's father and stepmother Bennie and Elzab̩ Peters and mother and stepfather Anne-Mari and Johan Steenkamp were in the audience and were overcome when Demi-Leigh's name was announced. "Demi-Leigh has worked incredibly hard for the past few years to achieve this goal and we are all so proud of her," said a tearful Elzab̩. It was a sentiment echoed by Sun International PR Manager Claudia Henkel: "We at Sun International are very proud of Demi-Leigh. It has been an exciting few years for us, as the licence holders of Miss South Africa, as we have had two international pageant winners crowned. First with Rolene Strauss winning Miss World and now Demi-Leigh as Miss Universe. She is most certainly going to make South Africa proud." The 2017 Miss Universe pageant will be screened on Vuzu (DStv Channel 116) on Tuesday, November 28, at 20h00 and Saturday, December 2, at 15h00.

| Nimat Siaka Crowned Face Of STANDS Nigeria Posted: 27 Nov 2017 01:37 PM PST  Former Miss Curve Nigeria Tourism Crowned Face Of STANDS Nigeria. Kogi born Queen Nimat Siaka who hailed from Okene local government area of Kogi state has been crowned by Youth of Unity NGO and NDLEA as the Face of Say No To Drugs Abuse (SANDA) Nigeria 2017. She contested with many Beautiful and industrious ladies across the nation.  This isn't a surprise to many of us having seen her tremendous achievement through her charity projects across Nigeria most especially her drugs abuse awareness and advocacy in Nigeria among the youths. Queen Nimat Siaka is the immediate past miss Curve Nigeria Tourism who graduated from the department of Sociology in prestigious university of Ilorin.  While congratulating her for this new feet the organisers have charged her to keep up with her advocacy against drugs abuse among youths in Nigeria as she always know to be a great Ambassador against drugs abuse in the country. She shared these lovely pictures below and wrote: These two....My parents.... I don't chook my mouth in their matter anymore. If I hear 'pim', I say, "Abeg o ! Don't tell me. Before you people will use me to settle your quarrel."  And so it came to pass....26th of November makes it 34 years together. (They said I should start counting from their white wedding. Okay o). That is the case of a young man recently in Lagos, Nigeria. The young man who wants to be identified only as Ojay decided to propose to his girlfriend via a billboard at the CMS bus stop, Lagos. He acquired the billboard on the popular CMS bus stop to propose and express his love to his fiancee Tamilore. … and from all indications in the photos, she certainly said yes. | "I Had Cancer, Was Given 2 Months To Live, Jesus Healed Me" Posted: 27 Nov 2017 12:30 PM PST  Yvonne Ebadan Ogbefua a Nigerian woman posted on her Instagram page, how she was miraculously healed by God of Sacorma, a form of cancer that attacks the soft tissue which knocked her down. According to her who also celebrated her birthday, she was given just two months to live, but after the words of her Father in the Lord Bishop David Oyedepo came to her heart; 'WHAT EVER MY GOD CANNOT DO, LET IT BE UNDONE', she believed and got her healing. Below is the account of her story; "Happy birthday to me.its my testimony. Roughly four years ago,I was diagnosed with a form of cancer that attacks the soft tissue.its called sacorma.it started as a very small lump just by my right side in my stomach region.i was on drugs,but it grew by the day.Then chemotherapy was introduced. This treatment was said to be an aggressive form of treating cancer.but instead, I will say, it fed this,and made me weak.Then the dosage was increased.my oh my!! I became too weak to even stand or sit.Was I praying all these while?yes! To the intent I taught God has gone on vacation.  Then the bomb came.YVONNE YOU ONLY HAVE TWO MONTHS TO LIVE. I rejected it instantly! That was not what my father said to me in Isaiah 65:20.I didn't have to tell nobody the news.The only people who heard,were the ones in the room with me.i didn't have to cry over it, cause it wasn't even my portion. Then, my elder sis called me one day.she said something that I will never forget.she said you're still relying on medicine Yvonne,until you make God your only source of help,you won't move him.That night I knelt down and cried,I said Lord,have mercy on me.medicine has failed me.Then the words of my Father in the Lord Bishop David Oyedepo came to my heart.WHAT EVER MY GOD CANNOT DO,LET IT BE UNDONE.I put my" WHOLE"trust on him. Hallelujah Jesus the master healer showed up for me.now listen.After I praised him,and dance so much in my heart cause I could barely do it physically,I received a message from the head surgeon in France telling me they could now operate .less I forget,she once said the operation was impossible cause the tumor has grown so big and I was 2 weak.Tumor weighted 7kg.12 doctors,10hrs of operation.Jesus gets the praise.Now to the interesting part! My 6mons follow up,on seeing this same doctor,while reading my file.she said,THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE!!! who did this operation?Surprised me,i looked around to be sure she was referring to me,cause I was in her office with her secretary and her.25 cm? she was corrected by her secretary 32cm. she screamed Wow!! Thus the world's most expensive designer brands are mere names on Toke's list. The popular social media big girl considers Selfridges and Harrods as ordinary shopping points at the moment,. Whenever she visits London, United Kingdom (UK) via business class or first class flights paid for by Fadeyi, she spares no expenses at the city's posh shopping points.  It is very interesting to note that Fadeyi foots such outrageous bills for Toke while he wallows in loan debt to his bank. What Fadeyi's children find alarming however, is Toke's continual neglect of her lover's precarious financial situation. Consequently, they have declared war against her, warning her to leave their father alone. Frightened by the undisguised animosity, Toke has resorted to extreme measures to avoid their wrath or unpalatable encounters with them.
