While he did not address what happened directly. He did play the elderly card which would seem to give credit to claims he felt a handshake from Tekno was disrespectful. In an exclusive chat with Saturday Beats, Sunday Are said that he kept quiet on purpose but likened the scenario to that of a misunderstanding between a father and son.  He added that the stories that circulated mostly online were false. He said. "Initially I did not want to say anything about the issue I had with Tekno at the One Africa Music Fest because if I speak, the industry would not be happy about what happened. I just want to be silent on the matter because what actually happened was more or less like the quarrel of a father and son in the house. When a father has a problem with his child in a house, that is when the child will do something that is not good, you scold him and it ends there.  "What people have been reading was not actually what happened. When these young boys in the industry act sometimes, it makes me remember the Yoruba proverb which says, 'a child can have as many clothes as an elder but he can never have as many rags as the elder.' Also, what an elderly person sees while seated, a child cannot see it even if he climbs a skyscraper. With all due respect to every artiste in Nigeria both old and young, what happened on that day has never happened before. No artiste in Nigeria has ever disrespected me. Every artiste in this country knows that I am always there for them and I also try my best not to disrespect any one of them.  They can all testify to this. I always wish every music artiste the best because I stand for African entertainment. | An Igbo Lady Finally Reveals The Lady Who Made Her Convert To Islam Posted: 02 Dec 2017 11:53 AM PST  This Igbo lady, Aishat Obi, who sometime ago converted to Islam and trended online - has finally revealed one of the people who attracted her to Islamic religion. According to Aishat Obi, the lady Faddylado Sama, reportedly has a good character and has been labelled her twin sister. After her conversion, Aishat revealed that she is proud to be an Igbo Muslim despite heavy backlash which might be associated with that. Aishat shared on her Facebook page the following: "This is my twins sister from another womb. She is more than a sister to me .She is among the people whom there character attracted me more to Islamic religion.I pray to have a friend like her in my nest life. | ''No Regrets Going Into Politics'' - Yul Edochie Posted: 02 Dec 2017 10:53 AM PST  The brave Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie who had some debut into politics recently has said he has no regrets taking a little break from the movie industry to pursue his dreams of becoming a governor. The actor who lost to the incumbent governor Mr Obianno in the recently concluded Anambra State guber elections disclosed this. "No regrets at all. I'm happy I ventured into it and I have come to stay in politics. And I urge more Nigerian youths to come into politics. We all need to know how our state and country is being run and make contributions. If you are not part of the solution then you are part of the problem. 95% of the people in Nigerian politics are there to grab money, they don't care about giving the people good governance. I gained so much experience, which I couldn't have gotten elsewhere. It brought me closer to the people and I witnessed various problems, which different communities in Anambra are facing. Through me, their voices will be heard," he stated. Speaking on what's next for him as a highly sought after face in Nollywood movies, Edochie assured fans to be ready for him, as he make plans to make up for the lost days. "Well, for now, I can't list out what's next for me, but fans should be watchful. I left acting and directing for months for politics and a lot of my people missed me. I missed them too. | Why Buhari Was ‘Banned’ From Entering U.S. For 15 Years - Atku Posted: 02 Dec 2017 10:42 AM PST  By Samuel Ogundipe President Muhammadu Buhari was banned from entering the United States because Americans had reservations about his religious views, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar said Friday.  Critics have long accused Mr. Buhari of holding extreme religious views that antithetical to modern democratic principles. In 2001, Mr. Buhari drew nationwide backlash when he declared his total commitment to Islamic doctrine of Shari'a and called on Muslims to only vote for their fellow Muslims during elections. But the president has denied being an extremist, saying he tolerates other religions as much as he does his Muslim faith. "For about 15 years, Buhari could not enter America on account of religious considerations," Mr. Abubakar said in an interview with Dele Momodu which was published in The Boss Newspaper Saturday. Mr. Momodu had asked Mr. Abubakar why he had not been able to visit the United States for many years, amid speculations that he is wanted in that country for a slew of sharp practices. Mr. Abubakar, who is expected to run for president in 2019, said the U.S. authorities have nothing against him. He said he was able to visit Europe regularly without being arrested for onward extradition to the U.S. The former vice president said if Nigerians elect him president, he would be allowed into the United States just like Mr. Buhari and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, both of whom are now being accorded red carpet treatments in the U.S. after becoming leaders of their respective countries. Mr. Abubakar was named in at least one fraudulent deal in the United States, which involved contract award in Nigeria. An American congressman Williams Jefferson was jailed in 2009 after being convicted by the FBI in relation to that case. A $100,000 cash which federal agents found in Mr. Jefferson's apartment during a raid was said to have been from Mr. Abubakar. Mr. Jefferson acted as a middleman in the deal, which saw him use his political connection to top Nigerian officials to get the broadband contract for iGate, a company linked to his immediate family members. The U.S. Embassy in Abuja did not immediately respond to PREMIUM TIMES email seeking comments Saturday afternoon. Presidential spokespersons Femi Adesina and Garba Shehu, did not immediately respond to PREMIUM TIMES' requests for comments Saturday. Mr. Abubakar, vice-president from 1999-2007, dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress last week Friday, citing failure by the Buhari administration to improve the quality of life in the country and neglect of the youth in federal cabinet appointment. | Youths Chase SARS Officers In Yaba For Shooting Man Posted: 02 Dec 2017 10:36 AM PST  Some youths in Yaba area of Lagos chased down a group of police officers attached to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad(SARS) for allegedly shooting a young man and stealing the phone of a 'yahoo' boy. According to some eyewitnesses and Twitter Users, @yabakid and @Blazey_oye, the officers were stoned with stones as they made as they tried to leave the scene with their navy blue van. | Intel Partners With Warner Bros To Bring Entertainment To Self-Driving Cars Posted: 02 Dec 2017 09:36 AM PST  Entertainment company Warner Brothers and tech firm Intel announced on Wednesday at the LA Auto Show that they're partnering on a deal to develop an in-cabin,immersive experiences in autonomous vehicle (AV) settings. . The CEO of Intel said Warner Bros will help create an experience for a concept car that aims to demonstrate what entertainment in autonomous vehicles could look like in the future. He said the immersive experiences might include virtual reality and augmented reality features that riders can access inside the vehicle.For example, a fan of the superhero Batman could enjoy riding in the Batmobile through the streets of Gotham City, while augmented reality capabilities render the car a literal lens to the outside world, enabling passengers to view advertising and other discovery experience. The partnership illustrates one of the many ways companies will be vying for consumers attention in autonomous vehicles once they're deployed en masse. Intel predicts that once drivers become riders or passengers, the time they spend watching videos and tinkering with their smartphones or other connected devices will increase. Intel and its newly acquired company Mobileye, are working on building out a fleet of 100 autonomous vehicles that are supposed to hit public roads before the end of 2017.The fleet of vehicles will include a variety of car brands and types.
