ARISE Fashion Week 2018 will as usual showcase the best and brightest fashion designers from around the world.

The supermodel had earlier on today thanked the presidency for inviting her to Nigeria, but the presidency came out publicly to refute the claim.

See Noami's earlier tweet:

Was a pleasure to be invited by His Excellency The President of The Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari to the private launch of Eko Atlantic.

The President Buhari's media aide, Bashir Ahmad came up moments later and issued a disclaimer that Naomi Campbell only met the President  when he was touring the Eko Atlantic project, and requested to take photos with him.

See Bashir's tweet:

For the sake of clarity, President @MBuhari didn't invite Ms. Naomi Campbell to any event during his 2-day visit to Lagos State. They only met at the Eko Atlantic City while Mr. President was touring the project, and she requested to take photos with him.

Don't Let Buhari Use You Again - PDP Tell Tinubu

Don't Let Buhari Use You Again - PDP Tell Tinubu

According to a report by Politicsngr.com has it that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has warned the national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be careful of President Muhammadu Buhari's current 'closeness' to him.

The party in a statement credited to its Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbodiyan, the PDP blamed the APC chieftain for the failure of the Buhari Presidency. The PDP also advised Tinubu not to 'let Buhari use him for a second time' to win the 2019 Elections.

"The PDP watched with amusement as Asiwaju Tinubu struggled with words to appease President Buhari and give him assurances that he can win a second term election in the face of mass failure both in governance and in their discredited, rejected and troubled platform".

"It was a direct admittance of failure and indictment on President Buhari's administration, when Asiwaju pointedly told the president that the ship of the nation, under his (Buhari's) watch, still needs to be rescued, almost three years down the line.

"It is tragic that Asiwaju had to tutor his visitor, who had no policy direction since his election in 2015, by engaging in a revision of the programmes and policies of the PDP, such as the leasing system, the mortgage and pension schemes which boosted the economy and directly impacted on the lives of Nigerians.

"More pathetic is the fact that the APC leader presented the PDP programmes as if he was introducing novel ideas in the economy.

"This clearly stood with our position that the APC government is incompetent and lacking in ideas of how to move the nation forward,".

"We Can Shut This Govt Down " - Pastor Tunde Bakare Tells Buhari

"We Can Shut This Govt Down " - Pastor Tunde Bakare Tells Buhari

The Senior Pastor of the Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare, discloses that Nigerians can shut down the government as a result of herdsmen killings in recent times.

The man of God made this declaration on the sidelines of "the real cost of subsidy", an event organised by Enough is Enough, a coalition of youth advocacy groups.

He said the order by the inspector general of police for vigilante groups and weapon-bearing individuals to surrender "illegal firearm" should apply to all including the herdsmen.

"This is why I said this government is compromised completely," he said.

"If you are making such a rule, let it be a statute of general application, let it apply to all. Nigerians to wake up, shine their eyes and put their own destinies into their hands. They should fight for themselves.

There are several ways to do it. Civil unrest is one of them, protest is another. We (Nigerians) can shut this government down. We have the numbers and we will show them that we have done it before and we will do it again."

Bakare also accused the Buhari administration of mismanaging fuel subsidy, saying it refused to deregulate the downstream sector of the oil industry at the expense of Nigerians.

"Show me in the world, any civilised society or any nation that is developed where government does business," he said.

"Government job is to create enabling environment for business to thrive and flourish. Government job is to set policy. In Nigeria, the sleaze they get from it (subsidy) is why they are not letting go. There is only one word for either this government or any government, Buhari inclusive: let him that stole steal no more."

Don’t Accept PDP’s Apology, Bola Tinubu Tells Nigerians

Don't Accept PDP's Apology, Bola Tinubu Tells Nigerians

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, former governor of Lagos state, and the National leader of the All Progressives Congress APC, has called on Nigerians not to accept the apology of the People's Democratic Party PDP, likening it to the case of a thief who is only begging because he was caught in the act.

Asiwaju made this call while speaking at the 10th Bola Tinubu Colloquium- an event organized to celebrate his 66th birthday.

Recently the PDP through it's National chairman, Prince Uche Secondus had asked Nigerians to forgive his party's misdeeds in the past.

This seem not to have gone down well with the ruling party APC as the National leader Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on Nigerians to ignore the apology.

However to err is human, and to forgive is divine!

Lai Mohammed's Letter To Fashola On Jonathan's 2013 Visit To Lagos

Posted: 30 Mar 2018 01:43 AM PDT

Lai Mohammed's Letter To Fashola On Jonathan's 2013 Visit To Lagos

In 2013, when President Goodluck Jonathan wanted to come to Lagos, Alhaji Lai Mohammed wrote a letter to then Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola SAN complaining about the effect it will have on the affairs of Lagosians for 15 minutes,  and asked that the Governor should prevail on President Jonathan to either postpone the visit or cancel it.

See this write up by Stanley Azuakola below for full details:

President Goodluck Jonathan plans to visit Lagos on Thursday, 18th April, and The Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) is not happy with that development.
The opposition party says following precedence, the visit of the president would most likely lead to the closure of roads which could prevent thousands of ACN supporters coming in from all over the country to make it to the venue, warning that it may lead to frustration and provocation of the ACN members.

In a letter written to the Lagos governor, Babatunde Fashola, by the ACN national publicity secretary, Lai Mohammed, the party said, "the timing of the president's visit and the attendant disruption of traffic in Lagos may be perceived as a continuation of the perceived attempts by the PDP-led federal government to frustrate the merger of our party with other progressive parties, which is a key item on the agenda of our national convention on Thursday."

The party said that frustration of ACN members might lead to a breach of peace, "the consequences of which no one may be able to fathom."

Mohammed appealed to the Lagos governor to advise President Jonathan to either reschedule his visit or use helicopter so that roads would not be closed on such a busy day.

Nigerians what do we call this?  Some Nigerians say "Hypocrisy will hide in shame if it visits Nigeria"
