| Buhari, APC Taking Nigerians For Fools - Obasanjo Says Posted: 10 May 2018 03:23 PM PDT  Chief Olusegun Obasanjo former President of Nigeria, on Thursday declared that President Muhammadu Buhari, and his All Progressives Congress (APC) controlled government have been taking "Nigerians for fools."The former President, lamented that the fortunes of most Nigerians has dwindled in the last three years despite claims to the contrary by Buhari and APC, hence the concerted efforts and call from people to send them packing in 2019.According to the Nationonline the ex – President, who made this known while briefing reporters at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, also announced that his Coalition for Nigeria Movement (CNM) has adopted the African Democratic Congress(ADC) as a political platform to achieve the dream of changing the current state of governance at all levels in the country come 2019.He also warned people not accept the call for forgiveness by the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) for taking Nigerians for a ride, saying while the party had sought forgiveness, it did not deemed it fit to discipline members who used eight years to bring woes upon the country through poor governance. | Posted: 10 May 2018 10:28 AM PDT  A Nigerian female student from Katsina State, Ummukhulthum Abubakar Sadiq, has bagged a first class degree in Medicine and Surgery at Batterjee Medical College, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.Ummukhulthum Abubakar Sadiq, the daughter of Senator Abubakar Sadiq Yar'adua from Kastina State, at their graduation ceremony in Jeddah on May 5, 2018, Ummukhulthum was conferred with Bachelor's in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) and given a prize as one of the best graduating students.She attended ABC Academy and Nurul-Bayan International Academy, Abuja and completed her senior secondary education at Nigerian Tulip International College, Abuja in 2011.Her father, Senator Abubakar Sadiq Yar'adua said Ummukhulthum completed the recitation of the Holy Qur'an in 2005 at the age of 10 and memorized it in four years between 2014 and 2018. | Oshiomhole Finally Makes His Intention To Contest For National Chairman Of APC Known Posted: 10 May 2018 08:54 AM PDT  The former Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole, has officially declared his intention to run for the office of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC.Oshiomhole said during his declaration in Abuja, on Thursday, that he is contesting for the office to make a difference a difference in the Party.According to the DailyTrustng, the former Labour leader, said he will contribute and continue the development made by the incumbent Chairman, John Oyegun.He added, "I'am running for the office of the National Chairman because everything can get better and because its in line with the party's constitution. | 25-Year-Old African American Beat 6 Police Officers Simultaneously Posted: 10 May 2018 02:36 AM PDT  Daily mail has reported a story of an African American young man of 25 years old who was alleged to have fought 6 policemen at the same time.But the family of the young man has came up to disclose that he has a periodic mental issue and had accused the police of not handling the issue properly. A man has been charged with three counts of battery after he got in a fight with six police officers. A video of the brawl between the officers and Demetrious Lowe, 25, on a street in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has gone viral. The video goes back and forth between the officers violently hitting Lowe with police batons and Lowe approaching them with his fists curled and blood streaming down his face. At least three of the officers were injured and Lowe suffered several broken bones in the incident, which Lowe's family says was an unusual mental health episode. On May 2 police were dispatched to the Northern Milwaukee neighborhood after receiving reports that a man had kicked down the door of a residence.  They found Lowe, who matched the suspect's description, walking nearby bleeding from his left arm and repeatedly saying: I am King James.' The officers ordered the 25-year-old to stop, but when he refused they tried to surround him. He pulled away and made his hand into a fist as he walked toward one of the officers, who tried to pepper spray him but it had no effect.  Lowe then allegedly punched the officer in the face, knocking him into He started to run as the officers pursued him until three more officers surrounded him, striking him with batons.  Lowe delivered another punch to an officer's face, knocking him to the ground where Lowe struck him again in the back of the head. He also punched another officer in the face, and caused a fourth to sprain his left thumb in the struggle.  Lowe's family has said he was having an unusual mental health episode and are questioning whether police followed proper policies during the incident. The family has said that Lowe suffered broken bones requiring reconstructive surgery.  He was reportedly moved from the hospital to the county jail Saturday night. Three officers have been placed on administrative leave with a fourth officer also suspended as the family questions whether proper police protocol was followed during the incident. | Female Lawyer To Sue IKEDC For Disconnecting The Whole Building, Because One Flat Refused Payment Posted: 10 May 2018 12:54 AM PDT  A Nigerian female lawyer residing in Ikeja area of Lagos, and a Twitter user has taken herself and her Constitution and is heading to Court, to get Justice following the disconnection of her apartment by IKEDC officials.
