| Banks In Sagamu Today Shut Customers Outside Over Security Concerns Posted: 23 May 2018 09:39 AM PDT  Customers to Banks in Sagamu were stranded today, May 23rd following the refusal of the Banks to open to customers as a result of the absence of Police personnel and Armoured tanks. As a result of this, Banking activities were paralysed as Banks were still waiting for the Police before opening their doors for the day operations. | Nigerian Customs Has Impounded E-money’s 10 Luxury Vehicles Over N6m Import Duty Posted: 23 May 2018 09:15 AM PDT  Nigerian popular billionaire music promoter and entertainment CEO, #E-Money, has been visited by men from the Federal Operations Unit, FOU, Zone A, of the Nigeria Customs Service.According to a report by Vanguard, the Operatives has allegedly impounded 10 luxury vehicles belonging to #E-Money, over allegations of under-payment of duty on the vehicles.The report added that the vehicles, said to have been cleared by officers and men of Apapa Customs Command, were intercepted by officials of FOU, following a tip-off about the value of duty paid on them. A reliable source at the FOU confirmed the seizure to Vanguard, explaining that E-Money himself had visited the Unit to try and take back custody of the vehicles, but that FOU leadership had insisted on complete payment of duty before the vehicles can be released to him. Based on this the entertainment CEO was compelled to pay the full duties of the remaining over N6 million before the vehicles were released to him. The Customs Area Controller, CAC, Garba Mohammed, confirmed the story: "We have released the vehicles to him. He came and paid over N6 million. I think about N6.7 million or thereabouts." | "Buhari Begged Like A Baby, Obasanjo Made Mistake By Not Jailing Buhari" - Fani Kayode Posted: 23 May 2018 08:14 AM PDT  Former media aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, and Aviation Minister, Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode (FFK) has reacted to a statement allegedly credited to President Muhammadu Buhari in which he said ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo has questions to answer concerning power project.While speaking to supporters at the Abuja Villa, Buhari said, "You know the rail was killed and one of the former heads of state was bragging that he spent more than 15 billion American dollars on power. Where is the power?" he had asked.However, in a swift response, Obasanjo has released a statement, stating that the president's claim is based on ignorance.Below is the statement OBJ released: It has come to the attention of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo that a statement credited to President Muhammadu Buhari, apparently without correct information and based on ignorance, suggested that $16 billion was wasted on power projects by "a former President". We believe that the President was re-echoing the unsubstantiated allegation against Chief Obasanjo by his own predecessor but one.While it is doubtful that a President with proper understanding of the issue would utter such, it should be pointed out that records from the National Assembly had exculpated President Obasanjo of any wrong-doing concerning the power sector and has proved the allegations as false.For the records, Chief Obasanjo has addressed the issues of the power sector and the allegations against him on many occasions and platforms, including in his widely publicised book, My Watch in which he exhaustively stated the facts and reproduced various reports by both the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), which conducted a clinical investigation into the allegations against Chief Obasanjo, and the Ad-Hoc Committee on the Review of the Recommendations in the Report of the Committee on Power on the Investigation into how the Huge Sums Of Money was Spent on Power Generation, Transmission And Distribution between June 1999 and May 2007 without Commensurate Result. We recommend that the President and his co-travellers should read Chapters 41, 42, 43 and 47 of My Watch for Chief Obasanjo's insights and perspectives on the power sector and indeed what transpired when the allegation of $16 billion on power projects was previously made. If he cannot read the three-volume book, he should detail his aides to do so and summarise the chapters in a language that he will easily understand. In the same statement credited to the President, it was alleged that there was some bragging by Chief Obasanjo over $16 billion spent on power. To inform the uninformed, the so-called $16 billion power expenditure was an allegation against Chief Obasanjo's administration and not his claim. The President also queried where the power generated is. The answer is simple: The power is in the seven National Integrated Power Projects and eighteen gas turbines that Chief Obasanjo's successor who originally made the allegation of $16 billion did not clear from the ports for over a year and the civil works done on the sites. Chief Obasanjo challenges, and in fact encourages, anybody to set up another enquiry if in doubt and unsatisfied with the EFCC report and that of the Hon. Aminu Tambuwal-led ad-hoc committee. Mr. Femi Fani Kayode, former Aviation Minister, reacted to the claim by President Buhari concerning Obasanjo and the power project issue, and stated that Obasanjo made a big mistake by not jailing Buhari for looting PTF funds.  Look at his tweet via Twitter: "The greatest mistake that OBJ made was not to prosecute and jail @MBuhari for looting PTF funds.I saw the report and it was shocking.Billions of dollars had vanished. Controversial blogger Kemi Olunloyo had even said she was carrying a prosthetic bump.To prove herself, the expectant mother has taken to Instagram to show off her bare bump and reveal how she hide it all these while.The hardworking Linda also ceased the opportunity to clarify her statement on celibacy which many have criticised her, after she announced her pregnancy.  See what she wrote; "(How to hide a baby bump 101. Suck belle in and wear a high waist...lol). So, a few friends have been calling me, asking me how I'm holding up with all the trolling on the internet since I announced my pregnancy. I kind of felt bad for them because they were worrying over something I wasn't. I've been on the internet for nearly 12 years now, I've made money, I've met amazing people, I've written about folks and stepped on toes (mostly of course, unknowingly...lol). So when people troll me, that's fine. It's called Karma. Lol. Fortunately it doesn't get to me. There's nothing I haven't been called on the internet, and it will never stop because this is where I plan to do business for the rest of my life! So we all are stuck together. I'm not going anywhere...lol. So let's address some issues...and the reason why I bother is for the young girls who look up to me. I owe you and will always speak to help you in anyway I can because I want you to shine and be the better version of yourself. So number one, let's talk about this celibacy issue. I preached it a lot of times but I have NEVER said do not have sex before marriage. Here's what I have always said to young girls and I maintain it. Never ever give your body to a man for money. You're worth so much more than that. You're beautiful beyond measure and there's absolutely nothing a man can give you that you can't give urself if you apply yourself, believe in yourself and work hard. Start now that you're young, pursue your dreams, work hard till your hands are sore and ur mind is tired, never listen to anyone who tells you you're not good enough or you're wasting your time, and no matter how hard it gets, no matter how rough the road becomes, never give up on yourself or your dreams. 2. I've always also said & I maintain it; do not sleep around because your body is too precious & deserves respect. You deserve love & dignity. I've always said sex should only happen when you find yourself in a loving relationship, with someone you love & who loves you back. He have removed the lady's breast, her head, and some other body parts.According to information we had gathered, the motive behind the killing is for money ritual. What a human being is this man. Fr Felix Tyolaha and 17 parishioners who were killed in an dastardly attack at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Ukpor-Mbalom, Gwer East LGA of Benue State by suspected herdsmen were buried Tuesday amid weeping and tears. Pastor Yemi Osinbajo, the Vice President Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom, the Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama attended the burial. According to reports, the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo and Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi could not hold back their tears during the mass burial.  Professor Osinbajo sympathised with the state governor, Samuel Ortom and the people of the state over the sad and unfortunate incident, and assured them of the federal government efforts to put an end to the killings.  He also prayed God to give the bereaved families the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.  The Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, on his part broke down in tears as he sighted the caskets being lowered into the graves.
