Confused about options for staying and working in the United States after graduation? Worried about the H1B quota? What about the STEM extension for OPT?  Does that still exist?
Presented by immigration attorney Mark Rhoads of the law firm McCandlish Holton.
Topics will include Optional Practical Training (OPT) and H-1B visas, including an explanation of the H-1B quota and the H-1B lottery.  He will also discuss the impact of the new White House administration on work visas and immigration generally.  
In addition, Mark will provide practical strategies for talking to employers about work visa issues during interviews.
Audience: All UMD International Students.  The Clark School has opened this workshop to the whole university!

UMD Chinese students who are away from Chinese job market, come learn how you can find job opportunities! Lockin China overseas recruitment will present a practical employment workshop, for students who want to find opportunities in China.

By participating in the workshop, you will:
  • Understand the Chinese recruitment market and learn how to best identify job resources. This year, we have convened 2,000 of employers and over 30,000 of positions for overseas students.
  • Understand the job search timeline for graduates
  • Understand your future career positioning and determine how your strengths match with employers' requirements
  • Understand how to write a targeted and competitive resume/CV
  • Participate in on-site Group Mock Interviews
