Soji Adagunodo, the Osun State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on Friday said the party's governorship candidate, Ademola Adeleke, was still in the race.Mr Soji stated this during a media briefing in Osogbo, the Osun State capital on Friday.Earlier in the day, there was a text message being circulated that Adeleke had withdrawn from contesting the election, Soji said.He therefore stated that the information was completely false and was intended to confuse and dissuade the electorates from casting their votes for Adeleke.The PDP State Chairman said; "There is a text message going around. It is a tactic by the candidate of the Social Democratic Party to discourage voters from coming out to vote or to use it to curry sympathy or to make people feel that he is the one running now. "Our candidate has never merged or stepped down for anybody. We are not even discussing such. "We are the main candidate. Senator Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke is contesting and he is going to win the election. "There is no merger and no withdrawal in any form." The Nigerian Police Force today paraded three suspects for offences of criminal conspiracy, forcible entry, and impersonation by pasting four forged and counterfeit police stickers with the inscription, 'This Land Belongs To The Inspector General of Police, IGP Idris Abubakar' at different locations around Gbagada, Lagos State.According to the Police PRO, Jimoh Moshood, the suspects are Williams Iyeke, Julius Babasola and Olufemi Ogundare while the exhibits found with them include; Four (4) Copies of Stickers with the inscription "This Land Belongs to the Inspector General of Police – IGP Idris Abubakar" with Nigeria and Police Flags insignias.The first two Suspects, Williams Iyeke and Julius Babasola, mentioned above were arrested for conspiring and pasting of four (4) forged and counterfeit Police stickers with inscription "This Land Belongs to the Inspector General of Police – IGP Idris Abubakar" with Nigeria flag, Police Flag and insignias in four (4) different locations (two (2) undeveloped land and two (2) other buildings under construction) at i. Adewale kuku Streets, ii. Adefemi Crescent Street, iii. Akande Crescent and iv. Owolabi Salisu Crescent all located at Millennium Estate, Oke Alo, Gbagada, Lagos State.2. Olufemi Ogundare the third suspect was arrested for forcible entry, malicious damage on the property after Williams Iyeke, Julius Babasola were arrested and taken into custody. The Police is on the trail of one Soji Adeniyi suspected for producing the forged and counterfeit stickers and conspiring with the above mentioned suspects to paste them on the four(4) locations mentioned earlier.3. Their ploy is to deceive members of the public and scare away the authentic owners of the said land and buildings by using the name "IGP Idris Abubakar". 4. The Nigeria Police Force wishes to categorically state that the Inspector General of Police's name is IGP Ibrahim K. Idris, NPM, mni and not IGP Idris Abubakar and has no land or any uncompleted building in the Millennium Estate, Gbagada, Lagos State. 5. Police invitation letter has been served on Soji Adeniyi to appear on 25th September, 2018 at the Force Headquarters, Abuja failure of which the Police will not hesitate to declare him wanted. All suspects have made cautionary statements to the various roles they played in the commission of the crime and they will be arraigned in court on completion of investigation. 6. Members of the public are implored to be wary of fraudsters and mischievous persons such as these three (3) suspects who would want to use the name of important personalities to commit crime. Ag. The major opposition party, in Nigeria, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of appointing fraudulent people in his cabinet.Below is the full article as shared:The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says the revelation that the Minister of Communication, Adebayo Shittu, dodged his compulsory one-year national service, further validates its position that President Buhari has many persons of questionable character in his cabinet.The party said President Buhari, in appointing fraudulent persons to hold key offices in his government, has shown that he has a weighty integrity burden, contrary to the 'Mr. Clean' posturing which his handlers had always wanted Nigerians to believe.The PDP insists that President Buhari has the moral burden of explaining what gains he derives from appointing fraudulent characters into very sensitive positions, a development that questions his integrity as a leader.President Buhari should provide answer to allegations that such individuals are being used as henchmen to fritter away trillions of naira from our treasury to service All Progressives Congress (APC) interests and the Presidency cabal Nigerians know how President Buhari refused to sack, let alone prosecute the disgraced erstwhile minister of finance, Kemi Adeosun, despite her culpability in certificate forgery and how the agents of the Federal Government escorted her out of the country to prevent her from opening up on the humongous corruption in the Buhari Presidency. Mr. President has also not declared why he has refused to sack or prosecute his Special Assistant on Prosecution and Chairman of the Special Investigative Panel for the Recovery of Public Property, Chief Okoi Obono-Obla, despite declaration by the West African Examination Council (WAEC) that he parades a fake certificate. This is in addition to official cover which the Buhari Presidency provides for corrupt officials in various sectors, including the Petroleum Ministry, where over N10 trillion is alleged to have been stolen under fictitious contracts and sleazy oil subsidy deals as well as the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), where indicted officials were reinstated by the Presidency. In fact, the effrontery with which Adebayo Shittu is trying to justify his crime against the nation speaks volume of the impunity in the Buhari administration. The PDP is very sad that the corruption of the Buhari administration have continued to smear our nation in the international arena, leading to the current dearth in foreign direct investments and development partnership to our country. PDP charges the police to immediately charge Adebayo Shittu, while President Buhari should note that Nigerians have lost confidence in his anti-corruption fight. PDP therefore urges President Buhari to prepare himself to accept defeat in the 2019 Presidential elections and quit the stage for a sincere, development oriented President that will be elected on the platform of the PDP. The Ekiti State Police Command, have paraded one Chidi Okoye Christian, for an alleged rape of female students of the Ekiti State University (EKSU).The 18 yeas old suspect, is not a student of the university, but he was apprehended and paraded with his accomplice, Odunmbaku Kayode.Items recovered from him includes, smartphones, ATM cards, a Raleigh bicycle, a cutlass and a pistol.The Chief Security Officer at EKSU, Captain Tunde Ajayi (rtd), while speaking at Iworoko Divisional Headquarters, said seven students had been raped by Okoye in the past three months.Ajayi, who was flanked by the Investigating Police Officer, said most of the victims live in nearby Iworoko. The report from EKSU guard added, that the suspect is usually armed with a pistol with which he threatens his victims. The CSO said: "With a good knowledge of the neighbourhood where Okoye himself resides, it was easy for him to unleash terror in the middle of the night and return to his room, which he shared with an accomplice, Kayode Odunmbaku. "Okoye confessed, and he was identified by his father, who told the police that the suspect has been a wayward boy who ran away from home. TB Joshua said; "There's a picture you watch in your handset," removing the handset from the man's front pocket, "It is very romantic picture. Its a naked picture." The man agreed to all the pastor said before he (Joshua) added, "Why are you addicted to pornography? You are an elderly person addicted to pornography. When this is stopped in your life, your home will be settled." Facing the congregation, the pastor said, "It is inside the phone right now, as he is sitting down here little time he'll watch it. Whenever the man of God is moving round, he'll not watch but when he's not moving, he'll watch. He planned that whenever man of God leaves, he'll watch." Confessing to the habit, the man said, "I'm addicted to pornography and always watch them. "Even as you are prophesying to me now, my girlfriends are texting for me and I'm trying to respond to them. My wife is here. My wife is downstairs now and she did not know about all this. "I have been addicted to pornography for a long time. For more than eighteen years now. I went to holiday in the house of a family friend of mine and he introduced me to pornography and since then I have been watching it. "I married my wife and continued watching pornography and she left me. I married the second one, the same thing happened until I married this third one." Dr Raymond Dokpesi, the Chairman, of Daar Communications; Senator Bala Mohammed and Ambassador Bello Mohammed have dragged President Muhammadu Buhari and the Attorney General of the Federation, before a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos.The men are challenging the constitutionality of Executive Order No 6 of 2018.Dokpesi and others in the suit, are demanding the court to declare that the Presidential Order 6 issued by the President is unlawful.They want the law to be declared null and void and of no effect whatsoever, having regard to the fact that the said order constitutes an attempt by the president to exercise to the detriment of the plaintiffs' judicial and legislative powers not vested in him by the constitution, DAILY POST reports.They are also praying the court for an order nullifying the Order no 6 of 2018 on the ground that it constitutes a negation of the presumption of innocence of the plaintiffs until proven guilty by due process of law, as guaranteed by the constitution. Dokpesi and co are also seeking an order nullifying the Presidential Executive Order on the ground that it scandalises the plaintiffs by stigmatising them as corrupt and labelling their assets as proceeds of corruption liable to forfeiture. They are further demanding for an order of the court nullifying the Presidential Executive Order no 6 of 2018, on the ground that it constitutes a violation of the rule against self-help in that the president purports to take action detrimental to the plaintiffs in respect of assets subject to pending litigation between the Government and the plaintiffs. The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) President, Comrade Ayuba Wabba, has on Wednesday, disclosed that it's members will commence nationwide strike alongside civil society organisations on September 26, unless the tripartite committee completes its assignment on the new minimum wage.Wabba hinted this, after a National Executive Council meeting, in Abuja, also lamented that the Federal Government had failed to show seriousness in implementing the new wage."NEC noted that this is against the principle of collective bargaining as provided in ILO conventions 98 and 131 on minimum wage setting process, which Nigeria had domesticated", he said in a statement."NEC has resolved that at the expiration of the 14 days industrial action notice issued to the federal government over the new minimum wage issue, and the demand of the organised labour was not met, NEC has given NAC and the leadership of organised labour the power to declare appropriate industrial action or any action it deems necessary."NEC in session accordingly approved and applauded the organised labour for taking a proactive step by issuing a statutory 14 days industrial action notice to preserve the sanctity of the collective bargaining process, and the demand for the tripartite committee to reconvene within a set period to finalise its report in line with the principle of collective bargaining. "NEC resolves that all its affiliates unions and the 36 state councils of Congress and the FCT and joint action front communicate the decision of NEC to their members and all workers." The Nigeria Police on Thursday said that President Buhari's directives not to invite Senator Ademola Adeleke, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), governorship candidate in Osun State, has not been exonerated him.It could be recalled that the police on Wednesday invited Senator Adeleke to appear at the force headquarters over an alleged malpractice while sitting for the 2017 National Examination Council (NECO) exams.President Buhari immediately after the invitation had, ordered the IGP to suspend the invitation until after the election.The Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Jimoh Moshood on Thursday, while speaking on NTA, said a suspect could be invited "at any time" as the directive from Buhari does not change anything."There is no time limit to arresting any suspect that has been accused or there is an allegation of an offence. Police action terminates when a matter has been taken to court. We have filed charges in court and the matter is off our hands. "But if there is any directive that we should not invite him, that directive does not exonerate him from [allegation/] court process and the people should know that the rule of law prevails above any other consideration. The PPRO also gave some hint about Osun election and assured the electorates of a peaceful election on Saturday. "As at yesterday, the Deputy Inspector-General of police in the state has gone around the state on what we call 'the show of force exercise' with other security agencies. "The DIG operations is in charge of the security architecture in the state for the election, they have gone round, they have met with people and equally talked to them. "We are enjoying very large cooperation from them, we are hopeful that come Saturday, everything will be peaceful to secure an environment for a credible election," Moshood emphasised. Lol. Gosh, if I tried to, I wouldn't be able to explain what being a mum means to me. I'm in a different zone now! HeheMy mum has been shaking her head since I got the car. Lol. She said to me and my dad; do you know how many houses in Owerri you could have bought with that money? I was like; what the heck do I need houses in Owerri for, I have a house in Lagos. Lol.Anyway I just wanted to share in this joy and also pray for everyone out there calling on God for their breakthrough. Please don't give up on yourself and don't give up on God. Things might look bleak now but trust in your journey and keep fighting. If anyone had told me when I turned 30 in 2010 and I was in bed crying and feeling hopeless, that 8 years later, I would be able to afford my house or this car, I never would have believed it. I dreamed but I didn't dream that big…but that's where God steps in and takes over.I think the best prayer anyone looking for a breakthrough should say when talking to God is; Dear God use me as point of reference; use me to show the world that you are God. Let people be like; 'the God of…', whatever your name is…bless me too!'. And let me tell you, when God chooses you, the blessings are endless. The grace is enormous. People will be confused. Lol.
