What Shehu Sani Said About Buhari Sending ‘Governor To Deal With Him’

Posted: 07 Oct 2018 05:51 PM PDT

Senator Shehu Sani

Senator Shehu Sani, the Senator representing Kaduna has reacted to a statement by President Muhammadu Buhari stating that he did not send out letter to any Governor to deal with him.

Buhari had in a statement forwarded to DAILY POST by his Senior Special Assistant, Garba Shehu distanced himself from a letter currently in circulation, which alleged that he had authorized a Governor to "deal with traitors and disloyal members of APC, especially Senator Shehu Sani."

The brief statement said;

"We wish to confirm that the President is not aware of any such letter, let alone authorising anyone to deal with any party member.Given President Buhari's record, it is inconceivable that he would usurp the role of the party leaders and instruct anyone to punish a party member.

"In the light of above, we would like to appeal to the general public, especially members of the press, to ignore false or unauthorized information intended to attribute to the President any action which is not in line with his character."

Reacting to Buhari's statement, Shehu Sani applauded him for clearing the air.

According to him, he never believed Buhari would give such directions.

The Lawmaker in a post via his Twitter handle, wrote: "Thank you President Buhari for clearing the air on the calumnious memo

"Even though I never believed that the President can 'Direct' a Governor to recall a disloyal Senator. Another executive lie 'bursted'."

See Reasons Nigerians Should Worry About Atiku’s Emergence As PDP Candidate – Ogbonnia, APC Chieftain

Posted: 07 Oct 2018 05:17 PM PDT

SKC Ogbonnia

A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), SKC Ogbonnia, has expressed concern about the emergence of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate.

His reaction was contained in a statement he released Sunday night.

The Politician said: "With this nomination, the Nigerian value system ought to take at centre stage. We are involved. The Nigerian masses are overdue to learn how Mr. Abubakar became a billionaire after retiring as a mere custom officer, and much more.

"The world will like to finally know why a potential president of Nigeria cannot set his foot on the American soil, among many other controversies.

"This election is guaranteed to be like no other. For Nigeria's leadership failure has continued because there appears to be no consequences for bad behavior in the country.

"When there are no consequences for bad behaviour, the bad behaviour only goes to worsen. That explains why the likes of Atiku must not be elected Nigerian president."ns Nigerians Should Worry About Atiku's Emergence As PDP Candidate – Ogbonnia, APC Chieftain

Posted: 07 Oct 2018 02:16 PM PDT

Mrs Aisha Buhari

The wife of the President of Nigeria, Mrs Aisha Buhari, has criticized the primary election conducted by the All Progressives Congress, APC, in some states.

Aisha in a post on her verified Twitter page, expressed disappointment over the processes employed during the elections.

She called on Nigerians to speak out against such impunity employed by the ruling party leadership, Daily Post reports.

Mrs. Buhari said: "It is disheartening to note that some aspirants used their hard earned money to purchase nomination forms, got screened, cleared and campaigned vigorously yet found their names omitted on Election Day, these forms were bought at exorbitant prices.

"Many others contested and yet had their results delayed. Fully knowing that AUTOMATIC tickets have been given to other people.

"All Progressives Congress being a party whose cardinal principle is change and headed by a comrade/ activist whose main concern is for the common man, yet, such impunity could take place under its watch.

"Given this development one will not hesitate than DISSOCIATE from such unfairness, be neutral and speak for the voiceless.

"It is important for the populace to rise against impunity and for voters to demand from aspirants to be committed to the provision of basic amenities such as:1. Potable drinking water
"2. Basic health care ( Primary Health Care centers)

3. Education within conducive & appropriate learning environments.Let us vote wisely!
LONG LIVE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA!"
