WESTERN ATTITUDES TO THE ORIGIN OF THE QUR'AN Theological and Linguistic Approaches of Twentieth Century English Speaking World from William Muir to William M. Watt

This work aims to evaluate the discussion of the 'origins' of the Qur'an in 20th century English-Speaking Western scholarship. In search of a better understanding of the study of the 'origins' of the Qur'an, Chapter One, first presents the historical background of the western 'obsession' with 'origins' and provides a general discussion of how theories of evolution influenced scholars in the 19th and the 20th centuries and how this influence affected the study of religion. Document Management Application at Al-Chasanah Vocational School Jakarta

Management of incoming and outgoing mail documents at Al-Chasanah Vocational School Jakarta is arguably semi-primitive and very far from the word effective and efficient in the management of incoming and outgoing mail documents. It is the process of grouping similar data items into clusters and hence we can define a cluster as a group of items which are similar between them and dissimilar between items of another cluster. This paper is intended to examine and evaluate various data clustering methods and algorithms....

On the Origin of Qurʾānic Arabic

Previous research into the origins of the dialect of Arabic which provided the standard for the Qurʾānic consonantal text has thrown up two puzzles: a puzzle from above, and a puzzle from below. The puzzle from above is that the Muslim philologists who searched earnestly for the Qurʾānic dialect were unable to identify any of the dialects known to them as the source of Qurʾānic Arabic. The puzzle from below is why, among the many thousands of pre-Qurʾānic ancient Arabic inscriptions, spread over a vast region, there are so few inscriptions which could reflect a precursor to Qurʾānic Arabic....

Demographic Impacts in IT Education: Research Agendas

Culture impacts upon use, useability and decision-making processes that surround Information Technology (IT). Radical changes in the demographic profile of New Zealand cause us to reflect on the impact of such changes, as the underlying culture of the country must change with the demographic changes. This process gives rise to some interesting questions, including whether we still accept Hofstede's analysis
