I feel that Jim broke technical concepts down into 'bite size' pieces and that made it way easier to take each message on board. The videos are great to go back over and review a particular topic. A huge advantage of the course was the facebook group where we got feedback from each other and from Jim and questions that you hadn't even thought to ask were answered for you. Each assignment encouraged you to take up the camera and try something else, or something new. Another big plus for me was that the '31 days' could be taken at your own pace and over as long a time period as you needed. Best photographic investment since I bought the camera in 2008!!

I joined this course about a month after getting my first DSLR camera, so I was an absolute beginner. Jim's clear, easy to follow explanations and instruction, along with the progressive, structured nature of the lessons made the learning process really easy.
