Nollywood Actress: Daramola-Salako speaks on why she stopped spanking her children

Posted: 07 Jan 2019 12:00 AM PST

Daramola Salako

Actress, Foluke Daramola-Salako, who has always shown undying love for her children on social media, says she doesn't believe in using the cane on her children any more.

The actress told Sunday Scoop that over the years, she had realised that using the cane on children doesn't mean they would be well behaved.  Daramola-Salako stated, "I have learnt that you don't need to shout at your children for them to be better. As a parent, you have to understand the weaknesses and strengths of your children. If you need to apologise to your children, please do. With that, you will not push them outside and they will remain your friends. In the past, I used to beat my children but I don't do that again because it doesn't solve anything. Whenever I talk to my daughter, she stays calm. But those times I used to whip her, I realised that she became tougher. I felt that she could stop telling me things about her and I didn't want that for myself."

Describing motherhood as fun and challenging at the same time, Foluke said, "When they become teenagers, you have to take your time to understand them. If care is not taken, they can grow away from you and you will not know them anymore. Also, I don't want to do anything that will make my children have inferiority complex."

Yemi Alade Doesn’t Consider Tiwa Savage A Rival –Manager

Posted: 06 Jan 2019 11:00 PM PST

Yemi Alade and Tiwa Savage, Rivals?

Recently, two of the biggest female African music stars in Nigeria and Africa, Yemi Alade and Tiwa Savage, appeared to have a fight on social media over the size of their buttocks. The singers are not known to be friends, which perhaps made fans to tag them as rivals.

But Alade's long-time manager, Taiye Aliu, said there was no rivalry between both singers. He said, "We are focused solely on music; we have no time for rivalry or anything of that sort.

The sky is so big for everyone to fly. Do you think there is a rivalry between Femi Otedola and Aliko Dangote? Yemi Alade doesn't consider Tiwa Savage a rival."

Affirming that 2018 was an amazing year for Alade as she had the opportunity to take her music to new places across the globe, Aliu said, "The only thing is to put in more work; it is never enough. As an artiste, you will always want to have more impact on your community and the world. Right now, Yemi Alade is not just a Nigerian but an African ambassador too."

Aliu also said Alade never took criticisms of her music personally, saying that "all she does is to work harder."

"Burna Boy Is An Ingrate" – Adeyinka Oluwamayowa Writes

Posted: 06 Jan 2019 10:20 PM PST

Burna Boy Is An Ingrate - Adeyinka Oluwamayowa Writes

Burna Boy has been in the news lately following his outburst with organisers of the 2019 Coachella festival for putting his name in small fonts in their flyers.

But he stepped on a lot of toes when he defended himself saying, 'I know for a fact that my own country, NIGERIA is home to the largest number of backward Unprogressive FOOLS. I will still fight for them because they are not mentally advanced enough to fight for themselves'.

Nigerians responded to him with fire and fury on social media and in this piece, journalist and blogger, Adeyinka Mayowa explains why Burna Boy is an Ingrate.

Read below…

Nigerian singer Burna Boy may at the  top of his game right now, he may be getting much buzz for his music in and outside Nigeria, but how long can he maintain this newfound stardom without messing up?

I'm a 'good music' lover and I won't hide the fact that Burna Boy is a talented musician who should be respected for what he has done in the music industry.

Being one of the most creative musicians to come of the West African country, Burna Boy has consistently believe he can keep promoting his craft with 'unprogressive' controversies that are doing no good to his career other than 'backwardness'.

It is evident enough that he hasn't learnt from why he went out of spotlight initially, which he worked tirelessly for to recover again – going from being A-list artiste to an upcoming artiste and now an A-list artiste.

Burna Boy's not too pleasant personality, proud and aggressive attitudes towards his fans and Nigerians in general were among the reasons he relegated at first, now that he has the limelight, he has yet again started emitting these toxic characters. What a shame!

Having the talent and money to promote yourself are not enough to be a successful artiste anywhere in the world if you cannot respect those consuming your music and those who will do anything to show you love. In a now deleted post shared on Friday, January 4, 2018, Burna Boy wrote,

"Don't worry, I know for a fact that my own country, NIGERIA is home to the largest number of backward Unprogressive FOOLS.

"I will still fight for them because they are not mentally advanced enough to fight for themselves. They will Forever have my Genuine undying LOVE.

"To the few proud Young AFRICAN Intellectuals who will not conform to whatever bullshit they are given. You are the Only Hope of AFRICA. God bless you all."

Before I dwell so much on this unpalatable post of the 'Boy' about Nigerians, I'll give you a benefit of doubt, because you've swallowed your words by deleting the post.

However, you need to have this at the back of your mind, the fans who saved your career the second time will not do that for you the third time, if you continue to disrespect them. Whenever you're frustrated about any situation, be reasonable enough to address it appropriately.

I leave you with peace and love.

My voice once got me an instant job –Yemi Blaq

Posted: 06 Jan 2019 10:10 PM PST

Nollywood Actor Yemi Blaq

Popular Nollywood actor, Yemi Blaq, is known for his deep and intimidating voice. In a chat with Saturday Beats, the Nollywood actor revealed how his deep voice got him a job offer from a radio station instantly.

"I shot a movie in 2007, titled, 'Letters to a stranger', but apart from the fact that I looked like the character they wanted; my voice was important in getting me the role. All my brothers talk like me, it's in the gene. At age 17, I called in on a radio programme, and the managing director of the radio station was the one hosting the programme on that day.

"After the telephone call, he asked me to come the next day and he offered me a job. I thanked him but I couldn't accept the offer because I wasn't ready for a job at the time. I am happy my fans love my voice, sometimes when I listen to myself, I also like it. I wanted to focus on my music career then, I wanted to be on stage rapping, singing and doing my things.

"I have recorded a couple of songs, but I am a perfectionist when it comes to music. I am not going to put out anything that doesn't represent my thoughts and aspirations. I am currently working on some of my songs; they are not the regular secular songs, so I was advised to release them with videos.

"My most cherished physical attribute would be my height, I wanted to be much taller than I am when I was young, but God decided to stop me at 6ft3. My son is going to achieve that for me so I am happy; I wanted my height to stop at 6ft7," he told Saturday Beats.

The actor also talked about some of the roles he has featured in as an actor, explaining how he handled some challenging ones in the past.

"I have had a couple of challenging roles, there was a time I played the role of a rapist; which has nothing to do with my personality. I interpreted the role so well. The actress I acted alongside had to ask me if that was my real personality; I was satisfied with that comment because it meant I interpreted the role well.

"I love my job so much and I look forward to exploring different roles. Anytime I am going on set, I look forward to meeting new people and challenges. I always feel good when my fans give me positive feedback," he said.

Asked about his opinion about the many failed marriages in the entertainment industry, the dark-skinned actor noted that the failed marriages in the industry were pronounced because the individuals involved are celebrities.

"There are many failed marriages everywhere, the ones in Nollywood are more pronounced because there are more news stories about celebrities than regular people. It is an anomaly affecting the society today; there is a paradigm shift when it comes to relationships and families. I would advise women to talk to their sons more about what women really desire in a relationship.

"Fathers should also talk to their daughters more about how they should behave in marriage. When I met my wife, we had mutual respect for each other; it wasn't about the physical attributes, it was about the talent and intellect.

"I have always been sapiosexual; I am not about a woman's physique; I am about a woman's mind. Unfortunately, I discovered there are not too many intelligent women around because the society seems to force women to become shelves. The next generation is likely to be affected because a high percentage of a child's intelligence is got from the mother," he said.

Nollywood Actress Patience Ozokwor Opens Up on who She Truely is

Posted: 06 Jan 2019 10:05 PM PST

Nollywood Actress Patience Ozokwor

Veteran actress, Patience Ozokwor, aka Mama G, is unarguably one of the best that the silver screen has seen in recent times. She speaks with Punch about her career, marriage and other issues.

Excerpts

Do you sometimes regret acting 'wicked' roles in movies?

Any actor worth his salt should be able to deliver on whatever role he or she is given to play. For people to be so affected by the roles I have played means that I did a good job in interpreting the characters I was given.

However, I wouldn't like to pass wrong messages to anyone through my movies.

Don't you feel stereotyped at times?

If you study my career, you will realise that I have played a lot of roles over the years. However, the ones where I act as a strict or vocal person are the ones that have been more popular. I guess that's what people like.

However, I always strive to strike a balance and I don't act just one type of role.

Some people feel you are able to act as a wicked mother-in-law so well because you are one in real life. Is that really so?

Nothing can be farther from the truth. I am a simple person who doesn't like to interfere in other people's lives.

Sometimes, I cry when I watch some of the movies I acted in. I am nothing like that and you can never see me where wicked acts are being perpetuated. If anybody close to me does something wrong, I will not shield the person. Like I have said several times, I am an actress and every character I have ever played ended on the set.

You got married at a young age. In what ways did that experience impact on your growth as a person?

I believe firmly that everything that happens to a person is ordained by God. You may not understand why you're going through certain situations but as you grow older, you will recognise the hand of God in your life.

Truly, I got married at a young age due to the bidding of my parents. At that age, marriage wasn't what was on my mind but I had to go into it to make my parents happy. It was a combination of good and bad times but I thank God because that experience really built me as a person and taught me a lot. It made me more mature. As a young girl going into marriage, I didn't have it rosy at that point because I didn't understand many things. At the time I got married to my husband, I had a lot of suitors vying for my hands in marriage but I had to go with my parents' choice.

However, my late husband was a good man and he took care of his family.

Why do you think your parents made that choice for you?

The question would be best answered by them.

Your late husband was sick for sometime before he passed. How did you cope then?

It wasn't really a palatable experience and I don't like to recollect it. However, God was able to get us through. Living with someone who is ill could be very challenging because you have to do many things on your own. At times, it could be frustrating but one would keep hoping that the sick person gets better. When he finally died, I felt very bitter but I could not question God. Recall that I was also quite young at the time.

After you got born again, you changed your style of dressing and advocated same for others. Considering that people have criticised you for that, how do you feel?

I did not advocate anything for anybody. We all have our lives to live and we have different relationships with God. That I decide to dress in a particular way doesn't mean everybody else has to do the same. The important thing is to be decent at all times.

What will Nigerians find surprising to know about you?

I am very soft-hearted and I cry easily. However, I believe in facing whatever is at hand squarely and doing a good job. Even if I will cry later, I could do that in my closet.

How do you like to dress?

I dress simply and comfortably.

I’m Not A Threat To Broda Shaggi’s Girlfriend –Aunty Shaggi Speaks

Posted: 06 Jan 2019 09:35 PM PST

Broda Shaggi and Aunty Shaggi

Many still believe that Samuel Perry, aka Broda Shaggi, and Sophie Ajireoghene, aka Aunty Shaggi, are more than just skit partners.

To add fuel to the raging fire, Broda Shaggi recently got Aunty Shaggi a car.

However, in a chat with Sunday Scoop, Aunty Shaggi maintained that she had a boyfriend. Speaking about her relationship, she said, "My boyfriend knows that what is between Broda Shaggi and me is work. Also, I don't think Broda Shaggi's girlfriend sees me as a threat too."

Aunty Shaggi also stated that the car gift came as a surprise to her too.  She said, "When the car was presented to me, it took me about 20 minutes to come to terms with it. I kept shouting that it was a lie. It was an amazing feeling and I felt overwhelmed. This is my first car."

Describing 2018 as her year of rebirth, she said, "Last year was great for me. I was accepted by Broda Shaggi, which gave me the needed exposure. I visited the United Kingdom and started my own initiative, A Date with the Counsellor.

As if all these were not enough testimonies, God crowned it all with the gift of a car from Samuel Perry."

Drake fondles teenager on stage and gets condemned for it

Drake fondles teenager on stage and gets condemned for it

Drake's feisty interaction with a female fan he brought on stage has inspired comparison to R Kelly recently accused of sleeping with underage Aaliyah.

Some reproachful remarks have met Drizzy's display who appears to be fondling a 17-year-old during his performance. In a video shown on social media, the rapper is captured dancing with the fan but stops to kiss and touch her boobs.

Only then did he realize that she was underage. This was eventually when he thought on asking her how old she is.

"Why do you look like that?," Drake is asking the teenager after making the finding.

He goes on tell the girl who is mute while he addresses her that he "had fun".

"I don't know whether I should feel guilty or not, but I had fun. I like the way your breasts feel against my chest. I just want to thank you," Drake rounds up the talk with more kisses on the lip and other parts of her head.

A group on Twitter have condemned Drake for being lacking remorse after discovering the identity of the girl.

"It's entirely disgusting that as a grown man, you find yourself gravitating towards a child," a Twitter profile notes in a post.

It looks like another slip for Drake since he got dragged by Kanye West for following his wife Kim on Instagram.

"I never knew till this morning that Drake followed my wife on Instagram back in September.

"When I went to far with Wiz Khalifa everybody stood up and I had to apologize cause it was too far.

"I had to bring this up because it's the most f--ked up thing of all and I just saw it this morning."Imagine having a problem with somebody and they follow your wife on Instagram," reads some deleted tweets posted by Ye.

Toke Makinwa stresses on why more fathers should perform their roles

Posted: 06 Jan 2019 09:20 PM PST

Toke Makinwa unhappy with fathers who neglect role in a family

Toke Makinwa

The OAP is unhappy over an incident involving assault to a woman she lends financial assistance to. She offers help to the victim who is forced to raise her child alone for lack of support from her partner identified as Bolaji.

Following a recent violence causing the woman to lose her valuables, Makinwa issues a warning to the partner threatening regrettable consequences if he is unable to render an apology within a given timeline.

"I am giving you 24 hours to contact her, buy back the phone you smashed in the process. How dare you threaten her? This one will be your last.

"You go to her, apologize to her and leave her the heck alone. If you are not going to support them, do not stand in her way," the radio presenter orders in a post she puts up on Instagram today.

About deadbeat dads, Wizkid became a popular example in September 2018

The pop star's babymama Binta Diallo accuses him of neglecting his fatherly role since a child custody agreement 7 months earlier.

On Monday, September 10, Diallo blames him for paying little attention to his kids.

"A deadbeat dad tells everyone he loves and misses his kids but makes no efforts to see them. He refuses to help support his children to better their lives.

"He doesn't put his kids on his priority list but he will for someone else's kids. So next time you hear how much he loves and misses his kids, ask when the last time that he saw them," the babymama shares on Instagram.

Funke Akindele's marriage to JJC Skillz ordained from heaven

Posted: 06 Jan 2019 09:10 PM PST

Close to three weeks since Funke Akindele gives birth to twins in the United States of America, her husband JJC Skillz shares a testimony suggesting that the meeting is a divine inspiration.

Funke Akindele and husband JJC Skillz

In an Instagram post, the video director confirms that the interest to get hitched to the actress came in the year 2012, when he had a dream that she was to be his partner.

At first she turns him away but she opts to give him a serious thought a year later. It is an experience the father of five recalls in a moment of reflection.

"I have to testify God is great I had a dream one night around Christmas 2012 that I will be married to @funkejenifaakindele and believing in the mighty God I trust I approached and she didn't believe me," JJC Skillz shares.

The key message he hopes to pass on involves paying attention to one's dream. His led him to a path of happiness as seen in his post.

On Friday, January 4, 2019, Funke Akindele debuts her newborn twins in a family picture including her husband's children from previous relationships.

A day after, an excited JJC Skillz displays the picture on his profile in a hearty post he captions "The Bellos".

While she is enjoying the experience of being a mother, Akindele gets distracted with a false report alleging that she endorsed a body enhancement product.

The actress made sure to exempt herself of any affiliation in an IG response she puts up on Saturday.

Bose Ogulu, Burna boy's mum has an energy that matches with his at Soundcity Awards

Posted: 06 Jan 2019 08:00 PM PST

Bose Ogulu

At the SoundCity MVP Awards festival held on Saturday, January 5, 2019, Burna Boy bags four awards on the evening but is out of Nigeria to receive them personally -- his mum represents him at the event with just the right type of energy.

Walking to the stage at the Eko Convention Center, Victoria Island, Lagos, to pick one of the trophies, the mum Bose Ogulu, is accompanied by three escorts who observe from behind her lively entrance.

"Thank you for enthroning talents tonight. Thank you Soundcity," Burna Boy's former manager begins in her speech.

"Burna is out of the country. He asked me to personally be here. I should be asleep by now but I am glad I came.

"Thank you the fans who have hung around through thick and thin.

"Thank you for 2018. 2019 -- expect more madness," she adds.

Not quite close to the inflammable energy that has become the signature of his art, Burna Boy makes a note to the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival asking for more regard.

On Wednesday, January , 2019, the annual Coachella, lists the singer in a poster revealing the musicians to perform at this year's event expected to hold for ten days in April. Mr. Eazi

The dancehall singer, fixed to perform between April 14 and 21, makes clear exactly what he is asking for in a post he puts up on IG.

"@coachella I really appreciate you. But I don't appreciate the way my name is written so small in your bill. I am an AFRICAN GIANT and will not be reduced to whatever that tiny writing means. Fix things quick please."

His request has not made him the favourite singer that everyone loves.

2019 PRESIDENCY: Fayose Discloses Why Aisha Buhari Should Not Campaign For Husband’s Re-election

Posted: 06 Jan 2019 03:19 PM PST

Mr. Ayodele Fayose

Mr. Ayodele Fayose, the immediate past governor of Ekiti State, has asked Wife of the President, Dr. Aisha Muhammadu Buhari, to liberate her husband from the hold of the cabal she told Nigerians was incapacitating him.

According to Fayose, Aisha needed to do that first before campaigning for the President's re-election.

The former Governor, who is the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Southwest cordinator of the Atiku/Obi campaign organization, added that before Nigerians would take Aisha seriously, she should explain what had happened to the cabal she said took over her husband's government and caused its failure.

Fayose, in a statement on Sunday, said Aisha Buhari would be insulting the sensibilities of Nigerians by asking them to re-elect the same man she asked them to help rescue from the cabal that hijacked his government after she said he was not in charge, Daily Post reports.

He asked, "Has President Buhari been rescued from the hands of the cabal that his wife said ran his government aground?"

Fayose's statement signed by his media aide, Lere Olayinka, read, "In October 2016, the First Lady told Nigerians the truth about the incapacitation of her husband and went on to say that should things continue till 2019 like they were in 2016, she won't go out and campaign for him and ask any woman to vote like she did before.

"In December last year, she reinforced this position by claiming that a cabal controlling her husband's government made it to fail. This is January 2019 and the question the First Lady must be asked is: what positive change has Buhari's government made on Nigeria and its people between 2016 and now?

"Is the First Lady going to be campaigning to Nigerians to subject themselves to another four years of the country under the same cabal that she had accused of running her husband's government aground?

"Most importantly, what will Aisha Buhari be telling those women whose husbands and children were killed by rampaging herdsmen? What will she tell the women whose husband are among the over 12 million Nigerians that lost their jobs in the last three years? What will be her message to the women who can no longer feed their children owing to over 300 percent increment in the price of food items?

"Rather than wasting public fund jumping up and down to seek the votes of Nigerians for a husband that is not in charge of his government, what the First Lady should do is to assist Buhari to pack his things in readiness for his exit from the Presidential Villa this year."

2019: Junaid Mohammed Gives Insight Into Buhari’s Relationship With Amina Zakari

Posted: 06 Jan 2019 03:02 PM PST

Mrs Amina Zakari
Junaid Mohammed, Second Republic lawmaker, and member of the 2014 National Conference, has reacted to the claim made by Amina Zakari, where she said that President Muhammadu Buhari was neither her uncle nor cousin.

Mohammed also lambasted the Presidency for "trying to distance President Muhammadu Buhari from Amina."

He insisted that Amina is a blood-relation of the President, and made an expository narrative into the relationship.

He told Vanguard that it was shameful for an aide of Buhari to try to distance Buhari from Amina Zakari.

He said, "For those who do not know, let it be known (and let me repeat it) that Buhari's sister, who was married to a prominent Emir in Kazaure, in the present Jigawa State, gave birth to Amina.

"It is doubtful if Buhari himself can say that Amina Zakari is not his niece. I can say, without any fear, that Buhari cannot deny his direct sibling."

Mohammed said that it was former President Goodluck Jonathan who nominated Amina, a pharmacist, as a National Commissioner to represent the North-West, with some inputs from the then Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, presidential candidate, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, at that time.

Explaining why Amina's position in INEC is currently generating controversy after she had been in the commission for more than eight years without any link to Buhari, Mohammed said that Amina should step aside at once.

He added, "In the political situation where we have found ourselves, whether she is a blood relation or not of the President, she has to step aside once there has been a widespread perception that she's related to Buhari.

"She became the most senior person in INEC but she read pharmacy and cannot be said to be the most suitable for the job.

"I warned INEC chiefs over Amina's position long ago and they decided not to do something about the dilemma they now have on their hands.

"It was a wrong appointment ab initio and she should quietly step aside because of her relationship with the President. Let her go because the job she is expected to do is far beyond her."

Presidency Allegedly Forced Amina Zakari On INEC – Fayose Reveals

Posted: 06 Jan 2019 02:54 PM PST

Mrs Amina Zakari
Mr. Peter Ayodele Fayose, the immediate past Governor of Ekiti State, on Saturday alleged that Mrs. Amina Zakari was forced on the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmood Yakubu as the Head of Presidential Election Collation Centre at a secret meeting, held at first lady's chambers, Aso Villa in Abuja.

Fayose who is the the Southwest Coordinator of Atiku/Obi 2019 Presidential campaign committee made the revelation while speaking with journalists during an interview at the Atiku/Obi Southwest Campaign summit held in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.

He said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and other political parties in Nigeria lacked confidence in the electoral umpire to conduct free, fair and credible elections, Daily Post reports.

Fayose while describing the appointment of Zakari as 'moral burden', said it was worrisome that the ruling party is forcing the cousin of the president on the electoral umpire to upturn the wish of Nigerians.

The former Governor said, "Now they realized they cannot trust the INEC chairman again, they now told him the only option left for us to believe you are with us, go and announce Aminat Zakari as the collation officer.

"The meeting took place at the first lady's chambers in the Villa. Don't ask me how I got to know about it, that is not your business. That was how the INEC chairman agreed to make sure he announced that lady's name as head of collation centre. I will give you other revelations later. I won't say everything today. So I am not surprised about what the Oyo state REC said that people are approaching them for purchase of PVCs.

"We have no confidence in INEC. This government of APC truly is an inconclusive government I have ever seen. You cannot see anything good in INEC overseeing by the current leadership of our country. What we saw in the last few days by the appointment of Aminat Zakari is a moral burden."

While citing many inconclusive elections in recent time as example for the failure of INEC, Fayose said, "We started in Kogi state, to Ondo, Edo, Ekiti and Osun. I want you to recall that we started with inconclusiveness.

"That was the pattern, and when the outcry was becoming embarrassing to them and for them, they took another style in Edo.

"It came like that to other states in the west, on and on like that. On thing I want to say to you, is that it is now a moral burden for a party and a president that came out of a consensus for a man, who was in position to make it impossible at the time".

South West Chairman of the party, Dr. Eddy Olafeso earlier in his remarks, said the summit was conveyed for the candidates of the party in the region to brainstorm on how to prevent the ruling party from carrying out their plans to rig the elections.

Olafeso while speaking accused the ruling APC of having no plan for campaign but rigging the elections.

Dino Melaye speaks out from police custody over booing of Buhari

Posted: 06 Jan 2019 02:22 PM PST

Senator Dino Melaye
Dino Melaye, the Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, has denied being part of the lawmakers that booed President Muhammadu Buhari, during the 2019 budget presentation before a joint session of the National Assembly on December 19, 2018.

Melaye claims he was absent at the House of Representatives chamber, venue of the budget presentation on that day.

Since the incident, there have been reports in the social media that the booing was led by the Kogi Senator.

But Melaye, in his first reaction to the social media reports, said in a statement by his media aide, Gideon Ayodele, on Saturday evening that those that kept calling his name on the incident lied against him, Daily Post reports.

"The attention of Senator Dino Melaye has been drawn to a malicious reference to his person on the social media as one of the lawmakers who booed President Muhammadu Buhari during his 2019 Budget presentation before a joint session of the National Assembly on Wednesday, December 19, 2018.

"Before now, he had refused to refute the mischievous social media fabrication for what it is – a cheap lie – Senator Dino Melaye was not in the National Assembly that day.

"For the avoidance of doubt, Distinguished Senator Dino Melaye was absent at the televised 2019 Budget Presentation session and hereby challenges anyone with contrary proof to come forward with such.

"By his nature, Distinguished Senator Dino Melaye is not one who speaks and cannot defend his action at the same time. Whatever he says or does, he stands by his actions no matter whose ox is gored," ‎he said.

Melaye's denial comes 24 hours after he surrendered himself to the police, following a one-week siege on his Maitama residence, over an alleged case of culpable homicide, an allegation he denied.

Reno Omokri Releases Full Audio Clip Of Amaechi ‘Insulting’ President Buhari as Ignoramus

Posted: 06 Jan 2019 02:09 PM PST

Rotimi Amaechi
Reno Omokri, former aide on new media to ex-presidential Goodluck Jonathan, has released a full audio recording of the Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, referring to President Muhammadu Buhari as an ignoramus who neither takes advice nor reads to acquire information.

Omokri promised to make the full audio release available on Sunday in a post on his Twitter page amid the controversies that trailed an earlier snippet he made public.

Recall that in the snippet, Amaechi was reportedly heard saying, "The President does not listen to anybody. Does he even read?"

But the Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Digital, New Media, Tolu Ogunlesi, has claimed the audio recording was from 2014 at the height of Amaechi's fight with Omokri's former principal, President Goodluck Jonathan.

In what appears as a counterattack against Ogunlesi's defence, Omokri released the full clip where Amaechi was put on record mentioning President Buhari's name.

He tweeted: "Yesterday, I set up the @NGRPresident. I knew if I released the full #AmaechiTapes, they'd say it was fake.

"Now that @ToluOgunlesi admitted it is actually Amaechi, but from 2014, here is the rest of Part 1 proving that @AsoRock lied."

Earlier, Omokri had also written on the micro-blogging site: "24 hours after I released the first BOMBSHELL of Rotimi
@ChibuikeAmaechi criticising @MBuhari as a man that does not even read or listen to advise, he has not denied the authenticity of the tape.

"Rotimi @ChibuikeAmaechi. I am waiting for you. One squeak from you and I release the Part 2. How can you know that President @MBuhari is a leader that does not LISTEN, does not READ, and has no CAPACITY, yet you are foisting him in Nigeria. All for the love of money and power!

"Part 2 is coming shortly."
