| Posted: 04 Feb 2019 08:35 AM PST  BSOS graduating seniors and alumni are invited to join the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences (BSOS) for their annual "100 Days until Graduation" event on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 4-6 PM for this pre-graduation traditional celebration in honor of our our graduating BSOS seniors. BSOS seniors, alumni and faculty/staff are invited to attend to help us congratulate our seniors on their upcoming achievements. There will be fun games, prizes, raffles and DJ! Food will be furnished by Mission BBQ and beer tastings will be provided by 7 Locks Brewing, which is Terp owed and operated (remember to bring ID if 21+). Take selfies with Testudo in our DIY photo booth and mix and mingle with our graduating seniors and alumni. Alumni: remember to bring plenty of business cards since this will be a great networking opportunity for alumni and students. This is a great event to kick-off your final Spring semester and your night; don't forget to head on over to the Xfinity Center to watch the Men's basketball team take on Purdue at 6:30 PM. | Director's Financial Analyst Position at the CFPB Posted: 04 Feb 2019 05:49 AM PST The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is recruiting this spring for the Director's Financial Analyst position, and we want to encourage graduating seniors to apply. ABOUT THE PROGRAM This unique, two-year rotational fellowship sits at the intersection of the federal government and the financial services industry. Director's Financial Analysts are given the opportunity to hone analytical and problem solving skills while helping to make markets for consumer financial products work for Americans. Members of the Director's Financial Analyst Program will experience diverse roles, responsibilities, and areas of expertise. As a result, in a short period of time, analysts will play an integral role in everything the Bureau does, from rigorous data-driven policy creation and market monitoring to on-site supervision of market participants. All analysts will complete developmental rotations in offices throughout the CFPB. These rotations are designed to provide exposure to the analysis, strategy, research, education, policy development, supervision, enforcement, and rulemaking activities throughout the Bureau. We are recruiting for positions that begin after the 2018-2019 academic year. Previous Director's Financial Analysts have used the program as a springboard to further their careers.
