Video of Khloe Kardashian's baby daddy, Tristan Thompson sneaking two women into a bedroom surfaces
Just a few days before Tristan Thompson was caught allegedly cheating on Khloé Kardashian with family friend Jordyn Woods, the basketball player has been accused of being unfaithful with two other women.

DailyMailTV reported Wednesday that Thompson was spotted sneaking two women into a bedroom late at night on Valentine's Day at a "singles' party."

After sending the mother of his 1-year-old daughter an elaborate floral bouquet earlier in the day, the Cleveland Cavaliers player, 27, allegedly was "all over" a pair of women whom he disappeared with into a bedroom.

A party goer who spoke exclusively to DailyMailTV, said the 6ft 9in Cleveland Cavalier was 'all over' the pair of beauties described as a Latina with brown hair and a Middle Eastern woman both in their early 20s before he vanished into a room with them for 35 minutes.

Osaze Odemwingie "70% of African footballers use Juju"

Posted: 22 Feb 2019 12:00 AM PST

Osaze Odemwingie
According to former Super Eagles' striker Osaze Odemwingie,  many Africa Players rely on Juju and he explained how he received treatment from a voodoo man year's back when he was injured while playing football.

The 37-year-old who presently plays in Indonesia revealed how he got injured in training before he was taken to a place for 'juju' treatment on his shoulder.

'I had a fall in training; I also hurt my shoulder and broke my arm. I was afraid to tell my mom so they took me to the local juju man.

"They poured hot water to relax their muscles. Somehow they returned the hand to the place, while I yelled, they twisted some small sticks.

There was a rite with a chicken. "I came home, my mother saw the hand: "Broke?" I answer: "Yes." I was taken to a regular hospital, anesthesia was done, and they put the plaster on.

Odemwingie who was known for his superb skills while playing for the Super Eagles added that most African players believe in juju treatment (voodoo) than going to see doctors when injured.

"At least 70% of players believe in it. They think that some kind of salve will save them. This is more suggestion. Brainwashing goes.

"But three years in Nigeria have been helpful to me. They called me to the Big League, and there my career developed much faster," he added.

Osaze last played for the Super Eagles at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Osaze Odemwingie was born in Russia but was brought to Nigeria by his parents before he started his professional football career at Bendel Insurance of Benin.

Vice President Osinbajo’s Convoy Attacked In Ilorin, Kwara

Posted: 21 Feb 2019 04:05 PM PST

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo

Suspected political thugs, said to have sympathies for the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Thursday allegedly attacked the convoy of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

The attack is said to have culminated in life-threatening gunshots, which left at least two supporters of the APC injured.

Many others allegedly got seriously injured while running for their lives.

However, a police source revealed the incident, which happened around Isale-Koko, Ilorin suburb, occurred when the Vice President's convoy had left the area.

When contacted, spokesperson of the state police command Ajayi Okasanmi could not confirm the incident, The Nation Newspaper reports.

Reacting on the development APC governorship candidate in the state Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq condemned "the brazen attack today in Ilorin on the convoy of the Vice President Prof Yemi Osinbajo by armed PDP thugs."

In a statement by his media aide, Rafiu Ajakaye, Abdulrazaq said: "The vice president was at Isale Aluko suburb of Ilorin on a door-to-door campaign when some dare-devil gunmen opened fire at his convoy which included thousands of APC members and supporters.

"In what is a reminiscence of the Offa robbery, this attack is the height of recklessness on the part of these street urchins who have long been empowered and armed by the discredited dynasty to terrorise our community and anyone who has contrary views to their amala politics.

"Coming just a day after two of our supporters were killed in Ojoku in the convoy of our senatorial candidate Architect Lola Ashiru, this is becoming too much and the madness must stop.

"Going into an election with these thugs clearly on the loose is an existential threat not just to all of us challenging the misrule in our state but to the entire people of the state and their properties.

"We call for immediate arrest and prosecution of these thugs. We also demand investigations to reveal those who gave the orders for these deadly attacks.

"We call for all measures to be taken to ensure safety of lives and properties and sanctity of the ballot box in Kwara and beyond.

"No one's political interest should be at the expense of human lives and their properties.

"We insist that a political contest is a contest of ideas and no one must be allowed to cow or kill others in the process."

JUST IN: Appeal Court Clears Zamfara APC To Contest 2019 Elections

Posted: 21 Feb 2019 12:25 PM PST

The Appeal Court of Abuja division, has set aside the judgment of the Federal High Court in Abuja, which affirmed the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) which barred the All Progressives Congress (APC) from fielding candidates in the general elections in Zamfara State.

Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu of the Federal High Court, Abuja, had in a judgment delivered on 25th January 2019, held that INEC was right to have delisted names of candidates APC presented for the elections, stating that the APC failed to conduct a valid primary within the period scheduled by the electoral body.

A 3- man panel of the appellate court, led by Justice Abdul Aboki, held that the trial court lacked the jurisdiction to have entertained the suit, that it was an abuse of court process.

He stressed that the suit at the federal high court was filed out of time, that the electoral act provides for 14 days to institute a suit after the cause of action had arisen, the suit was filed 15 days after, and therefore rendered the action incompetent.

This was contained in a Twitter tweet by the Television Continental.

2019 Polls: Rochas Okorocha Allegedly Using Hausa Men To Thumb-Print Ballot Papers In His House – Senator Izunaso

Posted: 21 Feb 2019 11:55 AM PST

 Governor Rochas Okorocha

The Imo State Governor,  Rochas Okorocha, has been accused of engaging young Hausa men for the thumb-printing of ballot papers ahead of Saturday's presidential and National Assembly elections.

This allegation came from Osita Izunaso, who is the senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA for Imo West senatorial district, the same district being contested by Governor Okorocha on the All Progressives Congress, APC, platform.

Izunaso made the allegation through his legal adviser, Prince Orji Nwafor-Orizu, yesterday at a press conference, in Owerri.

According to Nwafor-Orizu, his client, being a law abiding citizen, has decided to alert the general public on the alleged ongoing thumb-printing of ballot papers, at the Spibat Residence of Governor Okorocha, who is also the senatorial candidate of the APC in the election.

He said that the Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, of Imo State, the police and the Department of State Services (DSS) have all been notified of the incident, Daily Post reports.

He added, "We have evidence from one of the security guards, who is an Hausa man, who has been away since last Saturday, and later called to tell his boss, who is a member of our campaign team that they were at Spibat, where they have been paid to thumb-print ballot papers and that is still ongoing as we speak.

"We have already written to the security agencies and to Imo REC on this matter."

However, in a swift reaction, Okorocha described the allegation as frivolous.

He said Izunaso is not only a frustrated man, but one of the most unpopular and colourless politicians in the state.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sam Onwuemeodo, Okorocha said, "Rochas Okorocha won elections in 2011 and 2015, respectively, through the ballot papers. Osita Izunaso is one of the most unpopular and colourless politicians in the State.

"And he is not an attractive politician to any voter in the State. Governor Okorocha has campaigned in the 12 local governments of Orlu zone.

"Ditto, in all the zones and the state in general for President Muhammadu Buhari and other candidates of APC, but Izunaso has never campaigned anywhere."

$11 million tech investment puts Rwanda on the map

Posted: 21 Feb 2019 09:53 AM PST

Rwanda
Rwanda is fast becoming a tech destination in Africa, emerging as a key tech and investment hub with its ease of doing business.

In July 2018, Rwanda hosted the World Economic Forum on Africa in May, and work is reportedly well underway on the Kigali Innovation City, which will house innovation labs and provide training and funding for technology companies.
Recently, Nigeria's technology centre and co-working space, Co-Creation Hub or CcHUB as its popularly called, launched a design lab in Kigali, Rwanda.

The move makes Rwanda the first place CcHUB has put down roots outside Nigeria. The firm plans to bridge the gap between government and citizens and improve the technology delivery of public services.

"The design lab is about bringing design into the way public agencies and large corporations think about the implementation and use of technology to solve significant problems in the society," Bosun Tijani, the hub's Founder and Chief Executive, said.

They said they plan to invest $11 million (nearly Rwf10 billion).

The focus areas of the design lab will "become a leading creative space where its multidisciplinary team of product designers and engineers will collaborate with scientists and stakeholders globally, to explore the application of emerging technologies that will solve Africa's systemic problems in Public Health, Education, Governance and the Private Sector."

They have plans to innovate for education with an aim to use technology to widen STEM education, improve interest and learning outcomes and introduce smart applications in schools.

Unlike the popular hubs that can host anyone anytime, the design lab is a space exclusively for collaborations between designers and engineers together with scientists and stakeholders.

Already, the lab announced a partnership with Rwanda Biomedical Centre (RBC) as its first local partner.
Without revealing specific details on the nature of the partnership, officials said that they are keen on building digital solutions for public health.

"We will generally be spending more of our resources in adherence to treatment and focus on systems that can help us efficiently collect data," he noted.

"We are not here [in Rwanda] because we think there is a lot of money to make but because we believe there is something about this country that allows creativity and can inspire change across Africa," Bosun said.

On the other hand, Kampeta Sayinzoga, the Director General of National Industrial Research and Development Agency (NIRDA), highlighted that Rwanda had already started applying design thinking to promote the industry.

"The first mindset we need to create is to build the link between research and product development. Through the Ministry of Trade and Industry, we research ways to enable design thinking to revolutionalize the industrial space to create solutions," she said.

Global smartphone sales stalled in Q4 of 2018-Gartner

Posted: 21 Feb 2019 09:48 AM PST

Smartphone
Top Chinese mobile phone manufacturers grew their sales across emerging markets in the third of 2018 because of their low price smartphones and the smartphones having features improved camera features and high-quality resolution displays.

However according to research by Gartner, Inc, global sales of smartphones to end users stalled in the fourth quarter of 2018, totalling 408.4 million units — growth of just 0.1 per cent over the fourth quarter of 2017. Apple recorded its worst quarterly decline (11.8 per cent) since the first quarter of 2016.

"Demand for entry-level and midprice smartphones remained strong across markets, but demand for high-end smartphones continued to slow in the fourth quarter of 2018," said Anshul Gupta, senior research director at Gartner. "Slowing incremental innovation at the high end, coupled with price increases, deterred replacement decisions for high-end smartphones. This led to a flat-growth market in the fourth quarter of 2018

Apple Experienced Biggest Decline Among the Top Five Smartphone Vendors

Sales of Apple iPhones hit 64.5 million units in the fourth quarter of 2018, a decline of 11.8 per cent year over year. This double-digit decline made Apple experience the biggest decline in growth for the quarter among the top five global smartphone vendors. Apple saw iPhone demand weaken in most regions, except North America and mature Asia/Pacific. Apple's sales declined most in Greater China, where its market share dropped to 8.8 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2018 from 14.6 per cent in the corresponding quarter of 2017. For 2018 as a whole, iPhone sales were down 2.7 per cent, to just over 209 million units.

"Apple has to deal not only with buyers delaying upgrades as they wait for more innovative smartphones, but it also continues to face compelling high-price and midprice smartphone alternatives from Chinese vendors. Both these challenges limit Apple's unit sales growth prospects," added Mr Gupta.

At the high end, Samsung smartphones such as the Galaxy S9, S9+ and Note9 struggled to drive growth in the fourth quarter of 2018. In the midtier, Xiaomi and Huawei continued to grab more market share. As a result, Samsung's smartphone sales declined by 4.4 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2018. Samsung lost market share in Greater China, Western Europe and Latin America, which contributed greatly to an overall 8.2 per cent fall in its smartphone sales in 2018.

"Although Samsung is strengthening its smartphone offering at the midtier, it continues to face growing competition from Chinese brands that are expanding into more markets. It also faces difficulty bringing significant innovation to high-end smartphones," said Mr Gupta. "Samsung introduced new midtier-focused M series smartphones in the first quarter of 2019 to compete with aggressive Chinese manufacturers in emerging markets, and to expand into the online sales channel."

2018 — the Year of Huawei

In the fourth quarter of 2018 Huawei sold over 60 million smartphones and achieved the strongest growth of the quarter among the top five global smartphone vendors (37.6 per cent). Huawei grew throughout 2018, to close the gap with Apple. "Beyond its strongholds of China and Europe, Huawei continued to increase its investment in Asia/Pacific, Latin America and the Middle East, to drive further growth," said Mr Gupta. "Huawei also exploited growth opportunities through continued expansion of the Honor series in the second half of 2018, especially in emerging markets, which helped Huawei grow its market share to 13.0 per cent in 2018."

In 2018 as a whole, global sales of smartphones to end users grew 1.2 per cent year over year, to 1.6 billion units (see Table 2). North America, mature Asia/Pacific and Greater China recorded the worst declines of the year, at 6.8 per cent, 3.4 per cent and 3.0 per cent, respectively. "In mature markets, demand for smartphones largely relies on the appeal of flagship smartphones from the top three brands — Samsung, Apple and Huawei — and two of them recorded declines in 2018," added Mr Gupta.

Surfline partnership to provide free Wifi to public libreries in Ghana

Posted: 21 Feb 2019 09:37 AM PST

Wifi
Ghanaian operator Surfline Communications has partnered Ghana Library Authority (GhLA) to provide free Wifi connectivity to members of public libraries in the Greater Accra Region.

The Executive Director (Ag.) of Ghana Library Authority, Hayford Siaw, and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Surfline Communications Ltd, Rene Gameli-Kwame, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on behalf of their respective institutions.

With the partnership, Surfline will devise a model for user subscriptions on the network for library users and provide live video streaming on Facebook for key events during the Year of Reading Project campaign.

Surfline CEO Rene Gameli-Kwame commended the management of GhLA for such an initiative and pledged Surfline's preparedness to support and work toward the realisation of this vision and even go beyond the provision of internet connectivity.

The GhLA will publicise and project the partnership between the two institutions in the social and traditional media, as well as provide space for branding Surfline during key events within the year.

Siaw expressed delight that the partnership with Surfline would help the GhLA to be more connected.

He said it was refreshing to have libraries "where young people can come, pull out their laptops and get connected to the Internet through the WiFi."

Siaw said the vision of the GhLA was to ensure that every library in the country had internet connectivity, where registered members of public libraries could be connected via WiFi.

He noted that while there was Internet penetration in the country, there was still a significant gap in terms of access to connectivity, noting that the libraries could serve as a bridge.

He announced that the GhLA was working with the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communication (GIFEC) to stock all libraries in the country with computers, adding: "Given the application of distance learning in the country, every single Ghanaian should have access to a computer and the Internet."

Gameli-Kwame, commended the management of the GhLA for taking such an ambitious step to revamp the libraries and also provide Internet connectivity.

He said Mr Siaw's vision was encouraging and needed support and said his company was willing to partner the GhLA to ensure the realisation of the vision.

Gameli-Kwame said Surfline, as an indigenous broadband wireless service telecommunications company, "goes beyond just providing Internet connectivity."

He said Surfline was more than willing to go beyond just providing Internet connectivity because "we have a team of engineers who understand how automation works, how hosting works and we are more than happy to render these services to the GhLA to help you achieve your objective."

Buhari vs Atiku: Bishop Oyedepo Rains Curses, Reveals What Will Happen(Video)

Posted: 21 Feb 2019 07:33 AM PST

Bishop David Oyedepo
Bishop David Oyedepo, founder and General Overseer of Living Faith Church Worldwide, aka Winners' Chapel, has broken silence on the postponed presidential election in Nigeria.

Oyedepo, while delivering a sermon, rained curses on those causing crisis and killing Nigerians ahead of the 2019 presidential election.

He pronounced 'tribulation' on those responsible for dragging Nigeria backward.

The Bishop, while decrying the state of the nation, said 'Nigeria is gone' and only surviving on prayers from the Church of Christ.

Lamenting about the postponed election, Oyedepo said: "How long do we keep going on and off, forward and backward in this country. Ordinary election we cannot manage in Nigeria.

"A country you take one step forward and 20 steps backward, a country where they kill people for sacrifice so they can win the election.

"Minus the Church of Christ praying Nigeria is gone, therefore any gang up against the settlement of Nigeria is destroyed.

"Anyone that would not let Nigeria go forward will go down for Nigeria, any agent of the devil to bring Nigeria under siege is broken.

"Nigeria is long overdue for settlement, On this day, I declare Nigeria must be supernaturally settled. You can't tell how many people traveled to go and vote, how many had accidents due to this mistake.

"Is Nigeria not long overdue for settlement, may God recompense tribulation for those that trouble Nigerians.

"All the troublers of this nation, I evoke tribulation on your life, all those that would not let this nation go forward shall go down for this nation

"But by all means, God will give peace to Nigeria, by whatever means let this nation not see war.

"Lord, let your vengeance answer for the rescue of our nation today. Amen."

The Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) yesterday said two of its members were shot dead by suspected Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) thugs during a senatorial campaign tour at Ojoku in Oyun Local Government Area.

Oyun is the home town of Senator Rafiu Ibrahim, who is also the PDP senatorial candidate for Kwara South in this Saturday's National Assembly election.

The attackers were also said to have injured eight APC members and vandalised 20 vehicles belonging to APC Kwara South senatorial candidate, Lola Ashiru, during his campaign tour of Ojoku on Tuesday evening.

But the PDP claimed that the APC thugs first attacked its members where six persons sustained bullet wounds.

Addressing reporters in Ilorin, the state capital, APC Chairman Lola Ashiru said: "On Tuesday, February 19, the APC senatorial candidate for Kwara South, Lola Ashiru, took his electioneering campaign to Ojoku Ward. In line with tradition, he and his team paid a courtesy visit to the Olojoku of Ojoku in his palace.

"After the courtesy visit to the kabiyesi, the team came out of the palace to proceed to the venue of the rally. They had barely come out of the palace when they were ambushed by PDP thugs who, apparently, had been lurking around the palace. The attackers, who were armed with various weapons, started shooting at the APC members and supporters who accompanied our candidate to the palace.

"The policemen, who accompanied our candidate's campaign train, tried to repel the attackers but they were massively overwhelmed. Ashiru was quickly taken away from the place and he remained in hiding for over two hours before police reinforcement came to rescue him.

"From all indications, this is a pre-meditated attack, and it is clear that the attackers came not just to disrupt the campaign but to assassinate our candidate. While we mourn our members who died and pray for the quick recovery for the injured, we thank God for saving the life of our candidate who, as I said, was the obvious target of the thugs.

"We were reliably informed that the attack was allegedly coordinated by the PDP candidate for the Kwara South Senatorial District, Senator Rafiu Ibrahim, who hails from the same place (Ojoku) where our members and supporters were attacked.

"We are using this occasion to call on security agencies to immediately arrest all the perpetrators of the violence at Ojoku and bring them to justice. In particular, we demand the immediate arrest and prosecution of the alleged coordinator of the violence, Senator Rafiu Ibrahim.

"We are also reiterating our earlier call on the security agencies to immediately arrest all known thugs and other criminals across our state so that they will not disrupt Saturday's elections and the subsequent ones. We need to rid Kwara of all thugs and hoodlums in order to encourage the good people of the state to come our in large numbers to exercise their franchise on Saturday, and also to provide a level playing field for all the parties.

"In the meantime, we appeal to all our members and supporters across the state to remain calm, in spite of the provocation from the desperate PDP. The best revenge against the PDP is for all our teeming members and supporters to punish the party at the polls on Saturday."

The Lola Ashiru Campaign Organisation said the attack "on our campaign entourage ranks among the worst form of political terrorism in this part of the senatorial district".

Its Director General, Femi Whyte, addressed reporters in Offa town, Offa Local Government Area.

Whyte identified one of the dead as Samson Adeosun, who he said died at the General Hospital in Offa.

He said: "Three persons reported to be missing have been found but not in stable condition, probably due to the psychological effect of the attack.

"The Olojoku of Ojoku expressed great shock and felt so bad that such a crazy action happened in his territory and that his subjects could lay siege to a prominent personality without regard to his stool and authority.

PDP State Chairman Kola Shittu condemned the attack on the party's members.

He said suspected APC thugs on the campaign train of Ashiru shot eight PDP members during the attack.

The party chairman said the victims were receiving treatment at the Offa General Hospital and other private hospitals.

In a statement, Shittu condemned the violent attack on its members and asked security agencies to arrest and prosecute the perpetrators and their sponsors.

Shittu described the attack as unfortunate, ill-conceived and barbaric, adding that it again revealed the violent disposition of the opposition.

He said: "This latest brazen attack on our members and supporters in Ojoku has yet again further showcased the violent disposition of the APC, which we have always alerted Kwarans and security agencies to…"

Also, the APC has petitioned security agencies over the gruesome attack on the party's senatorial candidate for Kwara South, Lola Ashiru, by the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Rafiu Ibrahim.

In a statement yesterday in Abuja, the nation's capital, by its National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, APC said the deadly attacks occurred in Ojoku town in Kwara South Senatorial District.

It said eight people were badly injured while two others were shot dead.

The statement added: "The palace of the Olojoku of Ojoku, HRH Oba Abdulganiy Adegboyega Afolabi, was not spared in the attacks: the royal father was also stoned, according to credible and verifiable independent accounts.

"We have reproduced below a transcript of a victim's account of the attacks: 'Ojoku has been turned into a killing field with many residents fleeing to neighbouring communities for their safety. Eight people were shot; two others died. The Army rescued us and we are at Offa General Hospital.

"'Olojoku palace was terribly attacked, our kabiyesi was stoned. I can tell you that Ashiru and I escaped death by a whisker. It was a terrible experience. May Allah forgive the souls of the two who fell by their gunshots.

"'Senator Rafiu Ibrahim was sighted running away from a hotel in the community moments after the attacks.

"'I can confirm to you that he (Senator Ibrahim) masterminded this attack because I was there when Olojoku called him. His first statement was that it was APC fighting against APC. Olojoku cursed him in our presence and said he would never get to that position again.'

"The APC hereby calls on security agencies to fish out and arrest Senator Rafiu Ibrahim Adebayo, who we learnt has since gone into hiding. Such murderous crimes cannot be swept under the carpet in the name of politics. The senator and his accomplices must face the law for their heinous crimes…"

Finally, Yobe council chairmen handover after The Nation report

Posted: 21 Feb 2019 06:25 AM PST

All of the 17 local government chairmen in Yobe state have finally handed over to the Directors of Personnel Management (DPMs) less than 24 hours after The Nation published their dilly-dallying on the directive of Governor Ibrahim Gaidam.

The governor had directed the chairman on February 15th to hand over to the DPMs but only four of them compiled with the order as at Wednesday.

Most of them were reportedly reluctant based on the belief that the governor could convert the handover order to appointing them as caretaker chairmen.

But a source from the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs confirmed to our correspondent in Damaturu on Thursday that all the chairmen have submitted their hand-over notes to the ministry.

Some of the DPMs have also confirmed that they have taken over the affairs of the Local Government as directed by the Gaidam.

Investigation revealed the governor was furious after receiving news of non-compliance of the local Government chairmen.

He was said to have ordered the Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs to ensure the chairmen complied on Wednesday.

One of the DPMs called last night to inform he was handed over the affairs of the Local Government by his former chairman at about 6.00pm on Wednesday.

The Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Dawa Maigari also confirmed all the local government chairmen have handed over since Wednesday.

He denied the chairmen refused to handover, saying: "It is not true that they refused to hand over as your report stated.

"Even His Excellency called me after he read your report but I told him that they have handed over".
