Cossy Orjiakor replies Tonto Dikeh for preaching to her about her Twerk Video

Posted: 31 Mar 2019 12:30 AM PDT

Tonto Dikeh
Nollywood actress, Cossy Ojiakor decided to tease her fans with a rather raunchy post on her page which she captioned,

Hahahha am proud of my flaws …. I am #ageless … #timeless am just a little girl trying to have fun…. I may be 50 sometime … seventy something but in my heart am just 20 something ….#bootyclap on point….pls love me just this way

Upon seeing her post, mother of one and born again Christian, Tonto Dikeh decided to let her know that she sees Cossy doing the work of God and winning souls for Him.

According to Tonto, she says that though she's seen that Cossy still has a long way ahead, she's sure that the latter will souls for God.

Tonto wrote,

Dunno why I always see you winning souls for God, it may seem like a very long way ahead but Cossy I believe so much in God and in you!! YOU WILL SAVE SOULS AND I WILL REMEMBER THIS DAY AND SMILE COS I HAVE SEEN IT!! Love you and I am soooo proud of you now and will be when GOD USES YOU!!

Seems Cossy wasn't buying the whole preaching thingy and so in response, she clears Tonto by telling her that she too is born again and she should channel her preaching to her she-male friend and of course, we sure know who Cossy was referring to.

See their exchange below,

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Alex has called out her very good friend, Tobi Bakre, for not standing up for her and defending her when people said bad things about her.

According to Alex, when they got back from the house, she got a lot of bashing from people, saying Tobi was the one taking care of her because he's from a rich family.

Alex says she expected him to publicly put something out on social media to let people know that was false.

Asked about their relationship currently, she says Tobi and herself are still friends, they fight sometimes and that she doesn't let him come into her house. But they're cool and they're friends.

Daddy Freeze reacts after gay pastor infected underage boys with HIV

Posted: 30 Mar 2019 10:00 PM PDT

Daddy Freeze
Controversial founder, Free Nation movement, Daddy Freeze reacted to the story of an HIV positive gay pastor in Lagos, who has since infected over 15 boys with the virus

The pastor, Chizemdere Ezuma, who is the founder of Jesus Intervention Household Ministry, Ejigbo, Lagos, was arrested for allegedly sodomising the underage boys.

According to The Nation, Chizemdere Ezuma was arrested at his residence after an informant notified the police he had resurfaced, three months after he was declared wanted.

It was gathered that the suspect climbed his ceiling where he hid for over two hours to evade arrest when detectives stormed his home few days ago.

The suspect was declared wanted after an alleged male prostitute, Prince Chinecherem, was arrested and charged to court after a 16-year-old victim, Anthony Ikem, made revelations that implicated them.

In his confessional statement to the police, Ezuma claimed he usually paid the boys N2,000 for sex. Investigation showed that he brought about 15 boys into his apartment where he forcefully penetrated them all through the anus.

"The reverend confirmed he is HIV+ and has been receiving treatment for over three years. So, he knew he was HIV positive and still infected his victims and clients with it," said a source.

Taking to his Instagram page, Daddy Freeze reacted with a stylish dig at pastors.

He wrote;

They will still say Daddy Freeze is not letting them practice their religion.🙄

Wike, Awara Brush At Stakeholders’ Meeting In Port Harcourt

Posted: 30 Mar 2019 03:05 PM PDT

Mr. Nyesom Wike, the Rivers State Governor
Mr. Nyesom Wike, the Rivers State Governor, and the state's governorship candidate of African Action Congress (AAC), Biokpomabo Awara  Saturday had a serious brush at the Independent National Electoal Commission, INEC's  stakeholders' meeting in Port Harcourt.

Awara, who is an  indigene of Kula-Kalabari in Akuku-Toru Local Government Area of Rivers, accused Wike and INEC of doctoring results of the 'bloody' governorship and House of Assembly elections of March 9 in the state.

Wike, however, accused Awara, other members of AAC and their backers in the main opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) of promoting violence and scaring investors from Rivers.

The Chairman of INEC, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, who was represented by the National Commissioner of the commission in charge of Rivers, Bayelsa and Edo States, Barr. May Agbamuche-Mbu, a lawyer, who also chaired the stakeholders' meeting, urged Rivers residents to allow peace to reign in the state before, during and after the activities outlined for the conclusion of the controversial elections, The Nation reports.

Also in attendance at Saturday's meeting, which took place at Omni Event Centre, Eastern By-pass, Ogbunabali, Port Harcourt, ahead of April 2 resumption of collation of results of March 9 governorship and House of Assembly elections, was the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 6 Division, Nigerian Army, Port Harcourt, Maj.-Gen. Jamil Sarham, who was represented by the Garrison Commander of 6 Division Garrison, Brig.-Gen. Adeola Kalejaiye.

Others included Rivers Commissioner of Police, Usman Belel, who is also the Chairman of the Interagency Consultative Committee on Election Security, ICCES, (in Rivers state); and INEC's Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), in Rivers, Mr. Obo Effanga, who was represented by the Administrative Secretary in the state, Elder Etim Umoh.

Rivers Chairman of the PDP, Chief Felix Obuah; Ledum Mitee of Initiative for Credible Elections (ICE), who is a former President of the Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP); representatives of the Navy, Air Force, Department of State Services (DSS), Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), Customs, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), as well as top politicians and other eminent personalities were also in attendance.

Awara said: "Surprised that the leaders of political parties involved in the elections were not asked questions by members of INEC's five-man fact-finding committee. I doubt the reliability of the doctored result sheets and other electoral materials with INEC in the last three weeks. We have record of some of the results being mutilated, particularly that of Akuku-Toru LGA.

"REC of INEC in Rivers State has refused to give reasons for charging the four compromised electoral officers of the commission, who lack integrity for being card-carrying members of PDP.

"If the violence made the March 9 elections not to be credible, according to INEC, where did the commission get results for the seventeen LGAs, of Rivers 23 LGAs in the INEC's possession? At what point did the elections become violence-free, for the commission to now have results for 17 LGAs? Why has INEC refused to release the results of the 17 LGAs it claimed to have and the remaining six LGAs it wants to do supplementary election?"

Rivers governor, however, accused the AAC's governorship candidate, members of his party and his backers in APC of being economical with the truth.

Wike said: "I do not agree that Rivers is a violent state. Rivers State has never and it will not be a violent State.  Why are they raising too much alarm? What causes violence? Why is there violence each time there is election? The only way to have peaceful elections is when the security agencies refuse to interfere or manipulate any process.

"How did people die? When INEC would go and collate results and people would resist and when people resist, they will shoot them. Rivers is not a violent state. It is most unfortunate that people would leave their state, come to another state, instead of them to make sure what obtains in their state obtains here, they do not want it, they want to cause problems for us.

"With all due respect, the Garrison Commander (Brig.-Gen. Adeola Kalejaiye) is here. Throughout my political career, of not less than thirty years, I have never experienced the type of roles the army played. We must tell people the simply truth.

"INEC set up a committee in 2016, during and after the reruns, where it was stated in your report that certain police officer manhandled your electoral official. He even went as far as naming the police officer. What has happened, as INEC? You could have said you did not want that kind of officer again. The same officer was also implicated in your report in these elections. Who are the people causing the violence?

"Rivers State in not violent when they are drilling crude oil. Why must the violence be during the period of elections? Who are those responsible, in order to tell them? INEC can insist on not requiring the services of the violent security personnel; that is the only way we can have peaceful, free and fair elections in Rivers State. Let the army personnel remove their hands from elections. It is unfortunate that we had some people demonstrating and thanking the Nigerian Army for a job well done. That is Nigeria for us.

"Who are the security personnel that will be in charge of the collation (between April 2 and 5)? Let us avoid sermon. You do not preach to me what you will not practise. The onus is on the security agencies to help INEC to do the right things, in order to achieve the results the commission wants to achieve. Rivers State is a peaceful state. Nobody should be driving away investors from us. Let personnel of Nigerian Army remove their hands from electoral process."

INEC chairman, at the "most-important stakeholders' meeting," stated that the elections were suspended on March 10, due to the high-level of violence that occurred during the March 9, 2019 polls in Rivers.

Yakubu said: "I want to use this opportunity to appeal to the good people of Rivers State, our traditional rulers, market women, youths, leaders and members of political parties in the state, including the candidates in the elections and all other stakeholders to allow peace to reign in the state before, during and after the activities outlined for the conclusion of the elections by the commission.

"We do not have any other state, apart from Rivers State, to call our own. Let us join hands together to make Rivers State even greater. On the part of the commission, I wish to assure you of our commitment to free, fair and credible elections. We intend to keep these promises. May God, in His kindness, grant Rivers State perpetual peace.

"The results of the March 9 elections in Rivers State are with us (INEC) in our strong room and they have not been tampered with.

"A five-man fact-finding committee was therefore set up to ascertain the nature and verify the report of obstructive and lawless activities that generally attended the elections at the state collation centre, other collation centres and polling areas, occasioning the suspension. I was a member of the fact-finding committee. So, I know what I am talking about.

"The main objective of this meeting is to brief you on the schedule of activities and timeline, set by the commission for the conclusion of the governorship and state House of Assembly elections, and to solicit for your maximum cooperation towards the success of this exercise. It is also to generate discussions among the stakeholders, with a view to achieving transparent, peaceful and violence-free conclusion of the elections, within the timeline set by the commission."

Rivers police commissioner also stated that the past few weeks in Rivers state, before, during and after the general elections had been very difficult and trying moment for everyone, stressing that all stakeholders had maintained decorum, outstanding maturity and dedication to peaceful resolution of conflicts in Rivers.

Belel said: "As it is usual in every contest, winners and losers must emerge, but the maturity with which the contest's results is accepted, determines how peaceful the society can be. I wish to appeal to all stakeholders to give peace a chance (in Rivers State) and be magnanimous, either in victory or in defeat, as there will still be Rivers State beyond these elections.

"It is my humble appeal that contestants and parties' faithful should prevail on their supporters to do away with thuggery and violence. The Rivers State Police Command is determined to provide security for all residents and stakeholders in Rivers State for them to exercise their fundamental rights.

"As the lead agency and the  Chairman of the Interagency Consultative Committee on Election Security, ICCES, (in Rivers State), I want to use this opportunity to thank all stakeholders for the synergy and oneness of purpose that has kept this state together this long. I hereby encourage all of you to do the needful, in furtherance of our interagency cooperation."

Rivers REC of INEC, in his welcome remarks, reiterated that On March 9, the governorship and House of Assembly elections were held in Rivers, but due to unexpected developments, especially security, the collation could not be concluded, maintaining that till now, INEC did not know the winners of the elections.

Effanga said: "In order to ensure credible process, INEC has sent seasoned electoral officers, led by the National Commissioner in charge of Rivers, Bayelsa and Edo States, Barr. May Agbamuche-Mbu, who is the chairman of this occasion. Political parties that participated in the March 9 elections should submit the names of their agent. We are not conducting fresh elections. The status quo as at March 9 remains.

"We have the results for these seventeen LGAs: Ahoada East, Akuku-Toru, Andoni, Bonny, Eleme, Emohua, Etche, Ikwerre, Obio/Akpor, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni, Ogu/Bolo, Okrika, Omuma, Opobo/Nkoro, Oyigbo, Port Harcourt and Tai. Their (17 LGAs) collation was at the local government level. Collation was not completed in the remaining six LGAs: Abua/Odual, Ahoada West, Asari-Toru, Degema, Gokana and Khana.

"In Abua/Odual LGA, the materials and men did not even go out to the field. They were frustrated from going out and elections did not take place there. In Gokana LGA, materials and men went out to the field, but none came back, because there was outright violence and everything was destroyed. So, we do not have any result from there. In Ahoada West LGA, out of about 100 polling units, we have results in only 24 and that is not good enough. Asari-Toru LGA was not concluded, but we have the polling units' results available, but they were not collated. Degema LGA has 17 registration areas, which we call wards in INEC's context, and collation took place in ten, remaining seven. The seven wards, their results are in INEC's strong room. In Khana LGA, there was no collation at the local government level, but we have results from the polling units and the collation from some wards available.

"INEC, in its mandate to conduct free, fair and credible elections in Rivers State, decided to come with a timetable (timeline) to let the people know how to ensure the collation and to know the winners."

INEC's REC in Rivers also stated that the stakeholders' forum was not strange, but to carry everybody along and to know what INEC was doing.

Effanga noted that before the suspension order came from Abuja on March 10, collation had commenced, with INEC now resuming the collation.

REC of INEC in Rivers disclosed that the collation, scheduled for between April 2 and 5, would hold at the INEC's office on Aba Road, Port Harcourt.

Singer Kcee: I almost Quit music out of frustration, began selling furniture at Ikeja

Posted: 30 Mar 2019 12:52 PM PDT

Singer Kcee
Nigerian singer, Kcee has opened up on how he almost quit the music industry because of the frustration that he experienced.

It will be recalled that during the week, there was a viral video showing a popular Nigerian singer, Waje, lamenting how tough and expensive it was to do music in the country. In the video, the distraught singer stated that she was likely to quit music as it was not paying her well enough.

Interestingly, it seems the singer is not the only one that has passed through this phase as Limpopo singer, Kcee, admitted that at a point, despite making hit songs, he quit music to sell furniture at Ikeja.

Talking with Saturday Punch, he said,

"I saw Waje's video and I was touched. I was supposed to say something about it but I was busy with my album project.

However, I spoke to a few people about it. The truth is that the industry is a fake one; I am not just talking about the Nigerian music industry, but globally. Everybody is struggling. I have been in this business for 19 years and at every point in time, you have A-list artistes and they are about ten.

"These set of people are the ones making all the money. There are hundreds of artistes behind them struggling to get to make it to the top ten list. These other artistes keep spending the same amount of money (the A-list artistes spend) to just get there and they also have to live like a celebrity. This costs a lot of money. If you do not have the drive and focus to keep the fire burning, it is going to weigh you down.

"When I was with Presh, I was also discouraged and I went into business because I was frustrated. I started importing furniture and I had a showroom at Allen Avenue, Ikeja. It got to a point when I had to tell myself that I love music and I needed to go back. I promised myself that I would make sure I get it right the second time. At that point, I had hit songs already and I made a lot of money from the industry but everything was finished because new people would always come into the industry.

"That was what gave birth to the Limpopo era. It was determination; it was me being focused plus I had the grace of God. The message here is, what Waje said is not happening to her alone but to a lot of artistes. She was able to speak out. You need to listen to other people. Her situation might be better than a lot of them. The average video I shoot costs about N4m. I can travel anywhere to shoot my video; I do not want to talk about the cost of hotel and other logistics. I have been able to promote some artistes under my label and I know how much I invested in them. I know how much I shot their videos. That is why sometimes I look at the up-and-coming artistes and tell them to appreciate their labels. It takes a lot.

"The talent is five per cent, you need 95 per cent to polish your talent and put it out there. People bring in their money and invest in some of these talents but when they enjoy the limelight, they get to see themselves as God and they begin to insult those that invested their money in them. Those set of artistes have discouraged a lot of labels from investing in other artistes; if not, someone like Waje would not be crying because she is a 'sure market' and any label can invest (in her). Some of those artistes have discouraged a lot of labels like us so we do not feel safe to invest in them.

"When you invest in 80 per cent of them, once they enjoy the limelight a little, they begin to feel you are using them or taking their money. They do not know how much you paid to promote the music or shoot their videos. There is a lot involved. My message is that always be in control, you can get out of any situation as long as you are alive and have the talent. You just have to believe. It has happened to me several times. I do not care what anyone says about me. If I care about what people said, I would have quit music since. I have a lot of things I can do and I would never be hungry but I love music and I have been relevant for 19 years."

He added that with his contribution to the Nigerian music industry, he ought to be called a living legend.

"Of course I am a living legend if you do not call me that, I would call myself that. I know how the journey has been; it has not been easy. It has been so tough, it has always been up and down but I have been able to move from one generation to another and I have also contributed my quota as an artiste in the industry, so I stand as a legend right now. For me to be in the business for close to two decades is not a joke," the singer said.

Already, he has put finishing touches to his third studio album, Eastern Conference, and he was excited to talk about it.

"At every point in time, I try to re-invent myself and now I am trying to do something new from my angle, which is taking my music back to the roots and that is what my album, Eastern Conference, is about. I want to do more highlife music and see how we can make the sound global because it is a sweet and unique sound.

"I feel it is high time someone took charge to own the movement and take it global just the way we accepted makossa and reggae music. I want to use my years of experience in the industry and create a new movement for the upcoming artistes to see the need for us to promote our culture. It is original and those are the kinds of things people abroad want to see and that is my new direction right now," he said.

See Harrysong's reactions to claims he is trying to seduce women with his workout videos

Posted: 30 Mar 2019 12:47 PM PDT

Harrysong
Harrison Tare Okiri, popularly known as Harrysong, is known for his melodious songs and vibrant dance moves in his music videos. He is fond of sharing short videos of himself dancing and working out on his social media page.

Some of his fans have alleged that he uses these videos to seduce his female followers.

In a recent interview with Saturday Beats, the Reggae Blues singer noted that dancing and being happy is part of his lifestyle. He said he never had the intention to seduce any of his female fans.

Why would I want to seduce women? If they are seduced by that, it's their business, I am just exercising and living my life. I am just a happy guy," he told Saturday Beats.

The songwriter and instrumentalist shocked some of his fans when he released his latest song. The video portrayed him as a loving husband and father. Asked if it was a hint that he would soon get married, he noted that it was a conscious move to spice things up for his fans.

"My new song is a conscious move to rebrand myself; we are just trying to spice things up for the fans. It is not about whether I want to take the next big step as regards marriage; I will let the world know (when it is time). It is just a concept to talk about life, family, belief, hustle, and faith. Those are the kinds of songs I started with before I produced songs like Reggae Blues that put me in the limelight. I have always been versatile," he said.

Last year, Harrysong came out to talk about his battle with depression. Asked how he was able to overcome the thought, he said he didn't want to talk about it. He further explained the reason why he always shared pictures of himself dressed for church service.

"I don't want to talk about depression anymore, It is in the past now. I try to create new things now and stay relevant. It is a great challenge but it is also inspiring.

"I know I am a public figure with a large following, it is my life, and I am a Christian and a musician. So when I share pictures of me going to church, it is just meant to inspire my fans," he said.

So my mum said she wanted to go there because of her younger sister(My aunt) in the United States who is a cancer patient, wheelchair bound and is bedridden...So due to Mum's age, I didn't want her making that long journey so I requested for my aunt's pictures and promised her that I would visit the church so I can stand in for her as a point of contact," she said.

Oge Okoye said she still can't fathom how people would fabricate false stories about her visit to the church in South Africa. She also said that was disappointed in the people spreading the gist around that she was paid to visit the church.

"That was how I visited AMI on Sunday 14th of October 2018, Last year. Go on Youtube and see. So please is anything wrong in seeking the face of God or standing in the gap for my sick aunty? I really don't understand people and how they fabricate stories. Meanwhile how much do Nigerians think I will be paid to do the unimaginable? Whoever said that...May God visit their home with the same bitter pill to swallow IJN. AMEN," she concluded.

Oge Okoye's response is coming barely 24 hours after a video of her receiving a prophecy from the controversial South African pastor, Alpha Lukau went viral.

Posted: 30 Mar 2019 02:00 AM PDT

Yemi Osinbajo
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has said that President Muhammadu Buhari has never claimed to be an orator as he prefers to get things done.

Osinbajo said this while representing the President at the 11th Bola Tinubu Colloquium at the International Conference Centre on Thursday in Abuja.

"The president never claimed to be an orator. We all know he is not an orator. He is interested in getting things done," he said.

Osinbajo described Tinubu as an astute politician whose political achievements only very few Nigerians can boast of.

The event, which was tagged "Next Level", is a yearly programme to commemorate the birthday of the APC leader and former Governor of Lagos State.

Tinubu, while addressing the gathering joked that the Vice President is "Talented but evasive".

He commended the current administration efforts and called on Nigerians to cooperate with the government in moving the country to the next level.

Tinubu said that the phrase "Next-Level" is not just a political slogan but a call to action for change and development of Nigeria.

The event was graced by dignitaries from all spheres of the life including members of the federal executive council and the National Assembly, Royal Fathers, Governors and members of the public.

Tboss slams Nigerian critics on ThinTallTony as a Taxi Driver
Big brother Naija 2017 housemate, TBoss, has taken to Instagram to shut down those who 'mocked' her colleague, ThinTallTony, for being a taxi driver.

It appears the Nigerian economy has been unfriendly with reality star, Thin Tall Tony of the BBNaija fame as he has ventured into the humble transportation business.

A social media user named Simisola who is based in Lagos state ordered for the services on an Uber Taxi only to discover that the driver was a participant of the Big Brother Naija 2017 edition – Thin Tall Tony also referred to as Anthony.

"I ordered for a ride and guess who I saw as the driver ex BBNaija housemate Thintalltoney, I don't even want to believe this until he arrives," she said.

Well, the driver ended up being Anthony as expected and he even took pictures with her and her colleague.

The gist went viral on social media thereby generating mixed reactions. Fortunately for Anthony, several Nigerians have supported him for being bold enough to humble himself and earn a honest living.

Anthony who is married with three kids has also been supported by his Big Brother family member, Tokunbo Idowu aka Tboss.

TBoss has now revealed that TTT is an ambassador to the taxi company, and that there's a beautiful story behind it.

She also wants people to stop comparing the 2017 BBNaija housemates to the 2018 housemates.
