Internship for Recent Graduates - Civic Advisors

Position Title: Intern, Civic Advisors Location: Washington, DC Internship Period: September 2019 – December 2019

Civic Advisors is a social impact agency made up of a team and network of Obama-Biden White House and campaign alumni. Civic Advisors works with mission driven companies, non-profits, education institutions, philanthropic organizations, and sports and entertainment leaders across the United States. Interns at Civic Advisors provide essential support to staff members and are integral members of the team.

Position Description: Interns will support Civic Advisors staff members by performing a variety of administrative duties. Projects range from assisting Network members with research, proposal writing, or campaign creation as they complete work for clients, to supporting the digital and communication efforts of Civic Advisors or its clients by managing social media accounts and tracking content.

Interns work hand-in-hand with the Civic Advisors team to provide support as the business strengthens and grows. This requires strong writing skills for drafting and editing content for reports, a positive personality to support relationship management efforts, strong attention to detail for managing spreadsheets and data, and the ability to multitask.

Interns are also responsible for monitoring news and policy updates and using this information to improve Civic Advisors and its clients' strategies.

Qualifications:

Experience collaborating across an organization and with external partners to develop and implement successful, mission-focused content.
Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
Ability to take initiative constructively and professionally.
An open-minded approach to operating within a dynamic organization.
Ability to work with diverse communities and individuals with varying perspectives.

Details: This is a four-month (semester-long) internship experience. The position is full-time, compensated, and based in Washington, DC.
