Regina Daniels, wife to Billionaire Ned Nwoko parties with ex-boyfriend, Somadina
As Regina Daniels prepares to spend the rest of her life, living in faithfulness, with her husband, Ned Nwoko, she decided to spend one last night partying.

The young actress was spotted last night, partying and drinking with her ex-boyfriend, Somadinma Adinma.

Somadina flew all the way to Delta State to attend the Children's day event organised by Regina Daniels yesterday and they were spotted dancing together at the after-party.

Today, Regina is set to be the traditionally married to her 59-year-old beau.

The wedding between the young actress and her billionaire fiance is said to be hush hush. Celebrities who graced Regina Daniels' Children's Day Carnival in Agbor are reportedly not aware of the event.

According to sources, Regina's mum is over the moon about her daughter's marriage to the billionaire but Regina doesn't seem as enthusiastic. The former child actress reportedly looks lost most of the time but this isn't the case with her mother.

Some have begun to complain about how visible Regina's mother has been and are asking if she is the one Ned is getting married to.

As for Ned, he reportedly adores Regina and can barely keep his eyes and hands off her.

Regina's traditional marriage comes days after she was initiated into the married women's group in Anioma, Delta state.

Regina Daniels’ father against daughter's marriage to Billionaire Ned Nwoko

Regina Daniels' father against daughter's marriage to Billionaire Ned Nwoko
Mr Jude Ojeogwu, the father to young Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels, has stated that the traditional ceremony doesn't have his consent.

Regina Daniels is set to have her traditional ceremony, slated to hold today in Delta state, with senator-elect, Prince Ned Nwoko.

Mr Jude Ojeogwu wrote on Facebook:

Regina daniel Ojeogwu is my biological daughter. What ever is ongoing is not to my knowledge and without my consent. The fact speaks for itself looking at the picture. Her mother Rita daniel is threading on a dangerous path and I hope she will retrace her steps. Even the initiation ceremony into otu odu appears completely strange to Regina daniel Ojeogwu.

Regina is from ogwashi uku and not from olor as being rumored. All the opportunities for Mr Ned nwoko to discuss with me proved abortive not realising that we once lived in the same house in awoyokun street, onikpan, Lagos. The implication of all this is that she inpregnated herself. The name Regina was my late mother's name. I have tried to exercise restraint but Regina mother kept pushing me to wall. Am alive and not dead. If in doubt of this post call Barrister Jude Ojeogwu on 08033039058

APC National Working Committee Hit Fresh Crisis

Posted: 28 May 2019 06:17 PM PDT

Adams Oshiomhole

Senator Lawal Shuaibu, the Deputy National Chairman (North) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has demanded the resignation of Adams Oshiomhole, the party's national chairman,  alleging that having failed to add value to the fortune of the party and shown gross incompetent to lead the party, he should quit.

The Senator in a personal letter he wrote to the former Edo state governor, titled 'APC: It's fortunes vs misfortune, time to act', and made available to news men, the embattled party chieftain decried what he  characterised as Oshiomhole's highhandedness, accusing him of crashing the fortune and goodwill the party garnered in 2015.

Shuaibu lamented what he called, the failure of the party under Oshiomhole to consolidate its victories at the governorship and National Assembly levels, saying that the national chairman's "ability to ensure this party flourishes is deficient as you lack the necessary composure and you also don't possess the capabilities and the requisite experience to run a political party, The Sun News reports.

"The respect APC was commanding among its members and sympathizers have been completely eroded," Shuaibu said. "While the goodwill has equally evaporated with the type of attitude of threats to members you deploy, including senior members like Governors, Senators, Ministers and other government officials whose functions do not fall within your jurisdiction.

"As I know, the relationship between party and government are cooperation and collaboration to ensure government programs are implemented in line with the party manifesto, but not shouting and giving marching instructions to government officials on television screens or on the pages of newspapers and, more often than not, they call your bluff and make look helplessly unimportant in the scheme of things."

"Please don't get me wrong, do not think I am saying these about your conduct as chairman because I want to be chairman. I don't want to be National Chairman, because I can not be, even if I want to, for as long as President Muhammadu Buhari is in office, having come from the same North West geo-political zone.

"In advanced democracies, people who fail to add value or build over and above what they met on assumption of duty show some civilized examples, they honourably bow out. In that connection, therefore, I want to advise you to take the path of honour, to step aside and allow the party to embark on the onerous task of reconstruction and rehabilitation in those states it was weakened by the effect of manner the last primary election exercises were conducted or even the task of recreating the party where it is on the path of extinction, arising from the loss of a sitting APC government.

"For example in Zamfara State, where you directly personally created the problem, leading to the painful complete loss of APC's electoral fortunes, FROM UP TO DOWN. All these are uncontestably facts. You cannot exonerate yourself from blame on what happened to APC Zamfara State, thereby destroying the hopes and aspirations of 534,541 APC members and supporters, including my good self! l have nothing personal, except that I love this party and can not keep quiet seeing it being brutally murdered!" he noted.
While highlighting the faulty processes, he accused the chairman of altering some sensitive decisions taken during the NWC meetings, accusing him of taking the meetings of the national leadership of the party to his personal residence.

"The last congresses in states, unfortunately, represented a complete lack of knowledge, let alone experience on how due process in political electoral process is adhered to. The NWC is saddled with the responsibility of recommending guidelines for every electoral process and appointing committees that will embark on conducting primary elections for every constituency and submit report and thereafter an appeal committee will attend to complaints and petitions and also submit its report to the NWC.

"The NWC is then expected to perform the duty of the final adjudicatory body on each electoral matter and from there you have the final list of Candidates. National Chairman cannot, in any circumstances be Chairman of any committee be it screening committee of any other committee contrary to what you did.

"Chairman presides over the meetings of NWC in which each matter disposed of by any appeals committee is examined and final decision reached. If the National Chairman should chair any of these committees what if there is a complaint about his own conduct, who do you send your petition to? He can not be a judge in his own matter!

READ ALSO: Senators Treated Like School Pupils By Oshiomhole – Senator-elect claims

"NWC meetings, in my own experience, shall not be held in private residences especially where it involves thousands of party men and women with grudges over injustice meted out on them by officials of the party. The party secretariat is the officially recognized venue of such meetings, unless if there are other motives for keeping away from there.

"For every meeting of any organ of the party, there shall be minutes of the meeting reflecting every decision taken at such meeting. Most of the meetings held and fundamental decisions purported to have been taken were not backed by minutes.

"The few meetings that were covered by the secretariat and minutes taken could clearly show that final decisions of the NWC were altered! Example was the unanimous decision by NWC to allow Aisha Alhassan, former Minister of Women Affairs to go and contest with her co-aspirants at the primaries in Taraba State which decision was overruled by you. You single-handedly disqualified her and numbers in the party got depleted and thereby weakened. So also, several other aspirants that you personally disqualified without just cause.

"Arising from such conduct, the APC ended up with severe injuries and is today badly fractured in virtually every constituency in this country, resulting in the erosion of the massive goodwill that you met the party with.

"Apart from the President, more than 60 per cent of members including those that contested elections under the APC in 2019 are not happy with the process as it left a lot to be desired. We have court cases in every state, by far much more than it was in 2015 and I wonder how much money the party is likely to spend on litigations arising from mistakes of the National Chairman in not adhering to due process and side-lining transparency.

"Committees for primaries became secret affair to the extent that not even members of the NWC were aware of how certain committees were constituted with members mostly from Edo State outnumbering every other State and in some instance, the same Edo members sewing in more than one State in conducting primaries.

"The records are there to be seen. What is wrong with being just in what you find yourself doing for the people? Personal interest should not be allowed to overshadow the interests of our teeming loyal members across the country," he quipped.

Ex-raying the incidences that culminated into the misfortunes suffered by the party in the 2019 election activities and campaigns, he said: "Under normal circumstances, when you take over as a project manager, it is expected that you bring to bear, your wealth of experience to the new job which will be seen in your capacity and capabilities as value addition.

"In a political party like the APC, you are expected to also introduce new approach to strategies through committees that will work and submit recommendations to you towards improving on the current fortunes of the party. It is expected that for every decision credited to the party, it should be the result of a meeting where resolutions are passed by the working committee.

"It is also expected that policies by the party are always alI-inclusive and never one sided and to cap it up, no unilateral decisions should be made to represent the opinion of either the NWC, the National Executive Committee or even the least, the National Caucus. National Chairman cannot assume the powers of the NWC," he said.

Expressing disappointment that the ruling party's members at the National Assembly have to practically kowtow to members of the opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to win the statutory positions for the party, chiding Oshiomhole over his utterances not to allow any PDP Senator to be appointed as Committee Chairman except the committees statutorily meant for the opposition members of the Senate.

"We all know and I still believe that by electing us into the various party offices, we are expected to build this institution to flourish and wax stronger beyond our own tenure, not to be seen as undertakers that came to kill and bury it, and clearly so! The strength of every political party I also believe, lies in the number of States it is able to win elections.

"We had 23 States in 2015, but after the 2019 elections we lost seven states! We also had 60 Senators in 2015 at the end of the election count, we now end up with 57 Senators in 2019! You were not brought in to lose election, It is absolutely unacceptable!

"What this entails is that for any Senator to become a presiding officer he needs to go and kneel down before the PDP Senators and beg for support! And to make things worse, you announced that APC will not allow any PDP Senator to be, appointed as Committee Chairman except the committees statutorily meant for the opposition members of the Senate.

"That is never the tradition of the legislature anywhere! The Legislature is the house of collaboration and lobby and you can never succeed with hostile approach, you must lobby seek for cooperation of members across party divides. If you don't know, you have made the situation worse than it seems.

"Try and use your calculator and you will find that as at now, if anybody, backed by the PDP members, wants to become Senate President, all he needs is the support of only six APC Senators to win the election on the floor of the Senate! Chairman, strategies are not announced on television, they are discussed at caucuses.

"We have no reason whatsoever to go about it this way if we really are serious in building this institution that many leaders suffered to put in place," he fired.

Police vs Dino Melaye: What Transpired In Court On Monday

Posted: 28 May 2019 01:55 PM PDT

Sen. Dino Melaye

A Prosecution witness has told an FCT High Court that Sen. Dino Melaye did not jump out of a moving vehicle on April 24, 2018.

A police driver with the Inspector-General of Police Special Tactical Squad, Inspector Abana Mallum, while testifying, said: "anyone who said Melaye jumped out through the window, is a liar."

Melaye, who represents Kogi West senatorial district in the National Assembly, was charged before Justice Sylvanus Oriji, sitting in Apo,, by the police with six counts bordering on attempted suicide, attempt to escape from custody and damage of police property.

He was said to have committed the alleged offence on April 24, 2018 while being conveyed by the police to Lokoja, Kogi, Daily Post reports.

The police alleged that Melaye sat on the ground, holding a substance in one hand, threatening to drink it to kill himself and implicate police officers.

He was further alleged to have broken the windshield of the vehicle in which he was being conveyed to Lokoja with his elbow and caused damage to police property.

The offence, the prosecution said contravened the provisions of sections 148,153,173,231, 326 and 327 of the Penal Code.

The witness, made this known while being cross examined by counsel for Melaye, Benson Igbanoi, who held the brief of Dr Mike Ozekhome, SAN.

He stated that the police team conveying Melaye to Lokoja took off from the Abattoir office of the IGP squad and was intercepted at the Area 1 roundabout in Abuja by a Hilux van.

Mallum, who testified as the second prosecution witness (PW2), informed the court that the bus he was driving was blocked by an unknown van that someone in the bus forcefully opened the door.

He said Melaye was seated in the second row on the left side of the vehicle.

He said that there were six other policemen, including the team leader, ASP Sunday Ibrahim.

The witness told the court that he did not see the senator holding a gun at the scene of interception by the Hilux van.

Mallum, however, told the court that Melaye held something in his hand but he could not identify what it was.

"I don't know where he got the thing from," he said.

The police inspector further informed the court that the police team chased the Hilux van caught up with it at the Yar'Adua Centre.

"We caught up with them near Yar'Adua Centre.

"Some of them ran into the bush behind the National Mosque. Only one person was eventually arrested there.

"I don't know the name of that person. I don't know if that person was charged to court for any offence. I don't know how many of them escaped; I only know one was arrested.

"Anyone who says three person were arrested, that person is telling lie," Mallum told the court.

Meanwhile, Justice Oriji has adjourned till May 28, for continuation of hearing.

BUHARI ANTI-CORRUPTION: Those who call me ‘Baba go slow’ will know the real me in my Second Term

Posted: 28 May 2019 01:16 PM PDT

President Muhammadu Buhari

Ahead of the second term inauguration of President Muhammadu Buhari, he has sent a warning signal to the corrupt citizens.

The president disclosed that he will be more ruthless in the fight against corruption in his second term, saying that those who call him "Baba go slow" will discover whether or not they are right.

Buhari said this during a special interview on Monday night as part of per-inauguration events.

The president also spoke about insecurity in the country, promising to reform the police. He added that the Judiciary will also get his attention, Ripples Nigeria reports.

President Buhari spared no words as he berated the National Assembly leadership for delaying the 2019 budget for seven months, branding them unpatriotic.

The president also thanked Nigerians for their support and solicited more support and understanding during his second term in office.

May 29: Buhari’s Inauguration, Supreme Court Asked To Stop Exercise

Posted: 28 May 2019 12:28 PM PDT

President Muhammadu Buhari

The Supreme Court has been asked by Hope Democratic Party, HDP, one of the parties that participated in the February 23 Presidential election to stop the inauguration of President Muhammadu Buhari for second term, slated for Wednesday, May 29.

HDP prayed the apex court to restrain the President-elect from presenting himself for swearing in ceremony pending the final determination of petitions challenging the validity of his election.

In a notice of appeal to Supreme Court, the party faulted the striking out of its motion on the notice by the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal on may 22, on ground of lack of merit, Daily Post reports.

Yusuf Ibrahim, in an appeal filed on behalf of HDP prayed for an order of the apex court directing the Senate President or the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) to take over the rein of power pending the time all issues arising from the last election would be fully resolved.

HDP also prayed for another order setting aside the ruling of justice, Joseph Ikyegh which on May 22, refused to stop the inauguration of Buhari.

In the notice of appeal, filed on May 24, the HDP claimed that the tribunal erred in law in striking out its motion without giving cognizance to relevant law cited.

Specifically, the party claimed that the tribunal failed to apply the extant provision of section 25 of the Electoral Act 2010 mandatorily suspending and returns of the questions election of February 23, 2019 presidential election until the validity of the said election is determined by the tribunal

The party claimed that "The court is under an unwavering duty to obey and apply the expressed constitutional prohibitive and injunctive provision of section 1(2) of the 1999 constitutional to safeguard and uphold the sanctity of the constitution above any individual; or group interest under any guise."

However, the notice of appeal may have suffered a setback as the registry of the tribunal refused to transmit the notice of appeal to the Supreme Court.

The registry said the notice will not be transmitted to the apex court until the party makes a deposit of One Million Naira (N1M) for assessment of the record of proceedings and transmitting same to Supreme Court as required by law.

But in a press statement, the HDP accused the tribunal of arbitraries and attempts to truncate its appeal.

The press statement signed by Sani Usman, its national publicity secretary read in part.

It added, "It has come to our notice that our party/petitioner's notice of Appeal to the Supreme Court duly lodged and assessed by the tribunal Registry has since Friday 25/05/2019, after due payment of the filling fees, has been withheld by the tribunal registry, demanding just this Monday the deposit of N1 Million before any other step will be taken to issue date of settlement of records to ascertain the volume of documents to be transmitted to the supreme Court in the interlocutory appeal arising from the said court ruling of 22/05/2019.

"This development appears arbitrary and unfortunate at this stage of our democratic experiment. It is like putting the cart before the horse and clear attempt to deny the petitioners/Appellant their constitutional right of appeal on a subject deserving and towards improving our laws.

"We hope that our relief seeking order at the Supreme Court that either the Senate President or the chief Justice of Nigeria preside over or hold the rein of government until appeal is determined in accordance with the law as no vacuum is allowed in the government of a nation after May 29, 2019.

4,000 Ghost Police Pensioners, Uncovered By PTAD

Posted: 28 May 2019 08:23 AM PDT

© Getty Images File Photo-Alleged kidnappers are taken away by the police

More than 4,000 ghost pensioners have been discovered out of the 20,000 police pensioners inherited by the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD).

Sharon Ikeazor, Executive Secretary of PTAD, made this disclosure yesterday in Benin City, at the directorate's ongoing pensioners' verification and biometric data capturing for officers who retired from the Federal Government agencies and parastatals in Edo and Delta states. Ikeazor assured that good time awaits pensioners once the verification is finalised as they would no longer be made to pass through the rigours of physical presence for verification, adding that the directorate was planning to decentralise its operations across the states instead of pensioners going to Abuja for verification of their status.

"When we took on police pension, we had over 20,000 pensioners on our pay roll. By the time we concluded the verification, we got 16,000 pensioners and that is a lot of savings for government and the genuine pensioners are now being paid.

"The same goes for civil service pensions; by the time we concluded the verification, we had a lot of savings for government because those who were irregularly put on that pay roll by the last maladministration have been taken off and the genuine pensioners who were dropped, were replaced so it is the same exercise we are doing now.

"PTAD has four pension departments it inherited when it was set up – the police pension, the civil service pension, the Customs, Immigration and Prisons Service and the parastatals pensions. What we are doing now is the parastatals verification, which comprises over 260 government agencies.

"This verification will be the last verification that will be conducted by PTAD because what we are doing is to have a credible secured database. We will not bring our pensioners out again for verification once we conclude this. We have concluded police pension verification. Everyone here is on PTAD payroll so they will be verified and their pensions will continue and all those who have issues will be addressed. We do it state by state.

"We are out in the field for two weeks and after the field verification, we have state offices, we have an office here in Benin where they can go back and get their verification done. Lagos office is set up also and we are trying to decentralise so that our pensioners don't suffer and come all the way to Abuja for verification. In the comfort of their states, they will be verified," the Executive Secretary said.

Commenting on the verification, Mr. Albert Umoru, a pensioner from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Benin, said the exercise was not as good as expected and that bringing everybody together to a particular venue was boring.

Onaiyekan Says President Buhari’s Leadership Style Responsible For Nigeria’s Problems

Posted: 28 May 2019 07:32 AM PDT

John Cardinal Onaiyekan, Catholic Archbishop of Abuja

John Cardinal Onaiyekan, the Catholic Archbishop of Abuja, has said that the leadership style of President Muhammadu Buhari is the major reason for different impediments besieging Nigeria as a Nation.

Archbishop Onaiyekan, said the president needs to urgently review his leadership style to bring the country back to the line of true democracy expected by the masses.

Onaiyekan, who represented the president, Catholic Bishops Conference, Archbishop Augustin Akubeze, stated this on Sunday while delivering a message at the inter-denominational church service for the 2019 presidential inauguration ceremony held at National Christian Centre, Abuja.

Expressing his concern on the state of the nation, Onaiyekan said Nigerians are getting poorer, feeling hopeless and helpless, adding that there was tension in the land, while the poverty rate was increasing on a daily basis, Ripples Nigeria reports.

Onaiyekan also advised President Buhari's administration to put an end to blame game as it will not move the country forward.

READ ALSO: 2019: Fr. Mbaka Mobilises Support For Buhari's Reelection Despite Catholic Ban

"As we embrace a new term of government, it should be for us a new opportunity to change ways and review habits of governance, for a better Nigeria.

''We can and we should do this, God has endowed us with resources to achieve this, resources that we, unfortunately, turn into curses", he said.

He also said his submissions were his personal opinion and not from Archbishop Akabueze, adding that for a positive change to happen in Nigeria, sincere change of leadership will also need to take place.

He said: "The blame game of pointing accusing fingers at others will not carry us far. For a positive change to take place, we must all be ready for a sincere change of heart, from the lowest to highest, but especially at the highest levels.

"Empty boast and barefaced denials of the realities around us cannot build the nation." Onaiyekan added.

Going further, Onaiyekan said that Nigerian leaders have failed in their endeavours.

"At this moment, we should do well to acknowledge our failure to do things the right way. Here, the words of the Psalmist should challenge each of us''.

The Catholic cardinal lamented that while the rich were swimming in affluence, the number of poor Nigerians sadly continued to be on the increase.

"The truth is that our nation is not in a state for us to rejoice. The ranks of the poor are swelling by the day, hopeless and helpless, as they watch in frustration the affluence of the very few cruising in a different world. Such wide social economic disparity has led to anger, tension, violence and outright criminality in the land. All is not well. But all is not lost either.

"Again, here we must tell the truth. For too long, we have been seeing what seems to be a policy of polarisation of the nation along primordial fault lines of ethnicity and religion. The result is that we have been indulging in the risky game of 'dancing on the brink of chaos'. "We do not know for how long we can continue to get away with this. But the handwriting on the wall is quite clear for all who cared to see. It is sad that no condition is permanent: certainly not the present state of our nation.

"Our ethnic diversity is God's will and gift that we ought to appreciate and celebrate. We should beware of those who seek to manipulate this in a game of divide and rule, for selfish interests".

Dino Melaye marries little girl in Kogi State, Speed Darlington reacts

Dino Melaye marries little girl in Kogi State, Speed Darlington reacts
Instagram rapper, Speed Darlington, has taken to his page to call out Senator Dino Melaye over his comment about a little girl who was given to him as a "wife".

The little girl was given to Dino Melaye during a ceremony in Okun community in Kogi state.

Sharing the photo, Dino Melaye wrote:

"My Aiyegun wife given to me today. Cultural joke. Great tradition of the Okun people. Lol".

His post didnt sit well with Speed Darling who found the joke distasteful and called the politician out on his IG page.

"This is the second time I'm posting this and you may hate me if you like but I need to free my spirit. They say you can gauge a person mental place based on the things he laughs at. In Nigeria pedophilia is tolerated but we don't tolerate abortion. You see how my people think? It's okey to have a baby wife but turns around and tell a woman what to do with her body? #PAP2023 marriage to a person under 17 years old is pure crime ?

He added:

Only pedophiles see joke here. The kind of things you laugh at is how we know what you like in real life.

Reno Omokri thinks arresting Blessing Okoro for false property claim is a crime
Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has jumped in defense of 'Breakup or Makeup' founder, Blessing Nkiruka Okoro, who was briefly arrested over false property claim.

According to Reno, what she did is not a crime rather its merely immoral and dishonest.

"Lying that you own a house that you don't own is immoral and dishonest, but it is not a CRIME. The only CRIME I see here is the arrest, handcuffing and public harassment of Blessing Okoro. Who here, including me and Buhari, has not lied before?."

Blessing Okoro was arrested by Billionaire Onye Eze, the owner of the house she claimed belongs to her. She was captured and handcuffed as seen in a viral video.

Sani Mu'azu's brother has been confirmed 'released' after kidnap

Sani Mu'azu's brother has been confirmed 'released' after kidnap
Abducted filmmaker, Salisu Muazu, and two others, have regained their freedom two days after being abducted by unknown gunmen, along the Kaduna-Jos road on Thursday.

Alhaji Sani Muazu, a brother to the victim, confirmed their release to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kano on Sunday.
He said all the three victims were freed after paying the N10m ransom as demanded by the kidnappers.

According to Sani, "We paid the ransom and we were misled on where we could reach our brothers and while searching, a truck driver, who saw them, led us to where we could find them."

He described the situation and the experience of trying to secure their release as a grueling one for both the captives and their relatives.

It was recalled that the two brothers and two others were returning from a conference in Kaduna when they were stopped by armed bandits on their way to Jos.

While Sani narrowly escaped, his brother, Salisu, and two other friends were held captive by the bandits, who later demanded N10m ransom.

Sani and Salisu are both filmmakers and television experts who have been in Kannywood since the inception of the industry.
