Timi Dakolo rants about a Nigerian pastor
Timi Dakolo has again called out a 'certain' pastor who s3xually abuses some of his members.

In a series of message he shared, Timi Dakolo revealed that the Pastor and his attrocities are covered by some elders in the church to the point of even paying to silence me victims.

He shared the messages with the caption;

"COMMONWEALTH KO ZION NI..CHURCH IS SUPPOSE TO FIX BROKEN PEOPLE AND NOT CRUSH PEOPLE WHO SHOW UP IN CHURCH NEEDING GOD."

See the messages

Recall that last year, Timi Dakolo  accused a certain Abuja pastorof sleeping with virgins. He made this known in reaction to a certain Ese Walter who accused the COZA pastor of having his way with her.

He wrote:

"Your Abuja pastor you people are shouting mentor and praising everywhere should be in jail. The amount of pain and ruins he has left innocent girls in. Forcefully taking away their innocence even in their teenage years. Forever leaving a deep dent in their soul..Man of which God?"
Timi further advised the ladies who have been victims of the pastor's act to know that they are not alone.
"To all the women out there that have been a victim to this issue, you are not alone. Your truth will be heard whether people believe your truth or not."

Reno Omokri plead with Blessing Okoro not to contemplate suicide
Reno Omokri took to his Twitter handle to appeal to relationship blogger, Blessing Okoro, not to commit suicide.

It will be recalled that Blessing received serious bashing some days ago after a video of her being handcuffed over her false claim of owning a building, surfaced online.

Blessing had earlier in the month posted photos of the building claiming it was hers. It later emerged that she wasn't the owner of the house. The real owner, known as Onye Eze China later got her caught, handcuffed and made her confess the house wasn't hers.

The video was posted online and thoroughly embarrassed Blessing.

Reaching out to her, Reno wrote: "Dear Blessing Okoro

"Don't contemplate suicide. SHAME is a SATANIC emotion. When God created man, we were NAKED and we were not ASHAMED. It is the fall of man that brought SHAME. Jesus died to take away your SHAME. Turn from the WORLD to the WORD #FreeLeahSharibu #RenosNuggets
"If anybody can help me with Blessing Okoro's contact details, I will be most grateful. I would have included my email address, but the last time I tried to reach a distressed person by giving an email address opportunistic people just cluttered my inbox with begging emails."

Onye Eze's girlfriend begs for prayers for Okoro Blessing over claims of being set up
Onye Eze's girlfriend Laireana, has begged for prayers for Okoro Blessing, as she reacted to her new claims of being set up.

Earlier the blogger said she was not arrested nor humiliated by police officers, but by Onye Eze and his boys who threatened to kill her.

She further revealed that the security operatives the China based businessman brought, claimed they were from the Inspector General of Police and they also threatened to shoot her.

Okoro Blessing who disclosed that she was set up by Onye Eze, further revealed that she was forced to sign an undertaken and threatened with publishing the video confession she made unless she brings N500K. She further revealed that she wants the world to know what happened before taking her life.

However Onye Eze's girlfriend who reacted to claims of being set up by Okoro Blessing, stated that she has now confirmed that some people were created without brains. She also insinuated that Okoro Blessing is possessed by demons, even though God has restored confidence in the lives of Nigerians girls who work hard.

Recall that she had earlier begged Nigerians to forgive the blogger as she only lied but didn't kill anyone.

EFCC arrests Rochas Okorocha a day after handing over

EFCC arrests Rochas Okorocha a day after handing over
The immediate past governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, just a day after leaving office.

The anti-graft agency stormed Ogboko where they also arrested his wife Nkechi Okorocha, as well as Gerald Okorocha and Okey Okorocha.

EFCC also sealed off his Eastern Palm University in Ogboko.

Rochas Okorocha yesterday handed over to his successor Emeka Ihedioha.

During the handover ceremony in Owerri yesterday, Okorocha stated that he doesn't want anyone to fight him as he leaves office.

"I have not broken the law, I only bend to achieve results. I do things the other way and I get results. I remember in 2011 when darkness ravaged and people cannot go out for fear of being kidnapped but today Imo is a secured state.

"So I can say that I came, I saw and I conquered. I am not here to make speeches on my achievements. I encourage you to support the new government in power.

"The office of the governor is a seal covering people, it is like a mask covering me and if you remove that mask you will see the real Rochas that is bigger than the governor. Let those that are fighting stop as I leave the Government House today."

Kano Emirate Probe: Arrest Of Sanusi, Two Others Ordered By Court In Kano

Posted: 30 May 2019 05:10 PM PDT

Court

The Chief of Staff to the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, Mannir Sanusi's arrest has been ordered by a Chief Magistrates' Court sitting in Kano, on Tuesday, along with two others.

According to a report by the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, the three were dragged before the court by the Kano State Public Complainant and Anti-corruption Commission for failing to honour its invitation in a N4 billion fraud investigation against the Emir of Kano.

Chief Magistrate Mohammed Idris ordered the arrest of Sanusi, who holds the traditional title of Damburan Kano, Mujitaba Abba and the Accountant of Kano Emirate Council, Sani Muhammad-Kwaru, over their alleged refusal to honour the commission's invitation.

The commission wrote to the court seeking an order of arrest against the three palace officials.

Idris consequently issued and signed the arrest warrant sequel to a motion by Salisu Tahir, Chief State counsel.

Tahir had said that the request was based on the provision of Section 38 of the enabling Law establishing the Commission.

According to NAN's report, the Commission had invited four people in connection with the allegation, of which only one person, Isa Bayero, alias Isa Pilot, who was a former Scribe to the Emirate Council, honoured the invitation.

When contacted, the Chairman of the commission, Mr Muhiyi Magaji said the three persons that have arrest warrant on their heads are the principal suspects in the case.

He said the commission had already requested security operatives to enforce the order and arrest the three persons.

President Muhammadu Buhari

Inaugural speech by His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari following his swearing-in as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on 29th May, 2015

I am immensely grateful to God Who Has preserved us to witness this day and this occasion. Today marks a triumph for Nigeria and an occasion to celebrate her freedom and cherish her democracy. Nigerians have shown their commitment to democracy and are determined to entrench its culture. Our journey has not been easy but thanks to the determination of our people and strong support from friends abroad we have today a truly democratically elected government in place.

I would like to thank President Goodluck Jonathan for his display of statesmanship in setting a precedent for us that has now made our people proud to be Nigerians wherever they are. With the support and cooperation he has given to the transition process, he has made it possible for us to show the world that despite the perceived tension in the land we can be a united people capable of doing what is right for our nation. Together we co-operated to surprise the world that had come to expect only the worst from Nigeria. I hope this act of graciously accepting defeat by the outgoing President will become the standard of political conduct in the country.

I would like to thank the millions of our supporters who believed in us even when the cause seemed hopeless. I salute their resolve in waiting long hours in rain and hot sunshine to register and cast their votes and stay all night if necessary to protect and ensure their votes count and were counted. I thank those who tirelessly carried the campaign on the social media. At the same time, I thank our other countrymen and women who did not vote for us but contributed to make our democratic culture truly competitive, strong and definitive.

FULL TEXT: Inaugural Speech Of President Buhari On May 29, 2015

 I thank all of you.

Having just a few minutes ago sworn on the Holy Book, I intend to keep my oath and serve as President to all Nigerians.

I belong to everybody and I belong to nobody.

A few people have privately voiced fears that on coming back to office I shall go after them. These fears are groundless. There will be no paying off old scores. The past is prologue.

Our neighbours in the Sub-region and our African brethenen should rest assured that Nigeria under our administration will be ready to play any leadership role that Africa expects of it. Here I would like to thank the governments and people of Cameroon, Chad and Niger for committing their armed forces to fight Boko Haram in Nigeria.

I also wish to assure the wider international community of our readiness to cooperate and help to combat threats of cross-border terrorism, sea piracy, refugees and boat people, financial crime, cyber crime, climate change, the spread of communicable diseases and other challenges of the 21st century.

At home we face enormous challenges. Insecurity, pervasive corruption, the hitherto unending and seemingly impossible fuel and power shortages are the immediate concerns. We are going to tackle them head on. Nigerians will not regret that they have entrusted national responsibility to us. We must not succumb to hopelessness and defeatism. We can fix our problems.

In recent times Nigerian leaders appear to have misread our mission. Our founding fathers, Mr Herbert Macauley, Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Alhaji Ahmadu Bello, the Sardauna of Sokoto, Alhaji Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, Malam Aminu Kano, Chief J.S. Tarka, Mr Eyo Ita, Chief Denis Osadeby, Chief Ladoke Akintola and their colleagues worked to establish certain standards of governance. They might have differed in their methods or tactics or details, but they were united in establishing a viable and progressive country. Some of their successors behaved like spoilt children breaking everything and bringing disorder to the house.

Furthermore, we as Nigerians must remind ourselves that we are heirs to great civilizations: Shehu Othman Dan fodio's caliphate, the Kanem Borno Empire, the Oyo Empire, the Benin Empire and King Jaja's formidable domain. The blood of those great ancestors flow in our veins. What is now required is to build on these legacies, to modernize and uplift Nigeria.

Daunting as the task may be it is by no means insurmountable. There is now a national consensus that our chosen route to national development is democracy. To achieve our objectives we must consciously work the democratic system. The Federal Executive under my watch will not seek to encroach on the duties and functions of the Legislative and Judicial arms of government. The law enforcing authorities will be charged to operate within the Constitution. We shall rebuild and reform the public service to become more effective and more serviceable. We shall charge them to apply themselves with integrity to stabilize the system.

For their part the legislative arm must keep to their brief of making laws, carrying out over-sight functions and doing so expeditiously. The judicial system needs reform to cleanse itself from its immediate past. The country now expects the judiciary to act with dispatch on all cases especially on corruption, serious financial crimes or abuse of office. It is only when the three arms act constitutionally that government will be enabled to serve the country optimally and avoid the confusion all too often bedeviling governance today.

Elsewhere relations between Abuja and the States have to be clarified if we are to serve the country better. Constitutionally there are limits to powers of each of the three tiers of government but that should not mean the Federal Government should fold its arms and close its eyes to what is going on in the states and local governments. Not least the operations of the Local Government Joint Account. While the Federal Government can not interfere in the details of its operations it will ensure that the gross corruption at the local level is checked. As far as the constitution allows me I will try to ensure that there is responsible and accountable governance at all levels of government in the country. For I will not have kept my own trust with the Nigerian people if I allow others abuse theirs under my watch.

FULL TEXT: Inaugural Speech Of President Buhari On May 29, 2015
However, no matter how well organized the governments of the federation are they can not succeed without the support, understanding and cooperation of labour unions, organized private sector, the press and civil society organizations. I appeal to employers and workers alike to unite in raising productivity so that everybody will have the opportunity to share in increased prosperity. The Nigerian press is the most vibrant in Africa. My appeal to the media today – and this includes the social media – is to exercise its considerable powers with responsibility and patriotism.

My appeal for unity is predicated on the seriousness of the legacy we are getting into. With depleted foreign reserves, falling oil prices, leakages and debts the Nigerian economy is in deep trouble and will require careful management to bring it round and to tackle the immediate challenges confronting us, namely; Boko Haram, the Niger Delta situation, the power shortages and unemployment especially among young people. For the longer term we have to improve the standards of our education. We have to look at the whole field of medicare. We have to upgrade our dilapidated physical infrastructure.

The most immediate is Boko Haram's insurgency. Progress has been made in recent weeks by our security forces but victory can not be achieved by basing the Command and Control Centre in Abuja. The command centre will be relocated to Maiduguri and remain until Boko Haram is completely subdued. But we can not claim to have defeated Boko Haram without rescuing the Chibok girls and all other innocent persons held hostage by insurgents.

This government will do all it can to rescue them alive. Boko Haram is a typical example of small fires causing large fires. An eccentric and unorthodox preacher with a tiny following was given posthumous fame and following by his extra judicial murder at the hands of the police. Since then through official bungling, negligence, complacency or collusion Boko Haram became a terrifying force taking tens of thousands of lives and capturing several towns and villages covering swathes of Nigerian sovereign territory.

Boko Haram is a mindless, godless group who are as far away from Islam as one can think of. At the end of the hostilities when the group is subdued the Government intends to commission a sociological study to determine its origins, remote and immediate causes of the movement, its sponsors, the international connexions to ensure that measures are taken to prevent a reccurrence of this evil. For now the Armed Forces will be fully charged with prosecuting the fight against Boko haram. We shall overhaul the rules of engagement to avoid human rights violations in operations. We shall improve operational and legal mechanisms so that disciplinary steps are taken against proven human right violations by the Armed Forces.

Boko Haram is not only the security issue bedeviling our country. The spate of kidnappings, armed robberies, herdsmen/farmers clashes, cattle rustlings all help to add to the general air of insecurity in our land. We are going to erect and maintain an efficient, disciplined people – friendly and well – compensated security forces within an over – all security architecture.

The amnesty programme in the Niger Delta is due to end in December, but the Government intends to invest heavily in the projects, and programmes currently in place. I call on the leadership and people in these areas to cooperate with the State and Federal Government in the rehabilitation programmes which will be streamlined and made more effective. As ever, I am ready to listen to grievances of my fellow Nigerians. I extend my hand of fellowship to them so that we can bring peace and build prosperity for our people.

No single cause can be identified to explain Nigerian's poor economic performance over the years than the power situation. It is a national shame that an economy of 180 million generates only 4,000MW, and distributes even less. Continuous tinkering with the structures of power supply and distribution and close on $20b expanded since 1999 have only brought darkness, frustration, misery, and resignation among Nigerians. We will not allow this to go on. Careful studies are under way during this transition to identify the quickest, safest and most cost-effective way to bring light and relief to Nigerians.

Unemployment, notably youth un-employment features strongly in our Party's Manifesto. We intend to attack the problem frontally through revival of agriculture, solid minerals mining as well as credits to small and medium size businesses to kick – start these enterprises. We shall quickly examine the best way to revive major industries and accelerate the revival and development of our railways, roads and general infrastructure.

Your Excellencies, My fellow Nigerians I can not recall when Nigeria enjoyed so much goodwill abroad as now. The messages I received from East and West, from powerful and small countries are indicative of international expectations on us. At home the newly elected government is basking in a reservoir of goodwill and high expectations. Nigeria therefore has a window of opportunity to fulfill our long – standing potential of pulling ourselves together and realizing our mission as a great nation.

Our situation somehow reminds one of a passage in Shakespeare's Julius Ceasar
There is a tide in the affairs of men which,
taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;
Omitted, all the voyage of their life,
Is bound in shallows and miseries.

We have an opportunity. Let us take it.

Thank you.

Muhammadu Buhari
President Federal Republic of NIGERIA
and Commander-in-chief of the Armed forces

Huawei Founder Says He Would Be 'The First To Protest' Against Chinese Sanctions Against Apple

Mr. Ren Zhengfei, the chief executive officer and founder of Huawei, has said that he does not support the idea of retaliatory sanctions against Apple in return for increased US sanctions against his company.

"If that happens, I'll be the first to protest," Ren Zhengfei told Bloomberg. "Apple is my teacher, it's in the lead. As a student, why go against my teacher? Never."

Analysts have for weeks debated the possible effect that any action by the Chinese government would have on Apple, with one Goldman Sachs analyst forecasting a 29pc drop in Apple's earnings per share if China bans the sale of iPhones.

But, Mr Ren said that he does not expect that the Chinese government will introduce sanctions against Apple.

The US government imposed increased sanctions on Huawei earlier this month over concerns that the company's close relationship with the Chinese government could mean that its devices are used for espionage, an allegation which Huawei has consistently denied.

Huawei was added to the US government's entity list, blocking US companies from selling goods and services to the firm without the approval of the US government.

The sanctions have stopped Huawei's ability to licence the full version of the Android operating system from Google, and blocked US chip suppliers from sending shipments to the company.

Huawei has also now been removed from two US standards bodies which define the technology used in smartphones. It has been dropped by the SD Association, meaning that future Huawei smartphones cannot officially support SD cards.

And the company has also been suspended from the Wi-Fi Alliance, but the suspension will not affect Huawei's ability to use Wi-Fi in its smartphones.

An informal "Apple boycott" has spread in China, with many customers publicly claiming to have swapped their iPhones for smartphones made by Chinese firms.

How To Eliminate Android Malware From Your Phone or Tablet

Google's ecosystem may be increasingly safe thanks to constant improvements to Play Protect, but that doesn't mean the chances of downloading an infected app are completely zero. Security and antivirus apps are great, too, but what if your device is already infected? If your Android device is suddenly slow, using too much data, serving an overabundance of ads, showing corrupted data, and fast battery drain, then you could have downloaded an app infected with malware — or the much more obvious ransomware. Suspect apps — often promising free work software, cheat codes, new games, porn, or money — are an increasingly common method of getting viruses onto your mobile devices, where they wreak havoc and steal data.

If you can still access your Android device, your first step should be to get rid of the infected app, before it tries to infect other devices or does more damage. Here's how to locate and remove Android malware, along with a few options for security downloads to help protect you in the future.

Step 1
Shut down until you find out the specifics

Once you're sure your phone is under attack by malware, hold the power button down and turn the phone fully off. It may not stop the malware from causing damage, but it can stop the problem from getting worse, and may halt ongoing malware attempts to access nearby networks.

Shutting down also gives you time to think and research. Do you know the specific infected app that brought malware onto your device? Do you know what other types of software it may have downloaded without your consent? If not, then move to another computer and look up your symptoms (as well as any new apps you tried out) to narrow down the issue. If you can't find the app at the root of the problem, you can't remove it.

READ ALSO:  Laptop Full Of Malware Auction Closes At $1.3 Million (Updated)

If your research turns up nothing, you may want to turn your phone back on and skip down to step five. Anti-malware apps can help identify what is causing your problems and may even be able to remove the infected software for you. However, this will also require restoring phone access to the internet again, which involves some risk.

Step 2
Switch to safe/emergency mode while you work

When you turn your device back on and plunge in to isolate the problematic app, switch over to safe mode first. This will help limit the damage the infected app can do.

For most Android devices, you can switch to safe mode by holding down the power button for a couple seconds when your device is on, then tapping and holding on the Power off option. This should bring up a few power options, including the option to Reboot to safe mode. Choose this mode and wait for your phone to reboot before you continue. If you can't find a safe mode, activate airplane mode instead, to cut your device off from any networks. You can usually find that option at the top of your notifications shade.

Simon Hill / Digital Trends
Note: If you can't find out what's causing your malware problem, even after downloading a security app, this is not the time to tinker. Ask a professional for help and if you should wipe your phone. This is a good strategy if increasingly common ransomware takes over your phone and blocks your actions.

Step 3
Head to Settings and find the app

Visit Settings on your Android device. Settings typically has a gear-shaped icon, but that depends on your themes and arrangement: Search for it if you have trouble locating the right spot.

In Settings, scroll until you see the section called Apps, and enter. Look for a list of all your current apps — you may need to choose App Manager to locate the full list. Once there, scroll until you find the infected app at the center of your problems.

Select the app, and this should bring up options to Uninstall, Force Close or Force Stop (often you cannot uninstall core apps, only disable them, but these apps are unlikely to be the problem).

Step 4
Delete the infected app and anything else suspicious

Simply choose Uninstall, and your Android device should remove the app in question. It's also a good idea to review your app list and uninstall other suspicious downloads — if you haven't looked at this list before, you may be surprised at some of the odd things your device has on it.
Simon Hill/Digital Trends
Note: In some cases, you can't uninstall the app, and the option itself won't be there — you'll see Disable in its place. Some of the smartest malware or ransomware will visit your administrator settings and give itself special protection to prevent this very thing. Fortunately, it's often easy to fix. Go back to the original Settings menu and scroll down to Lock Screen and Security (or a similar corresponding section). In the Security menu, look for a section that says "Phone (Device) Administrators." You may need to visit "Other security settings" first, depending on how your security menu is set up. In Phone Administrators, you should be able to enable the ability to remove Android malware.

Step 5
Download some malware protection apps

A vulnerable Android device deserves protection. There are a number of security apps you can download to help protect your phone, scan for viruses, and get rid of junk files and any potentially infected software. When you are finished manually deleting the troublesome app, download a security program to help take care of any future issues. There are many choices in this field: Try software like 360 Security, Avast Antivirus, or AVG Antivirus from the Google Play Store, or take a look at our other Android security recommendations here.

While it sounds obvious, it's also a really good idea to keep your Android device constantly updated. Forgetting to update is one of the key factors that can leave Android phones open to attack.

Laptop Full Of Malware Auction Closes At $1.3 Million (Updated)

Posted: 30 May 2019 11:26 AM PDT

Laptop Full Of Malware Auction Closes At $1.3 Million (Updated)

The bidding on a laptop packed with some of the world's most dangerous malware closed at $1.345 million. Dubbed "The Persistence of Chaos," the Samsung NC10 contains six viruses that have caused an estimated $95 billion in damages. Despite what you might think, it's not meant to be a tool for any world domination scheme. It's intended strictly as an art piece -- though it could be used for academic purposes -- and it's currently isolated and air-gapped to prevent foul play.

Commissioned by cybersecurity firm Deep Instinct, "The Persistence of Chaos" was created by artist Guo O Dong, who told The Verge that the piece is a way to give abstract cyber threats physical form. It contains viruses like WannaCry, which infected more than 200,000 computers across 150 countries and caused nearly $4 billion in damages, and BlackEnergy, which shut down a power grid in Ukraine, among other stunts. The laptop also contains the ILOVEYOU, MyDoom, SoBig and DarkTequila malware. Each is meant to be a reminder that ransomware has the potential for real-world harm.

In its isolated, air-gapped state, the laptop is harmless. In a sense, it might be comparable to collecting ancient weaponry. As long as you leave it on the shelf and don't pull the pin out of the grenade -- in this case connect to WiFi or plug in a USB -- it should be safe. While these viruses could still cause harm, they're outdated in the sense that new forms of ransomware are already at work, for instance, ravaging Baltimore and attacking cities like San Antonio. If Guo O Dong plans future iterations of this art form, he'll have plenty to work with.

Update 05/28 3:15am ET: This article has been updated to reflect the final higher bid. The closing value was adjusted from $1.2 million to $1.345 million on the The Persistence of Chaos website shortly after publishing.

Nigerians More Divided Now – US

Posted: 30 May 2019 10:10 AM PDT

Mr. Stuart Symington

Mr. Stuart Symington, the U. S Ambassador to Nigeria, has called on Nigerians to live in peace and unity irrespective of religious or ethnic affiliation.

He said unlike before, there is religious tolerance in the country.

The US Ambassador stated this on Tuesday evening in Abuja at the breaking of fast (Iftar) and feeding of indigent Muslims by Al-Habibiyyah Islamic Society, NAN reports.

"We need to underscore the importance of the need for unity and good relationship between people of different faith in Nigeria, because it's actually a strength.

"In the past in Nigeria we had people of about 500 languages, different faiths living together in peace. This is far from the senseless violence, blasphemy and deaths now.

"There is need to go back to those days when you celebrate both Sallah and Christmas, Easter and Ramadan together and above all share the language of God that says love and care," Symington said.

The envoy also urged Nigerians and religious leaders not to shield those who hide under religion to perpetuate violence and kill innocent people.

Regina Daniels's Marriage: 'Father has no right to demand bride price' Family source says
The sudden appearance of Regina Daniels' biological father tried to cast a blight on the young bride's day yesterday and was a source of great worry for Regina's mother.

But family sources say Mr Jude Ojeogwu has no right to seek a bride price since he never paid Rita Daniels' bride price.

Ms Rita Daniels was reportedly concerned when the father of her kids publicly reacted to his daughter's wedding and said his consent was not sought by the much older billionaire groom, Ned Nwoko.

In a number of voice notes making the rounds online, Mr Ojeogwu claimed his daughter was born in 2001 and will turn 18 in October. He also claimed politician Ned Nwoko is older than 59. He said he knows this because he and Mr Nwoko grew up together. He added that it was wrong for them to go over his head and get married to his daughter.

The various interviews granted by Mr Jude Ojeogwu were distressing for the bride's mother Ms Rita Daniels and she reportedly panicked, a source close to the situation told LIB.

Ms Rita Daniels later told her friends after yesterday's ceremony that she intends to head out to her new son-in-law's home in Abuja to "cool off" and may head to Dubai from there.

Friends of Ms Rita Daniels told LIB that Mr Ojeogwu has no right to claim certain dues now because he never paid Ms Daniels' bride price.

The source said, "a man who extracted 4 kids from one woman without paying a dime as bride price should not be talking about bride price let alone receiving one."

They added that, "Regina's father never married the mother, Rita so he has no right to demand bride price."

Former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, 392 passengers escape plane crash in Lagos

Former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, 392 passengers escape plane crash in Lagos
Olusegun Obasanjo, former Nigerian president and other Nigerians escaped death on Wednesday at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that other prominent Nigerians in the Ethiopian airline passenger aircraft, Boeing 777-300, included the Director General of Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) Ambassador Ayoola Olukanni.

Also in the plane was Prof Samson Tunde Adebayo, the Director of Ports Inspection, National Agency For Food And Drug Administration And Control (NAFDAC) as well as scores of Nigerians and other nationals.

The passenger aircraft, ET-901, had departed the Bole International Airport, Addis Ababa, at about 9:10 a.m., Ethiopian time; 7 a.m Nigerian time.

A NAN correspondent, who was among the passengers, recalled that the almost 5-hour flight from the Ethiopian capital to Lagos had been smooth until the pilot attempted to land at the Murtala Mohammed International airport.

Rather than landing on the first touch line of the runway, the pilot over short it, due to rain and heavy wind, landing on the third touchline.

NAN reports that, on realising this, the pilot quickly manouvered the plane back air, flying out of the Lagos airport.

After hovering around between Lagos and areas suspected to be in Ogun, causing panic in passengers and crew members, the plane landed in Lagos airport, some 20 minutes after the initial false landing.

The atmosphere in the air bus upon landing was replica of what is obtainable in some Nigerian worship centers, as many passengers broke out into worship songs and clapping, while some fell to their knees in prayer.

The duty manager and Chief Customer Service (Nigeria) of the airline, Mr Otori Jimoh Otan, told NAN that if the pilot had continued taxing down after landing on the third touch line, he would have overshot the runway.

"But this is an experienced pilot. He realised this immediately.

"Fortunately, the distance between when he realised the situation still permitted him to take off and renegotiate landing," Otori said.

Obasanjo and Olukanni had both attended a Stakeholders Dialogue on Continental Trade and Strengthening Implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) which ended on Tuesday in Addis Ababa.

Kit Harington is presently at a rehab where he is getting treatment for stress and alcohol.

Movie: 'Growing Pain' interprets Nigeria and her political system, it's a must watch

Movie: 'Growing Pain' interprets Nigeria and her political system, it's a must watch
For a short film not lasting longer than 17 minutes, Oru Russell portrays Nigeria and her political system in 'Growing Pains'.

'Growing Pain' is a bold effort from the young Oru Russell that might not only kick off a conversation on the state of the nation but also position the filmmaker for a brilliant career.

The short film mirrors the life of a Nigerian politician, who struggles with his conscience in his bid for power and bad reign.

'Growing Pain' is the story of Hero, a nine years old slum boy and product of an extra-marital affair between Honorable Kane, a rich politician, and Esther, a young and naive lady.

The film traverses between three main stories; Hero's journey from a confused young boy who found hope through the lens of a camera; Honorable Kane, who tries to find peace with his ten years old past and misrule; and Esther, a young and naive lady, whose course of life was redirected following her short-lived romance with Honourable Kane.

Rotimi Adelegan ('Hush' star) delivers a tactful role of Honourable Kane, the politician, who is fighting hard with his conscience to change his ways while he's been 'arm twisted' to remain in politics. Kane's life begins to fall apart as ten years of regrets hits him straight in the face, a confession, a quest for absolution of his sins and a search for a light at the end of a political crossroad.

In his delivery as the focus in the film, Lawal Nifemi plays the interesting role of Hero.

According to the script, Hero is the young boy and product of the short-lived affair between young and naive Esther, played by Debby Felix, and Honourable Kane. Seun Kentebe appears in few scenes playing the role of Raymond, the creative guy, who noticed Hero's disturbing path and decided to help redirect his path with photography.

Esther, another important character, was well delivered by Debby Felix.

From a naive young lady to a rejected and dejected single mum living in the slum, Esther struggles with the daily realities of raising a single boy and raising him to be her hero.

'Growing Pain' subtly touches on social issues such as drug usage among teenagers, institutionalised corruption and poverty. Honourable Kane had a field day in interpreting the life of a corrupt and non-caring politician.

The short film also captures the living condition of Nigerians in Nigeria, the slow decline and decadence in the country as well as the effect of the decisions of politicians on the people.

The movie is written and directed by Oru Russell and produced by Modupe Fakorede and Christopher Eluemuno.

According to Oru Russell, the film has been submitted for a number of film festivals. It's safe to say Russell is on his way to prominence with the low budget short film - according to global practice.

Regina Daniels was forced to marry Ned Nwoko to break family curse by her mother

Posted: 30 May 2019 01:09 PM PDT

Regina Daniels was forced to marry Ned Nwoko to break family curse by her mother
An Instagram gossip blog has revealed that there's a generational curse in the family of Regina Daniels' mother, Rita Daniels, which made her to allow the union between her daughter and Ned Nwoko.

In a post shared, the blog @cutie_juls revealed that Regina Daniels' mother couldn't hold back the marriage between her and billionaire Ned Nwoko because the curse needed to be broken.

This is coming after Mr Jude Ojeogwu, Regina Daniels' father revealed that his daughter's marriage to Ned Nwoko is without his consent.

The blog shares:

Put yourself in #RitaDaniel's shoes. Her grandmother had her mother at home with no bride price paid on her head. Her mother had her at home with no bride price paid on her head. In her own case, she bore 4 children for a man who did not pay her bride price because her mother's bride price was not paid and the mother could not identify her with the supposed man that fathered she #RitaDaniels.

Then your 17 year old girl making it the 4th generation comes home allegedly pregnant with a 59 abi 62 year old man. Would you rather the man pays her bride price to break this "generational curse" happening in continues 4 generation or you will allow your daughter end up bearing kids at home with no father or husband as per tradition?

Maybe she pushed her daughter in there out of pain and disappointment. Especially when it will be difficult to get an influential person like #NedNwoko arrested to impregnating your teenage daughter in a country like Nigeria where money can make the laws look bull**it

The whole thing is unfortunate and sad. Why are we not blaming #ReginaDaniels for giving her beautiful body to Pa Ned? Why are we not blaming Pa Ned who is a politician in Regina's state to have no better by helping Regina and her family out financially without any strings attached? Must he have sex with the 17year old who is probably younger than most of his children before assisting her financially even when he's already got women in his house as wives and probably some side chics out there?
