Nollywood actress Nse Ikpe-Etim has also condemned the alleged sexual harassment of the women, while they were in police custody. She disclosed this on Saturday during an event she hosted with her fans at the event, tagged, 'Conversation with Nse' which took place in Lekki, Lagos. According to The Nation, while relating on the incident, the actress said that, "Being a prostitute is not a crime. It is a job they chose." The Federal Capital Territory Police Command said it will probe the allegations of sexual assault against its men and punish those found erring. On April 27, policemen attached to the FCTA Joint Task Team arrested 34 female strippers at Caramelo night club in Abuja and labelled them as prostitutes. About 70 other women were arrested in other clubs. Arraigned before a mobile court, the women were granted bail on April 29. The women alleged some policemen extorted them, beat them and sexually molested them after they arrested and detained at Utako Police Division between April 26 April 29, 2019. The duchess went into labor early Monday morning with Harry at her side, the palace announced on Monday afternoon local time. Harry was with his wife when she gave birth at 5:26 a.m. local time. The baby weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces. Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland, is with the couple at their home, Frogmore Cottage, the palace said in the birth announcement. "It was amazing," said a beaming Harry in an impromptu press conference. "As every father and parent will ever say your baby is absolutely amazing… I'm just over the moon." The child will be seventh in line to the throne, following Prince Charles, Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis and Prince Harry. The baby is Queen Elizabeth II's eighth great-grandchild. They are still deciding on a name for the newborn, Harry said, adding that they would introduce the baby to the world in two days. "I'm so incredibly proud of my wife," he said. Prior to the birth, few details of the couple's plans were released. Last month, Kensington Palace said that the birth would be revealed only once Harry and Meghan had the opportunity to celebrate privately. Unlike Harry's brother, Prince William, they didn't share where the baby would be born. Some Nigerians are warming up again to throw their hard earned money at another Ponzi Scheme, as a new high yield investment program is launched, despite several billions of Naira lost to MMM in 2016.Read more about the new scheme as Azeezat Adedigba of the PREMIUM TIMES reports:In spite of the bitter experience millions of Nigerians had with various Ponzi schemes in the past, Loom, a similar scheme is making wave among many Nigerians on social media.Checks by PREMIUM TIMES have shown that many Nigerians are already taking chances with the new Ponzi scheme.After a popular Ponzi scheme, Mavrodi Mundial Moneybox (MMM) crashed in Nigeria in December 2016, many who lost their investments in the scheme vowed never to get involved in any form of Ponzi again.But Nigerians have taken to the internet to market Loom for more participation, especially on WhatsApp. How It Works The scheme which was first reported in the UK, then by an Australian media, ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) as a scam after it had gone viral in Australia, commenced in Nigeria recently. The first step of the process is being invited to join a WhatsApp group chat, usually by a friend or relative. Then you are asked to 'invest' N1,000, N2,000 or N13,000 with a promise that you will make eight times the amount back once you recruit new entrants. After you have paid in the money, you are asked to invite at least one person to join the system. There are four levels in Loom Nigeria – Purple, Blue, Orange and Red. Each time eight people join the loom, the person in the centre (Red) will get the target amount and leave the group. The loom will then split into two groups. The top half and the bottom half become the new looms and everyone moves into the next level (Purple Level – into Blue Level – Into Orange Level) and the cycle begins again. The more people you manage to add to the circle, the quicker the movement of it, and thus, the easier it will be for you to make your chunk of 'easy money'. The basics are that you get eight times the amount you "invest." If you invest N1,000, you get N8,000; if you invest N2,000, you get N16,000; and if you invest N13,000 you will get N104,000 Mixed Reactions "I joined the group on Saturday and I cashed out N16,000 on Sunday, Loom is real," said Rose, a phone outlet attendant. She said she is presently investing for a friend of hers. Once she cashes that out, she will do another round for herself again. Another benefactor, Gbenga Ojo, said he joined the group on Saturday with N1000 and cashed N8000 out that same Saturday. Mrs Odunayo, a government school teacher, said: "even though I didn't lose more than one thousand in MMM, I don't think I can do any other Ponzi." She said even if she would do, she would not invest more than a thousand Naira Meanwhile, Felicia Happy, a police officer, said she can never invest her hard earned money in any Ponzi scheme. The Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Benin Zonal Office, Saturday, arrested 13 suspected internet fraudsters during an early morning raid at Uromi, Edo State.In a statement released by the Commission on Sunday, the suspects, who are between the ages of 20 to 35 were smoked out from their hideout in a hotel at Uromi.Following the arrest, items recovered from them includes: 23 phones and three laptops were recovered from them. Three luxury cars, Lexus R330, C300 4 Matic and GLK 350 4 Matic were also recovered from them, Daily Post reports.

The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Ondo State chapter has described the rumour making the rounds that the state governor, Olawarotimi Akeredolu, is planning to dump the party for the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as a ruse.The Chapter described the governor as a progressive who will not mingle with any party aside the APC, the party, in a statement issued on Monday, attributed the alleged rumour to the ploy by those the party stated are not comfortable with the achievements of Akeredolu in the state.Following series of crisis rocking the state APC, particularly the anti-party activities of members of the party spearheaded by the governor during the recently-concluded general elections, with subsequent query, Akeredolu is said to be allegedly considering looking outside the APC's enclave for his second term ambition, Daily Post reports.Alex Kalejaye, the party's State Publicity Secretary, in a statement said; "The attention of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Ondo State has been drawn to a rumour making the rounds that the State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, is hobnobbing with the Peoples Democratic Party, with a view to defecting to that party ahead of the next governorship election.READ ALSO: INEC Job Is Too Tempting... Whenever I leave the house, she always removes our wedding frames and invites her boyfriend in, meanwhile she has a little girl called Treasure, that was her first daughter outside wedlock. Whenever I come home, the daughter tells me that her mummy removes the frame from the house and one brother comes. One day, she almost killed her daughter for exposing her, if not that I was around. After all the arguments, the parent begged, and so I let go until again, I caught her chatting with a man she was having an amorous affair with on Facebook. But what got me suspicious was that after she was 3 to 4 months pregnant, having terminated 2 previous pregnancies in the name of stress, she called her younger brother to fight and injure me in the house. I left and returned after she delivered on the 5th of September 2017, to see the child and so I demanded a DNA test which she and her parents refused. To my greatest surprise, I receive a call on Saturday 27th of April 2019, that she's getting married in her mother's house at Sapele road. I later found that she was getting married to my best man." Shola has since filed a suit in a magistrate court to seek redress in what he termed as breach of marital laws. He said, "That allegation is actually a two-way thing. We know people (directors, producers) who are guilty of such acts in the industry. They are a very irresponsible set of people. They believe that when these girls make names for themselves, they would only mingle with big men and forget the people who gave them their first opportunities. Because of this, such directors like to take their piece of the pie when they still have the opportunity. "Meanwhile, many of those girls offer themselves. When the girls learn that a director/producer is holding an audition, they would start visiting them to offer forbidden fruits, all in a bid to sway their judgments and get roles. Most of the girls who do that are those who aren't talented; so, the best they can do is to offer directors sex. And if the director/producer is gullible, he would fall into that trap. Those girls are very dangerous and they can go to any length to get what they want." Explaining how he deals with such situations of girls throwing themselves at him, Benson said, "The secret is God. For a natural man, it is going to be very difficult, and I have seen old men in their 50s who fell for such tricks. If you are disciplined, you would be able to overcome. Usman noted the special month for Muslims and anybody that practices Islam is Ramadan and during this period, they must all fast except the doctors certify you not fit to fast. The Sharia Police commander general told BBC that people eating in public during the Ramadan will be arrested except they can provide a proof of illness via a medical report from a doctor that exempts such persons from fasting. He went on to say that even with the exemption letter, the person will be warned not to repeat such before being released. "We do this kind of operation yearly and we will continue it this year. The aim is to get every Muslim to respect the month of Ramadan. Even if a doctor says you should not fast, that does not mean you should eat in public while others are fasting. So any Muslim that we apprehend eating outside, our men will arrest and bring the person to our office unless he can show proof that a doctor asked him not to fast," he said. In her Sunday sermon, the actress wrote on taking God at his word and also acting on the word of God as His word never fails. Read her sermon in full: Good morning beautiful people of God, Here's (ROR) *TAKE HIM AT HIS WORD.* *As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him (Psalm 18:30).* One of the things that you have to learn to do, as a Christian, is to take God at His Word and act on His Word. There're lots of Christians who probably have never been taught to do this. Many, somehow, have learnt to disbelieve God from the experience of their environment. We live in a world where we're exposed to all kinds of materials and information that tend to instil doubt, fear and unbelief. For example, when children grow up in an environment where people generally don't keep to their word, it affects their mentality. Imagine a society where politicians are known to make promises which they never keep; such an environment will breed people who find it difficult to trust, and believe anything. People have increasingly lost faith in words; words have increasingly lost meaning, because not many understand the integrity of words. But it's not so with God. His Word has integrity. His Word is infallible; you can stake your life on it. He said in Isaiah 55:10-11, *"For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."* It makes no difference the crisis you might be facing in life; trust, and act on the Word. Maybe it's a health situation; the Word guarantees your divine health. There's no need to cry and beg God for healing; He already gave you something better than healing—His life in you; Christ in you. That's your right and assurance for divine health. Romans 8:10 says, *"…if Christ is in you, although your body be dead because of sin, the Spirit gives it life because of righteousness."* Train your spirit to trust God and take Him at His word. Kola Ologbondiyan, the PDP spokesperson, PDP, in a statement, said it was "still consulting with its members-elect and no official position has been taken on the issue, particularly as the positions of presiding officers are not exclusive preserve of the ruling party or any other party for that matter, but a constitutional right of every elected lawmaker in their respective chambers," Daily Post reports. The statement reads: "Moreover, the PDP has an array of elected lawmakers, in both chambers, who are eminently qualified and equally popular among their colleagues, across the divide, to hold office as presiding officers of both chambers of the National Assembly, in line with Section 50 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended). "What is important to Nigerians is the emergence of a purposeful leadership that will ensure accountability and good governance in the polity.
