| Court verdict: Ondo APC Lawmaker'S Certificate Of Return Withdrawn By INEC Posted: 18 Jun 2019 09:09 AM PDT
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, following a judgement of the Ondo State High Court, has withdrawn the Certificate of Return issued to Mr. Sina Akinwumi, an All Progressives Congress, APC, lawmaker, who had earlier been declared the winner of the March 9, 2019, House of Assembly election, in Okitipupa constituency II.Mr. Akinwumi was sacked by the court last month on the grounds that he did not win the primary of the party. The court however declared James Ololade-Gbegudu of the same party as the winner the primary, held in October 2018, The Punch reports.Ololade-Gbegudu through his counsel, Mr Femi Emodamori, had approached the court, to seek an order to compel the party and INEC to recognize him as the authentic APC candidate for the constituency and not Sina Akinwunmi, having won the party's primaryelection.Following this development, the court ordered the electoral umpire to issue him ( Ololade-Gbegudu) the Certificate of Return as the duly elected representative of the constituency.Ololade-Gbegudu receiving the Certificate of Return, at the Commission's headquarters, Alagbaka-Akure, the INEC Chairman, Professor Yakubu Mahmood said a letter had been issued to Akinwumi to vacate the seat at House of Assembly with immediate effect while the Certificate of Return earlier issued to him had since been withdrawn.RELATED: JUST IN: Nigerians Have Been Warned Of Possible Civil War By Ohaneze Ndigbo Represented by the Resident Electoral Commissioner in Ondo State, Dr Akeju, Professor Mahmood disclosed that "The speaker and the clerk of the state House of Assembly have been ordered through a letter to comply with the judgement and swear in Gbegudu as a member of the Assembly." Commenting on the development, Ololade-Gbegudu, who expressed delight on the development, said the truth had prevailed after several months of injustice. The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and its Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, has been accused by the Vanguard for Democracy group, of working for the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.The Democracy group, in a statement on Tuesday by Nze Ugo-Akpe Onwuka, was reacting to the claim by INEC that it had no server for the 2019 presidential and other elections, Daily Post reports.According to the Group, "It is very disheartening and shameful that the INEC Chairman Mahmood Yakubu could stoop so low to deny the use of the INEC server in the collation and transmission of results for the 2019 elections, even though there was money appropriated for this in the budget his establishment submitted to the National Assembly, and funds for same released to INEC."An umpire who has decided to compromise, the INEC Chairman has rubbished his so-called professorship and has ridiculed such appellation."This is a very dangerous partisan posturing that has the ability to push the country into widespread chaos."We ask that the INEC Chairman resign immediately and that INEC ceases henceforth to act as an arm and agent of the ruling party APC. "After the elections, the opposition PDP came out with an assertion that the results on the INEC server was manipulated to favour the incumbent President. "How come all of a sudden the same INEC that did not counter the allegation by the APC against the opposition has turned round to say that no server was used for the 2019 elections? "With all the video evidences of the fact that INEC server was used in the election, we as citizens are shocked and traumatized to hear the man who should be impartial in his duties as an umpire, lie to the country that the server was not used for the election, but rather for experiment! "With such unfortunate and disastrous lie, it goes to say that the money spent on training staff and volunteers on how to transmit results to the INEC server seems to have been wasted because of one man's unfortunate and unequalled penchant for partisan and dangerous attachment to a government that is willing to maim and kill its citizens for electoral victory as seen and reported by local and international observers. "Posterity would surely remember this man as the one who wittingly twisted the mandate of the masses through a desperately fibbing tongue and a manipulative mind. "As the case continues at the election tribunal, the citizens are eagerly waiting and watching very closely to see what the judiciary that has also been intimidated into a willing tool in the hands of the executive will do." The lady who called out D'Prince, Rema's manager and Kriz Blac, stated that though her friends didn't have sex with them, however they cuddled and there was an agreement. She wrote; So this guy who calls himself a celebrity barber said I should come down to maitama so we could chill with Rema ,Dprince and their entire crew and I was like okays but am with 2 of my friends so I'll be coming with them and he was like yes their very much welcome on getting there at first it was chilled we were at Rema's managers room.  I can't even remember his name I think big Shaun or so then the next thing Dprince mavin walked in and this cris guy introduced him to us and yeah he chilled in the room for a bit the next thing he stepped out and we all went down shortly after that to take pictures with Rema after taking pictures we came back to Rema's managers room and the cris guy asked to step out for a min with one of my girlfriend's and he then told her Dprince said he likes her and wants her to come to his room my girl was sceptical at first but she later agreed we agreed normals on a pay for them cause one of them went with Rema's manager the other with Dprince and they actually didn't have s*x but they cuddled and shii yes my friends aren't prostitutes neither are they street hoes they know thier worth because your a celebrity doesn't mean they should throw themselves on you you literally kept asking to have my friend they are currently not having it and might not have the courage to call y'all out.  But I won't let this die down so easily after y'all spent the night with them I came to knock on the Dprinces door by 4:30 Am he asked who it was I told him it was me he opened I said I wanted to see my friend for a min he was like ummm .. and I said just a min and he let her come with me I then told her I was tired I wanted to go home and sleep cause I missed the comfort of my own home she was like I should give her 30 mins she will be out by 5am let her go talk to Dprince I waited for another 2 hours before going to knock again then my friend was fast asleep Dprince answered and hissed like I was becoming a pest he didn't open the door the second time so I went back to the room where my other friend and Rema's manager where staying got my bag and the cash we had on us used the money to.. He died on Friday, June 14th 2019. Nyscinfo.com gathered that the corper, until his death, graduated from the University of Jos, Plateau state in the department of Accounting.
