| Posted: 09 Jul 2019 11:30 PM PDT  If reports on social media are anything to go by, there was mild drama at the headquarters of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) after an Assistant Superintendent of Customs, Nura Dalhatu promoted himself to the rank of Deputy Comptroller-General and invaded the officer of the Comptroller-General Col. Hammed Ali, attempting to take over as the new boss "as directed by the president."  A spokesperson for Customs Joseph Attah told Guardian Nigeria that Dalhatu was questioned about his action and he replied in a manner indicating he is mentally challenged. Attah said: It was obvious that he was not in the right frame of mind from the question and the answer he gave. What happened was that, an Assistant Superintendent of Customs came to the office today wearing the rank of a Deputy Comptroller-General. From questions and answers that followed, it was obvious that he was not in the right frame of mind, so a Doctor was immediately invited. He is presently under going medical examination at the medical unit of the service. Attah however told Premium Times that Nigerians should dismiss social media rumours saying Dalhatu attempted to take over the position of Comptroller-General. The Coalition of Public Interests Lawyers and Advocates (COPA) have written the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, asking him to ensure justice is served in case involving Biodun Fatoyinbo, senior pastor, Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA). The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Pelumi Olajengbesi, convener of COPA, said in a statement on Monday, July 8, that the group is asking that the matter is not under the carpet. Olajengbesi also asked that the pastor should be tried in Lagos where the matter was reported. "Our demands are simply that the matter be allowed its due course within the jurisdiction where the complaint was filed," he said while calling on the police to take urgent action on the matter that had already in the public glare without giving rooms for doubt in their ability. The lawyer further called for the execution of a valid and active warrant of arrest against Fatoyinbo in order to restore the confidence of the ordinary Nigerians. The convener also said the coalition would diligently continue to monitor matters as they arise to ensure fairness and justice. Busola Dakolo filed a petition against Pastor Biodun on June 27, at the office of the Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of police in Alagbon, Ikoyi alleging that the clergy molested her. "His real name is Clifford Ishiaku, that's the name we knew him till we saw the story on social media that he is now a senator."Without much ado, Eunice Ojukwu spilled the details. Months after, she took ill and thereafter was treating a regular ailment, not knowing that she had been infected with HIV. |

"On her sick bed, she told me everything that happened, especially how she got to know that she was infected with HIV.
She told me that she later discovered that her husband was already infected but held that information from her while they were dating. Unknown to her, he was going for treatment and was still sleeping with her without protection.
"It was destroying her system gradually and that made her sick." Someone who observed the frequency of her illness had urged her to go for a general test. The Good Samaritan also paid for the test.
"This was how she found out that she was infected with HIV and that it was at a critical stage. When she confronted him with her result, instead of confessing, Senator Abbo battered my sister mercilessly."
At a point, their father had contacted Ohanaeze Ndi-Igbo in Mubi, begging them to bring back her daughter.
"The day she finally left in 2012, Senator Abbo followed her to the motor park and created a scene. He wanted to drag her back but my father pleaded with the driver to ensure that my sister boards the bus back to our village in Anambra."
Of her sister, she said: "She was a calm person who did not want to lose her marriage, so she kept the information to herself. There were several fights and when my sister calls me, I will plead with her to leave that man but she will refuse. She believed so much in that marriage until she was very sick. There was an instance where he battered her so much in their house in Abuja and dragged her out of the house naked. Anytime that he was beating her up, neighbours tried to intervene and he'd threaten them with a gun."
She gave an insight into how her sister met him.
"Eunice said that they started dating during her National Youth Service Corps days in Nasarawa in 2008. He had worked for so many known politicians in the north. He visited their orientation camp and they met and became friends. When our sister came up with the story of marriage, my family kicked against it.
My family was against the marriage because they were not in support of inter-tribal marriage. We do not know much about the northerner and their culture. When she died and I posted it on my Facebook wall, her friends doubted it because Senator Abbo did not say anything about it on his Facebook wall."
Saturday Sun wanted to know why she is coming out with the story now.
Eunice Ojukwu replied: "I want justice for my sister. In 2013, when my sister died, I posted it on Facebook and no one took it seriously. He was a nobody and I was the daughter of a nobody. Then social media was not as strong as it is now. All I want is justice, let no one be deceived by those tears, he is an evil man."
In a face-saving video circulate on social media, Abbo had apologized to Nigerians over his shameful action, cutting a figure of a remorseful man.
Ojukwu warned: "We are used to that his crocodile tears, whenever he comes begging. Nigerians should not be deceived."
Please fellow Nigerians, let us protest until this abusive, unfit leader faces justice for all his crimes.

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the 'Pepper Dem' housemates, who had their first house party of the season, could not give the party vibes fans sought through dancing and relating with each other.
Instead, they talked most of the time and seemed careful when it came to dancing with each other, leading fans to compare them with housemates from previous season.
Alex Unusual was the key past housemate of comparison as she was dubbed the 'dance queen of BBNaija' for her solid dance moves and ability to rally the other housemates to have fun during parties.
The reactions to the party; and reminiscing of Alex and other past housemates' time on the show have been trending on Twitter at number 3 up till the time of this report.

The veteran rapper made this known via his Gofundme page where he revealed that he was diagnosed with renal kidney failure back in July 2018. According to him, this has made him go through dialysis three times a week since it was discovered.
Biglo revealed how his life has been upside down since he was diagnosed with kidney failure; he has lost his job, car and even his house as a result of his predicament.
He went on to appeal to everyone to come to his aid so he can foot all his bills and get a kidney transplant in Indian. As at the time of publishing this article, 4,439 pounds have been raised out of the total 50,000 pounds needed for his treatment.
Biglo was known in the early 2000s for his hilarious rap energy which he brought to every son he made or featured. He worked with 2shotz and the famous StylPlus.
Earlier in 2019, we broke the news of another veteran rapper, Lord Of Ajasa who was down with an ailment and needed financial assistance to surgery.

When Biggie asked why he needed the flowers, Tuoyo responded saying it was a gentleman gesture to a female housemate, who he has developed strong feelings for.
Tuoyo's disclosure of his feelings for a female housemate - Diane, whom he's been having an intimate time with - has marked the beginning of romance in the BBNaija House 2019.
During his session with Biggie, Tuoyo also expressed his reservation for Ella, whom he said is a snitch.

Ex-housemate of BbNaija, Teddy A has taken on the role of an abusive lover in a new movie, 'The Gift'.
Speaking on the movie, Princewill said, "Basically, the increase in child abuse spurred me into making the movie. If you train or empower a girl child, you train or empower a generation but I feel when you empower children, you empower a generation. Our society today is breeding several abused children and this spurred me into making the movie. And the choice of the lead actor, Bam Bam was because of what I saw her do while in Big Brother Naija and it's no doubt that she gave a professional performance in the movie."
'The Gift' tells the story of a girl, who fell in love with her young teacher and was put in the family way. She survived the trauma of a young single parent with the help of her dad and got into a relationship with an abusive lover.

Teddy A and BamBam are playing the role of a couple in a troubled relationship. 'The Gift' makes it another movie featuring the BBNaija couple in it.
Speaking on her role, BamBam said, "Well, it was after Big Brother that I got the script while I was in Abuja. Thin Tall Tony actually introduced me to the director saying a friend of his had cast me for an emotional movie because of how emotional I was in the Big Brother Naija. So when I got the script, I read it and loved it. I felt it was a deep and emotional story and I was ready to shoot it."
The movie, which also features Paul Sambo, Lota Chukwu, Oge Okoye, Frankincense Eche-Ben, Precious Ijeoma, Diewait Ikpechukwu, and Ola Daniel is directed and produced by Emmanuel Princewill.

Organisers of the Africa Film Academy Awards has announced that a high profiled soiree ahead of the 2019 edition will hold in Ghana.
The announcement was made in a recent tweet by the AMAA's official Twitter handle, "The Africa Movie Academy Awards will be taking the magic to Ghana 🇬🇠this July. Let's celebrate the stars in grand style."
The 15th edition of the awards ceremony is billed to celebrate the best of Africa movie industry and will hold in Lagos, Nigeria.
Continuing, the organisers noted that the Ghana movie industry strives for excellence, hence the need to reward excellence. "The Ghana movie industry is one that is on the move towards excellence, the Africa Movie Academy Award is one that is set to reward excellence," organisers of AMAA tweeted.
Peace Anyiam Osigwe, the founder of AMA Awards has reiterated that the organisers are not in competition with any award organization saying AMAA has consistently rewarded excellence across Africa filmmaking industry for the last 15 years.
The Chief Executive Officer of AMAA stressed the achievements of the academy saying it has trained over 10,000 movie practitioners across Africa. She also said the academy engages movie practitioners by creating opportunities in the movie industries across Africa.
On AMAA's impact on the African movie industry, Peace said the academy has changed the face of the industry, especially in quality control since it berthed in the last 15 years.
Ahead of the 15th edition, organisers of AMAA kicked off programmes for the awards ceremony with a workshop and gala night on Thursday, May 23, 2019.
The Africa Film Academy Workshop held in Enugu with an attendance of over five hundred participants. The workshop achieved its aim which is to create a paradigm shift in the African film industry.
In attendance were Patience Ozokwor (Mama G), the Aneke Twins, Ofiafuluagwu Mbaka, Steve Ebo, Afam Okereke alongside rising stars from the various sectors of the industry, the well-attended workshop focused on key industry specialist areas that professionals should focus on to boost professionalism and increase investment.
Different facilitators at the workshop offered subject-matter expert view to enhance the creative output of the industry in general and professional credibility of practitioners from the ropes of movie-making to the value chains of funding and distribution.

Wendy Williams has apparently ended things with her rumoured 27 years old boyfriend and is dating a much older man.
The TV girl made this known while chatting with her audience during her show. Wendy revealed that it is true young men find her attractive but when it comes to actually loving someone, she would rather be with someone in his 50s.
"27-year-old boys quite frankly do find me attractive. But when it comes time for the comfort of a man, I need someone in their 50s too. And he's got to work. And, it doesn't' hurt that he's a doctor," she said.

Sources close to TMZ also reports that the two actually met in Los Angeles on Saturday, June 8, 2019, when Wendy was hanging out with Blac Chyna.
However, the report says though Wendy isn't ready to get back to a relationship, she doesn't find the idea of hanging out with the mysterious young man (Now identified as Marc Tomblin) bad.

Diamond Platnumz Kenyan girlfriend, is Tanasha Donna is about to welcome the singer's 4th child!
Tanasha is seven months pregnant, and is scheduled to welcome a baby boy in few less than 9weeks.
This exclusive news was disclosed, weekend, during a double birthday celebration of the singer's mother and his partner.
Speaking during the event, the Tanzanian singer said that Tanasha is seven months pregnant with the baby boy expected to arrive within the next two months.
"There is no need of hiding it anymore, she is now seven months pregnant and in two months our family will be bigger," said Diamond.
This will be Tanasha's first child and the Tanzanian singer's fourth. Diamond has three children, two with Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan and one with former Miss Tanzania Hamisa Mobetto.
