As part of the transaction, IROKO Ltd will also take full control of the JV IROKO+. The move comes as CANAL+ Group looks to strengthen its content production reach in Nigeria and across Africa. As part of the acquisition, ROK founder, Mary Njoku, will continue in a leadership role as Directeur General of ROK Productions SAS, and maintains a material shareholding in the company. ROK will produce thousands more hours of Nollywood content to deliver movies and original TV series for CANAL+ Group's audiences in FSA. | #AFCON2019: Nigerian man destroys his TV after Nigeria lost to Algeria Posted: 15 Jul 2019 05:31 AM PDT  A Nigerian man has destroyed his TV set last night after Nigeria crashed out of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations. The Super Eagles were defeated by Algeria's Desert Foxes 2-1 at the semi-final match which held at the Cairo International stadium yesterday Sunday July 14th. The Nigerian man who had a N700k bet with is friends before the match, destroyed his TV in anger after the Super Eagles lost a minute before the close of the match.  Twitter user @Cyoung4real007 who shared photos online, wrote "My guy just destroyed his TV because he lost his 700k bet. Watching Super eagles (chicken) is not easy". The Super Eagles will now play for third place against Tunisia on Wednesday July 17th.  | ||

Princess whose real names are Princess Linda Onyejekwe, wrote an open letter to the housemates, warning them to stay off negative vibes. She wrote: "Dear newly evicted housemates. I just wanna say this to you. As someone that had the experience of being evicted early/first in biggies game. .Be sure that you will feel sad , angry…if not immediately, soon. You will wonder why you were evicted,what happened to all the people "that said they GAT YOU"….oh well now you have seen for yourself. Dont spend too much time regretting,wishing..the urge will come. But you need to move past it as soon as you can. .Surround yourself with positive people ONLY. Cut off any friend,family member that calls you to tell you only the things you did wrong in the house. You dont need that now…it will weigh you down greatly. .Pls write down all the things you wanted to do before you entered the house. U must do this quickly and alone. Now, Jackye's social media handler and boyfriend, Lami has called out Ebuka and also revealed that 'he woke up to a lot of death threats in Jacky's inbox all because of how she was put on the spot by Ebuka'. Kaffy and Jackye bonded like sisters and I expected Kaffy to have taken a stand for Jackye on how the conversation started but it's a game therefore there would be all sorts of betrayal and inner plans. I am sure people who know Jackye personally know what she truly stand for, integrity and truth. Come to think of it why didn't WEuka call out Efe when he called Tboss a witch and why didn't he caution Cee'c when she thrash talked at Tobi? I may not be politically correct with this but in my opinion it was a wrong move from Ebuka who is suppose to be a professional, abi am you dey add the #pepperdem now not the housemates themselves. Out of all the beautiful convos she has had in the house, he never asked her why her mood was dull and all rather chose to spotlight a conversation that will sharpen narrative towards the person he may be rooting for. To Ebuka, I don't know you, I have never met you but please don't use your own to pour sand sand inside Jackye's garri and now that you've used yours to attract death threats for her while she's in the house, I hope you're happy right. Let it be clear that Jackye never called Tacha a witch and we are very proud she never denied the conversation too rather she took the entire shame and chinned up like a sting lady should. Jackye may not have responded to the question rightly on the spot because she probably didn't want to put blames on anyone when things go wrong and her name is mentioned but I am sure she'd learn from this event and make proper adjustment hopefully. Algeria defeated Super Eagles 2-1 to advance to the finals of the competition. The Desert Foxes took the lead in the first half, thanks to a William Troost-Ekong's own goal. The Super Eagles levelled in the second half, after a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) decision, with Odion Ighalo stroking home the penalty. Read the full story below: "Let me tell y'all a lil story and how dangerous this generator fume is. I went to visit my friend at her place in Oniru, decided to pass the night. Power went off at 12midnight or so and she went to put the gen on. And we slept off, I woke up about 1 or 1: 30 am… "I opened my eyes but I couldn't move, I couldn't even raise a finger, we both had inhaled the fume for long, I could barely see anything cos the house was covered in 💨 . And I started praying in my heart, the blood of Jesus saves us, save us. Suddenly I started coughing and could… "Move my head, looked at the sitting room and saw my friend on the floor, she already passed out, how she got there I didn't know. That was when I used all the strength in me to get up the bed, with a terrible headache, my bones were weak, I slowly walked to the door and opened. "Managed to put off the generator that was just in front of the door and started throwing up. Went back into the house that was very dark and started kicking things until I felt my friend's leg and I started pulling her out of the house still throwing up. We eventually came out "My breathing was slow, my bones were weak, couldn't talk or explain to the few neighbors who came to where we laid, just in front of the house on the ground. The neighbors started pouring water on us, and some in typical Naija fashion were praying. All of a sudden my friend. "Started breathing and throwing up too. Long story short, we survived and left the house that morning. If we had stayed in the house for longer hmm God forbid. So when I hear a family of 5, 6, etc died from generator fume, I know what could have happened. "Pls, move ur generator far far away from the house u sleep. These generators are dangerous.
