The five-man panel of justices led by Justice Inyang Okoro, dismissed the suit for lack of jurisdiction. The Federal High Court in Abuja had in April declared Ned Nwokwo as the true candidate of the PDP for the February 23, 2019 National Assembly election. However on April 3rd, the Court of Appeal in Abuja reversed the High court's ruling which sacked Senator Nwaoboshi as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Delta North Senatorial seat. Unsatisfied by the judgement from the Court of Appeal, Nwoko filed a motion at the Supreme Court to challenge the decision of the Appeal Court, but has now lost the case. The CEO, who is ex-husband to popular Nollywood actress, Lilian Esoro, granted an interview to Daddy Freeze on Tuesday during which he cleared the allegations.  He said, "I never for one day asked Tboss out. "I have never done anything with her. In fact, I don't even know where she lives. "I have never in my life gone to her house, you can ask her. Senator Kalu, who is the Chief Whip of the Senate, had, while addressing journalists on Saturday, said, "I have known him (Buhari) now for 32 years; he and former military President (Ibrahim) Babangida. "He has not changed. Think of it… a man that ruled Nigeria as military head of state and has no house in Abuja or Lagos. He does not have a house in Port Harcourt or Ibadan. "If you go to his house in Daura, it is the same house, the same small house he built long ago. "The television I saw there when I went there last year for Sallah – that television must have been bought in 1973." A report by The PUNCH shows that Kalu's claims are not completely true, as the President has five properties located variously in Kaduna, Katsina, Kano, Port Harcourt and Abuja. In a statement signed by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, on September 3, 2015, the Presidency gave some details of what Buhari declared in his asset declaration form which was submitted to the Code of Conduct Bureau. The statement reads in part, "The (CCB) documents also revealed that President Buhari had a total of five homes, and two mud houses in Daura. "He had two homes in Kaduna, one each in Kano, Daura (Katsina State) and in Abuja. "One of the mud houses in Daura was inherited from his late older sister, another from his late father. "He borrowed money from the old Barclays Bank to build two of his homes. "President Buhari also has two undeveloped plots of land, one in Kano and the other in Port Harcourt. He is still trying to trace the location of the Port Harcourt land. "In addition to the homes in Daura, he has farms, an orchard and a ranch. "The total number of his holdings in the farm include 270 heads of cattle, 25 sheep, five horses, a variety of birds and a number of economic trees. "The documents also showed that the retired General uses a number of cars, two of which he bought from his savings and the others supplied to him by the Federal Government in his capacity as former Head of State. "The rest were donated to him by well-wishers after his jeep was damaged in a Boko Haram bomb attack on his convoy in July 2014."  | ||

Otedola had issued him a cheque of $50,000 ahead of the medical trip. When he visited the billionaire upon his return to the country, Chukwu said after God, Otedola is the next person in his life. | Pastor Tunde Bakare urge church goers to hold their pastors if their prophecies don’t come true Posted: 16 Jul 2019 02:30 AM PDT The Serving Overseer of the Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare, says many Nigerian pastors get away with fake prophecies because their members fail to challenge them when the prophecies don't come true.  Bakare said this on Sunday during a church service at the Latter Rain Assembly in Lagos, televised on ChannelsTV. He said materialism had been masquerading as prosperity in the churches, lamenting that materialism had eaten deep into the soul of the church. He said, "People don't know the difference between materialism and prosperity. Men become so materialistic that the size of their accounts and the number of their congregation give them a platform, whether God is with them or not, whether Satan is the one doing mahuru, mahuru. "Ask anybody in a church what is a success. Tell me the truth. Fame, power, prestiges, money, are what we consider success. From God's perspective, that is zero because you can get those from Satan and he would waste your life in no time." While rebuking pastors for merchandising the "anointing of God," the cleric recalled a story of the mother-in-law of one of his friends. He said, "I remember the story of a friend, the mother-in-law was part of a church of a pastor (I won't mention name). The man was preaching a hot message that the Lord just said to him that if anyone would give one million naira to the church, in one month, he or she would get N10m back. He said if you don't get it, come back for your money. "The woman took him (the pastor) seriously. She went and gathered all that she had and brought it to the pastor and said, 'Pastor, here is my one million. I believe in you and I believe in the prophecy.' But she was smart. She started counting the days from the moment she dropped the donation. By the end of the month when she did not get the 10 million the pastor prophesied, she visited the pastor to demand her money.
