Nigerian singer Naira Marley was scheduled to play at the nightspot, according to a report by Dublin Live. A number of other acts and DJs were also part of the line-up on the night. The incident unfolded at Lost Lane just off Grafton Street before Marley took to the stage to perform. "A video seen by Dublin Live shows up to 30 young men running out of the premises in the early hours of Sunday morning, with revellers of the adjoining pub looking on in confusion. "The scene remained closed off to the public this morning, and gardai have since confirmed that a number of weapons have been seized and a man in his 20s arrested in connection with the incident", Dublin Live reported. An assortment of weapons including hatchets, knives and petrol bombs were found when the gang dispersed. The incident occurred outside the Lost Lane venue, formerly Lillies Bordello, off Grafton Street in the south inner city shortly after 1am on Sunday. Police believe the incident was connected with the Longitude Festival as a number of people who were at Longitude festival in Marlay Park, Rathfarham had gone to Lost Lane to continue socialising. Gardaí further suspect the men who tried to rush the door of the venue had also been at the festival. "Gardaí are treating the serious fracas as a spill over incident from Longitude. If the weapons found stashed around the Grafton Street area were linked to the men who tried to rush the door at Lost Lane, gardaí say that would confirm their suspicions the attempted gang attack was pre-planned", the Irish Times reported. Before the three-day Longitude festival began last Friday, the US Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs tweeted a security alert about the event aimed at US citizens in Ireland. "Reports indicate a potential for violence at the Longitude Festival taking place from July 5-7 in Marlay Park," it said. A security guard working at Lost Lane was injured and one man was arrested. However, gardaí believe significant violence was averted by the arrival of members of the force on the scene immediately as the trouble flared. Boyce's death was confirmed to ABC News by his family Saturday night. The cause of death was announced as due to "an ongoing medical condition." "It is with a profoundly heavy heart that we report that this morning we lost Cameron," a spokesperson said on behalf of the Boyce family. "He passed away in his sleep due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated. The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him. "We are utterly heartbroken and ask for privacy during this immensely difficult time as we grieve the loss of our precious son and brother." According to ABC News, the young actor had dedicated himself to charity work in recent years, introducing former Vice President Joe Biden at his Biden Courage Awards in March, and he was honoured with the Pioneering Spirit Award at last year's Thirst Gala, sponsored by the Thirst Project, a nonprofit for which Boyce raised $30,000 to build wells for clean drinking water in Swaziland. Boyce, who was from Los Angeles, made his acting debut in the horror film "Mirrors" at just nine years old. Two years later, he appeared in the blockbuster Adam Sandler flick, "Grown Ups," as one of Sandler's children. He first achieved stardom as one of the leads in the Disney channel show, "Jessie." He starred as Luke Ross alongside the eponymous Jessie Prescott, played by Debby Ryan. "Jessie" ran for four seasons and 98 episodes. Boyce's role in the "Descendants" films, which led cable TV film ratings in 2015 and 2017, catapulted him to even greater heights. "From a young age, Cameron Boyce dreamed of sharing his extraordinary artistic talents with the world. | Man butchers call girl in Festac Town, Lagos(VIDEO) Posted: 08 Jul 2019 05:40 PM PDT Residents of Corporation Estate, Mile 2, Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State are in rude shock, following the brutal murder of a young lady at the estate on Monday night allegedly by one of the residents.  The man, whose name is not known to any of the residents, allegedly butchered a young lady in his apartment at No 55 A, Corporation Estate, Mile 2, on Monday night. When our reporter visited the estate, yesterday morning, residents were seen in groups discussing the incident. The security man, who manned the security post on the fateful day, told our reporter that the young man had only lived in the estate for just three weeks. He said: "At about 11:45pm on Monday, July 1, an occupant of Block 55A, Corporation Estate, Mile 2, Lagos, came in with a young lady. There is no restricted time for residents to come in or go out, so we opened the gate for them. Within a couple of hours, he was accompanied to this gate by some residents, including his neighbour. They said somebody was shouting inside the man's house and since they don't share the same apartment with him, they came out to know what was happening. As they came out, they saw the man coming out of his apartment. They asked him if he was with anybody in his apartment but he denied. They asked him where he was headed to at that time of the night, he said he was going out to buy something. They were not satisfied with his answer, so they followed him to the gate." According to the security man, when residents got to the security post, they asked them not to allow the man out of the gate and demanded to know why they opened the gate for him. "At that point, they asked us if we knew him. We said we know him. They asked us if he came in with anybody and we told them that he came in with a lady. Meanwhile, he had earlier denied that anybody was with him in his apartment. So, at that point, they forced him back to his house. On getting to his house, there was blood everywhere, and further search revealed the body of a young lady under the staircase. He had already butchered her and she was dead. No part of the body was removed at that point. We raised alarm and members of the estate, including the residents associations chairman, all came out. They contacted policemen from the Festac Division, who promptly came and took the man away. He is still at the Festac police station waiting to be transferred to Panti. The lady's corpse is still in his apartment, with some policemen guarding the place," he stated. Another security man added that the apartment belongs to the suspect's brother, who traveled out of the country. The suspect, according to the security man, said he picked the victim from a drinking joint around the Apple Junction. The suspect told residents who gathered that fateful night that he was contracted to do the job by a certain man at Mile 2. "PB and his wife are saying that they have to fight back," a source who works in the Pastor's office and who wishes to remain anonymous said to us yesterday. "They feel abandoned by their mentors, and that there is no other way out, and they have decided to attack all the girls. "He is also reconsidering his stepping down because there were no protests in the church yesterday, because they feel the issue is dying down. I don't know what they plan to say when Freeze does the interview. They have not told anybody." This statement refers to the responses that have poured in over the last week, with Funke Felix-Adejumo, Laurie Idahosa, Poju Oyemade and Enoch Adeboye all weighing in on the current situation and Oyemade suggesting Fatoyinbo's decision to take a leave of absence was influenced by his spiritual mentors. There is evidence to suggest that at least subtly, Fatoyinbo isn't waiting for an interview to try out some spin. Journalist Eromo Egbejule was the first to break the news that the first family at Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, Biodun and Modele Fatoyinbo are allegedly taking measures to discredit victims who come forward to speak about their interactions with the pastor and talk about the alleged criminal actions that were perpetrated against them. On Sunday, unconfirmed photographs surfaced of church members posing before cardboard posters of the pastor and his wife as well as videos of young COZA members releasing videos on social media in support of the troubled pastor. A COZA member stands before posters of her pastors. We cannot determine which of the branches this was taken. Egbejule's prediction was preceded by the unexpected move by beloved digital media platform Ndani TV to cancel its most recent web series Oga Pastor! and remove all released episodes from Youtube. The show had high profile actress Ini Dima Okojie as the lead was driven by a plot that began to eerily mirror the proceedings of the story lines in the accusations against Fatoyinbo. Ndani TV is yet to release a statement explaining this move and petitions demanding an answer and spawning conspiracies theories have run the spectrum from fansites like BattlegroundFanPage to powerful media houses like BellaNaija. What the internet seems to agree on, that the action is directly related to the COZA investigation. We can also confirm that apart from the Busola Dakolo petition signed against Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, there are currently 10 other cases that the Nigerian Police is currently investigating that either allege the pastor misused his position of influence or sexually assaulted women. Our source suggests that the legal team at COZA is doing its best to suppress news of these investigations reaching the media and swaying public perceptions. Our source, who works in entertainment suggests that DaddyFreeze's long history of conflict with Timi Dakolo factored heavily in why he was being shopped to interview Pastor Fatoyinbo. Freeze and Dakolo have had a series of ideological conflicts starting in 2017 ; though when the latter went public in 2019 with his first accusation of Fatoyinbo, Freeze was quick to support his cause publicly. Whenever a victim comes forward, a smear campaign follows to discredit the victim alleging physical assault or rape. It happened with Timi Dakolo in 2018, and in 2019 before Busola Dakolo's interview. There was also the unconfirmed 'unveiling' of YNaija's second interviewee by self professed journalist, Kemi Olunloyo who had requested to remain anonymous, who has started what she calls an #IJCOZA investigation into the allegations against the pastor. The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) and the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) are currently investigating the allegations on their own end. A source close to DaddyFreeze however notes that DaddyFreeze hasn't yet left for the interview: "They contacted him, but he hasn't travelled yet. They haven't gotten back to him again, since the first two calls." We do not know if the Fatoyinbo's will go through with the interview, or settle on DaddyFreeze; but what is certain is that Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo is long overdue an opportunity to tell his own side of the story. The veteran actor revealed that he has never been prouder of being Nigerian than he is now because this week has been a harvest of protests that have brought positive results. He added that if after all these years he is still afraid to speak the truth irrespective of whose ox is gored, then he has failed, RMD admitted stumbling, falling, taking wrong turns, making dreadful mistakes and errors. He however stated that it has been 58 years of God's consistent grace and mercies. Revealing that she has always loved the Cherubim & Seraphim church, Naomi Ogunwusi said the people who claimed she preached like a member of the church when she started off at a tender age, worked to bring her down. "When I began preaching at a tender age, it was strange to the church I worshipped. They said I preached like the people from C&S. I thank you for bringing me here today because I have always wanted to be identified with the people they say I preach like. I love the church so much and I will always speak for you anywhere" she said.
