Finance Industry Meetup

Interested in finance, insurance, or banking? Attend this event on Friday, September 27th from 11am to 1pm at the University Career Center & The President's Promise (3100 Hornbake Library, South Wing, 3rd Floor) to meet employers looking to hire UMD students for internship or full-time roles.

Employers from different parts of the finance industry will be represented, and if you can attend at 11 a.m., you will hear elevator pitches from the full range of firms. Starting at 11:30 a.m. employers' reps will be available for conversations. Students majoring in Economics are especially encouraged to attend.

Please bring several copies of your resume to share with employers of interest. Attire: Business casual.

The Real Estate Club (REC) invites students to their Guest Speaker Series!

Former REC presidents Aaron Nadler and Avani Katta will be presenting. Aaron is currently a government investor services associate at JLL and Avani is a financial analyst at JBG Smith. They will be discussing their transition from college into their job, how to enter the real estate industry, and giving out general tips.

The Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) is a temporary organization enacted to ensure accountability during the U.S. government's involvement in the reconstruction of Afghanistan. SIGAR has a highly specialized mission to provide independent and objective oversight of Afghanistan reconstruction to both the Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of State. They are focused on promoting economy, efficiency, and effectiveness and preventing and detecting fraud, waste, and abuse of U.S. taxpayer funds.

Current Recruitment
All eligible applicants must be-
(a) U.S. citizens;
(b) Able to obtain and maintain a security clearance;
(c) Able to obtain and maintain a medical clearance; and
(d) Willing to accept temporary duty (TDY) assignments or deploy to Afghanistan.
