Here is how to start a conversation with a girl you like

This is how to not only leave a good impression on the girl after the first conversation, but to also win her over right there and then!

Whatever will happen between the both of you is heavily dependent on that first conversation and the impression you leave on her.

Because first impressions matter a lot, here are five ways to talk to a girl for the first time and leave a good impression on her:

Timing is very key

This is the biggest thing you cannot afford to mess up. There is not much you can get right if your timing is poor.

The chances that she'll even be patient enough to listen to you is cut in half if she's in a bad mood when you approach her. Same thing goes for when she with a group of friends, or when she's with a large group of friends, or when she's in the middle of something else.

You'll need to do a lot more to get her conversing with you normally and you don't want to put yourself through this stress and the increased possibility of failure.

So pay attention to timing. This in a way decides her attention span and of course, it could enhance or disrupt your flow.

Project confidence

Project this as powerfully as possible without crossing to haughtiness. You can be confident without being disrespectful or condescending, and this is what you should always work towards.

Maintain eye contact with her. This is not negotiable. Don't mumble or sound too hurried with your words, so they won't sound rehearsed. Approaching someone for the first time is nerve-wracking in most instances but it must be done if you are to get the girl and with confidence, you're already on your way there.

Compliment her skillfully

Talking to the girl for the first time is pretty much what you say, and how you say it.

So, having built the right level of confidence, the next thing is to use it wisely and one of the ways this will be useful is when you are complimenting the girl.

Don't ever leave out compliments when talking to a girl for the first time. Be careful, however, to leave out the cheesy ones and stick to genuine compliments. Say something nice about what you can see on her right there and then.

Her eyes, the weave she has on, her smile, her shoes… it could be anything. Just make sure it's genuine and not over-the-top. Women can sense and distinguish compliments from flattery and could become uncomfortable if you're being overly flattering.

Open-ended questions

So as not to overdo the compliments, you'll need to quickly move away from there to something else. This is where your ability to actually engage her in a conversation comes into play. You want to make her talk, so ask her questions that will enable her do so.

Instead of saying "so, have anything fun planned for the break?" (which can be answered with a short "yes" or "no"), say "what are you going to do to keep busy while school is out?"

A question that requires a detailed response is always better to keep a conversation flowing as opposed to one that can be answered with a short yes or no.

Don't overstay your welcome

No matter how interesting the conversation gets, learn to leave while things are still fun. Don't overdo the conversation to the point of awkwardness or void silence.

By leaving before the conversation dies down, you give yourself a higher chance of getting her number, getting her to say yes to a date with you and being able to hit her up next time because she'll associate you more with fun than with boredom.

And right there is the potential beginning of all things romantic between you and her.

HIV Positive man allegedly freed by police after raping a 14-year-old girl

A 75-year-old HIV positive man identified as Chief Shedrack Ejinwa, has allegedly been freed by the police following the payment of N370K settlement after his arrest for raping a 14-year-old girl.

The teenager who was placed under medication at Kendox Medical Services in Port Harcourt, Rivers State was allegedly told by wife of the owner of the medical facility not to tell anyone what transpired between them.

However after activist Harrison Gwamnishu got the HIV positive rapist and the wife of the hospital's medical director arrested upon being briefed about the rape act by a Facebook user, they were allegedly freed by the police following a N370K settlement proposal by the family of the rapist.

The 14-year-old girl reportedly said she was forced to give in to settlement.

Counselor Lutterodt advises married men to impregnate their maid

Controversial Ghanaian marriage and relationship counselor known as Counselor Lutterodt has once again proved that he is the king of controversies by advising married men to impregnate their maids if their wives can't conceive.

According to Counselor Lutterodt, there is nothing wrong if a married man gets his maid pregnant because his wife is infertile or barren.

He stated that married men not be criticized when they make such a bold decision to impregnate their maids because their wives can't have children.

Counselor Lutterodt also added that if the wife is not fulfilling the duties of a wife and also has a bad character, there is nothing wrong if the man goes in for the maid.

According to the controversial counselor, every man wants a peaceful home so its a step in the right direction if a man falls in love with his maid because his wife is not giving him that peace every man needs.

"If a wife is not exhibiting a good character and the maid is doing such, then what makes it wrong for the husband to make a move by going for the maid.

Every man wants peace and so if your wife is not giving you that, and your maid is, then there is nothing wrong with you going in for her", Counselor Lutterodt added.

Man uses his last cash to rescue a trader left to die in Lagos

A good samaritan narrated his experience of saving a petty stock trader… According to him, a banana seller was lifeless besides her goods and people were passing her by.

He took her to the hospital and he used his last money to ensure she got adequate treatment.

I went to get something for my daughter of 4 at the market yesterday in Ikotun. I noticed a woman selling bananas had collapsed. Nobody went near her. They just stood and looked. I went near her and noticed her eyes wear lifeless.Her temperature was high. I had to quickly rush

Her to the hospital. Doctor says she was very sick and had to be admitted. I paid the deposit with the little on me and left her. Will be going back to check her today. I and my daughter drank Garri to sleep but I am happy knowing I helped a soul.

Kemi Adetiba Hints Fans At Making “King Of Boys” 2

10 months after the premiere of Kemi Adetiba's groundbreaking thriller, 'King Of Boys,' she has hinted plans to shoot a second phase.

In a tweet on Monday, August 26, 2019, Adetiba tweeted about her efforts at making another phase of the film.

However, the filmmaker refused to clarify if the intended 'King Of Boys 2' will be a prequel or sequel to the first franchise.

"So, finally tackled the scene where Makanaki and Odogwu Malay meet (read as confront) each other for the first time in KOB 2… And.." she tweeted.

The tweet got fans of the film and the filmmaker expressing opinions on what shape the script should take.

Adetiba was quick to inform fans that she's afraid to share the script with anyone including the actors saying she might need to have the crew and cast sign the non-disclosure form.

"I'm even afraid to share the script with ANYONE at this point. Even folks that NEED to read it. But, as I've mentioned before, even if you manage to get your hands on a script, NO script will have the final scene. And we will shoot 3 alternate endings…Cos I don't trust y'all😏

"Hmmmmmmmm… With the way y'all are acting, I definitely will need a lockdown on the KOB 2 set, with everyone signing airtight NDAS."

She also dropped hint on how she intends to conclude the story, which has had several Nigerians in and outside Nigeria talking.

"I just figured out how I want KOB 2 to end," she tweeted. She went on to say, "Damn near at the end of the script and the ONLY thing that had us stomped was a fitting ending. Now we got it!!! However… It's so good, we'll have to keep it secret and out of the official script even given to the actors".

The filmmaker broke all her record, which was set by 'The Wedding Party 1'.

Adetiba's 'King Of Boys' grossed over N100 million after maintaining number one spot in cinemas for seven weeks and emerged the 4th highest-grossing Nollywood film of all time.

R.Kelly was sent to solitary confinement by the court to prevent him from possible attack from other inmates in Gen. pop but it appears he has lost his fears.

According to American Entertainment media organization, TMZ, the American music star is pleading with the judge to release him from solitary confinement and allow him join the rest of the inmates in general population in jail.


The judge however is sceptical about granting R.Kelly's request as putting him never was intended for punishment but rather for his own safety. The judge believes as a celebrity that R.Kelly is and considering the fact that he is being tried for preying on young girls, he would be an easy target if put in the general population.

R.Kelly's lawyer meanwhile feels he is actually being punished and the reason for it is because he is a celebrity. But he hopes to have a breakthrough in getting R.Kelly to the general population very soon.

Ubi Franklin celebrated his daughter, Zaneta on her birthday today August 30 with some very deep words.



The music label boss poured out anguish on the 'gram on his emotions while having to live with three women, which excludes his fourth babymama  Sandra.

He opened up on how he hustled and worked hard to be a great dad while also stating that he won't wish his enemy to be in his shoes because he has to live with emotions of three different women.

Sharing a beautiful photo of his daughter in celebration of her fourth birthday, he stated that Zaneta's mother deserves a medal for playing her role as a mother and also some of his as a father.

Ubi further revealed that he is still searching for the best formula of being a good father as he wouldn't wish his enemy his current state of living with the emotions of three women.

Last four year has been about your mum and she really deserves an award for everything she has been doing and if we have to share responsibility she has done 50% of mine and adding to 100% she brings to the table.

Ubi Franklin prayed that his daughter becomes a better woman and also play the role of a big sister to her brothers perfectly. He also revealed that she took his trait of not liking food.

"My daughter you will become a better woman from the way you talk and how energetic you are I have no doubt you will make a big sister to your brothers and will always make me proud in everything in life.
You will excel in your academics, and when you grow old enough to read this, one thing is important and that is people will always want to confine you to live a certain way while covering their own sin to make your look so bad.

Everyone reading this has something they are hiding and will sit on social media to troll others and that's the sad world we live in now where we cover up our own and talk about others.

One thing you took form me is, we don't like food .
Your emotions grew right alongside of you this year. While they are big and overwhelming at times, they are letting us get an even bigger sneak peek into the person you are" he added.

Big brother Naija, BBNaija housemate, Ike on Wednesday revealed real reason he saved fellow housemate Omashola from possible eviction this week.
