Mikel and girlfriend set to split over

There is trouble in paradise for Mikel John Obi and his girlfriend, Olga Dyachenko, following her decision to dump him, Brila reports.


The former Super Eagles captain moved to Trabzonspor in Turkey last month but the decision is seemingly not going well with Olga who has now reportedly told the Nigerian that she will no longer allow him to see the children should he remain in Trabzon.

A very close source to the family who revealed this much to AOIFootball.com, stated categorically that the situation could go really sour after Olga told Mikel that she will no longer come to Turkey with the children.

"I can confirm to you that all is not seemingly fine with them. Olga doesn't like the city and has taken the children back to their base. In fact, she warned him against the move to Turkey but he convinced her about it. .

Now she came visiting and doesn't like it; the kids do not also like it there in Turkey which could now be a problem for Mikel. .

Olga has told Mikel that she won't return to visit him again which means he won't also see the kids, leaving Mikel with only the chance of seeing his family in December during the Christmas break, a decision which I understand has left him sad, and may unsettle him" the source revealed.
The development becomes a worry for the 32-year-old who also struggled to see his family during his time with Chinese club Tianjin Teda and having to fly for hours back to England to see his daughters.
The source also expressed fears it may see him struggle in the Turkish league because of his unhappy mood following this development.

It is left to see if Mikel will like to see out his contract with the club.

The midfielder is however expected to be in action later Thursday night when Trabzonspor welcome AEK Athens in the Europa League, holding a 3-1 advantage in their quest to reach the group stages.

Teddy A took to twitter to blast popular blogger SDK over her inquisition to his affairs. Remember LIB reported he was getting married today; she place a call to him to confirm and that infuriated him.

"A popular blogger called me at about 9am this morning talking bout she wants to verify a story. Aunty how did you get my number? Why you dey disturb my sleep? I got no issues with all that but don't call my line asking other foolish questions expecting me not to blast you."

SDK saw the post and replied back via her Instagram. She wrote;

Today around 10am German time I put a call across to this man who is supposedly a reality star. I needed to do a story and wanted to confirm since I could not get his other half on the phone.

When he picked my call,the first thing I asked was if he could talk and he said Yes. I went on to ask him my question and he laughed and asked me if he was supposed to answer my dumb question. Note that i did not take offense. I told him it's my Job as a journalist to verify stories and then he told me what I wanted to know after insulting all bloggers for writing that his intro to marry @bammybestowed was today.

Same reason I called to verify before I fall into doing a story that was false. he was so nice and I even complimented that he sound nice and then he began to yarn trash all of a sudden and I told him it took me a while to get his number cos everyone told me how nasty he was to people on the phone. I thanked him and cut the phone and moved on. I didn't call him out Co's I don't do nasty. then I was told he had called out a popular blogger on Twitter and I went to check and it was me he referred to but was not on point …..

What a shame to want to go down this shameful route becos you feel I called u too early @iamteddyaYou could have told me you were not able to talk and I would have cut the call. I have nothing more to say to you. If you feel that I called you too early then please forgive me, I thought since it was a week day,serious people would be out working and not still in bed. Please forgive me.

Nigerians react to invasion of Bobrisky’s party by Nigerian Police

The Nigeria police has come under attack over the closure of the venue of the birthday party of Popular Nigerian cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye popularly known as Bobrisky.

We reported earlier that the Nigeria police raided a nude party organised by Bobrisky in Lekki area of Lagos State.

Bobrisky put up the party in celebration of his 28th birthday, but it was disrupted by the Nigeria Police, who invaded the place and dispersed guests.

The cross-dresser, who recently revealed that he has cut off his penis left the event centre before the police stormed the place.

However, the action of the Nigeria police has stirred reactions from Nigerians on social media who have described the move against Bobrisky as a misplaced action.


Some Nigerians lamented the myriad of problems in the country yet to be addressed by the police, saying it was a misplaced priority to have mobilized many officers against Bobrisky who is not a national threat.

Popular Nigerian cross-dresser and socialite, Bobrisky, on Saturday, went into hiding when the Nigerian policemen stormed his 28th birthday celebration venue, in lekki, lagos, Vanguard reports.

While it appeared Bobrisky was nowhere to found, The policemen shut down the venue of the birthday celebration.


Nollywoodtimes recall, that the Otyunba Runsewe, the DG of Nigerian Culture and Tourism had in recently criticised what he termed has Bobrisky disgraceful act.

According to the details, the officers literally stormed the venue, arrested some folks and chased away bouncers who were supposed to be the security at Lekki venue.

The authorities of Nigerian Army has revealed that three soldiers have paid the supreme price while eight others sustained injuries following an encounter with Boko Haram terrorists that resulted in neutralizing many of them.

Colonel Sagir Musa, the Acting Director, Army Public Relations, made this revelation in a statement issued on Sunday titled: 'TROOPS DEALT DECISIVE BLOW ON BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS', Daily Post reports.

"Troops of Sector 3, Operation LAFIYA DOLE attached to Super Camp Monguno on Friday 30th August 2019 while on patrol dealt a devastating blow on Boko Haram terrorists along Monguno-Mairari-Gajiram axis.

"The patrol team came in contact with the terrorists and engaged them with heavy volume of fire that neutralized countless number while a few escaped with gun shot wounds going by blood trails in the general area", Musa stated.

According to the Army Spokesman, the gallant troops also recovered some weapons and equipment from the terrorists.

"Sadly, during the encounter 3 of our gallant soldiers paid the supreme price while 8 other soldiers sustained injuries.

"The bodies of the fallen heroes and those that sustained injuries have since been evacuated", he disclosed

Musa also noted that, the wounded soldiers are being treated and are in stable condition, while the highly motivated troops have continued combing the general area with a view to clearing remnants of hiding terrorists.

"The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General TY Buratai, along with some Principal Staff Officers from the Army Headquarters, Theatre Commander, Operation LAFIYA DOLE and other Commanders, have visited the troops and those wounded in action", he added.

Governor Nyesom Wike's spokesperson, Simeon Nwakaudu, has lambasted the Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje over plans to drag his principal to court.

Wike's spokesman, said his Boss was not a dollar bill which Ganduje can "pocket sheepishly and recklessly".

Ganduje was reported to have threatened to institute a legal action against Wike, following claims that he ordered the demolition of a mosque in Port Harcourt, the state capital, Daily Post report.

The Rivers State governor, however, denied the allegation.

Reacting to Ganduje's threat, Nwakaudu in an article wrote: "It beats my imagination that Kano State Governor, Abdulahi Umar Ganduje is still in the habit of making irresponsible comments about Rivers State. Up till now, Ganduje is yet to realise that Governor Wike is not dollars that he can pocket recklessly and sheepishly.

"I saw a statement released by Abdulahi Umar Ganduje. He said that he will sue Governor Wike over the falsehood that a Mosque was demolished in Port Harcourt. For the umpteenth time, no Mosque was demolished by Governor Wike. No Mosque was demolished by the Rivers State Government.

"The story was a fabrication by one Alhaji Tobacco. The fabrication was orchestrated by Daily Trust and The Nation Newspapers for obvious mischievous political reasons. These baseless press releases confirm the ugly plot.

"Several journalists and civil society groups have visited the disputed land and no traces of any Mosque were found at the location. Governor Wike personally led journalists to the disputed land and the world saw that no Mosque existed there.

"On Saturday, the Rivers State Islamic Leader/Vice President General, Rivers State Council for Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Nasir Uhor stated that there was no physical structure of a Mosque at the disputed land at Rainbow Town in Port Harcourt. He said the insinuation that any structure was at that location was not true. He also admitted that a Rivers State High Court confirmed that the disputed land belongs to the Rivers State Government.

"Suit Number PHC/986/2012 between Registered Trustees of Trans-Amadi Mosque, Port Harcourt (Claimant) and the Commissioner, Ministry of Urban Development and Physical Planning, Rivers State, the Governor of Rivers State and the Attorney General of Rivers State (Defendants) was resolved by Justice G.O. Omereji on Tuesday, 27th November, 2018. This matter pre-dated Governor Wike.

"Justice Omereji of the Rivers State High Court held that: "The defendants have in Exhibits J, J1 and J2 inclusive of Exhibit K, which is the Certificate of Title, established that the land, the subject matter of this suit, was acquired in 1959 by the Government.

"My humble opinion is that the claimants have not established that they have better title to the land, the subject matter of this suit and they have not established that at the material time they were in possession and that the defendants do not have better title to the land".

"The Court further ruled that the claimants had no approval to build on the disputed land.

"The entire world is aware of the above facts. Nobody has circulated any photographs or videos of the said Mosque that Ganduje and other APC Chieftains are harping on. They merely want to use a non-existent Mosque story to score ugly political points.

"Pray, what redress would Ganduje be seeking in court when he sues Governor Wike? Would Ganduje tell the court to relegate the Rivers State Ministry of Urban Development and Physical Planning and enthrone its Kano State Counterpart? Would Ganduje be asking the Court to hand over jurisdiction to Kano State High Court?

"Under the Land Use Act, the governor is responsible for allocation of land in all urban areas to individuals' resident in the state or to organizations for residential, agricultural, commercial and other purposes. Perhaps, Ganduje would be telling the Court to deny the Rivers State Governor of such powers, while he retains same powers under the Land Use Act in Kano State.

"The Press Statement attributed to Ganduje is a confirmation that this country is at its lowest point. This is the worst form of administrative ignorance.

"As a Governor with a bruised ego, Ganduje thinks that this religious falsehood would afford him a backdoor entry into the national good book. Sadly, he has exposed himself as a terribly ignorant leader who basks in baseless claims.

"The disputed land is already before the court, as the Registered Trustees of Trans-Amadi Mosque, Port Harcourt (Claimant) sued the Rivers State Government in 2012. Having lost at the Court of First instance, these trustees have appealed the judgment.

"GANDOLLARS MAY HAVE FORGOTTEN, On December 8, 2016, Abdulahi Umar Ganduje, as Chairman of the Rivers State APC Election Rerun Campaign Committee, threatened violence on Rivers people at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium.

"Alongside several APC Governors, Ganduje Ganduje called on APC Thugs to unleash mayhem on Rivers electorate for the purpose of rigging the rerun elections. He claimed that the aim was to ensure that the APC took control of the House of Assembly for the purpose of impeaching Governor Wike.

"The APC Federal Government deployed 57,000 security personnel, billions of naira, millions of dollars, Jet Fighters and Gunboats for the rerun elections. Rivers people stood with Governor Wike and the APC was roundly defeated. Rivers people rejected the plot to pocket Governor Wike by the APC rigging machine.

"GOVERNOR WIKE IS NOT DOLLARS. Abdulahi Umar Ganduje, a man who enjoys bribery and falsehood, must realise that Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike is not dollars that he pockets with ridiculous abandon. Governor Wike is a lover of the rule of law, due process, religious tolerance and peaceful co-existence. He cannot be intimidated by the illiterate threat of lawsuit from a man of low moral standing.

Veteran Actress, Shan George Survives Life Threatening Brain Surgery

Veteran Nigerian actress, Shan George has revealed that she fell seriously ill in January, following issues in her brain and spine. She said she needed to have a surgery in both her brain and her spine that could very well leave her paralyzed for the rest of her life. She opened up about the process on her Instagram page earlier today, sharing pictures from the hospital.

She also used the moment to thank God, her friends and family who had supported her through that very difficult and scary period of her life. She started by telling the story of how she had been in and out of the hospital since January. She also talked about how expensive the surgery was and how she had actually undergone the operation here in Nigeria.

"I've been battling a spine disease for so many months now, in and out of hospital since January 2019, finally I was told d only solution is a spine surgery, a very delicate surgery that can render me permanently paralysed for d rest of my life if not properly done, I was so scared, the bill for such surgery runs into millions of naira. Long story short, I finally did the surgery in a clinic in abuja called Brain and Spine Surgery Consotium, successfully", She said.

Shan George also talked about how it was possible to do extensive and successful surgeries here in the country. She said, "I want to say a very big thank u to friends and family who went out of their way to support with d huge surgery bill, I will never forget u for supporting instead of looking for lame heartless reasons and excuses not to help. God bless u all immensely. Who says Brain, Spine and other delicate Surgeries can't be done in Nigeria? I'm recuperating fine. Help me thank God. I survived!!"

She says she is getting better and we are praying for perfect health for her.

Bobrisky reacts as over N19m wasted due to his Birthday party cancellation

Popular Nigerian cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye popularly known as Bobrisky has broken silence on the closure of the venue of his birthday party.


GistReel had reported that the Nigeria police raided a nude party organised by Bobrisky in Lekki area of Lagos State.

Bobrisky put up the party in celebration of his 28th birthday, but it was disrupted by the Nigeria police, who invaded the place and dispersed guests.

Photos and a video of the event centre showed several police vehicles stationed around the venue.

However, the cross-dresser  was said to have left his event centre before the police stormed the place.  Five people were said to have been arrested.

Reacting, Bobrisky in a post on his Snapchat apologised to friends and family who showed up for his party.

He wrote: "I'm a hard rock, nothing can break me. Love you all.

"I know it's painful especially to those of you who travelled to Nigeria to celebrate me. Don't worry, I got you all."

He recounted how he spent a total of 19 million naira on the event. He has's however found solace in his grandma's advice to always "thank God in every situation."

Moments fans open late DJ Arafat’s coffin after burial

Fans of the late DJ Arafat besieged his grave to open the coffin he was buried in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

On Saturday, August 31, 2019, thousands of fans of late DJ Arafat besieged his graveside to open the coffin he was buried in.


The fans, who swarm around the graveyard, opened the coffin to take photos of the corpse. They also tried touching his body to confirm it's their music idol.

This commotion prompted the Ivorien police to fire teargas to disperse the huge crowd.

After a private family burial at the Williamsville cemetery in Abidjan's working-class Adjame district, events took a dark turn as fans battled police preventing them from entering the cemetery.

However, several of the fans made it into the cemetery after which they forced open the fresh grave and coffin of the late DJ Arafat.

The coffin opening came after an overnight funeral concert where tens of thousands of Ivorians and citizens of neighbouring African countries paid tribute to the late Arafat.

Throughout the night, A-list African stars such as Davido, Fally Ipupa, Serge Beynaud and Sidiki Diabate had sung in memory of DJ Arafat, who died aged 33 on August 12, 2019, after a motorbike crash in Abidjan.

On Saturday morning, August 31, 2019, before the private burial, DJ Arafat's casket was placed at the center of the 35,000-capacity Felix Houphouet-Boigny stadium in Abidjan, drawing wild applause before the mood turned sad and many of his fans burst into tears.

But before I could straighten up and try to drag my body out of the gym, a trainer called over to Dara Lampe, one of the gyms massage therapists. Coaxing me onto a nearby table, Lampe asked if Id ever had a massage to treat my back pain. Of course not, I thought. No muscle could produce this hellpain. Like plenty of other folks with back pain, I was sure I had a disk problem. Herniated diskswhen the jellylike cushions between your vertebrae bulge out of place and squish against your nervesaffect men twice as often as women. Theyre responsible for the kind of anguish that compels almost half a million Americans to get intensive spinal-fusion surgeries each year, even though studies show that these surgical interventions help barely a third of sufferers. Herniated disks sound serious, and each time my back left me immobilized, I was convinced they were the culprit and never gave my back muscles any thought.

Lampe, a beacon of grace, nodded sympathetically. Then she rolled me over, jammed a knuckle beneath my bottommost rib, and set my brain on fire. Lampe had found my quadratus lumborum (QL), a little-known muscle that plays a big role in back pain. I swore as she manipulated the part of my back in which a boxer would lay a kidney shot, experiencing a whole-body rainbow of agony and release. What I learned from that was a revelation that would change my relationship with my spineand could reduce the pain that millions of Americans live with each year.

Why a "slipped" disk probably isn't causing your back pain
Like kale and the Kardashians, herniated disks get way more attention than they deserve. The truth is that muscles, ligaments, and arthritis are responsible for about 85 percent of back-pain episodes. Only a small percentage of patients have a herniated disk, and an even smaller percent will have something that requires surgery, says Matthew Varacallo, M.D., an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and joint reconstruction at Penn Highlands Healthcare in DuBois, Pennsylvania. Google searches might make you think you have a herniated disk, Lampe says, but Id say the QL is the most overlooked muscle when it comes to low back pain. Dr. Varacallo adds, Nobody comes in and says, I have a strained QL. But they probably should.


The QL is one of the deepest muscles of the trunk. (Technically, thats QLs, since theres one on each side of your spine.) It fans out from the vertebrae just below your rib cage down to your iliac crest, at the top of your hip bone. Its like a tension cable that keeps your spine upright and your entire trunk steady. Its not designed to do the job alone; your glutes, along with all of the other trunk muscles, help out.


Unless youre a typical desk worker, that is. Thanks to poor posture and prolonged sitting, these helper muscles do practically nothing all day, so your QL potentially works harder and harder to pick up the slack. You go to stand up or deadlift, and the QL, now tense from being on duty by itself, is stuck with even more work. Which its not designed to do, and you feel it in the form of a spasm or low back pain.

So what do you do when youre in my shoes, crumpled on the gym floor and terrified at the prospect of standing up? Lampes targeted massage helped loosen my spasming QL (I had a couple more massages over the next two weeks) and shortened my recovery time. But that was no long-term solution. Although Im still sitting at my desk all day, trying my best not to hunch over my keyboard, I now break things up with simple QL stretches (see below) to keep it agile and less spasm-prone.

Im working with a trainer, too, on exercises (see below) for my dilapidated trunk stabilizers and hip muscles, plus weighted squats for my glutes and endless lat pulls for my upper back. Nobodys gonna say, Nice QL! if they havent seen me for a while. But if the time I spend on the muscle prevents it from taking me down, I can keep on training everything else.

The leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, The leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, has reacted to the meeting convened by South East Governors on Saturday.

According to a Daily Post report, the governor of South East geo-political zone, on Saturday, after an expanded meeting resolved to commence a joint air operation to flush out bandits from all forests in the zone, "and to make it a continuous one".

The meeting was held with the Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika, representative of the Minister of Works, heads of security agencies at the national, zonal and state levels, Managing Director of FAAN, the President General of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Nnia Nwodo, Prof Barth Nnaji, among others.

The governors also banned herdsmen who move about with AK-47 guns and cutlasses."

On Operations Python Dance, the South East Governors said they "never invited the Army nor were South East Governors informed of their Operations Python Dance until the operations were already started in the states".

The governors agreed to write President Muhammadu Buhari for a meeting with him and all the Service Chiefs on security to douse tension in the region.

Reacting, Kanu queried the governors about their statement on Operation Python Dance 2.

The IPOB leader wondered why the South East Governors proscribed IPOB despite not having any knowledge about the Operation Python Dance 2.

On his Twitter page, Kanu wrote: "South East Governors, if you knew nothing about Operation Python Dance 2, why did you proscribe IPOB in its wake?

"The same northern leaders instigating you to fight peaceful IPOB is busy negotiating with and financing their fellow Fulani bandits.

"Who is fooling who? Too little, too late.", has reacted to the meeting convened by South East Governors on Saturday.

How to enjoy friendship with benefits without catching feelings

For those still unfamiliar with what the concept stands for, it is basically the instance of two friends deciding to engage in sex without taking it beyond that. It is being friends with a member of the opposite sex, with attendant benefits. Friendship-with-benefits has been spoken about in great length here.

Regardless of the concept's popular absence of emotions, the possibility that one or both of you will start catching feelings is pretty high.

Allowing these feelings to blossom changes things dramatically. Acting on them graduates the relationship from FWB to a proper relationship. And that's not OK unless, you both decide that that is what you really want.

So how do you do friends-with-benefits without caching feelings?

1. Have a busy life

Per Bolde:

"Just because you now have a FWB doesn't mean that you should spend less time on your own hobbies, career, and social life. You're only together to sleep together, so make sure your life away from him is full and happy. Don't let the setup with your new "friend" get in the way."

So it is better to have someone else, someone to provide emotional [maybe sexual?] cover when you need to move on quickly from that person rather than expressing a desire for a relationship you're certain will never materialize.

3. No one needs those words of endearment

Romantic nicknames and pillow talk are only for couples who are in serious relationships, not for your FWB. Skip them altogether and let sex remain sex.


Stick to calling each other by your first names, and if you catch yourself slipping in a "babe" or "honey," it may be time to organise goodbye sex and move on.

4. Shut down every date idea

The only time you want to be in the same space, being that close is when you actually want to come get the benefits you signed up for. Every other time should probably be in a circle of other times. Don't play all those romantic game if you don't want to catch feelings.

5. You'll be tempted to treat them specially, don't!

While your FWB deserves to be respected as a human and because you know, they're your friend, don't treat him or her as though what binds you together is more than sex. Be a decent human, and that should be it.

Don't serve him food after your hook-up session. Don't bend over backward to do stuff for her you would normally not do for any other babe. If you don't catch feelings, they would.

Extra tip:

All these things are actually easier said than done. So you know what would actually be lit AF? Avoiding FWB altogether or going into it with a mind to embrace all its glorious, orgasmic bliss and the emotional crash-landing that almost always occur in the end.

  • Alexa's legs will require multiple surgeries to reconstruct her ankles and knees, and she may not walk for three years.


College student Alexa Terrazas, 23, survived a 80-foot fall last Saturday afternoon after practicing yoga on her sixth-floor apartment's balcony in northeastern Mexico. She was practicing a risky yoga pose and lost her balance.

Alexa often did yoga, using the railing on her balcony for poses. Neighbors recall seeing her practice poses on the railing, including hanging upside down over the edge (as pictured).

Alexa landed on the pavement below her balcony and suffered multiple fractures in her legs, arms, hip, and head, EL Imparcial reported. Paramedics treated her on the scene and rushed her to the Zambrano Hellion Medical Center, according to El Sol de Mexico . Alexa then underwent 11 hours of surgeries, and she is currently in critical condition.

The Nuevo Len Attorney Generals Office confirmed that Alexa's fall was an accident. There is no sign of damage on the rail or the balcony.

Though a friend of Alexa's tweeted that she no longer needs blood donations, Alexa will require additional surgery. Doctors at the medical center said her ankles and knees will need to be reconstructed before she can walk again. Portions of her face will also need to be rebuilt in surgery. It may take three years for her to be able to walk again, per the New York Post .

Alexa is studying nutrition at the Monterrey Institute of Technology, El Sol de Mexico said. Family and friends gathered at Guadalupe Shrine to pray for Alexa.

Modern science has confirmed the link between diet and fertility. Therefore, check out these Nigerian diet changes to indulge in when trying to conceive.


In the bid to get pregnant, there are certain nutrients the body and eggs need in order to fertilise successfully. In the same vein, there are certain foods and chemicals that inhibit fertility that should be avoided.

1. Avoid caffeine
According to the Harvard study, one to two drinks of alcohol or several cups of coffee or tea a day had some adverse effects on ovulation. Hence, keep coffee, tea and sugar consumption at a minimum.

2. Eat more unsaturated fats
Avoid trans fats and eat more unsaturated fats. Trans fats can be found in most baked goods, processed foods and fried foods, and decrease the body's reaction to Insulin, causing irregular ovulation. Complex carbs take more time to digest, hence keeping blood sugar and insulin levels stable. Hence eat foods such as whole wheat bread, brown rice, whole wheat pasta etc.

4. Eat more plant protein
Replace animal protein with plant protein such as beans, lentils, bean curd (tofu) and nuts.

5. Take multivitamins
Multivitamins that contain folic acids and zinc help increase fertility. Also eat foods rich in vitamins such as fruits, leafy greens and vegetables, such as locust beans, guava, pumpkin seeds, tomatoes, yam, etc.

6. Take antioxidants
Free radicals are unstable molecules that are produced in your cells during your own metabolism. These free radicals can harm the egg, hence the body needs a lot of antioxidants which neutralize the effect of these radicals. Take coconut water, red palm oil, etc.

7. Drink whole milk

Drinking whole milk and its products protect against ovulatory infertility.Skip non-fat and low fat dairy and consume one or two servings a day of whole milk or other full-fat dairy foods, such as yogurt, ice cream, etc.
