Cock wins a landmark lawsuit to continue crowing

A cock named Maurice can continue his crowing after a judge rejected a lawsuit filed by some unhappy neighbors' lawyer, Vincent Huberdeau, in France.

Maurice's owner, Corinne Fesseau, told a court in Rochefort, western France, in July, that nobody else had complained about the noise at her home, except a couple of retired summer vacationers.

She faced having to either move or silence her rooster, but the judge, on Thursday, rejected her neighbours' complaint, meaning that Maurice can carry on crowing.


Her lawyer, Julien Papineau, said that the neighbours must also pay €1,000 in damages.

The case quickly ballooned into a national cause celebre, with 140,000 people signing a "Save Maurice" petition or proudly displaying his picture on "Let Me Sing"

Drunk driver returning from club with girlfriend kills at least 4 people

A drunk driver returning from a night club with his girlfriend killed at least 4 people early this morning around the Gwarinpa area of Abuja.

According to eyewitnesses, the drunk driver was overspeeding in a Mercedes Benz GLC 450 4matic when he rammed into a tricycle popularly known as Keke napep.

The fatal accident resulted in the death of at least 4 people. But some reports claim the death toll is at 6.


The driver and his girlfriend survived and allegedly fled the scene. This led to pandemonium as hoodlums and keke riders demand justice for their members who were killed.

Aggrieved keke riders blocked some roads in Gwarinpa earlier today and commuters were warned to avoid Gwarinpa 3rd/4th avenue as gunshots have been heard in the area.

Ken Erics’ wife reveals he has abandoned their 2-year-old marriage

Ken Erics and his "estranged" wife, Onyi Adaba seem to be enmeshed in marital crisis as he reportedly abandoned his marriage for the past 10 months.

Onyi Adaba disclosed this while reacting to rumour of Blossom Chukwujekwu and Maureen Esisi's marriage ending on grounds of infidelity.


In an Instagram exchange with a follower, Onyi Adaba revealed that she has been subjected to pain and trauma for the past 10 months as her husband Ken Erics abandoned their marriage and moved out of their apartment.

The couple got married in Enugwu-Ukwu, Anambra State on the 28th of December 2017. The ceremony was attended by Ken Erics' family, some colleagues from Nollywood and in the entertainment industry.

Afropop singer, Yemi Alade has revealed that it may be difficult to have a music collaboration with self proclaimed African bad gal Tiwa Savage.

In an interview with Ndani TV, Yemi Alade revealed that there may never be a collaboration between them because of the outcome, which according to her may be positive or negative.

She said "it's unfortunate the troubles and feelings that people keep stirring on our way, it probably will never allow us have a collaboration, because you're not sure if the outcome will be positive or will be overrun or will be shunned by all the fights."

"When we do music, we do music so that people can be happy, so when we do a song together, what are we doing, what are we encouraging? that's the most important questions when i do collaborations. there is an aim." she added.

Although the two singers don't say it in clear terms, it is apparent there is a silent rivalry between them.

Meanwhile, Yemi Alade recently gave condition of partnership with Tiwa Savage to make a song, saying "If it is the will of God (collaborating with Tiwa Savage)."

A woman can't withhold her joy after her daughter surprised her at work with flowers and a car gift. The daughter enlisted the help of friends the pull off the surprise.

In a video shared on Twitter by the daughter, the woman is seen looking on in shock as her daughter and friends approached with the gifts. When she saw they were for her, she cried happy tears.
