#BBNaija2019: Nigerian man addresses all married men "Remember Mike when next you want to cheat on your wives"

The BBNaija 2019 reality show has finally come to an end but not without leaving Nigerians with many things to remember.

Foremost on the list of memories seems to be the character of one of the housemates, Mike, who happens to be a happily married man.

Unlike other married men who participated in the show in the past, Mike seemed to behave himself in a better way and Nigerians have praised him for it.

A Facebook user, Alex Okonkwo, took to his page to share a now viral post celebrating the married man. According to the post, infidelity is a choice and men are to be held responsible for deciding to cheat.

The post further stated that Mike respected himself, his wife and his vows despite there being several beautiful ladies in the BBNaija house.

Infidelity is a choice. You are responsible for what you do with your penis. You cheat or misbehave because you want to or you are a dog, not because you can't control yourself.

Mike lived 99 days with different beautiful ladies of different sizes, complexion, height and shapes. He saw them in skimpy outfits, shared bathrooms and bedrooms with them, but not for once did we see his boner. Not for once did he behave inappropriately around any of them.

He respected himself, his wife, his wedding vows and his brand, even though he knows our society would have made excuses for him or forgiven him easily if he had messed around with any of the girls in that house.

Remember this when next you want to make silly excuses for philandering husbands or put the blame on wives of cheating men.
Remember this when next you justify sleeping with the house help, sister inlaw, colleague, neighbour, wife's best friend or your side chick.

Like or hate Mike, he really set a good standard for married men in that house.

Nigerian veteran rapper, Sky B is dead

Earlier today, Nigerian rapper, Sky B was confirmed dead in Owerri, Imo State.

The rave of 2007 was reportedly found unconscious at his residence on the morning of today at his residence in Owerri, Imo State.

According to Instablog9ja, he was pronounced dead at Federal Medical Centre, Owerri, Imo State. The cause of death was said to be a heart attack. You might remember him as the rapper who dropped the 2007 hit, 'I'm Calling' and other hits like 'You Promised Not To Go' 'Pray For Me' and 'Here I Am.'

At the time, he also released one album titled, Pray For Me.

Last year, he was the victim of a motor accident.

Nigerian man slams Davido - “Davido is broke; He can’t afford iPhone 11 Pro”

A young man, identified as Simeon has slammed Davido on Twitter, saying that the the superstar is broke and unable to afford the latest iPhone 11 Pro.

Simeon took to his Twitter handle today to attack Davido, alleging that the singer is really broke at the moment, that's why he's still using the old brand of iPhone.

Recall that, when the iPhone X was launched, Davido took all his squad shopping and gifted them with a piece of the Notch-phone, thanking them for being loyal to him over the years.

Since the new brand of iPhone arrived, Davido hasn't shown off the product yet and the young man is of the notion that Davido is broke.

Political analyst raises alarm after receiving death threat from Zlatan Ibile

Political and financial analyst, Oluwa Tobi has raised alarm on Twitter after Zlatan Ibile sent him a death threat.

Earlier today, Zlatan and Tobi had an altercation after Tobi tweeted that the musician is fond of releasing stupid songs, and he wouldn't be surprised if he releases a song out of the recent 'sex for Mark' incident.

Annoyed by Tobi's statement, Zlatan fired back at him, calling his father 'dumb'.

Tobi replied further, calling the musician an 'agbero' and alleging that he is an empty brain who would never make it in the industry.

Currently, the matter has escalated further as the musician openly issued him a death threat, warning him to watch his words before he joins his father in his grave.

Tobi, scared by Zlatan's threat began to plead with him and he raised an alarm; Should anything happen to him, Zlatan is responsible.

Tunde Ednut mocks BBNaija’s car gift to Mercy

Nigerian entertainer, Tunde Ednut took to his Instagram page today to make mockery of the Innoson car presented to the winner of the BBNaija 2019 season, Mercy Eke.

Sharing the picture via his Instagram page, Tunde alleged that the car is too poor compared to the amount of money realised from the show.


In his words;

"See the car they are giving to Lambo after all the money they made. Not even GWagon or Range. BBN Don buy NEPA motor for our Lambo. Dis one na made in 51 Iweka road onitsha".

While some Nigerians reacted in affirmation to Tunde's post, others bashed him for rubbishing Nigeria's brand, Innoson.

Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson posted a tweet today in reaction to the sex for grade scandal and this has earned her brutal criticisms from Twitter users who think she's being a hypocrite.

The Ghanaian actress, while reacting to the scandal, seemed to be laying the blame on women for not covering their bodies properly.

She wrote: "Sex for grades! Sex for jobs! Sex for everything in our part of the world! Your brains dont matter here.

It's the covered parts they want, oh wait, these parts arent covered anymore…its free on social media. Will it ever change??"

Twitter users called her out for her tweet and reminded her that she too has been known to expose her body yet that doesn't give anyone the right to take advantage of her.

Some even went as far as digging up old bikini photos of the actress.

Border Closure: Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo Gives Insight

Professor Yemi Osinbajo, Nigeria's Vice-President has commented on the closure of Nigerian land borders.

The Vice-President spoke on Tuesday while responding to questions from a cross-section of Norwegian investors at a round-table event at the Nordic-African Business Summit holding in Oslo, Norway, Daily Post reports.

He said with the signing of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement, it was important for Nigeria to take important steps.

The VP explained that the closure was "to address issues bothering on smuggling and dumping of products imported through neighbouring countries."

Osinbajo urged investors to take advantage of the friendly business climate in Nigeria to invest in key sectors of the economy.

In his Independence Day broadcast, President Muhammadu Buhari also gave reasons for the border closure.

The president said while Nigeria would continue to do business with other countries, illegal movement of crude oil will not be allowed.

He said: "We will also continue our fight against illegal bunkering of crude oil and the smuggling of refined petroleum products across our borders, including the diligent prosecution and conviction of offenders found guilty of these acts.

"Whilst Nigeria remains committed to free and fair continental and international trade, we will not hesitate to take all necessary steps to tackle illegal smuggling, transshipment and other predatory trade practices that destroy jobs in our country."

Earlier, the Comptroller-General of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), retired Col. Hameed Ali, said the closure was to strengthen the nation's security and protect its economic interests.

Nigerian Pilot, Ademilola "Lola" Odujinrin, creates record as he emerges the first African in history to fly solo around the world, Nigeria Facts reports.

A quick check on Wikipedia shows that Ademilola Odujinrin works with Air Djibouti. Lola completed his "One Man, One Plane" expedition on March 29, 2017. He landed at Washington Dulles International Airport, the same airport he departed from in June 2016.

NNDC: N1.9bn Hyacinth Contract Scandal.....Akpabio Says It's Not True

Senator Godswill Akpabio former Governor of Akwa Ibom State and now Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, has been
challenged to explain his role in the alleged diversion of N1.9billion from the water hyacinth contracts.

Some of the former militants who fingered Akpabio in the brewing controversy over the contract, wondered how the former governor could condescend so low to appropriated 400 slots of the water hyacinth to himself after accusing the former NDDC board of misdeeds.

But Akpabio has denied any wrongdoing, saying the contracts were awarded before his appointment as Minister and that he only authorized payments for jobs that have been completed by the militants to avoid crisis, Pointblanknews reports.

Spokesman of the aggrieved former Militants, General Ebi, in a statement, made available to Pointblanknews.com called on President Muhammadu Buhari to direct the anti-graft agencies to immediately swing into action over the matter.

General Ebi's statement reads in part, "The 21st century youths of the Niger Delta and agitators with conscience condemn the unprecedented and widespread fraud concerning the payment of the water hyacinth to the youths and beneficiaries of the Niger Delta.

"We therefore call on the honourable minister of Niger Delta AffairsSenator Godswill Akpabio and the Acting Managing Director of the NDDC to come out clean and exonerate themselves from this primitive and shameful looting and diverting of the funds meant for the youths to themselves.

"It is so pathetic, disgusting and shameful that our so called leaders are the real problem in the Niger Delta, if a distinguished leader that was once the governor of Akwa Ibom state for 8years and is currently the minister of Niger Delta affairs will condescend so low to have appropriated 400 slots of the water hyacinth to himself after accusing the former NDDC board of misdeeds.

"1.9billion naira was approved by the honourable minister of Niger Delta affairs Senator Godswill Akpabio for the payment of the water hyacinth as an empowerment scheme to the various beneficiaries and youths of the Niger Delta.

"But so far, what we have heard from the Director of Environment Mr Boniface Sese, who is in charge of compiling the list, is that the master list of beneficiaries has been cancelled since the former board was dissolved and was directed by the present acting MD to compile a new list of just 100 slots for the youths, 400 slots for senator Godswill Akpabio, 300 slots for the current acting MD, but him Boniface Sese the Director of Environment refused to disclose how many slots were allotted to him. However, our findings reveal that all his staff and aides are allotted 5 slots each and some directors, 10 slots.

"We therefore use this medium to call on the attention of the president and commander in chief of the federal republic of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari to direct the EFCC and the ICPC to immediately swing into action and we also call on the honourable minister of Niger Delta affairs Senator Godswill Akpabio to come out clean and exonerate himself as his
reputation is being dragged to the mud to defraud the youths of the Niger Delta," the statement noted.

Akpabio was only recently linked to employment scandal at the NDDC where over 300 persons were allegedly employed without the board approvals.
The Minister had swiftly backpedaled when the illegal recruitment exercise was exposed.

However, when contacted, Akpabio through his spokesman, Anietie Ekong, said the Minister only intervened in ensuring the payment of an already completed contract when the Militants staged a protest recently.

According to him, "the story is not correct. It is mudslinging from people who have lost out. It is a payment made to companies.

"No individual gets such N3million payment. Payments for all those types of contracts go straight to companies and not individuals. These are jobs that have been done before Akpabio got to that office," Ekong told Pointblanknews.com

Church, UNILAG, Suspends Randy Lecturer Over Sex For Mark Scandal

The Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria and the University of Lagos, have both suspended Dr Boniface Igbeneghu reportedly involved in the sex-for-grades scandal.

It could be recalled that the lecturer at the center of the saga, was exposed in a video by BBC Africa where an undercover journalist, Kiki Mordi, disguised as a 17-year-old admission seeker.

The vice-chancellor of the institution, Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, confirmed the development saying the lecturer has been place under indefinite suspension.

The church where the Lecturer worships also dissociated itself from the "heinous and unscriptural act" of Igheneghu.

In a statement on Monday by the National Secretary of the church, Rev Ikechukwu Ugbaja, he promised to investigate the allegation and take appropriate sanctions.

Rev. Ikechukwu's statement reads: "The attention of the leadership of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria has been drawn to a video clip trending on social media platforms titled, 'Sex for grades: Undercover in West Africa Universities – BBC News' wherein a lecturer at the University of Lagos named Boniface Igbeneghu, also described as a pastor in Foursquare Gospel Church, was allegedly involved in sexual misconduct with some female students of the university.

"The general public is hereby informed that as holiness and Bible-believing church, we do not condone such heinous and unscriptural acts among our ministers.

"We totally dissociate ourselves from the purported conduct of Dr Igbeneghu and promise to take appropriate measures as soon as the ongoing investigation is concluded.

"Meanwhile, the pastor in question has been asked to step down from all ministerial assignments."

FG warns travellers and tourists against Bobrisky

The Federal Government has asked travellers and tourists to be careful wherever they notice the presence of Bobrisky, mostly as it affects sharing of public facilities, including toilets.

The report followed a report received by the Federal Government on how Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, caused a stir at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja when he used a female toilet.

While appealing to the leadership of Nigeria Medical Association to enlighten people on the dangers of women sharing public toilet with Bobrisky, the government said that by using public female toilet, Bobrisky had constituted a serious threat to women.


Otunba Segun Runsewe, Director-General of National Centre for Arts and Culture, a parastatal of the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture, raised the alarm in an interview with The PUNCH in Abuja.

He said, "Bobrisky is a serious health hazard for Nigeria and Nigerians. The health hazard Bobrisky has is worse than Ebola Virus Disease; travellers and tourists should be careful wherever they notice the presence of Bobrisky, mostly as it affects sharing of public facilities.

"Women are prone to get various types of disease from the toilet than sexual intercourse. Now, Bobrisky will enter the same toilet with a woman and at the end the woman will contract some kind of diseases.

"When she gets home and sleeps with her husband and the husband discovers he has been infected, the next thing is to seek for divorce without knowing the actual cause of how the wife was infected."

He added, "In the first place, Bobrisky's passport shows that he is a man. Why should he turn himself to a woman and use women's toilets? At the end of the day, innocent Nigerian women who go to same toilet will now be infected with what they did not bargain for.

"If Bobrisky is even using men's toilet, we can understand. As I speak, we got a report of how a woman was very upset with the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria because on this day she saw Bobrisky using female toilet in Abuja Airport.

"Well, for me, we have done our little bit; we have left everything for the medical practitioners."

Big Brother Naija 1st runner up, Mike Olayemi Edwards, has finally spoken after he was crowned the 1st runner up of the reality TV show.

Mercy had trounced Mike, Frodd, Omashola, and Seyi, the top five BBNaija housemates, who contested for the bragging rights of the reality TV show's season 4 with a whooping 20.5m votes representing about 41.77 percent of the total votes cast.

Mike, who also reunited with his wife after Mercy emerged winner, thanked his fans for their support. He, however urged them not to withdraw their support to him despite the completion of the reality show.

Mike said this on Sunday night, during the Finale Party!
