Ike shuts down troll for telling his friend to hook Mercy up with another guy

A video has surfaced on social media that captured the moment Ike responded to an internet troll that tried to come in the way of his feelings for his curvy woman, Mercy.


Ike had featured on a live video session on a friend's Instagram account, and among those that watch the video, a particular user had pointed out that guys that are named Ike are known to be cheats, as such, the reality star's friend should hook Mercy up with someone else.

The friend immediately responded saying, Ike isn't a cheat and would never think of cheating on Mercy.


This was followed by Ike pointing out that Mercy is not going anywhere because they love each other.

He said internet trolls can continue making efforts to come in between them.

Blogger Stella DimokoKorkus and actress Tonto Dikeh are currently in an online messy fight. This fight has led to some alleged secrets being revealed to the public and now Tonto has taken it a step further by releasing private chats she had with Stella.


Recall that Tonto Dikeh had accused Stella of writing fake stories about her because she refused to give her money when she solicited for help. The blogger, however, debunked the allegation that she begged Tonto for money.

Now, Tonto Dikeh has released a private chat to prove that Stella begged her for money, but disguised and came to her through a lady who had sickler children.

The Cross River State Governor, Mr. Ben Ayade, has approved the appointment of Dr Odey Oyama, a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state as Interim Chairman of the state anti-deforestation task-force.

According to a report by Daily Post, the appointment, which was announced by Mr Christian Ita, Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, takes immediate effect.

The statement revealed that the approval of the interim task-force was to enforce the anti-deforestation policy of the government.

"The new interim task-force has Dr Odey Oyama as chairman with the 18 Heads of Local Government Administration (HOLGA) as members.

Ayade warned that any HOLGA that allows illegally logged woods to pass through his or her local government area faces termination from the local government service.

"It should be noted that any HOLGA that allows illegally logged woods to pass through his or her local government area, faces termination from the local government service," the statement added.

Elvina Ibru, Nollywood thespian, has expressed her desire to meet with the robber who raped her in the year 2004 in an incident she says was not her fault.

Elvina Ibru who played the role of Mopelola in the blockbuster movie, "Bling Lagosians" expressed the desire to see her violator once again on Monday during an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

The Nollywood Actress also urged rape victims to speak out, having experienced the ugly incident, noting that there was a need for others to take a cue from what she had been through which made her set up an advocacy group.

She said; "I was raped by an armed robber in 2004, it wasn't my fault and not an incident that warrants me taking up microphone about, so I set up an advocacy group to address it," she said.

"The group is to manage the young and old ones who had been through the same ugly incident like me. I know if I had to go all out to media about the situation, it will fizzle out.

"However, it is not something I have been silent about; I don't know the person that raped me, but I will meet him again, I know I will meet him."

The actor and writer urged Nollywood stakeholders to be professional in their conduct, adding that the industry needed the touch of core professionals.

"Although I can say that I am not a veteran in the movies because I just spiced up my acting recently, but I have been on stage for a long time," she said.

"What I can bring to the table for my colleagues is that they must be professional with their jobs as much as possible.

"There are times that we need to up our games as actors, producers and other professions in the film making industry; we need to be professional and do things right.

"The fault in our movies did not just happen because we lack money, they also come with the way we handle things as professionals, though, money is also a big factor.

"There are other things that are attached to film making which we need to look at to move the industry forward", she said.

Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Chairman, Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has commended the Nigeria Police over the arrest of suspected killers of Mrs Acheju Abuh, PDP Women Leader in Kogi State.

Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa, who tasked the police to ensure that those arrested are made to face the wrath of the law said political violence should be condemned in Nigeria, Daily Post reports.

Mrs Abuh was killed shortly after the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, announced Governor Yahaya Bello winner of the just concluded governorship election in Kogi State.

The PDP women leader was attacked in her house and burnt alive by suspected thugs of the APC.

Abike via a Twitter tweet, wrote: "Kudos to the @PoliceNG for the arrest of some suspects in the death of the PDP women leader in Kogi. Imperative for the culprits to be found and justice is done. Political violence must not be tolerated. May her soul RIP."

Dri Goodluck Jonathan, Nigeria's former President, has reacted to rumours making the rounds in the media that he worked against his party, the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the recent governorship poll in Bayelsa State because of the Malabu oil deal.

The former President described the rumours and claim as absurd and deliberately designed as a form of blackmail.

He said this while reacting to the former Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido, who had claimed in an interview that Jonathan traded off the PDP in the last governorship election in Bayelsa State because he was trying to avoid being prosecuted by the APC government of President Muhammadu Buhari over the Malabu deal, Daily Post reports.

Sule Lamido had said the Federal Government used the Malabu case to blackmail Jonathan into supporting the All Progressives Congress in Bayelsa State.

But Jonathan, in a statement by his media aide, Ikechukwu Eze, said Lamido did not speak like a statesman and described his claim as absurd.

He said, "Ordinarily, we shouldn't be responding to an interview of this nature because it is obvious, given his amiable nature, former president Jonathan does not consider the idea of joining issues with individuals on the pages of newspapers a decent conduct.

"We are also aware of the former president's belief that truth always has a way of catching up with statements rooted in lies and propaganda, such as this one. Furthermore, we considered that when former president Jonathan was in office, Lamido was one of the governors that worked closely with him.

"However, we chose to make this clarification just to set the record straight, especially as some of the former president's close associates have been asking questions about the blatant statement credited to Lamido.

"We really do not know why Lamido, chose to speak like he did, especially with such hostility, contempt and lies against former president Jonathan.

"However, one thing is clear: In his anger and apparent bile-filled disposition, Lamido, an otherwise astute and erudite politician, obviously dropped the ball by electing not to speak responsibly like a statesman.

"He actually came off the interview sounding like a sulking skunk, to whom logic or reason meant nothing. It didn't matter to him that, as a well respected member of the society, he shouldn't make such weighty claims against a former president if he was only guessing, like he admitted. Hear him: 'And the issue of Malabu, I think, played a key role'.

"Apparently, seized by some inexplicable resentment, Lamido held on to the lie currently being pushed by few mischief-makers to the effect that former president Jonathan helped the APC to win the last governorship election in Bayelsa State.

"Unfortunately, the former governor jumped into this convenient bandwagon of grovellers without first thinking of the burden of substantiating his claim. What to do? Orchestrate a raft of incongruent drivel of cheap lies to confuse the readers.

"In one breathe, Lamido alleged Jonathan worked against his party 'because he was very, very angry with (governor) Dickson,' in another, he claimed it was 'because he (Jonathan) knows his problem with Buhari and his government. And the issue of Malabu, I think, played a key role'.

"This absurd claim definitely would have gained more traction in the public space if it really made any sense. But it didn't.

"What, if we may ask Lamido, is the correlation between Jonathan supporting APC because he was angry with Governor Dickson and Jonathan supporting APC to avoid prosecution over Malabo?

"Where was Lamido and his 'Malabu problem' when Jonathan campaigned vigorously and helped PDP to win Bayelsa governorship election in 2015, under the same President Buhari?

"It is important to establish at this point that Lamido probably knows little about the Malabu case, for which he was not supposed to have commented blindly.

"In the first place, the Malabu oil block was not given out by Jonathan. It was a deal that was sealed during the time of the late head of state, General Sani Abacha.

"We feel that Lamido is in a position to know the business of oil exploration has an international dimension, as such, it is clear, it is not only the Nigerian government that is looking into the Malabu case.

"If that is the case, he should also have known that there are at least, three other countries outside Africa that are investigating the matter.

"Assuming without conceding that the former president Jonathan is culpable as Lamido alleged, would a trade off deal with the Nigerian government also free him from blame in other countries like Italy, United Kingdom and the United States?

"Jonathan is convinced that Lamido's awkward intervention in this matter was deliberately designed as a form of blackmail. Having tried many other ways to discredit the former president to no avail, Lamido is now scheming to project Malabu as Jonathan's Achilles heel.

"Here again, he has failed because the true story of Malabu is already known to Nigerians.

"Lamido, we believe, is too smart not to realise when the pot conveniently calls the kettle black, it is a grand design to confuse, deceive and cover up the truth.

"Lamido served as governor of Jigawa State for two terms on the platform of PDP after which the ruling APC took over his state. Is he then telling Nigerians that he cut a deal with APC, helped the ruling party to procure victory at the poll and take over his state?

"The fact is that it is not only in Bayelsa State that the country had experienced such a situation where PDP or even APC had lost elections to another party.

"Holding Jonathan responsible for PDP's loss in Bayelsa without first investigating the issues that determined the fate suffered by the party in the state is not only disingenuous but also detrimental to the image and aspirations of the party."

President Buhari’s Aide Lauretta Onochie Says Air Peace CEO Had Ulterior Motives For Air lifting Nigerians From South Africa

President Muhammadu Buhari's Personal Assistant on Social Media, Lauretta Onochie, has pointed out reasons why the Chairman of Air Peace, Allen Onyema evacuated Nigerians who were stranded in South Africa during the xenophobic attack.

Onochie claimed that Onyema had an ulterior motive when he evacuated stranded Nigerians in South Africa free of charge.

In a series of tweets, the presidential aide said she was not fooled by Onyema's "heroism" because she knew something was up, adding that the Air Peace boss knew America had him where they wanted him.

She tweeted: "When the scales suddenly fall off their eyes, we must give it time because it's either they are pursuing something or something is pursuing them.

"When Air Peace Proprietor became a "Hero", I was not fooled. Something was pursuing him. He knew America had him where they wanted him."

Onyeama was charged with bank fraud and money laundering for moving more than $20 million from Nigeria through United States bank accounts in a scheme involving false documents based on the purchase of air-planes.

The US State Department of Justice in a statement posted on its website on Friday, said Air Peace Chief of Administration and Finance, Ejiroghene Eghagha, has also been charged with bank fraud and committing aggravated identity theft in connection with the scheme.

But, reacting, Onyeama said all money transferred to the US went through the CBN, adding that the allegations were false and are in no way in line with his character as a person and as a businessman.

Court remands Mompha in prison over N32.9bn alleged scam

The Federal High Court in Lagos has made an order for suspected Internet fraudster, Ismaila Mustapha, alias Mompha, to be remanded in the prison custody.

Justice Mohammed Liman made the remand order on Monday shortly after Mompha was arraigned before him on 14 counts bordering on fraud, money laundering and running a foreign exchange business without the authorisation of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

In the charges against him, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission alleged that Mompha procured one Ismalob Global Investment Limited and retained in its bank account an aggregate of N32.9bn between 2015 and 2018.

The EFCC said Mompha "ought to have reasonably known that the money formed part of proceeds of unlawful act, to wit: fraud."

Among other things, the Internet celebrity was also accused of negotiating foreign exchange transactions of various sums with various persons when he was not an authorised seller appointed by the CBN.

The prosecuting counsel for the EFCC, Rotimi Oyedepo, said Mompha acted contrary to sections 5 and 29(1)(c) of the Foreign Exchange Monitoring and Miscellaneous (Provision) Act Cap F34 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004 and he was liable to be punished under Section 29(2) of the same Act.

When the charges were read to him, however, Mompha pleaded not guilty.

While praying for a date for commencement of trial, the prosecution urged Justice Liman to order that the defendant be remanded in the prison custody.

The defence counsel, Mr Gboyega Oyewole (SAN), said he was not opposed to the application for trial date but said he had already filed a bail application for his client and served same on the prosecution.

The prosecution confirmed that it had been served with the bail application but said it required time to read and respond to it.

Justice Liman adjourned till Friday, November 29, to take arguments on the bail application and for trial to commence.

Meanwhile, the prosecution applied that the judge issue summonses on some of its listed witnesses, including the Director of Trade and Exchange Department at the CBN, Ahmed Umar; and Enu Matthew of the Special Control Unit Against Money Laundering, Ministry of Trade, among others.

Tonto Dikeh and Stella Dimoko Korkus have a rocky relationship

Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh and Blogger, Stella Dimoko are the new cat and rat in the entertainment industry. A war brewed between them after Stella recently published the viral story of Tonto Dikeh's embarrassing events in Dubai.

While there seem to exist some particles of bitterness between them in the past, the recent paths they crossed blew everything up.

Tonto Dikeh accused Stella of spreading false stories about her because she refused to give her the money she begged for years old. But the blogger denied it.


Today another sizzling drama started after Tonto Dikeh went on social media to compare Linda Ikeji's career to that of Stella by asserting that Linda's success destroyed Stella's career and that bitterness and envy will not allow her to grow….


And Stella swiftly replied by exposing the actress, saying that despite everything, she is still better than her,because she (Tonto Dikeh) allegedly goes around begging for money to build houses, she gossips about TM (Toke Makniwa) sleeping around with men for money and Bobrisky pays her rent and shops for her in Dubai.

“Not Guilty” As Mompha Pleads to All Allegations

Ismaila Mustapha, popularly known as Mompha, has according to Punch pleaded "not guilty" to the allegations brought against him before the Federal High Court in Lagos by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Mompha, who faces 14 counts bordering on fraud, money laundering and running a foreign exchange business without the authorisation of the Central Bank of Nigeria, has also been order to be remanded in prison by Justice Mohammed Liman.

Mompha has been accused by the EFCC of procuring one Ismalob Global Investment Limited, and retaining an aggregate of ₦32.9billion between 2015 and 2018 in its bank account.

He "ought to have reasonably known that the money formed part of proceeds of unlawful act, to wit: fraud," the EFCC said.

A bail application has been set for Mompha, the defence counsel Gboyega Oyewole revealed, and the prosecution confirmed that it has been served with the application, but added that it required time to read and respond to it.
