For example, see what locations, keywords, and other top signals are driving performance. These insights can help inform your broader marketing strategy. In the report below, you can see that people who search holiday sales are more likely to convert. As a result, you might start bidding on similar keywords or include the term holiday sales in some of your ad copy.

Looking for ways to improve Smart Bidding performance? Consider these best practices:

  • Segment your conversion data by Days to conversion to see how long it takes for your customers to convert. When monitoring performance, be sure to use a date range that's long enough to capture any delayed conversions.
  • If you're not hitting your performance goals, consider adjusting your targets to align with historical CPA or ROAS. Overly-aggressive targets can affect your volume. Avoid changing those targets by more than 20% at a time so the system can learn and optimize.
