| Cardi B reportedly paid N1.8billion to perform in Nigeria and Ghana Posted: 10 Dec 2019 12:30 AM PST  The saying, stars don't come cheap has proven to be true on several occasions and it is not different for 27 years old rapper, Cardi B who rose from stripping to being a multiple award winning star.The seasoned rapper who thrilled fans in Africa after she graced the continent in style to perform in Lagos and in Ghana, made her sponsors roll out very huge amount of money for her appearances.Sources revealed that Nigeria and Ghana, budgeted about $2.5million dollars each! The 2.5m dollars covers the performance fees per country and the production costs per country too. The production costs includes hotels/accommodation bills for Cardi B and her entourage, it also includes the chartered private jet and all other incidentals that could accrue for the trip. It was discovered that Cardi B's performance fee for Nigeria alone is between $800,000 and $1.2m Dollars and same goes for the Accra concert. Furthermore, it seems the whole concert is not an initiative of Darey Art Alade and his wife Deola as widely speculated. Looks more like a type of collaboration and their brand were just in charge of production and all. Indeed stars don't come cheap.  | ||

According to the female celebrities who spoke up, they were really annoyed about the fact that Cardi just sat at the pool side eating Ghanaian food while they waited patiently for her. The celebrities have tagged it an unfair treatment, insisting that they deserved better than what they got, as they are also celebrities as well.  | ||

I still cooked last night but I don't cook every morning because of my busy schedule. I cook every time I am free and have nothing on my plate.My special dishes are vegetable soups. I love cooking vegetable soup (efo riro) very well and I either eat it with eba or fufu. I also cook fresh fish stew and Ogbono soup. The Nigerian information space exploded on Thursday December 4, 2019, when news broke that the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has convicted a former governor of Abia State and Senator representing Abia North in the Senate, Senator Orji Kalu, of N7.1bn fraud and sentenced him to 12 years imprisonment.Senator Kalu was convicted alongside his firm, Slok Nigeria Limited and his Director of Finance and Account at the Abia State Government House, Mr. Jones Udeogu who served under him when he was Abia state governor.While Udeogu was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment, the judge ordered the winding up of Slok Nigeria Limited, holding that its assets and properties be forfeited to government.The judgment, delivered by Justice Mohammed Idris, shocked and stunned the whole nation, not only because the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC had been on this case for 12 years after it first filed the fraud charges against Kalu in 2007, but also for the fact that the former Abia state governor had been widely regarded as a sacred cow and one of the most trusted ally and confidant of President Buhari; a claim he seemingly invoked and exploited to maximum effect when INEC was compelled by the courts to issue him with a certificate of return as Abia North Senator and most recently when the Supreme Court validated his victory and dismissed all the petitions challenging his election victory. Not many people believed that a court of law in Nigeria would be bold enough to convict a man whose relationship with President Mohammadu Buhari, was such that he even took a well celebrated chieftaincy title from Katsina, the President's state and his ride to the Senate became so smooth once he joined APC, the ruling Party, thus lending more credence to the narrative that your sins will be forgiven once you joined APC. In any case, with this dramatic conviction of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, it appears that many people have grossly underestimated the unflinching tenacity and crusade like commitment of the EFCC boss, Ibrahim Magu to the anti corruption war. This conviction, coming at this very auspicious time in the evolution of the anti corruption war, has more than consolidated the argument that Ibrahim Magu ought to be confirmed and retained as the substantive head of the EFCC. It also sends a reassuring signal to the international community that Nigeria is quite serious about tackling corruption frontally, with a dedicated and courageous man in charge, but most importantly it delivers a clear and direct warning to all those under EFCC investigation for various fraud related allegations, but enjoying some form of official authority and responsibility, that the EFCC under Magu, is not going to dilly dally over fraud and corruption cases anymore and sooner than later, a proper and complete closure will be brought to many of the very outstanding and astounding cases. Indeed, one of the most satisfying aspects of the judgement and conviction of Senator Orji Kalu was the commendation given to the EFCC by the Judge. The actor who is gunning to be the president of Ghana has finally explained reason behind his pulling his post on the legalisation of polyandrous and polygamous marriages in his country down.While speaking on a radio programme, Joy FM's Metropolitan Mix, special Farmer's Day edition which was hosted by Mamavi Owusu Aboagye, John explained that his initial plan was to pull down the post after a few minutes before he even posted it.He explained further that the post was meant to be a poll asking for other people's opinion which he, unfortunately, ended posting as a statement and it had gone viral before he realised his mistake thus the need to pull it down immediately.After he had shared the post, his wife, Gift Mawunya Dumelo, went to comment under it.
