Nigerian Comic Actor, Bishop Umoh a.k.a Okon Lagos has replied those accusing him of faking his weight loss.

Bishop Umoh had earlier shared photos and videos from the gym, announcing his decision to lose belly fat and get '6packs'. After some time, he also shared photos to reveal that his belly fat has reduced to a large extent.

Following his action, some social media users countered the Nollywood actor's weight loss claim, and also shared photos to "back up" their claim, insisting that the comic actor did not lose any belly fat.

Reacting to this, Okon wrote;

'I just confuse o. Person no go lose him own weight again in peace? Am I losing anybody's weight?'

Hours after being dragged for car theft, Naira Marley flaunts his whips

Popular Nigerian singer, Afeez Fashola aka Naira Marley, has taken to instagram to show off his cars, few hours after being dragged to court for car theft.

Reca that a Tinubu Chief Magistrate Court in Lagos has ordered the police to arrest and bring in the musician for immediate arraignment, over an alleged car theft.

According to a report by NAN, Naira Marley alongside two of his brothers and one of his cousins, Idris Fashola, 18, Babatunde Fashola, 24; and Kunle Obere, 22, were dragged before the court by the police on four-count charge bordering on conspiracy, stealing, assault and obstructing the arrest of Naira Marley.

NAN reports that the prosecutor, ASP Edet Okoi, told the court that the three defendants committed the offences on December 16th at Eko Hotel Roundabout on Victoria Island, Lagos.

Okoi said the trio who were in a motorcade with Naira Marley, allegedly stole a Toyota Camry vehicle with Registration No. FEE 120 AA valued at N1.8 million and an IPhone X5 worth N330,000 belonging to one Mr Adelekan Ademola.

He added that the three defendants and others at large assaulted the complainant by beating him up.

Reacting to this earlier today, Marley on his Twitter page made a mockery of the cause for his arrest.

He wrote:

"Car theft? maybe I need to post my Bentley, Porsche or benzo. If you lot like try stain my name from today till tomorrow I will still be the next president and who's Adeyemi Fashola aka Naira Marley. Another free promo I'm guessing."

The singer has now gone further to flaunt his whips on social media.

Ruggedman reacts to alleged assassination attempt of Angela Okorie

Nigerian rapper Ruggedman has taken to his Instagram account to react to the alleged assassination attempt of actress Angela Okorie.

Recall that Angela Okorie revealed that 10 bullets were removed from her head after she was shot. Not long after she posted this, some Nigerians mocked the actress and wondered how she did not die.


Reacting to this, Ruggedman wondered why some Nigerians act like they know it all.

"I too know wee not kee some Nigerians.

"@realangelaokorie meant to say pellets were removed from her head, not bullets.

"Wasn't that easy enough for you to deduce?

Singer Simi – ‘Most of the things I see on social media are fake, I want to leave social media at least 5 times a day’

Award-winning songstress, Simi has joined the league of celebrities who berate the activities on social media, saying she wants to leave the platforms for at least five times a day.

According to the "Joromi" crooner, it was sad that many do not see the wrongs in those activities.

Veteran Nollywood actress, Patience Ozokwor, is celebrating one of her daughters, Chioma, who turns a year older.

Bisi Alimi has aired his opinion on the viral movie on Netflix which portrayed Jesus as a gay man.

The movie sparked a lot of negative reactions on social media and a number of people, including Apostle Johnson Suleman, called for Christians to boycott Netflix.

Reacting to the controversy, Bisi has thrown shade at the Nigerians who have expressed their annoyance about the movie.

He wrote:

Court orders arrest, arraignment of Naira Marley over alleged car theft

A Tinubu Chief Magistrate Court in Lagos has ordered the police to arrest and bring for immediate arraignment musician, Afeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, over an alleged car theft.

According to a report by NAN, Naira Marley alongside two of his brothers and one of his cousins, Idris Fashola, 18, Babatunde Fashola, 24; and Kunle Obere, 22, were dragged before the court by the police on four-count charge bordering on conspiracy, stealing, assault and obstructing the arrest of Naira Marley.

Okoi said the trio who were in a motorcade with Naira Marley, allegedly stole a Toyota Camry vehicle with Registration No. FEE 120 AA valued at N1.8 million and an IPhone X5 worth N330,000 belonging to one Mr Adelekan Ademola. He added that the three defendants and others at large assaulted the complainant by beating him up.

Okoi alleged that the second defendant, Babatunde Fashola and others at large obstructed the police while performing their lawful duty and prevented them from arresting Naira Marley.

"One of the vehicles in the musician's motorcade hit the complainant's vehicle from the back while he was throwing out money from his vehicle to his fans. When the complainant came down from the vehicle to inspect the damage, Obere entered into the complainant's Camry and drove it off with the motorcade. Ademola reported to the police and the vehicle was tracked to where it was parked at Jakande Crescent, Oniru in Lagos.

"When the police arrived at the location in company with the complainant, Naira Marley and his boys started beating the complainant. A group of boys obstructed the police from arresting the musician but they were able to apprehend the three defendants," Okoi told the court

He said that the offences contravened Sections 112, 172, 287 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The Magistrate, Mr Tajudeen Elias, ordered the Investigating Police Officer (IPO), Sgt. Sunday Idoko, handling the case to present Naira Marley before the court on December 21st when the case would be listed for further hearing.

The two brothers of Naira Marley and his cousin appeared in court and were granted N500,000 bail with two sureties in like sum.

Orji Uzor Kalu: See what happened on Tuesday in court in EFCC case against Ex-Governor

The former Governor of Abia State and Senator of Federal Republic of Nigeria, Orji Uzor Kalu, on Tuesday prayed a Federal High Court in Lagos to grant him bail from the Ikoyi Custodial Centre pending determination of an appeal against his conviction.

Recall that Justice Mohammed Idris had convicted Kalu and sentenced him to a concurrent jail term of 12 years for N7.2 billion fraud.

The former governor was prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), together with his  former Commissioner for Finance in Abia, Jones Udeogo, and Kalu's company, Slok Nig. Ltd, Daily Post had reported.

They were charged on an amended 39 counts of fraud.


The trial, which started in 2007, recorded some set backs but eventually ended in October 2019 when parties in the suit adopted written submissions.

On Dec. 5, the judge found all the three defendants guilty.


He found Kalu and Slok Nig. Ltd. guilty of all the 39 counts of the charge, and convicted Udeogo on 34 counts.

Idris sentenced Udeogo to a concurrent 10 years' jail term and ordered that Slok Nig. Ltd. should be wound up and all its assets forfeited to the Federal Government.

On Tuesday, Kalu's counsel, Mr Lateef Fagbemi (SAN) informed the court of a bail application he filed on behalf of the former governor, seeking to be released on bail pending the outcome of his appeal against the judgement.

He told the court that the application was premised on 23 grounds and supported by a 38-paragraph affidavit.

Fagbemi added that after receiving the counter-affidavit filed by prosecution, he filed a 34-patagraph further affidavit with one exhibit attached.

Fagbemi also drew the court's attention to a notice of appeal against Kalu's conviction, and relied on the provisions of Sections 241 of the Constitution in urging the court to grant the bail.

"If there is a right of appeal, then there is a corresponding right of bail pending appeal," he said.

Citing Sections 6 of the Constitution, Fagbemi argued that the court had the powers to entertain such an application since post-judgement jurisdiction were anchored on the section.

He said that the bail would enable Kalu to attend to his health as well return to the National Assembly to carry out service to the nation.

However, EFCC counsel, Mr Rotimi Jacobs (SAN), opposed the bail application.

"Although, bail is generally a right of an accused as guaranteed by the Constitution, it is not a right available to a convict because the presumption of innocence had crystalized into guilt and conviction," he said.

According to Jacobs, an application for bail pending appeal is sparingly granted.

He said that such a bail could be granted in a situation where the term of imprisonment would have elapsed before determination of the appeal.

He argued that, that was not the situation with Kalu's case.

On Kalu's health condition, Jacobs said that there was no recent medical report to show his state of health, arguing that the medical report tendered in his case was done more than a year ago.

Jacobs added that the request by Kalu to be released on bail so as to seek traditional medicine was not a tenable, as visitors were allowed into the custodial centre.

"He says he needs his herbalist to treat him but he has not said that his herbalist came to the prison and was not allowed to see him.

"In one breath, the applicant is saying that he wants to be released on health grounds while in another breath, he is saying that as a senator, he needs to be released on bail so as to carryout his official functions," he said.

Citing the case of Federal Republic of Nigeria vs Joshua Dariye, he argued that the Nigerian criminal jurisprudence was robust enough to handle appeal and dispense with same within a reasonable time.

Besides, he argued that the medical facilities at the Ikoyi Custodial Centre were capable of handling Kalu's medical condition.

Liman adjourned the case until Dec. 23 for ruling on the bail application.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that EFCC had on Oct. 31, 2016, preferred a 34-count charge bordering on N3.2 billion fraud against the convicts.

The charge was, however, on July 16, 2018, amended and increased to 39 counts with the sum increased to N7.2 billion.

Tacha sues Blessing Okoro for character defamation, demands N20m compensation

Fast rising internet sensation, Natacha Akide aka Port Harcourt first daughter, has issued a letter from her lawyers demanding an apology from Blessing Okoro for character defamation.

Relationship blogger, Blessing Okoro who was once in the news for faking ownership of business man, Onye Eze's house, has been dragging Tacha on social media, calling her unprintable names, an orphan, and a nobody.


The disgraced blogger had also gotten into a conflict with some men in Enugu who dented her car during a road rage, but she rather posted a video claiming that the men were assassins sent after her by Tacha Akide.

Tacha did not address the accusation but yesterday, her fans released a letter allegedly from her lawyers, demanding an apology from Okoro and also financial compensation for the character defamation.

According to the letter, Tacha also demanded the sum of 20 million Naira in damages.

White woman replies Nigerians claiming her young Nigerian hubby married her just for papers

A caucasian woman identified as Debby, has replied internet trolls who accused her young Nigerian husband of marrying her in order to secure green card.

Michael and Debby got married a year and five months ago. Yesterday, they shared a video of them taking a stroll while holding hands. Internet trolls saw the video and left comments implying that Michael was after Princess for papers.

Replying a comment, Michael said he got his papers six months ago and still hasn't left Nigeria.

Angela Okorie is sleeping with a man and his wife – Lady claims

A Nigerian lady identified as @ifeoluwa.oluwa.712 on Instagram has alleged that actress Angela Okorie was having sex with a man and his wife, and that was the reason she was attacked.

A controversial socialite Ify Okoye, took to her page earlier today to claim that most actresses are into prostitution. Reacting to the post, Ify stated that the reason Angela was attacked was because she allegedly blackmailed the husband and wife, despite sleeping with the duo, on different occasions.

Ify Okoye had written

"If I ever address any Nigerian actress as "Ashawo" here and you come after me. Not even your horse hair would save you from the shlap you would receive from me. Angela caused her death…ohhh sorry! Alleged Assassination Attempt: Angela Okorie shares photo of pellets that were removed from her head

Nollywood actress, Angela Okorie has taken to her Instagram account to share photo of pellet that was removed from her head.

Recall that the actress claimed that she was attacked by armed gunmen over the weekend. She went on to reveal that about 30 bullets were removed from her vehicle with 10 from her wig which protected her head from getting hit.

While sharing the photos, Angela appealed to her fans to please pray for her as she expressed gratitude to God for sparing her life.

She wrote;

Lady calls out the ex-Queen of Iwo King says “Now you know how it feels”

A Nigerian lady identified as Amanda Bukky Allen has taken to her Instagram account to drag the ex-Queen of Iwo King, Chanel Chin.

Recall that Oluwo of Iwoland released an official statement that Oba (Dr.) Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, Telu I and his wife, Chanel Chin have separated.
