There are reports that Channing Tatum and Jessica J have ended their relationship after dating for a year.

According to PEOPLE, the former couple called it quits about a month ago. "There wasn't any drama. They just decided to part ways and are still good friends," a source tells PEOPLE of their split.

People also reports that another major reason they decided to go their separate ways was because of distance and different priorities coming in between them.


"Channing and Jessie have different priorities and focuses that don't really align. hey had a fun relationship, but it just didn't work out. Channing needs to be in LA a lot so he can spend time with Everly. Jessie prefers England. They are still friendly though," a close source tells People.

Nigerian event organizers are planning to stop organizing shows in Ghana; here’s why

According to Nigerian radio presenter, Olisa Adibua, Nigerian event organizers are considering to stop organizing shows in Ghana.

The Lagos based Beats 99.9 FM presenter made this known to Joey B and Guilty Beatz, when they appeared on a show at the radio station for an interview. According to him, Ghanaians don't welcome foreign events especially Nigerian events which have Nigerian acts.

" In terms of your people, it seems they don't like Nigerians coming through. I heard about one or two issues that happened with the Cardi B show as well recently… I heard somethings that were not good, and if you behave like that with Afronation, no one is going to come back to GHANA with a show" Olisa said.


The conversation ever since an excerpt of it made it to social media has attracted trouble for Joey B over concerns from fans that he could have spoken to defend Ghana on the matter. Watch the video.

Actress Mercy Johnson releases teaser for 1st feature film as producer titled "The Legend of Inikpi"

Mercy Johnson Okojie has added executive producer to her expanding career, here's the teaser of her upcoming historic drama "The Legend of Inikpi" which hits cinemas in January 2020.

Set in the ancient Kingdoms of Igala and Bini, 'The Legend of Inikpi' tells a compelling tale of two kingdoms on the brink of war. When the Oracle informs King Attah of Igala Kingdom of the human sacrifice demanded by the gods, the king plunges into despair; haunted by the ghosts of his past, this is a sacrifice he is not prepared to give!


The star actress took to her Instagram page to announce her new movie saying, "I have always wanted to tell Nigerian stories, particularly stories about women who did great things and who are even still doing greater things which is why the story of 'The Legend of Inikpi' is dear to me."

Many reportedly injured after VIP stage falls at Nativeland concert

There are reports that a number of people sustained injuries at the Nativeland concert held on Thursday, December 19, 2019, at the Muri Okunola park.

Several people have been reported to have sustained various degrees of injuries at the Nativeland concert which was held on Thursday, December 19, 2019, at the Muri Okunola park.

According to videos and photos which have been released by various people who attended the concert, the VIP stage caved in minutes into singer, Fireboy's performance.

Eyewitnesses who have been tweeting about the incident say the reason behind the sad incident was the overcrowded nature of the venue of the event. There were also reports of high handedness from the security operatives at the venue.

However, the organisers of the annual event have come out to release a statement. According to them, the crowd overwhelmed the security operatives and a lot of people came in with multiple unticketed entry passes.

They went on to apologise to 'Nativelanders' who took out their time to attend the concert while promising to get a bigger venue for their next concert. This apology, however, didn't go down well with a lot of people as they have been calling out Nativeland on Twitter.


Many say the organisers didn't properly handle the operations and logistics for the event which led to the collapse of the VIP section of the venue.

These are the 5 churches that don't celebrate Christmas and here's why

These religious denominations are opposed to the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ on December 25 every year.

Here are the denominations that don't celebrate Christmas and why they avoid it.

Jehovah's Witness

This religious organisation is one of the biggest group of Christmas-shunners. The interesting thing is that they were not always this way. Once upon a time, Jehovah's Witnesses used to observe Christmas. This was until 1928, after further study by one official.

According to spokesman J.R. Brown from the church's Brooklyn, New York, headquarters, this official's findings led to the church dropping the holiday.

The official found that this is based on"false religious beliefs or activities." Deseret News reports that this is explained in a 1993 book, "Jehovah's Witnesses — Proclaimers of God's Kingdom."

Still, it took a while for everyone to get on board with the new tradition of no longer celebrating Christmas.

Brown says after the group "cast aside religious teachings that had pagan roots, they also quit sharing in many customs that were similarly tainted. But for a time, certain holidays were not given the careful scrutiny that they needed. One of these was Christmas."

The major reason why they do not celebrate it because they believe the Bible would have said something if Christmas observance was important, however, they do not prevent others from honouring the day.

In Brown's words, Witnesses now ask themselves "does this please God, when it is not mentioned in the scriptures?"

How Witnesses now approach the holiday
Brown says, "If someone is dealing with you and they say, 'Merry Christmas,' we do not go into a sermon about the pagan origins.

"You don't make an issue of it every time because we have to face the fact that they mean well when they say 'Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.'

"We will say this is the time of year many people are actually thinking about Jesus Christ. Did you take notice of what he put their emphasis on in his life?"

Brown adds, "I personally go out. I'm 74, and I've done this since I was 4 years old."

Birthdays, Halloween, Easter, Mother's Day, New Year's Day, and Valentine's Day are also shunned because of their pagan origins.

Seventh Day Adventist Church
Like Jehovah's Witnesses, this church is also against the celebration of Christmas.

A publication from the group that goes to church on Saturdays, the Jewish Sabbath day, not Sunday reads: "We do not celebrate Christmas as the Birth of Christ per say since Christ was not born in Dec.

"He did not want us to celebrate His birth or He would have told us when He was born. It has become a money-making celebration with Christ mixed in. It is a pagan ritual.

"We join in to be with the Family or friends to celebrate their friendship and love as a family gathering and for the Children. Easter too is a pagan holiday and we do not celebrate the Name but we honour Christ's Resurrection and keep the day in mind on what He has done for us. We do not make an issue out of it but quietly honour Christ….it's a gathering also for the Children. It is a personal Choice."

Deeper Life
A few years ago, Pastor W.F. Kumuyi, the head of Deeper Life Bible Church announced to his members and the world that his church does not celebrate the popular holiday.

Explaining why at the 2013 December retreat, he said: "We don't celebrate Christmas nor sing Christmas carol; because Christmas is of idolatrous background."

God's Kingdom Society (GKS)
This is another church that is anti-Christmas. According to the church's official website, they believe that there is no single evidence in the Bible that Jesus Christ was born on the 25th of December.

Rather, they believe that He was born in October and that Christmas originated from "a noisy pagan festival in honour of the god of the sun".

While other Christians celebrate Christmas in December, this church celebrates the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ in October. This is done with something called the Freedom Day.

The church was started by St. Gideon Meriodere Urhobo in 1934 after leaving Jehovah's Witnesses. He lived from 1903–1952. The headquarters can be found in Warri.

Religious Society of Friends
There is a religious group called the Religious Society of Friends, also known as Quakers.

This church believes that "every day is a holy day," so there is no need to single out just one day to celebrate.

Another reason why they do not celebrate Christmas is that some Quakers are trying to go back to the ways of early Christianity.

Chris Pifer, a spokesman for the Friends General Conference, says, "There's an effort within aspects of Quaker practice to try and explore and find primitive Christianity, the church before it became a political entity.

"In very early Christianity, there weren't holidays like Christmas anywhere close to the form it is today."

Wikipedia reports that 52% of the group around the world can be Africa. Kenya reportedly has the largest number of Quakers in this continent.

According to the church's website, fwccafrica.org, the Nigerian branch started as a small worship group in Lagos in the early 1990's.

Fun Fact - Mountain of Fire Ministries (MFM) don't celebrate Christmas too. According to the founder, Pastor D.K. Olukoya, "We don't celebrate Christmas because the root is demonic."

Regardless of what these churches believe, billions of Christians around the world continue to mark Christ's birthday on December 25 each year.

Ryan Kaji, eight-year-old, who reviews toys has topped a list of the highest-earning YouTube stars following his 2019 earnings of £19.8 million.

According to a report by itv.com, Ryan made the hefty sum between June 2018 and June 2019 and topped the Forbes' list for a second year in a row.

Ryan launched his main channel, now known as Ryan's World, in 2015, and has gone on to have his own line of toys and other merchandise.

Online stunt sensations Dude Perfect was second, with £15.2 million.

Dude Perfect is comprised of five friends in their 30s who perform stunts and try to break world records.

A video of a Nigerian bride being walked down the aisle in an outdoor ceremony is currently trending on social media. However, while most brides often stay focused in that moment, this wasn't the case with this bride.

New York based Nigerian artiste, Speed Darlington performed his hit track, BangDadaDang at his pal, Zlatan's concert on Wednesday.

Recall that Zlatan headlined his first concert dubbed, 'Zlatan Live' at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island Lagos.

During the concert, Speed Darlington declared his intention of becoming the next president of Nigeria in 2023. Speed Darlington promised employment while stating that handicaps would also be taken care of and there will be free medicine.

Nigerian comedian, Owen Gee has stated that popular rapper, Naira Marley is currently the artist with the strongest fan base in Nigeria.

The rapper became a highly acclaimed celebrity after his recent drama with the Economic And Financial Crimes Commission over fraud-related charges.

OAP Lolo laments “My phone was stolen after Teni’s show, and the thieves withdrew N300k from my account”

Nigerian media personality, OAP LOLO, was recently a victim of traffic thieves after she attended singer Teni's concert in Lagos.

Lolo revealed that her phone was taken from her hand in traffic and later, the thieves transferred about 300 thousand naira using her phone and BVN.

Her post on Instagram reads;

"I have been off the gram since Monday night..my phone was stolen in traffic after I left @tenientertainer show..it was plucked out of my hand..phew

Banky W has taken a swipe at Nigerian lawmakers over the allocation of N37bn for renovation of the National Assembly Complex.

The singer who contested in the 2019 general election for a seat in the House of Representatives, stated that the leaders of the National Assembly have no conscience over the amount budgeted for the renovation project.

According to Banky W, N37Billion was budgeted to renovate an office building at a time the education and healthcare sector are in a state of emergency.

He tweeted;
