Anwar Sadat Chair for Peace and Development: Student Office Assistant Position Posted: 21 Jan 2020 08:01 AM PST The Anwar Sadat Chair for Peace and Development is accepting applications for a student office assistant for the spring 2020 semester. This is a paid position. We are looking for a student office assistant with excellent writing and oral communication skills, strong attention to detail, research experience, and a background assisting with events. Applicants with knowledge of SPSS, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Acrobat preferred. In addition, applicants with previous experience helping with events, both on or off campus, will also be given preference. If you are interested, please email your resume, a cover letter that includes your hours of availability, a one- page writing sample, and the names, titles, and phone numbers of two references to sadat@umd.edu. Please write "Sadat Chair Student Office Assistant Application" in the subject line. Applications will be accepted until Friday, January 31st, 2020. Assistant Analyst - Congressional Budget Office Posted: 21 Jan 2020 07:18 AM PST Assistant Analyst, Multiple Positions Job Category: Research Division Name: Various Divisions Description The Congressional Budget Office, a small nonpartisan agency that provides economic and budgetary analysis to the Congress, is seeking assistant analysts to work in various divisions. Specific duties vary by division, but most include research assistance, statistical analysis, database management, graphics production, literature review, and quality assurance. This is an entry-level position limited to three years. The position is ideal for those interested in substantive work experience before attending graduate school in economics, public policy, or a related field. The position is only for those who have or are completing a bachelor's degree; it is not for those who have or are completing a master's degree.
The starting salary will range from $47,000 to $50,000 and will be commensurate with related experience. CBO offers excellent benefits and a collegial, respectful work environment.
