About the Role: As a Data Intern, you assist the Analytics Department in transforming data into actionable business intelligence. This is a perfect opportunity for anyone interested in working in a fast-paced environment and learning more about database analytics and fundraising or non-profit marketing. This is a full-time, temporary (6 months), paid internship. About Your Responsibilities:
We are currently seeking a hardworking, detail-oriented intern for data related projects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the non-profit sector and possess strong written and verbal communication skills. We are looking for an organized self-starter who is eager to learn and make a difference in the world. Demonstrated experience with Excel and some Access experience is required. Experience working with SQL is preferred. An ability to handle multiple projects and to work independently and efficiently is essential. James Clark School of Engineering, University of Maryland, College Park works with Principal Investigators (PIs) through the development, submission, award, execution and close out of sponsored projects. The Coordinator advises faculty on all elements and procedures required for proposal preparation, development, and submission and on appropriate expenditures, award specific terms, and regulations. The Coordinator also obtains and follows solicitation instructions for the preparation of the proposals and prepares proposal budgets, gathers information to support the proposed costs, and completes all required sponsor cost proposal forms.
