The National Association of Counties (NACo) unites America's 3,069 county governments. Founded in 1935, NACo brings county officials together to advocate with a collective voice on national policy, exchange ideas and build new leadership skills, pursue transformational county solutions, enrich the public's understanding of county government and exercise exemplary leadership in public service. Primary Duties and Responsibilities The intern will work with the Research and Data Analytics team for through May 2020, with a possible extension based on need. The intern will assist in completing on-going data projects, data visualization and provide technical and administrative support. Qualifications and skills needed for the position are presented below:
Preference will be given to students with an interest in local/state government careers. Hours/Salary Interns typically work at least 3 full days, up to 24-29 hours per week, depending on the Department's needs and the intern's availability. This internship is paid. 2020 NYU Policy Case Competition Posted: 17 Feb 2020 06:16 AM PST The 2020 NYU Policy Case Competition is an annual team-based competition that brings together undergraduate and graduate students from across the nation to design and propose policy solutions related to a variety of current issues. Students can register in teams of 2 to 4 people with a $5 per person registration fee to compete. Finalist and semi-finalist teams have the opportunity to present and discuss their ideas to a panel of industry experts and the winning team will receive a paid dinner with leading minds in public policy.
