Relevant and engaging Search ads are critical to driving conversions. To ensure you're maximizing the full potential of your ads, it's important to set up your campaigns and ad groups correctly in Google Ads.
For starters, follow these 3 simple best practices:
- Set your ad rotation to "Optimize: Prefer best performing ads". Optimizing your ad rotation will allow Google to show the best ad for each and every auction.
- Use 3-5 ads with at least 1 responsive search ad per ad group. The more active ads and ad assets available in an ad group, the better Google is at showing the right message to the right user.
- Use at least 3 extensions for each campaign or ad group. The more ad extensions you use, the more likely your ad will meet consumer needs. For example, show location extensions for people who want to transact in-store.
