Gospel singer, Tope Alabi reacts after being criticized over her ‘worldly’ dance step

Nigerian gospel singer, Tope Alabi has reacted to being called out over her "worldly dance" in a video which went viral on social media.

Some social media users who called out the gospel singer, said she is deviating from who she was 10 years ago.

A Facebook user, Adeniji Aderogba wrote;

"This is Evangelist Tope Alabi oo.. What is this world turns to for God sake. The Tope Alabi I knew 10 years ago is totally different from this one. Hmmmm Ogun Esu gbe 'bon o!"

However reacting to the video in an interview on TVC's "Wakeup Nigeria", Tope Alabi stated that she needed that dance at that time.

According to the gospel singer, she was dancing at her father's burial and people with "spiritual eyes" will understand its meaning.

Wizkid has built anticipation for the impending release of the album before, but it has remained in limbo.

On February 20, 2020, Nigerian star, Wizkid took to his Instagram page to reveal that his long-awaited album, 'Made In Lagos' is finally done.

The message came via his Twitter account. He wrote, "Finally done! So you know what that means!" This came after he wrote that, "I('ve) been working on my album and my spirit." Finally, he also wrote that he appreciates his struggles, "Very happy for growth and God's guidance. I love my scars more than ever."

TBoss has obviously moved past the trauma from the negative comments she received after she revealed her daughter's face last week.

Burna Boy Flaunts Platinum Plaque After Stormzy’s “Own It” Goes Platinum In The UK

British rapper and singer, Stormzy and Burna Boy collaborated to produce a song "Own it" in 2019 and the song has now gone platinum in the UK.

Burna Boy took to Twitter to flaunt a plaque that was  presented to him as the song went platinum.


The song which has over 600k sales was released in November and its music video already has over 27 million views on Youtube.


Burna Boy took to his Twitter page to share a photo that shows a plaque given to him for taking part in the 2019 music single, "Own It". The "Ye" singer captioned his post, "Platinum", attached to the photos showing the plaque and the iconic "African Giant" chimpanzee sculpture.

Pop Smoke Wanted Me To Bring Him To Nigeria -Burna Boy Reacts To Rapper’s Sudden Death

Nigerian award-winning singer, Burna Boy, has revealed the receipts of his last conversation with American rapper, Pop Smoke few days ago before he was shot dead yesterday.

Pop Smoke whose real name Bashar Jackson, was at a rented home in Hollywood, Los Angeles, when two men wearing hoodies and masks entered the house and fired multiple shots. He was later rushed to the nearest hospital where he was pronounced dead.


Celebrities both in Nigeria and the US have been pouring in tributes for the slain rapper and Burna appears to be devastated. Taking to his Instagram story, the "Ye" singer revealed that he recently contacted the 20-year-old rapper on Facetime a few days ago and that the rapper wanted him to be the one to bring him to Nigeria.

He wrote: "Spoke to the realpopsmoke on Facetime just a few days ago. He really wanted me to take him to Nigeria. I'm in real shock right now.R.I.P this world is unbelievable.

Nigerian actress, Rita Dominic revealed that although a celebrity naturally associates flamboyant lifestyles, glamorous houses, expensive cars, that is not the yardstick to measure the wealth of a celebrity.

She made a post on her Instagram page on wednesday to enlighten fans that it is not all stars that live a lavish lifestyle, some are down to earth and practically live below their means.

Her argument aims to correct the mentality of many people who think celebrities that opt for a very low-key lifestyle don't have millions in their bank accounts.

Pop Smoke Exposed His Address On Social Media Before He Was Attacked

Up and coming rapper, Pop Smoke has unintentionally posted his house address on social media a few hours before he was shot and killed Wednesday morning in what appears to be a home invasion robbery.

The video has now created speculations that the 20years old rapper made himself vulnerable to the attackers that invaded his home and shot him dead.

In the video obtained from his page, Pop Smoke was making a shout out to his sponsors who delivered some items to him at home but little did he pay attention to his house address on the label and there are speculations that his address was screen recorded from the video.

TMZ reported that the rapper was at a home in the Hollywood Hills at around 4:30 AM when 2 men wearing hoodies and masks broke into a house … this according to law enforcement sources. The 2 men fired multiple shots, striking and critically wounding Pop Smoke. The men were seen fleeing on foot.

Sophia Momodu, mother of Davido's first child, Imade, took to her Instagram page to share some wise words to young mothers.

Among the many advice she gave in her post, is that mothers should try everything within their power not to "project their personal fears or trauma unto their daughters."

She encouraged mothers to pursue self love and never put their happiness in the hands of others.

Teebillz took to Instagram to celebrate his ex in a post some of his followers have described as spiteful.

Sharing a photo of Kenea Maete Udoh, who he has two kids with, he described her as the best mother to all his kids, including those she didn't give birth to.

He added that she's the only one he can trust to care for his kids if he's gone. He also thanked her for being the "best in his life".

He wrote: "beautiful beauty don't need no filter babe……… I'm grateful for ur love towards my kids! Khalil, Gaetano, Jamil, Bisi and Ona……. if I Die today you are the only woman I know will take care of my children! Thank you Maete for being the Best mom to my Children!!!"

Nollywood Actress Patience Oseni is dead

Veteran Nollywood actress, Pateince Oseni has passed away.

One of Nollywood's veteran actors, Patience Oseni has passed away.

The death was announced by Nollywood actress, Ejiro Okurame via her Instagram page on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, where she shared a photo of the actress and captioned it with a post.

"You fought a good fight 😥😥 God bless your soul as you meet with your Creator😫😥 Rest in Peace Legendary MA Patience Oseni," she wrote.

The actress is said to have passed away on Monday, February 17, 2020. May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace Amen.

Originally from Ogun state, the started her acting career in 1995 when she first starred in the movie 'Deadly Passion.' Patience Oseni rose to prominence in Nollywood back in the late 1990s with her role in the movie 'End Of The Wicked.'

The actress threw subtlety to the wind as a witch in the Helen Ukpabio movie, "End of the Wicked."

No on-screen or even off-screen villainous act beats a mother-in-law growing a penis with which she rapes her daughter-in-law.

She later went on to star in other movies including 'Heat Of The Moment,' Super Story (Series) and a host of other movies.

Dino Melaye acquires 2 bulletproof cars worth N726m and a vintage vehicle

Nigerian politician Dino Melaye has acquired three more cars to his array of cars.

The politician bought himself one vintage car and two bulletproof cars, the cars were a 1977 covette, a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon Limousine, and a Toyota Land Cruiser.

Former Nigerian senator, Dino Melaye, has given himself an expensive treat in the form of luxury cars. The politician, who is known as a car lover, added three more vehicles to his expensive cars.

The 46-year-old former senator bought himself one vintage car and two bulletproof cars.

Melaye customised the luxury vehicles to his taste.


According to reports, Melaye's bulletproof cars, the G-Wagon Limousine and Toyota Land Cruiser, were customised. The black G-Wagon came with a customised bar, a stool, and a TV.

The Land Cruiser also came with a customised mini bar, a frame, and screens. The G-Wagon cost 1.2 million dollars (N432m), and two cars together reportedly cost N726,000,000.

Recall that Nina got married last week with her husband reportedly absent at the event.

MI Abaga Goes Into Film Making As He Produces His First Bollywood/Nollywood Movie

Popular sensational rapper, M.I Abaga, has made his producing debut in a forthcoming Bollywood/Nollywood collaboration.

D’Banj – God will never take anything away from you without the intention of replacing it with something much better

Nigerian singer, D'Banj has said that God always has a plan for his children no matter the situation they find themselves in.

The living legend took to his Twitter account to state that God never takes anything from people without having a plan to replace it something much better.

Recall that the 'Oliver Twist' crooner lost his son in an unfortunate home incident in 2018 where he drowned in their indoor pool.

This however did not deter the artiste and his wife tried again and as at September 2019, he revealed that they are expecting another son.

Reacting, the On-Air personality made it known to Adeboye that women are not cooks or maids.

In his words; "So he can afford to pay his entire January salary as first fruit and 10 percent monthly as tithe, right? Just asking sir.

"A woman is more than a cook or a maid servant. These in my humble opinion, should not be the priority when choosing a wife in this decade.
