Yeni Kuti's daughter, Rolari has welcome her second child

Yeni Kuti has welcomed a second grandchild and she can't keep calm about the good news.

The singer and dancer took to her Instagram page on Friday, February 7, 2020, where she shared a photo of her daughter and the newborn baby. She then went on to reveal that the mother and child are in healthy conditions.

"Mother and daughter relaxing after a painful labour," she wrote.

Yeni Kuti's daughter, Rolari, gave birth to her first child back in 2018. The news of the arrival of the baby was announced on the official handle of the Afrikan Shrine.


Rolari is the only child of Yeni Kuti and late media personality, Femi Segun. Back in 2018, Yeni revealed that the thought of not being alive to see her daughter, Rolari, graduate from the university motivated her to stop smoking.

She said that she used to be addicted to smoking, but decided to put an end to her urges when she started having chest pain.

Davido appears on Nick Cannon's Wild N' Out

On February 6, 2020, a video of Nigerian superstar, Davido appearing on Nick Cannon's 'Wild N' Out' surfaced and went viral on Twitter. In it, Davido was seen performing a song with other guests on the show.
It was an indication that Davido would appear on the show for the second time under one year. The first time he appeared on the ketch comedy show, it was in April 2019. At the time, Davido also appeared on n Comedy Central Roast, South Africa where he seen roasting Pearl Thusi and rapper, AKA.

Nigerian singer, Iyanya has been arraigned before a court in Lagos for allegedly stealing a car

According to The Nation, the music star was arraigned before the Igbosere High court in Lagos before Justice Mobolanle Okikiolu-Ighile on Tuesday, February 4, 2020. He was brought before the court by the Police Special Fraud Unit (PSFU) Ikoyi for stealing a car.

The report says that the police filed the one-count charge marked LD/9024c/2019, against the singer on March 15, 2019.

Iyanya failed to appear in court for arraignment, despite allegedly being served with the charge and hearing notice, following which the arraignment was adjourned six times.

Justice Okikiolu-Ighile threatened to invoke the power of the court after the music star refused to show up at court. On Tuesday, February 4, 2020, Iyanya showed up at court where the charge was read before him.

The court heard that the defendant allegedly dishonestly converted to his use or of another person, a Black Toyota Land Cruiser Prado Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) marked MAVINIY, with Chassis and Engine numbers JTEBX7FJ7EK165480 and 2TR1385954.

The SUV in question is said to belong to 'The Temple Management Company Ltd. After the charges were read, Iyanya pleaded not guilty. The prosecuting counsel, however, prayed that the court remand the singer in prison custody.

This was however opposed by Iyanya's lawyer, Mr Williams A. He prayed the court to release the musician to him and undertook to produce him in court on the next adjournment. Justice Okikiolu-Ighile granted the defense counsel's prayer and released him to his counsel.

Justice Okikiolu-Ighile adjourned till February 27 and March 17, for ruling on Iyanya's bail application and commencement of trial.

Teni finally reveals when she will get married

Few days ago, Nigerian Singer, Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni D Entertainer shared a message she received from her mother who wanted to know when she will be getting married.

Apparently, the 'Billionaire' crooner has gotten tired of the endless questions as she has finally revealed when her marriage will happen.

A fan with the twitter handle '@badcity_' asked her:
"@TeniEntertainer when will you marry? "

Grammy-Nominated singer, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has shared the underlying reason why he didn't join the military.

Recall that the award winning singer was recently nominated for a Grammy award, which he unfortunately lost to Angelique Kidjo.

Burna, however, has shared how good a 'shooter' he is and why he didn't join the army.

Singer Simi: “Puff puff is the best part of small chops”

Many of us must have attended wedding ceremonies, birthday parties or hangouts where small chops (finger foods) were served as refreshment.

A typical small chop package contains some balls of puff puff, Samosa, Spring Rolls and Chicken or meat.

People have varying opinions about the quantity of the package, with some complaining that the puff puff is usually more than the other chops, while others have opined that the large quantity makes you appreciate and savor the Samosa, Spring Roll and chicken more.

Popular singer, Simi, has shared her own thought about the package via Twitter, and she believes that puff puff is the best part of it.

Mayorkun slams troll who said his song is ‘trash’

Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, professionally known as Mayorkun, has lashed out at an online troll who referred to his song as 'trash'.

Mayorkun recently released a track titled 'Geng' and it has been receiving huge reviews and promotions by fellow artistes like Peruzzi and Ycee, to the extent that it was translated to a frequently used slang among youths.

Well, a troll who listened to the song and apparently was not impressed, took to Twitter to criticize it by saying it is trash.

He tweeted: "Geng by Mayorkun is TRASH…."

But Mayorkun would not sit and watch anyone condemn his song so he fired at the troll and told him to sing his own song if he (troll) does not like 'Geng'.

"Drop your own if iNo try ", Mayorkun replied.

Iyabo Ojo denies fighting with her colleague over a married man

Popular Nigerian actress, Iyabo Ojo who recently called her colleague a witch, claims the outburst wasn't over a man but something more serious.

According to Iyabo Ojo, her outburst on February 5 was not over a married man, as she alleged that what goes on in the movie industry is much more "deep, dark and spiritual" than what everyone thinks.

Mikel Obi fights back tears during interview after he was ‘racially abused by Fenerbahce fans’ on social media

Former captain of the Nigerian Super Eagles John Obi Mikel, fought back tears as he spoke about the abuse he and his family received on social media on Saturday, February 1.

Mikel received a lot of hateful and racist messages via his social media accounts. His wife Olga Diyachenko was also targeted.

The alleged abuse came after his team Trabzonspor defeated their arch-rival Fenerbahce 2-1. Turkish media detailed how abusive messages were sent to the player's Instagram page. 'including use of the N-word and banana emojis'.

During the match, Mikel was involved in a furious argument with Fenerbahce midfielder Emre Belozoglu at the final whistle, they 'had to be separated by team-mates.'

In an emotional interview with Turkish TV, the former Chelsea midfielder opened up on about the abuse.

"A lot has been said about this – the issue of racism but since I've been here, my team and colleagues at Trabzonspor have been very nice to me, there's not been any issue." he told Turkish TV.

"After the game on Saturday, I started getting messages on my Instagram, even my girlfriend getting instant messages of racism and hatred.


"Very scary messages towards me and my family and kids. There's no place for this.

"I don't think this should be happening and I think these people should be held responsible. They shouldn't be allowed to come to games.

"I'm very disappointed with this – especially my girlfriend, my family, my kids. They are only four years old, why do you talk about my kids?

"I am very sad about this, it's a very disturbing time for me."


His club, Trabzonspor have confirmed an official criminal complaint about racist abuse allegedly suffered by the former Chelsea midfielder.

In a statement released, Trabzonspor wrote: "Racism is a shelter for helpless and ignorant.

"We condemn the racist attacks against our player Obi Mikel after the match against Fenerbahce and we bring to the public attention that a criminal complaint has been filed against the assailants. #WeStandwithObi #SayNoToRacism"

Yul Edochie: “It’s best for Catholic priests to be allowed to get married”

Popular Nollywood actor Yul Edochie who recently shared his view on Celibacy and got a lot of backlash for his opinion, has taken to social media to air his view on Catholic priests.

The actor made this known via his Twitter page, where he stated that he believes it's best for Catholic priests to be allowed to get married. Yul Edochie who asked not be questioned, said his thoughts came from getting older and wiser.
