King Perryy: Fireboy, Rema, Joeboy are not in my league

Nigerian artist, King Perryy also known as the Continental Boy has a message for those comparing him to Fireboy, Rema and Joeboy.

Perryy immediately became a household name after the release of his track "Murder" with Teni and so far he hasn't slowed down with delivering hits.

However, there have been speculations that the likes of Fireboy, Rema, and Joeboy who all came out in 2019 are already bigger than him.

The "My Darlina" singer who is currently signed to Timaya'sDM record label addressed the topic in a recent interview.


According to him, he should never be compared to anyone because he is on his own lane.

He added that he hates comparisons and should be compared to people like his boss, Timaya and Burna Boy.

Perryy was quite pissed at the interviewer for asking such and ended the interview by walking out angrily.

Burna Boy Consoles Hollywood Actor, Idris Elba After He Tested Positive for Coronavirus

Singer, Burna Boy has sent out some love to Idris Elba who shocked the world after he tested positive for the deadly coronavirus.

Hollywood actor Idris Elba had earlier announced that he tested positive for Coronavirus despite not showing any symptoms of the virus, and millions of fans and fellow celebrities sent in heartfelt wishes, including Burna Boy.

Their relationship, however, is not new to the public as the award-winning Hollywood actor was among the numerous celebrities who attended Burna's Album release party for 'African Giant' last year.

Burna took to his Twitter page to share the heartfelt message.

He wrote:

"Sending love to my bro @idriselba and everyone affected in these uncertain times. ??"

Eniola Badmus stuck in London, fears for her life because of Coronavirus

Actress Eniola Badmus has cried out over the coronavirus pandemic which has gotten her trapped in London.

Sharing a video on Instagram, Eniola Badmus stated that friends have been inviting her to come to have some fun with them in London but she has been afraid of going out.

According to Eniola Badmus who recently travelled to Dubai, self-distancing is the best practice towards preventing oneself from contracting the virus which has killed thousands across the world.

Comedian I Go Dye postpones show over Coronavirus

Comedian I Go Dye has postponed his 25th-anniversary show which was to hold on 12th April Easter Sunday over Coronavirus concerns.

This was after Nigeria announced that it has confirmed five new cases of coronavirus in the country which might lead to advise against large gatherings.

Issuing a press release on social media to notify the public, I Go Dye wrote:

"PRESS RELEASE DUE TO THE GLOBAL THREATS FROM #coronavirus #covid-19 ,

Olakunle Churchill has reignited his long-running feud with his estranged wife and mother of his son, Tonto Dikeh.

Last night, the entrepreneur and philanthropist shared a video of himself taking part in the #stayathomechallenge which is being done by footballers around the World.

Many of his followers were surprised by his prowess in the video, some others jokingly said they doubted he was a '40 seconds man' in bed as previously claimed by his estranged wife.

When one follower wrote: 'And dem sey Baba no fit do pass 40 seconds, Baby still fit ooo.'

The father of one replied: No mind them awon onibaje, olorun maje ki a kan agbako. When you Dey enjoy he no 40 seconds.


In another reply to one of his followers, Churchill wrote: 'no mind yeye talk joh, before na my King Kong, My Mr X, After separation Mr.X no be MR X again, MY King Kong turns 40 secs Man. '

Evangelist criticizes Gospel Singer Mercy Chinwo’s Dressing, calls it Seductive

A certain Nigerian evangelist has taken to his Facebook to criticise Mercy Chinwo's looks.

The preacher, Victor Edet, is upset because he feels that the gospel singer's outfit are seductive. "You can't be singing gospel songs and be seductive at the same time," he wrote.

He continued, "A true Christian should look decent and not seductive, Mercy Chinwo Beware!!!"

Falz blasts Sanwo-olu for begging Nigerians to donate and complete the 2billion Naira Abule Ado relief fund

On Sunday, March 15, an explosion rocked Abule Ado, Amuwo Odofin local government area of Lagos state. The explosion was widespread as it hit schools, houses and office complexes, leaving 17 dead and many injured.

Lagos state governor, Babjide Sanwo-olu visited the site for on-the-spot assessment of the situation, then he made a pledge to set up a 2 billion naira relief fund for the victims.

However, he decried the Lagos state government's inability to solely raise the funds, hence his decision to call on well meaning Nigerians to donate to the cause.

A day after making the pledge, the governor revealed that N250 million has been pumped into the fund as he released bank details to which well-meaning donors will deposit the remaining N1.75 billion for the victims of the Abule Ado explosion.

But Nigerian musician, Falz who believes that the state is financially buoyant enough to come up with the 2 billion naira called it a joke.

Falz, taking to his social media, wrote: "What kind of joke is this? Who are you asking to donate?"

Coronavirus: Singer Simi cries out to FG says "Close these borders"

Nigerian singer, Simi Ogunleye simply known as Simi has called on the Federal Government of Nigeria to shut down the borders, following news that the third case of coronavirus has been confirmed in Nigeria on Tuesday.


The talented singer who spoke via her official Twitter handle further queried why the government is yet to take the measure.

Simi made the call following public outcry on the FG that a restriction should be placed on flights from nations prevalent cases of the deadly virus.

Coronavirus: Banky W advises those who came into Nigeria from affected countries

Nigerian musician, Banky W has dished out an advice to those who came into the Nigeria from affected countries.

The "strong thing" crooner took to his Twitter page to urge them to obey authorities and self-isolate their selves.

Report coming in has it that there are five new confirmed cases of the fast spreading virus, coronavirus. This increases the total tally to 8 in Nigeria.

"For Nigerians arriving from affected countries, PLEASE obey the authorities instructions & self-isolate for 14 days. Please. It's not about whether you feel ill or not. It's possible to have the virus & not feel any symptoms. If you know anyone who just got back, please warn them", he wrote.

Olga Allegra has fired back at a social media user who called her partner, Mikel Obi a "pu**y" hours after he terminated his contract with Trabzonspor FC.

Mikel John Obi terminated his contract with the club hours ago, even though he still had a year on his contract.

It was gathered that he gave up all his remaining wages in order to end his time at the club less than a year after joining.

Though no reason was given on why the Nigerian footballer called off the contract with the Turkish club, however his Instagram post earlier this week gave an insight on why the decision was taken.

Mikel wrote;

Mikel Obi's girlfriend who insisted that her family comes first, slammed the troll she described as "vile".

Lagos closes schools over Coronavirus fears

As part of the preventive measures to contain the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic, the Lagos State Government has announced the closing down of all public and private schools from Monday, March 23, 2020.

According to a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information, Mrs Folashade Adefisayo, the move became necessary to prevent children and their teachers from getting more vulnerable to the pandemic.

"It is important for parents to ensure that their children practise 'social distancing' while at home, wash their hands regularly or use hand sanitisers and observe high standards of personal hygiene. Children should be encouraged to remain at home.

"The closure is not intended to create panic but to arrest the spread of the disease, which has become a global threat," the statement said.

This comes after governors of the north-west region announced a 30-day closure of schools to prevent the spread of the disease.
