| Yul Edochie - "My father named me after Russian-American stage actor, Yul Brynner" Posted: 17 Apr 2020 01:30 AM PDT  Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has revealed his father and legendary actor, Pete Edochie named him after famous Russian-American stage actor, Yul Brynner.Yul made this known in a post on Instagram while noting that he shares so many things in common with the late 'The King and I' star.He wrote: 'My father named me after this great actor Yul Brynner. He was an outstanding stage and film actor, with a deep voice.I seem to have grown to be just like him, same looks too, same eyes, same bald head, though my nose is way bigger than his.So I'm just thinking…. The name you give to your child, does it play a role in the development of that child??' Yul Brynner was famous for portraying King Mongkut of Siam in the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical The King and I. The Russian-American stage actor died of lung cancer at the age of 65 in New York City.  |
| Posted: 17 Apr 2020 01:00 AM PDT  Leicester City star midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has revealed how he felt the first time he met former Super Eagles captain and ex-Chelsea player John Obi Mikel.Mikel Obi who spent over a decade at Chelsea before making moves to Turkey and China, is Nigeria's most decorated player having won the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, AFCON, FA Cup, Carling Cup, Premier League and Club World Cup Speaking about Mikel in an online Q&A, Ndidi said: "I was nervous when I first met him in Belgium. I couldn't take a picture with him, I was scared. Even in training, I couldn't be close to him and tackle him. "Mikel is a legend that we do not appreciate enough. He is a big name and a legend. The first time I couldn't talk to him at all. "Only if there was a conversation going on that I could join in. I couldn't talk to him on a one on one basis."  |

| FG shuts down Med Contour Plastic Surgery Facility after several complaints Posted: 16 Apr 2020 04:37 PM PDT  The Federal Competition & Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) has shut down Med Contour plastic surgery facility, days after a botched surgery at the medical center led to an uproar on social media.The FCCPC commenced an investigation againt Med Contour after receiving petitions against the facility's owner, Dr Anu Fella. The plastic surgeon was accused of engaging in unprofessional, misleading and potentially injurious conducts.Med Contour's facility in Lagos was sealed on April 15, by the agency, in an abundance of caution & consumer safety pending further inquiry.       |

| Jussie Smollett reportedly involved in a sexual relationship with one of the Osundairo brothers Posted: 16 Apr 2020 07:00 AM PDT There are reports that Jussie Smollett was in a sexual relationship with one of his alleged attackers, Abel Osundairo.  The Osundairo brothers were named in the alleged attack on Jussie Smollett back in 2019.PageSix reports that the two were frequent callers at an upscale Chicago gay bathhouse."They used to party together and he had a sexual relationship with [Abel]. They went to this affluent Chicago bathhouse multiple times and they had to show ID."It's known as a bathhouse where a lot of affluent black gay men hang out. There should be a record [of their visits," an insider told PageSix. However, the Osundairo brothers, Abel and Ola have come out severely to debunk the notion that they are homosexuals. In a suit filed against Smollett's lawyers, the brothers say the comments put them and their family, who are Nigerian, at risk due to the country's laws that state homosexuality is punishable by up to 14 years in prison.  "We have sat back and watched lie after lie being fabricated about us in the media only so one big lie can continue to have life. These lies are destroying our character and our reputation in our personal and professional lives." the suit read. Smollett was allegedly attacked in Chicago back in 2019 in what he termed was racially induced. The 'Empire' actor was later indicted by a jury on a sixteen count charge for spearheading his own attack, a claim he has continued to deny.  |

The 2020 edition of the BBNaija reality TV show is supposed to be gearing to take center stage in Nigerian television but appears unlikely due to the coronavirus pandemic which has shut down major global activities. The organizers of the event are yet to issue an official statement on whether the show will be holding this year or not.
