“He raped me the first night we met” Ex-wife of Oluwo of Iwo reveals he lured her into marriage

Posted: 17 Apr 2020 10:00 PM PDT

One of the prominent traditional rulers in Osun State and Yorubaland in general, the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdurrosheed Adewale Akanbi Telu 1 is in deep mess after his ex-wife accused the King of a number of things including rape and deception.

The ex, Chanel Chin, who has lived in Canada all her life but is from Jamaica, said she met Oluwo when she came to Nigeria as a tourist with friends.

She arrived the country in December 2015 and in January 2016, she said she was informed by one of the Nigerians in the group that there's a coronation coming and she wanted to go to experience the African culture. Her friends tried to discourage her, warning that the area is a "bush". However, she said she didn't want to see just "Lagos and Lekki" but wanted to experience other parts of Nigeria.

She went on to narrate how she went for the coronation then returned to Lagos. While in Lagos, she met the Oluwo again at an event held by a Lagos monarch.

She said she was introduced to the Oluwo of Iwo then.

She added that when she was in a party in Ikeja for an event attended by the Oluwo, she retired early to her room because she had drank too much. This was on February 2, a month after his January 2016 coronation.

She said that she woke up at 3 am to find the Oluwo on top of her in her room, with her clothes discarded.

She said she told him "no no no. Get off me."

But, she claims he told her that he is a King and that once he "extends his leg" to her, she can't refuse him. She adds that after raping her, he decided to compensate her with marriage.

She said during the interview with GIO TV: "Tell the people that you raped me the first night you met me."

She added: "One month later, I missed my menses and I was pregnant."

She asked Nigerians to do the math, stating that Oluwo's coronation was Jan 2016, she met him in Feb 2016 and her baby was born in Nov 2016.

She explained: "November from February is 9 months."

She then narrated how she was taken to Iwo the day after the alleged rape and her shock when she arrived.

She said: "That's when I met Oluwo, February second. He raped me and because he raped me, the next day, he said to me, 'we're going to the palace. we're going to Iwo and I'll make you queen.' So I went with him.

"The very next day, when we got to Iwo, there was no palace. The palace didn't even have a roof. There was no palace. We were staying in one Barrister Atanda's home. He's also based in the UK. He can attest to this.

"There was no palace, there was no royal… there was nothing."

She said that her marriage to the Iwo made her an enemy to many women who, till date still send her DMs, calling her a "bad woman". She claimed this hatred from women stems from the fact that the King had promised most of them marriage.

Chanel Chin said: "There was even a family that came, they were so upset because Oluwo disvirgined one girl from that town and promised that family marriage. So, when that family got to find out one Canadian was with this King, that is when he went to the news.

"Because he promised a lot of women… He started sleeping around with a lot of women, from Lagos to Iwo to Osogbo, to Ibadan. He was sleeping with a lot of women and promising them Olori.

"So, when people started to find out, 'oh there's one Jamaican woman living with him', that is when he went to the press and put this fake news about his wife from Canada, that he married me in Canada and that I came to Nigeria to claim my rightful spot, which was a lie.

"So, even before I stepped foot in that palace, I already had a gang of enemies."

The ex-Olori of Iwo added that she's the Oluwo's 5th baby mama and her child is the 9th child. She said this as she accused the monarch of sleeping around with women and getting them pregnant.

Chanel Chin was also asked to react to allegations from the Oluwo that she's a runs girl who had sex with him on the first night they met and she replied:

"Go and ask your king that if I'm a runs girl, why did he put the crown of your ancestors on my head. I was wearing the crown of your ancestors. So, go and ask your king that. Why did he put the crown of your ancestors on the head of a runs girl."

The Facebook Live interview with Chanel Chin is a lengthy one that lasted for 5 hours and 44 minutes. In it, she made a lot more allegations about her ex-husband, some of them so damning that people commented to say they fear for her safety.

Maximizing the Leftovers this Lockdown (1) by Gena Lavish

Maximizing the Leftovers this Lockdown (1) by Gena
Pineapple peel tea

So lockdown has me very low on supplies lately. No regular supply especially, of my fav drink: the pineapple peel tea.

Then I got gifted a giant Queen Pineapple on Monday. 💃💃💃💃 was a miracle moment even!

(I "hoarded" it for 2 days before I summoned the courage to sink my knife in!)

First thing Wednesday morning I made my pineapple peel tea.
Instead of discarding the ingredients as I would usually do, I thought to infuse again and keep for use the next morning.

So I boiled hot water, poured over the pan, and covered it to infuse.

The next morning I reheated the brew, poured out a cup and sipped. Behold the taste was even richer than what I had derived the previous morning!

So I dared to do same again.

The picture above is that of this morning. The third brew. The taste is slightly lighter than yesterday's, but sweet and refreshing nonetheless.

I dared to infuse yet again, for a fourth brew. 😜
Talk about wringing water out of a rock. Well it remains to be seen, or tasted, the level of my progress. But I'm optimistic. Nature is full of surprises.

I'll tell us the outcome tomorrow.

So do not be quick to dispose your leftovers this period of scarce supply. A lot can be derived out of naught.

Find my pineapple recipe in the comments.

The singer in a series of tweets shared via his Twitter on Thursday, April 16, 2020, revealed he had been paid the stimulus package

"Got Stimulus Payment from the US lol, will share to my friends here," he tweeted.

He went on to troll those who were spreading the rumours about his ban from the United States.

Omobutty – I make more money trading than acting

Posted: 17 Apr 2020 04:00 AM PDT

Nollywood actress, Biodun Okeowo, popularly known as Omobutty, has said that she makes more money while doing business rather than from acting.

She told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that this was because of what she called "huge responsibilities".

She said that could not meet up her needs through acting, hence, the need for her to go into business.
"I pay more attention to my business than acting Although I love acting and the entertainment industry, money is also important," she said.

It can be recalled that Omobutty took to social media last year to state that acting doesn't pay her bills. She wrote back then;

"Many times I have been asked if acting is what pays my bills, I'm here to tell you the truth!! It is not.

"The money most of us collect is not enough to foot all our bills, especially those of us with huge responsibilities, reason some of us started paying attention to businesses years ago. That is why someone like me have done less movies and focused more on businesses that is more profitable.

"Acting will give you name, recognition, often more access and in some cases very supportive fans. My advice is as you come into this industry or continue in this job, have a legitimate side business, build quality relationships, become a serious minded business woman and expect less from any man.

"I have had people talk about men making women in the industry rich and I wonder what man can make you rich and help you sustain wealth like a business will do.

"So my advice again, focus on yourself building legitimate businesses, all the rest will just be an addition. If you are lucky to meet a man who adds more to your wealth, all well and good, please grab it with both hands. There's nothing wrong with addition, ogun subtraction ni ka ma ri (may we not encounter subtraction In JESUS Name). "

Swanky Jerry tells his story says “I got no financial support in the beginning”

Posted: 17 Apr 2020 03:30 AM PDT

Top Nigerian designer Swanky Jerry, has narrated his inspiring journey to success, as he urged his fans to not only want to be like him, but greater.

Taking to Instagram, Jerry who was made the Forbes 30 under 30 list, revealed that he got no support financially or emotionally when he started his business.

He also shared some throwback pictures, showing the early days of his career.

See what he wrote below;

"In the beginning ……

I have gotten countless messages, emails, DMs, etc from young Africans all over the continent inspired by my journey and most of them ended their messages with "I want to be like you when I grow up". I couldn't reply everyone, but I took my time to read every message.

Don't be like me, BE GREATER.

But know that nothing good comes easy.

I failed many times, some days I almost gave up… I tried different things, different jobs and just kept pushing. My goal has always been to inspire at least one person out there, but with the amount of people who reached out to me, God!! I'm so moved to know that I have inspired so many young people to never give up on their dreams… better days are always ahead.

This pandemic has given me so much time to reflect on life and my journey and just be grateful for every moment. Listen I'm that boy that knows almost everything and everybody. I started off working as a PR agent helping other people's businesses grow intensely.

For example, say you started a small business and wasn't doing well, I would step in and make it blossom because I can literally make people buy an item they don't need just because of the way I have sold it to them. This is what they call "sweet mouth" LOOOL.

Earlier in my life I worked as a PR agent for clubs, beauty brands, small fashion companies and the list goes on.

And because I was so sure of myself, I would always opt for commission as mode of payment for my services; I always refused to be paid a salary because I felt like it would be me cheating myself. My strategy was to simply bring the client and get a percentage on what they spend, and this went on for a few years.

Fast forward to 2012 where I started my brand "SWANKY'S SIGNATURES". I struggled with the business at first because I didn't get any support financially and emotionally. That same year, I managed to pull off a small launch event with the help of a few friends Things started to pick up… fast!

YOUR DREAM IS VALID DONT GIVE UP."

Ubi Franklin’s 4th babymama 'Sandra Iheuwa' claims Xenophobic attack stopped the producer from visiting his son in SA and 3rd babymama reacts

Posted: 17 Apr 2020 02:30 AM PDT

Ubi Franklin's third babymama, Nicola Siyo, has responded to Sandra Iheuwa's claim that Xenophobic attack stopped Ubi from coming to see his son, Shiloh in South Africa.

Recall that Nicola called Ubi out on Instagram yesterday April 15, after he wished her a happy birthday on Instagram.

Nicola stated that Ubi has never met their son, Shiloh, since his birth in April 2019, but is fond of posting his photos on Instagram to suit his public image.

Ubi reacted to Nicola's claim, stating that he never fails to meet his financial obligations to all his four children and that he cannot be there physically for his kids because of work.

Sandra who is Ubi's fourth babymama, thereafter, took to Instagram to defend Ubi after Nicola called him out for being an absentee father. Sandra stated that Ubi sends Nicola money regularly for the upkeep of their child, so she shouldn't be complaining.

Sandra who has since settled her rift with Ubi Franklin after he initially denied her pregnancy, stated that Ubi couldn't make it to SA when Shiloh was born in April 2019 because of all the Xenophobic attacks and that Ubi had offered Nicola money to bring Shiloh down to Nigeria but she refused.

Nicola has now responded to Sandra's claim. See her response below.
