[Photos]: Paralyzed old woman pulled from grave alive, three days after son buried her

A 79-year-old disabled woman who was allegedly buried alive in a deserted tomb by her son has miraculously survived after being trapped in the pit for nearly three days, according to authorities.

Police in north-western China's Shaanxi province rescued the paralysed mother, known by her surname Wang, on Tuesday after the woman's daughter-in-law reported her missing.

The 58-year-old son, known by his surname Ma, has been detained and faces an attempted murder charge, according to the police. An investigation on the incident is underway.

Disturbing footage shows Ms Wang covered in mud while being pulled out from the burial pit by two police officers.

Surprisingly she was found still alive after nearly three days without food or water.

Zimbabwean actress and TV personality who is based in Nigeria, Vimbai Mutinhiri and her longtime boyfriend, Dru Ekpenyong, did not let the Coronavirus stop their plans of getting hitched.

The lovebirds got married today in Calabar, with the groom's brother, Asuquo Ekpeyong, giving an update on Instagram.

He shared some photos from the sweet moment and captioned:

Hollywood actor, Idris Elba has been seen in London for the first time since recovering from his battle with coronavirus.

Idris along with his wife Sabrina Dhowre Elba, 30, tested positive for a 'very mild' strain of the coronavirus in March but has now fully recovered.

The actor was spotted enjoying a walk near his home on Saturday, after he and wife Sabrina returned from self-isolating in New Mexico last month, where Elba was filming when he became ill.


Putting on a casual display for the outing, the Luther star looked relaxed as he strolled through his neighbourhood as part of his daily exercise during lockdown.

Idris wore a simple black logo T-shirt that fit loosely on his torso, and which he paired with faded denim jeans.

Gay Model, Kyle Goffney has walked out of his one-month-old marriage to his partner Felipe, on grounds of infidelity.

Kyle who made the announcement on Instagram said he gave three years of his life to Felipe, which according to him was all for nothing as Felipe is in love with someone else.

He further revealed that it's going to be hard to trust again, as he adviced his followers to be careful of who they fall in love with and also make sure it's mutual.

He wrote;

I never in a million years thought this would be me. I've been married for a month, and now I have to get a divorce. I can't stay married to someone who is in love with someone else. We all were a family, but pay close attention to the friends you allow in your life and in your home.

The movie star in a post shared via his Instagram page on Thursday, May 7, 2020, highlighted the need for men to treat women as equals.

Duncan first shared photos of his new girlfriend back in February months after his marriage to Jessica Kakkad crashed.

It would be recalled that in 2019, Kakkad broke the news of their divorce subliminally via Instagram.


Duncan went on to release a statement confirming Kakkad's Instagram post. Their marriage lasted for only three years.

The Ali Baba led committee will offer ideas on how the government can mitigate job and revenue losses in entertainment industry

The Federal Government of Nigeria has appointed key entertainment industry stakeholders into a committee set up to advise the government on ways to mitigate the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic on the industry.

The Minister of information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed confirmed the appointment on Wednesday during a meeting with the Broadcasting Organization of Nigeria, BON.

He disclosed that the Ali Baba led committee will offer ideas on how the government can mitigate job and revenue losses in entertainment industry while suggesting the type of financing that is best for the industry considering the changes caused by the pandemic.


The committee consists of Bolanle Austen Peters, Charles Novia, Segun Arinze, Ali Jita, Baba Agba, Kene Okwuosa, Efe Omoregbe, Prince Daniel Aboki, Chioma Ude, Olumade Adesemowo, Dare Art Alade and Hajia Sa'a Ibrahim.

Anita Eboigbe of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) is the committee's secretary.

Yaa Jackson has announced that she has seen the true light, therefore, she is ditching her past life.

The Kumawood actress, who has been gaining notoriety with her growing risque personality on social media, has shared photos of herself decently dressed in a white dress to say that "Past life over. Recognized my saviour now and in him is life."

The 20-year-old continued that "I'm more than aware now we will die and leave everything on this earth." Adding why she is making this decision now, she added in her caption that "My repentance is because of the Death happening across the world now."

Over 50 exciting new titles are coming to Netflix this month including the streamer's second African original series, 'Blood and Water'.

Also coming to the platform this month are three new Nollywood titles; 'Anchor Baby' , 'The Delivery Boy' and 'Light in the Dark'.

While 'Anchor Baby' is billed to begin streaming on Netflix from May 20, 'The Delivery Boy' and 'Light in the Dark' will premiere on May 14 and 18 respectively.

Anchor Baby


The 2010 award-winning thriller follows the struggle of a Nigerian couple who defy deportation orders and go into hiding to secure their unborn child US citizenship. The movie is produced and directed by Lonzo Nzekwe and stars Omoni Oboli and Sam Sarpong.

Light in the Dark


The 2019 Ekene Som Mekwunye directed drama follows the story of a couple who struggle to mend their marriage after a terrifying home invasion. It stars Rita Dominic, Kalu Ikeagwu , Joke Silva, Bimbo Ademoye among others.

The Delivery Boy


Written and directed by ace cinematographer, Adekunle Nodash Adejuyigbe, the award-winning thriller tells the profound story of an orphaned boy who runs into a young prostitute on a fated night. The pair contend with their pasts before the night ends. It stars Jammal Ibrahim and Jemima Osunde.

Wife of American TV personality Ray J has filed for a divorce

The couple's relationship went sour after Princess Love claimed that she was left stranded in Las Vegas by her husband back in 2019.

The couple got married about four years ago and have two children together.

According to TMZ, Love filed the divorce documents on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, in a Los Angeles County superior court.


The 'Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood' reality TV star and her husband have been at loggerheads for a few months over an incident that occurred in Las Vegas back in November 2019.

According to her, Ray J left her and their child stranded in Vegas while she was heavily pregnant for their second child.

Filmone has released a new teaser for its upcoming 'KambIli: the whole 30 yards' ahead of its yet to be confirmed new release date.

The latest teaser stars the romcom's supporting acts, JideKene Achufusi and Sharon Ooja who play the characters Chidi and Linda.

Written by Isioma Ogbaji and directed by Kayode Kasum, the movie follows the story of a irresponsible spendthrift who embarks on a plan to convince her boyfriend that she could be his dream woman. Nollywood actor, Kevin Ikeduba has sparked reactions from Nigerians after making a shocking statement on social media.

During a live Instagram session, the actor claimed that God has left Nigeria. According to him, God can answer individual prayers but as for Nigeria as a country, God has since left the country.

Backing his opinion, he stated that Nigeria has the most influential pastors and Islamic clerics in the world, the country also has the biggest worship centers, so they do not need God.


"God does not recognize Nigeria as a country, God recognizes the individuals. God left this country a long time ago. We have the richest pastors and alfas in the world.

We are the country that goes to mosque Friday to Friday. We are the only country that goes to church Monday to Monday. Na we dey do fasting, na we dey do everything. But look at our country, so who have they been praying to you."

Oluwa-Tosin Silverdam, a vlogger and self acclaimed media expert has called out reality star, Mercy Eke for being excessively 'local' and 'annoying' in nature.

Tosin slammed the ex-BBNaija housemate alongside some other reality stars like Tuoyo, Ifu Ennada, Gifty and Khloe.

According to him, they are trying to so much to trend and remain relevant on social media, but it's not working because they're not up to standard.


Speaking on his hatred for Mercy Eke, he said;
