| Letter to CBN for immediate arrest of Prophet Odumeje, 'Indaboski' Posted: 12 May 2020 01:00 AM PDT  Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria (HURIWA) has urged the Central Bank of Nigeria governor, Godwin Emefiele, to order the arrest of the controversial Onitsha based prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere also known as Odumeje.HURIWA wants Odumeje arrested for his serial abuses of the Nigerian Naira and other denominations during his public ceremonies in Onitsha.The National Coordinator Emmanuel Onwubiko and the National Media Affairs Director, Zainab Yusuf on Sunday in a statement said it had resolved to write officially to the Minister of Finance, CBN governor and President Muhammadu Buhari to implore them to defend the naira against global defacing of the naira notes. "We have watched with disappointments as this self-professed prophet Odumuje kept abusing and defacing the national currency and both the Police and the CBN have failed for many months to stamp their authorities and prosecute these serial abusers of the national currency,"the statement reads. "We ask the CBN to ensure that that the legal provisions that should have protected the naira notes from abuse which are today being observed more in the breach than in compliance should be reversed. "It is true as observed recently by a patriotic citizen that quite disappointingly, CBN and the security agencies have had their eyes glue-closed while the nation and its inhabitants suffer from preventable abuses of the national currency. "Just as we reaffirm and re-echo the fact as stated by an observer that as it were, the law against abuse of naira has been in place for over a decade, yet the CBN is still at the stage of "awareness creation" and "sensitization" of the citizens whereas religious houses are openly celebrating the abuses of the national currency which is a legal tender that ought to be respected by the citizens and everyone in Nigeria." HURIWA recalled that according to Section 21(3) of CBN Act 2007 "spraying of, dancing or matching on the Naira or any note issued by the Bank (CBN) during social occasions or otherwise howsoever shall constitute abuse and defacing of the Naira or such note and shall be punishable under Sub-section 1 of this section."  | ||

According to him, the actor always looked fresh, handsome, and bursting with so much energy.He noted that the actor was appearing everywhere in those days. As expected, followers of @TWEETORACLE reacted to his tweets about the actor. They reminisced on his roles in movies and how they miss him. | Egbezi releases 2nd project, "Afrocentric: The Adaptation Album" Posted: 11 May 2020 07:00 AM PDT  Ebizimor "EGBEZI" Ogbe - never forget that name- is set to break grounds in the Hip-Hop world and sooner than you expect too.Egbezi dropped his Sophomore album titled "Afrocentreic: The Adaptation Album" .He's dropped this at a perfect time due to two factors; This is a time in which Hip-Hop music is on the up-rise after being on the under for so many years, this is many thanks to MCs like MI Abaga, AQ, Vector, SDC, Paybac and a whole lot more.Second reason as to why there wasn't a better time than this is because the timeline between late last year and now have highlighted the success of debut/sophomore projects and the amount of ground still-rising artists have covered, popular examples include the success of Fireboy, Oxlade, Terri, Chike and a string of others.Like earlier stated, Hip-Hop has dominated 2020, we hardly get times like this and it is imperative that rising Hip-Hop MCs take advantage of the direction of the current waves. Egbezi took advantage. Just like its title suggests, this is a project that clearly demonstrates the growth of Egbezi as a rapper from his debut album "No Fear: The Inoculation Album". Afrocentric is an album that centers around self discovery and the manipulation of bars/punchlines to pass messages such as The Society's situation, Motivation, Bragging rights, Getting famous , even Love and so much more. All these while on Hardcoreproduction and an equally beautiful and impressive feature list including Paybac Iboro, Payper Corleone and Azikey. All the components that make a Rap/Hip-Hop project are in good form on Afrocentric, Lyricism is the type that makes you want to check Google, the fact that I have listened to this multiple times showcases its replay value. Rap technicality and Impact are also decent while its production could have been better (Still solid anyway!). Track-by-Track Review  Afrocentric' Tracklist 'Adapter' introduces us to the album, the 1 min 30 seconds track is just Egbezi free-styling to a loopy sound. Next Up 'Unbrkbl' pays homage to the early 2000s Naija Hip-Hop while its chorus gives Angelique Kidjo vibes, 'Its Okay To Be Different' awakens you to this project, although he struggled with the mid-pace of the beat, the catchy keys and his name calling of Rap legends just has a crown to it. 'Tolerance' is a fans' favorite, this is because a lot of things connect on this track, the amazing vocals of featured artist Asikey just compliments the slow beat while Egbezi raps passionately from his heart, 10/10 highly recommend. 'Hope U Know?' is a love rap song, yes you heard right, here he sings about hustling just so he and his partner could live an amazing life. Getting to the second half of the album begins with 'Don't Dance' with a very catchy chorus and lyricism that proves this is for the streets, then one of the best songs on the project 'Yepei' owns a production that just goes crazy with drums and bass keys, Egbezi just keeps going with the flow. Payper Corleone as a feature on any Hip-Hop project is a W even for the biggest rappers in Africa, his influence resonates into making 'Blast' arguably the best Rap song on here; it contains the best flow and production on the album, and punchlines for days from both Paybac and Egbezi, Track 8 is a must listen! Paybac Iboro off the success of his CULTalbum is one of the hottest Hip-Hop prospects out there and he showed that on 'Somebody Lied', the Fela Kuti-inspired production just gives room for the rappers to swim freely with lyrical flows. How about a Motivational song to end the album? Egbezi finishes the album in the best possible way with 'S.O.A.W' which means 'Soul of a Winner'. He talks about his rise to where hes gotten to now and how he grew up to become an Hip-Hop MC with Two Album Projects at a young age of 22. In Conclusion: The massive talent of Egbezi is the template on which his Hip-Hop Career will be propelled, all this under the impressive tutelage of a proper Record Label which is Boundless Dr:mz Entertainment. | Lebanese-born Nollywood actor, Bilal Nosser rescued by the police after Kidnap Posted: 11 May 2020 02:00 AM PDT  Kidnapped Lebanese-born Nollywood actor, Bilal Nosser a.k.a Mr B has been rescued by the Rivers State Police Command.The actor who was being taken to Ndashi forest in Etche Local Government Area of the Rivers State by his abductors, was rescued by a police team attached to Okehi Police Station in a sting operation carried out on Saturday May 9.Nosser's Toyota Venza which was also seized by his abductors, was recovered by the police team.Recounting his ordeal after being rescued, Nosser said he was lured from his residence in Owerri with a fake business and movie deal by the suspected leader of the criminal gang who introduced himself as Clifford. "I woke up around 9a.m on Friday, after my Ramadan fasting and night prayers, I saw a message on my iPad Phone, that said, Mr. B, please call me I have a business for you. "I dialed the number, his photograph pooped up, then I asked who he was, he introduced himself as Mr. Clifford and quickly added that he has a business for me. "He continued, there is this new hotel we will like you to take over its management and again we are also making a new film, we need a White man and we know that your an actor and stays at Owerri, so you have to come over let's discuss it. "He then told me where i will meet with his driver somewhere around Imo Airport junction, who will come and bring me to the said hotel for me to see it and thereafter, we discuss the business."  "Mr. Clifford gave the driver my phone number, and equally gave mine to the him (the driver), when I got to the place (Arab contractors), I called the driver and informed him that I was there, in less than two minutes the driver was already standing before me, he asked if I was Mr. B. I said yes. "We continued to run inside lonely bush part, in villages, I began to pray inside of me, then we got to an isolated area, some persons rushed out from the forest, they began to beat me with cutlass, they had one locally made gun, they were beating me all over, my mouth, face, back, neck they was saying, today you don enter, all the money you have in your bank account you must use your ATM to transfer all to us today otherwise we will cut you into pieces, they continued to hit me. "I was shocked confused over what was happening, because in the last 30 years i have been in this country, Owerri precisely, I have never been attacked any day.  "After, those people that beat me, joined us in the car, they were pushing and hitting me to enter the car, by now the vehicle was tight, they were three in number, I managed to squize myself in the middle." The State Police Commissioner, Mr. Joseph Mukan confirmed the rescue of the Lebanese and arrest of one of his captors identified as Faith Nwagor. Mukan said; "Operatives of the Okehi Police Station led by the DPO in a sting operation last night stormed a forest in Ndashi, Etche Local Government Area, where they rescued Mr. Bilal Nosser, popularly known as Mr. B.  "Bilal Nosser is a renowned Nollywood actor, who was kidnapped in Imo State and taken to a forest in Ndashi, where he was rescued by the DPO and his team. "In the course of his rescue, one of the members of the gang by the name Nwagor Faith 'm' who was keeping watch over him was arrested, while others took to flight. He has made useful confessions and named other members of his criminal gang. "Also, the Toyota Venza belonging to the victim has been recovered."  | ||
