Nigerian artiste, Adekunle Gold, has eulogized popular singer, Ayo Ibrahim Balogun, who is better known by his stage name, Wizkid.

Gold in a short tweet on Sunday evening, asserted that the self-styled Starboy has massive supporters and wished he could own just a quarter of his fan base.

Writing further, Gold also talked about the undying love Wizkid's fans have for the singer.


Taking to his page on the micro-blogging platform, Adekunle tweeted;

"Imagine having a quarter od Wizkid's fans and love. Crazy! Man is blessed."

Crew member shares how video vixen Kodak died; insists Clarence Peters was not at the scene

A crew member who claims to have been a witness to the death of video vixen, Love Divine, better known as Kodak, has narrated how she died, while insisting Clarence Peters was not at the scene.

The crew member known as Melvn gave his narration of the event after Clarence Peters was called in for questioning over Kodak's death at his house (read here).

Melvn said music director, Clarence Peters was not present when Kodak died, a claim Clarence's girlfriend of 14 years also made (read here). He also claimed that the incident happened in a studio, and not in Clarence's house.

Recounting the events that led to her death, Melvn began his narration by warning against the use of phones with a metal body.

Melvn said Kodak was charging her phone which has a metal cover and she was also trying to use a metal socket while her body was sweaty with no shoes. He added that, suddenly, they heard a bang which got them curious.


"We looked back to see what happened and saw a spark on LD's phone lying on her chest, we rushed to her to see that she had been electrocuted," the Melvin said.

"We carried her somewhere safer, tried to revive her, she was responding with gasps, her colleague was calling her name, I went out to call for help, then Clearance was notified.

"After first aid, we carried her in a car and went to hospital in the estate, they wouldn't even open gate.

"We moved to another hospital, finally, doctor came and checked her and said she was dead…."

Nigerian controversial entertainer, Charly Boy, popularly known as Area Fada has advised Nigerian celebrities, especially the very wealthy ones to be humble.

The alternative lifestyle celebrity made this known in an Instagram post.

Charly said: "Be humble as pride is as loud a beggar as want, and a great deal saucier".

He advised Nigerian celebrities to "calm down for Jesus", as pride goes before a fall.

Nigerian controversial journalist Kemi Olunloyo has reacted to the arrest of Clarence Peters in connection to the death of Kodak.

Recall that Clarence was yanked by the police with an entire set over the death of video vixen, Kodak.


According to Kemi, there is an alleged murder cover-up which she has solved but can't share details.

The journalist also pointed out that it is the severity of the case that has made it difficult for Sir Shina Peters to bail his son.

Nigerian singer Rema has shared that making money is not the ultimate goal in his craft.

The singer took to Twitter to make this known to his fans and followers as he wrote that money isn't his goal.

Rema who has gained some international recognition over the years may be looking for something else which he failed to mention in his tweet.


However, when asked what may be the goal by his fans, Rema failed to answer.

Popular Nigerian artiste, Aboriomoh Femi Raymond, better known by his stage name, Dremo has slammed a Twitter user who pitched him against his industry colleague, Ycee.

GistReel has reliably gathered that trouble began when an upcoming Nigerian Disc Jockey, DJ Jini, identified with the username @dejinious_, took to the micro-blogging platform, Twitter to post a photo-mix of Dremo and Ycee, while asking who raps better?.


On seeing the post, infuriated Dremo took to the retweet button to give the Twitter user a heavy knock by telling him that soon, people will put of his photograph and that of his friend side by side while asking who fv.cks her wife better.

Taking to Twitter, angered Dremo retweeted:

Brymo Shades 99% Of Nigerian Artistes, Says They Can’t Perform Live, Write Or Sing That Good

Former Chocolate City record label artiste and Nigerian Singer, Ọlawale Ọlọfọrọ Ashimi, popularly known as Brymo, has mocked big names in the Nigerian music industry.

In a short tweet which the singer posted on the micro-blogging app, Twitter, the "Ara" crooner asserted that majority of Nigerian artistes comprising over 99 percent can neither pull commendable live music performances, write great songs nor sing "that good".

He wrote: "Your faves still can't perform live tho..!! Can't write…. Can't sing that good…. 🤣🤣🤣🤣"

However, a twitter user who appeared more of a troll than a follower, asked him; "If you're not bold enough to mention their names, then what's your point?"

Brymo who seemed ready and in the mood to catch cruise with the troll, retweeted; "I can't name 99% of the artistes in the country…. 🤣🤣🤣🤣"

Nigerian pop superstar, Davido revealed that he has recorded a song with Nicki Minaj.

Davido made the revelation in a tweet. The singer made the announcement and also thanked Nicki Minaj for the feature.

He also announced that Speroach Beats produced the tune.

The US based actor made this known while reacting to a tweet of a Ghanaian man who mocked Ghanaian musician after Davido announced his collaboration with Nicki Minaj.

Video director Clarence Peters detained and questioned by police over alleged murder of video vixen

Ace video director, Clarence Peters has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for questioning over the alleged murder of dancer Love Divine, popularly known as Kodak.

Kodak who is a popular dancer within the Nigerian music scene, allegedly died from electrocution at Peters' residence a few days ago.

Peters who Pulse learnt was working on an isolated shot with Kodak shortly before her death and others present at his house that day have all been arrested and detained by the police.


While Kodak was reported to have died from electrocution, the police are investigating suspected murder.

According to the spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, Bala Elkana, Peters is looking at a possible murder charge.

"They are detained. It is a full-fledged investigation. It is a murder charge. We are probably looking at murder. We are not concluding at this stage. If she died of electrocution according to reports, it is left for us to find out. Was she actually electrocuted? What went wrong? An autopsy will also show'' Bala is quoted to say by blogger Linda Ikeji.


Kodak who was said to have been electrocuted while charging her phone was pronounced dead on arrival at a close-by hospital shortly after.

Kodak was popular in the industry for working with Clarence in videos for acts like Burna Boy, Tekno, Davido, Olamide and more.
