Actor, Jnr Pope's wife pens down eulogies to celebrate him on his birthday

Businesswoman, Jennifer Awele-Odonwodo has taken to social media to celebrate her husband and Nollywood actor, Jnr Pope Odonwodo as he clocks 36 today.

"Meet your next president" she said as she wished him a "very happy birthday" and also referred to him as her king.

Writing further, Jennifer prayed for Jnr Pope, declaring that his latter years shall be better than the former.


"You're such an amazing man, the kids and I are so proud of you" she informed him and also went ahead to profess undying love for him.

Taking to Instagram, the excited wife and mother of 2 wrote;

Dino Melaye debunks marriage rumours with actress, Iyabo Ojo

Former Nigerian Senator, Dino Melaye who represented Kogi-West Senatorial District during his tenure in office has debunked speculations making rounds about him getting ready to walk actress, Iyabo Ojo down the aisle soon.

The controversial senator often referred to as "SDM", made this known in a tweet he shared Today May 7, 2020 on the micro-blogging platform.

Recall that recently, reports went viral on the internet alleging that Senator Dino Melaye intends to wed popular Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo soon.


The viral reports also claimed the Senator had secretly engaged the said actress sometime ago.

The Senator who became enraged moment his attention was drawn to the viral news, took to his official page on Twitter to debunk the rumours.

"SDM is not a criminal and can not have a secrete engagement" he noted.

"People using me to promote their blogs and for publicity stunt will have to start paying" he warned.

Writing further, the Senator wondered if "match making two different pictures and writing rubbish now equal to engagement."

Nollywood actor, Mofe Duncan has taken to Instagram to implore men to treat women better.

According to him, a real man never hurts a woman and when you make a woman cry, God counts her tears.

He shared the post alongside a photo of his new girlfriend who he showed off recently, almost a year after he confirmed his divorce from his ex-wife, Jessica Kakkad.

Starboy Wizkid's first son, Boluwatife has mentioned the things he wants for his 9th birthday coming up on May 13th.

Popular Nigerian artiste and DMW music honcho, David Adedeji-Adeleke, who is better known as Davido, has revealed that the entire recording phase of his soon to be released album "A Better Time (ABT)" is finally complete.

The multi-award winning singer made this known Today, May 6, 2020, in a short tweet he shared on the micro-blogging sphere, Twitter.

This is coming moments after the singer revealed he's featuring international female rapper, Nicki Minaj, and also few hours after his junior industry colleague, Peruzzi revealed that the foreign act had sent in her verse for the song which Davido featured her.

Cameroonian-born singer, Dencia has clashed with multiple Instagram users who criticized Bobrisky because he dresses and behave like a woman.

It all started when Dencia shared a video of Bobrisky dancing and captioned it "God has blessed her abundantly" .

However, some Instagram users who felt infuriated with her caption, reminded Dencia that Bobrisky is a male.

Others said that "God is not aware" about Bobrisky changing from "man to woman".

Nollywood actress, Ruth Kadiri has appealed to the Federal Government of Nigeria to disburse the sum of ₦5000 to every Nigerians.

The actress made the appeal in a video she posted on her Instagram page.

She said:

"This is a message for the federal government, "Your Excellency, too much respect from my end. Coronavirus is a pandemic that we all never expected, but it's here. And I pray that this message gets to you somehow.

Coronavirus and poverty are best friends (she smiles). The virus lures you out through poverty, infects you and kills your family.
The thing is, it's not something we can see or touch, it means that you have no idea who is infected. It means that when you are infected, you have no idea whether your immune system will be strong enough to fight it.

I beg you, we know Nigeria is able. You all brought up the policy of BVN, we all have all our BVN, I have more than five accounts but they all operate on that one BVN. Please even if it is N5000 monthly , put it in our accounts, I promise you we will stay at home. Even if it is N5000. People are not working anymore to be rich, at this point, people are working to survive. And you'll be amazed what N5000 can do in the life of somebody and then family members.

Clarence Peters granted bail, days after arrest over death of video vixen

The video director was granted an administrative bail days after the police commenced investigation into Kodak's death.

Nigeria video director, Clarence Peters has been granted bail days after his arrest over the death of video vixen, Love Divine also known as Kodak.

Peters was arrested over the death of Kodak at his residence.

According to reports, the video director was granted an administrative bail four days after the police commenced investigations on the death of the dancer


Independent reports that the investigation included a visit to the director's home studio where she died and an autopsy conducted by the Lagos State government, which showed the dancer died from the effects of electric shock while charging her phone.

It would be recalled that Peters was arrested by the police over the death of Kodak, a story he had debunked.


The police had in its statement said that Peters was going to remain in its detention pending the outcome of the autopsy.

Kodak was electrocuted while charging her phone at Peters' residence.

Kodak was popular in the industry for working with Clarence in videos for acts like Burna Boy, Tekno, Davido, Olamide, and more.

Grimes has confirmed that she and partner Elon Musk have named their newborn son X Æ A-12.

The 32-year-old singer, who gave birth Monday, took to Twitter to explain that each of the characters in the baby's bizarre name represents something special to the couple.

'X [represents] the unknown variable,' Grimes wrote, referring to the first letter of X Æ A-12's name.
She then went on to explain that the next symbol in her son's name was inspired by fantastical elves.

'Æ is the the Elven spelling of of Ai (love &/or Artificial intelligence),' she stated.

The final symbol in the name, Grimes explained, is a reference the A-12 aircraft built for the CIA in the 1960s.


'A-12 = precursor to SR-17 (our favorite aircraft). No weapons, no defenses, just speed. Great in battle, but non-violent,' the star stated.

She also added that A additionally stands for 'Archangel', 'her favorite song'.

DJ Khaled has pulled off a responsible gentleman move that deserves a gold medal.

The globally famous 44-year-old record producer decided to hop on Instagram Live to connect with his fans for a one-on-one interaction but one daring lady offered to give the DJ more than he begged for.

The father of Asahd and Aalam quickly reminded the Instagram user that he is a family man yet she continued with her attempt to twerk whilst wearing booty shorts leaving her goodies on display. Daring as she is, she poured water on her cakes to put on a show but Dj Khaled quickly ended the session.


The music business mogul later posted a recording of the live session with the lady and reminded his fans that he has nothing but love for his fans and urged them to be respectful. 'Picture Perfect' producer confirms a series is in the works

The upcoming series will be released exclusively on ROK studios platforms.

2017 romantic comedy, 'Picture Perfect' is coming back to the screens as a TV series.

Producer, Biodun Stephen recently revealed via Instagram that the first and second season are already set for release. Follow up seasons are however still in the works.

'Picture Perfect The Series' is produced by Stephen's production company, ShutterspeedProject for ROK Studios and will exclusively screen on ROK platforms.

Rick Ross' pregnant baby mama, Briana Camille is suing him over child support and legal fees.

The singer is furious at the way some Nigerians have failed to follow the guidelines instituted by the government.

Nigerian veteran singer, Daddy Showkey has come hard on those who are violating the health guidelines issued by the government since the ease of the lockdown order.

The music in a video shared via his Instagram page on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, expressed his displeasure and annoyance over the way some Nigerians disobeyed the guidelines instituted by the government after the ease of the lockdown.

"Instead make all of una sit down for one place una go bank go dey rush. Una nor know say na una life una take dey place? After una go say government dey chop money. You think say this time na chop money time," he said.

"Dem tell una make una do social distancing...we don talk we don tire.Una nor like una life, people dey try give una food, people dey try do things make una dey alright...na die wan just start if una nor know. Una nor fit do social distancing, stay your own I stay my own.


"Nigeria we have a long way to go, this death wan just start if we nor hear wetin government dey tell us.

Showkey's statement is coming on the heels of the videos that went viral on social media showing a lot Nigerians totally disobeying the health guidelines put in place by the government.

It would be recalled that about a week ago, the president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari had eased the lockdown order on Lagos, Ogun, and Abuja after weeks of shutdown following the surge of coronavirus.

The social networking site recently announced that it is set to provide a new way for artistes to earn money on the platform.

"You'll be able to mark Facebook Events as online only and, in the coming weeks, integrate Facebook Live so you can broadcast to your guests," it said in a press statement. "To support creators and small businesses, we plan to add the ability for Pages to charge for access to events with Live videos on Facebook – anything from online performances to classes to professional conferences."

This means Ghanaian artistes with massive Facebook followers will soon be raking in thousands of dollars every week if they subscribe to the new tool.

So far, Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, and other female stars like Becca, Efya and Wendy Shay are the most followed artistes on Facebook.

Considering the volume of their followers, they will be able to make some extra dollars off their craft.

The Mark Zuckerberg-led company is also introducing Messenger Rooms video calls for up to 50 people. WhatsApp will offer group voice and video calls with up to eight people. Portal users will soon be able to go live from Portal to Facebook Pages and Groups.

Jaywon reportedly arrested and arraigned for violating Lagos state curfew order

The singer is said to have pleaded guilty and was fined the sum of N10,000 with 30 minutes of community service.

Singer, Iledare Olajuwonlo-James popularly known as Jaywon, has been arrested by the police for violating the curfew order issued over the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Punch, the singer was intercepted by police officers monitoring the curfew order at about 11 PM on Monday, May 4, 2020.


Jaywon was then taken to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Panti, Yaba, where he was charged before a mobile court after his statement had been taken.

The report also says the singer was arraigned before a magistrate court on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, where he pleaded guilty and the presiding magistrate ordered him to pay a fine of N10,000.

He was also sentenced to do community service for 30 minutes.


According to Punch, when it reached out to the state public relations officer, Bala Elkana, he said Jaywon was among the 179 persons arrested for violating the curfew and refusing to use face masks in the state.

The Lagos state government had issued a curfew order on the state as part of measures to gradually ease the lockdown due to coronavirus.
