| FG suspends flight company indefinitely for flying Naira Marley to Abuja Posted: 15 Jun 2020 11:30 PM PDT  The Federal Government has reportedly suspended the operations of ExecuJet for flying Naira Marley to Abuja for Saturday's musical concert.The Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika was quoted to have announced the suspension on Monday.According to DailyTrust, ExecuJet is an international business aviation company headquartered at Zurich Airport, Switzerland with facilities operating in Africa, Asia Pacific, Caribbean, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.According to the Minister, the company had given false information and used approval granted for an illegal flight operation to convey the musician to Abuja.

| Nigerian cross-dresser, James Brown says that he has a purpose for his life Posted: 15 Jun 2020 10:30 PM PDT  Popular dancer and cross-dresser James Brown has taken to social media via his Instagram page to share that he has a purpose for his life.The Nigerian social media space now seems to be a safe space for cross-dressers in the country as more of them continue to come out of the closet and showcase themselves.Gone were the days when these people faces so much criticism as many of them now have fans who look up to them and enjoy their content on social media.One of such people is the popular young cross-dresser known as James Brown. The young man became an internet sensation after a video where he was arrested by policemen alongside others and paraded for being suspected to be gay, made the rounds on social media. James Brown who is also known as 'they didn't caught me' on social media took to his Instagram page to address those who still call him names and hurl insults at him. | BBNaija's Khafi Kareem's brother, Alexander shot dead in London Posted: 15 Jun 2020 07:30 AM PDT Alexander Kareem, brother to ex-Big Brother Naija housemate, Khafi Kareem has been killed in London. The 20-year-old died from gunshot wounds to his chest and abdomen.Alexander was reportedly shot at Askew Road in Shepherd's Bush on Monday, June 8, 2020, by a yet-to-be-identified person after a trip to a convenience store.According to the BBC, the 20-year-old died from gunshot wounds to his chest and abdomen. Detectives have said that a white Range Rover linked to Alexandra's murder was found burnt out three miles away from the scene of the incident. Police are yet to make any arrest but Insp. Wayne Jolly, who confirmed the incident said, Alexander was just 20 years old when his life came to an end in such a tragic way. He said, "We are determined to bring those responsible for this unnecessary and terrifying violence to justice. "His family are truly devastated and ask that their privacy is respected while they come to terms with their loss." However, following her brother's murder, Khafi has called for prayers for her family. Marley held a concert on Saturday night in Abuja after he flew into the Federal Capital Territory in a private jet despite ban on interstate movement and flights.The federal government had announced that only flights repatriating Nigerians and with essential goods are allowed in the airports till further notice.The concert by Marley has raised eyebrows on Twitter as Nigerians question authorities for allowing such crowd despite increasing cases of coronavirus in Nigeria.Here are some comments gathered from Twitter: @OlisaOsega "I know Naira Marley stays in Lagos and not Abuja. | Pastor Adeboye – "What God will do to all Rapists around Nigeria Posted: 15 Jun 2020 06:30 AM PDT  The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, says he and his prayer warriors will not rest in prayers until the perpetrators of r*pe are accorded stiffer penalty. He said God will fish them all out.Adeboye said during a live programme on DOVE TV, monitored in Ibadan on Sunday, that the issue of rape had become rampant in the society.He described r*pe as bad and unbiblical that it could leave a permanent scare on the victim for the rest of her life.According to him, there is no pain that can be compared to the pain on the parents whose daughter had been raped."Myself and prayer warriors will not rest in prayers until the perpetrators of this evil are brought to justice, not only in Nigeria but all over the world. "Everyone who has ever committed rape, particularly in Nigeria and the world, the all-knowing God will fish them. "As much as I hate death sentence, I think every form of punishment that will be given to a rapist cannot be considered too severe. "Anyone, who ever thinks of raping someone again, the almighty God will stop them even before they do so and if they insist God will take them away. "I am calling on every Christian all over the world to please join me in this prayer," he said. Adeboye also urged the faithful never to embrace the spirit of 'good enough' because it could be an enemy of greatness. "Your journey to the top begins when you start sensing that what you call 'good' is not enough; the greatest enemy is when you think that you are already great while you are still incomplete. | Pastor Adeboye Reveals That He, His Wife And Grandkids Will Not Attend Church For Now Posted: 15 Jun 2020 06:00 AM PDT  Pastor Enoch Adeboye announced on Sunday that he and his wife will not attend church services as the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG re-opens in Nigeria.He spoke today during the online Sunday service of the Church broadcast on Dove Television.The 78 year-old General Overseer said he and his wife will not be part of such gatherings in Lagos in observance of the protocol of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.The NCDC advises people above 65 years to keep off large gatherings, such as religious services.Adeboye also said his grandchildren will not be part of the services because they are under 15. He said he will continue to conduct online services for some weeks. He said Pastors under the Church are free to resume services with their congregation or continue with the virtual worship. "We want to thank the Almighty God that some of us will begin to gather again as from next Sunday. "I believe that some of you are already gathering in some parts of the world and we believe that you will now begin to enjoy power of corporate prayers once again. "But as you gather together in all those places where you are free to gather, please remember those of us who cannot gather with you yet. "People like me and my wife cannot gather with you in Lagos because we are over 65 years of age and my grandchildren cannot gather with you yet because they are under 15 years of age. "So, remember us in prayers, so that very soon, we will be able to join you. And now that you are able to pray together corporately. "I am sure that your prayers will be far, far more effective against this plague so that very soon, all will be well. | Ibadan records 3rd rape-murder in two weeks as another student loses life inside church Posted: 15 Jun 2020 04:00 AM PDT  A young girl identified as Grace Oshiagwu, has allegedly been raped and murdered in a church mission building at Idi-Ori, Sasa-Ojoo in the same Akinyele LGA, Ibadan, Oyo State, where the two previous incident happened over the last two weeks.The 21-year-old National Diploma student of Oke Ogun Polytechnic, Saki, was butchered on Saturday by yet-to-be identified criminals.Sadly, this makes it the third rape-murder case that has happened in the area.Barakat Bello and Azeezat Shomuyiwa were other ladies who met the same fate in the past two weeks.The Oyo Police Public Relations Officer, Gbenga Fadeyi, has now asked members of the public to assist with information to track those behind the killings in recent weeks.  |

The Future of Football, which is authored by a photographer Pall Stefansson.Recalling how Nigeria was absent at a football tournament she watched in her introduction titled "Football Nationalism", Adichie said she became "Ghanaian" after the Ghanaian football team caught her attention.She wrote;"I watched the game with my best friend, Uju, often shouting and then hugging each other when Ghana finally beat the United States. "You know some of our boys started playing this game without shoes', Uju said. 'Our boys' were, of course, the Ghanaians. | Ex Beauty Queen, Ibidun Ighodalo is dead Posted: 15 Jun 2020 02:00 AM PDT  Former Beauty queen, Ibidun Ajayi Ighodalo, has died. She was just 40.The former Miss Lux died in her hotel in Port Harcourt, Rivers state today June 14. There are reports she died of Cardiac Arrest.Ibidun is survived by her husband, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, the head pastor of Trinity House church, and their two adopted children, Keke and Zenan.Until her death, she ran the popular events company, Elizabeth R and had been travelling around the country building COVID19 Isolation centres. She left Lagos for Port Harcourt on Friday June 12th for work. And just last week, Ibidun paid a visit to her father's grave. Ibidun also helped many couples who were finding it difficult to have children through her foundation. May her gentle, beautiful soul rest in peace, Amen. | Nigeria and America fight for Hushpuppi’s custody Posted: 15 Jun 2020 01:30 AM PDT  Nigerian detectives and their counterparts from the United States of America are currently in a battle to take custody of Ramon Igbalode Abbas aka Hushpuppi, PremiumTimes reports.The Instagram celebrity was arrested in Dubai, in the early hours of Wednesday, prompting Nigeria and the U.S. to launch the battle for his possession.Officials said the Federal Bureau of Investigation (F.B.I.) has been leading America's effort to take possession of Hushpuppi because many of those he allegedly scammed in years of advance fee fraud, were Americans. |
| Mompha reveals EFCC still can’t prove their fraud case against him Posted: 15 Jun 2020 01:00 AM PDT  Mompha has advised Nigerians not to believe all they read on social media because the EFCC still can't find evidence against him in the fraud case he has with them.He served the advice following Hushpuppi's arrest which has been confirmed the International Police (INTERPOL).It was reported earlier that Huspuppi and his accomplices in Nigeria, Dubai and other countries allegedly defrauded the US government of over $100 million meant for Native Americans in the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.However reacting to this via an Instastory post he shared, Mompha told his followers not to believe the stories flying around. He stated that same stories surfaced when he was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), but he was only charged with selling foreign currency without license. Mompha also disclosed that the anti-graft agency are still yet to prove their case against him.  |
