| Posted: 18 Jun 2020 01:00 AM PDT  Ex-Big Brother Naija reality star, Jackye Madu's boyfriend, Oluwasegun Kosemani popularly known as Koschmann Lami Lami, seems to have taken a subtle swipe at his ex in a recent post made on his IG page.Lami took to his Instagram post to ponder how his ex's colleague, Tacha seems to have become a likable person despite the fact that she not necessarily loved a while back, especially during her time in the house.He then went on to say one should shut their mind towards anyone as they don't know what phase of life the person is in. His post comes a day after his ex, when she was asked during the BBNaija reunion show, if the feelings she had towards Tacha had always been a negative one and she admitted that for the first few weeks in the house, she tried to bond with Tacha but gave up on the idea because she didn't want to get angry. Worried about her reputation, Spicykvng reportedly apologized to Vivian and she accepted her apology. However, she was allegedly still scared that Vivian might expose her on Facebook so she allegedly stabbed her to death in Delta State and escaped to Enugu state after calling Vivian's mother to tell her that her daughter has traveled.   |

| APC senator, Adebayo Osinowo allegedly dies of coronavirus Posted: 17 Jun 2020 07:30 AM PDT  The Nigerian Senate has been thrown into mourning over the sad news of the death of Senator, Adebayo Osinowo, on Monday, June 15.According to The Nation, the 64-year-old senator representing Lagos East senatorial district died in a hospital in Lagos.Osinowo was an active federal lawmaker on the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC).Moreover, Nigerian Tribune reported that an unconfirmed claim stated that Osinowo died of COVID-19.Before he became a senator, late Osinowo was a member of the Lagos state House of Assembly for four consecutive terms (2003-2019).  |
| Ckay releases 7-minute short film, 'Alien Posted: 17 Jun 2020 07:00 AM PDT On June 5, 2020, Nigerian singer and the man behind global anthem, 'Love Nwantiti (Remix)' released his self-directed seven-minute short film, 'Alien.' The film is also co-directed by Makhere Thekiso. Nuerki Norte plays the alien love interest while Titilope Adesanya plays the human girlfriend.During a 2019 interview with Pulse Nigeria, Ckay called the short film, "an African extra-terrestrial love story." It has now become clear that the film tells the story of a forbidden love affair with an alien love interest that seemingly begins as a one-night stand. Hence why 'DTF,' song about a one-night stand plays in the first act.Despite CKay's character having a girlfriend, he fell in love with the alien woman, damning what anyone says to hell. Nuerki Norte plays the alien love interest while Titilope Adesanya plays the human girlfriend. The cover art for Ckay The First is a part of that story. When you look closely, you see a spaceship and some weird things, but they all have a meaning. As a kid, CKay was into sci-fi and has some interesting theories about extra-terrestrial existence and aliens. On his interest in universal science and extra-terrestrial life, CKay tells Pulse in 2019 that, "The universe is too large for humanity to be the only form of life in it. Let's say earth is like a speck of dust and this whole space (the studio) is like the size of the milky way galaxy. The Universe is too big to only be home to earthly life. There's also been like 100,000 UFO sightings between 1980 and 2001. "So, I feel like these sightings only happen everywhere else asides Africa. So, are you going to tell me that aliens only want everywhere else asides Africa? So what if our African gods were aliens? According to reports, the movie mogul is set to cover Brooks' funeral cost and fund the university education of his kids.Rayshard Brooks is the African American who was shot and killed by an Atlanta police officer on Friday, June 12, 2020.According to PEOPLE, Perry spoke to Brooks' family and wanted to do something to help. "His heart goes out to the family during this tragic time," a source revealed. Until his untimely death, Brooks was survived by a wife, Tomika, and four children. He was shot by police at a parking lot on Friday night and succumbed to his injuries after undergoing surgery. Perry's benevolence is coming a few weeks after Kanye West had set up a college savings fund to cover tuition for George Floyd's daughter, Gianna. George Floyd made the headlines globally after he died following what was perceived as a racially motivated murder by the police in the United States of America.  |

| Academy delays the Oscars until April 2021 Posted: 17 Jun 2020 05:30 AM PDT  For the first time in 40 years, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced the postponement of an Oscar ceremony.The Academy has announced the postponement of the 93rd Oscars due to the coronavirus pandemic.According to the Academy, the delay, influenced by the coronavirus pandemic, will see the 93rd Oscars pushed back to April 25, 2020.In a joint statement by Academy President David Rubin and Academy CEO Dawn Hudson, the ceremony originally billed for February 28, 2021 will also allow for an extension of its eligibility period."For over a century, movies have played an important role in comforting, inspiring, and entertaining us during the darkest of times. They certainly have this year. Our hope, in extending the eligibility period and our Awards date, is to provide the flexibility filmmakers need to finish and release their films without being penalized for something beyond anyone's control". The eligibility window has now been extended to February 28, 2021.  |

It's almost mid-2020 and the music star has dominated headlines after getting into trouble.In this article, we look at all the times the rapper has made the headlines for all the wrong reasons.1. His arrest over internet fraud Naira Marley first made the headlines in March 2019 when he shared the now infamous post on his Instagram page in April to defend internet fraudsters. He received a lot of backlash from several celebrities including Simi and Ruggedman. He went on to drop the record 'Am I A Yahoo Boy' which became a hit. In the early hours of Friday, May 10 of that year, he was arrested by men of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for internet fraud. His arraignment dominated the news with fans storming the court premises to catch a glimpse of the singer. He was remanded in prison and later got bailed after two appearances in court. 2. Alleged car theft While many were still trying to get over the drama, the singer appeared not to be remorseful as he continued to give everyone including his fans reasons to worry. Late December 2019, the singer was in the news again and this time around he was accused of car theft. It was reported that the singer and his brothers who were in a motorcade, stole a Toyota Camry and iPhone belonging to one Mr Adelekan Ademola. He was absent from the court and went on to brag about the number of expensive cars he owned while ridiculing the claims that he stole a car. 3. Funke Akindele's party With every new year, people change for the better and do away with certain habits they no longer find attractive. Well, not Naira Marley. The rapper was involved in another controversy after he attended a private party organised by celebrity couple, Funke Akindele and JJC Skillz. The couple disobeyed the orders issued by the government by organising a house party after a total lockdown had been declared to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease. Naira Marley was among the persons arraigned in the case but was later pardoned after writing an apology letter to the Lagos State Government. 4. The private jet palaver In the latest controversy that followed Naira Marley, his drive-by music concert made the news after videos of people dancing together emerged on social media. Many also wondered how the singer who resides in Lagos was able to fly to Abuja with restrictions on flights. There have been lots of fall outs from the rapper's concert in Abuja. Jabi Lake car park where the show was held has been shut down while the operators of the private jet that flew the singer from Lagos to Abuja have been suspended which brought a back and forth between the rapper and the private jet operators.  |

An all new episode of Big Brother Naija Pepper Dem Reunion show premiered on Monday, June 15. Here are the highlights.While there were a number of drama inducing scenes, principle players chose diffusion in the stead of confrontation and the ones who had their engines fired up couldn't sustain the energy.The episode as show host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu disclosed, was dedicated to subjects around women lifting women and on former female housemates. Tacha, Avala, Ella, Mercy, Venita, Thelma, Jacyke and Kim Oprah were in attendance to address some of their infamous moments of distrust, clap backs and side talks. Check out the highlights: Avala talks getting blocked by Ella There appears to be no love lost between former housemates, Avala and Ella and the episode was prime time to hear them talk about their rift. While Ella admitted that she was constantly misunderstood in the house, Avala picked up to share how Ella enjoyed complaining instead of putting in the work and that was a huge turn off for her. Another hit on the Avala and Ella union happened after the latter blocked the former on Instagram. Thelma versus Tacha's infamous 'Fish saga' Ebuka recalled the Big Brother fish argument between Thelma and Tacha. Thelma revealed she had to waddle through a good number of "fish girl" comments on social media upon leaving Big Brother's house. For Thelma, requesting for fish in the house was for her a confrontation and not an attempt to draw attention to herself. She was genuinely upset that she didn't get some fish. Tacha surprisingly took the high road, refusing to weigh into the matter. Kim said Ella said Tacha dealt with hygiene issues Ella and Kim Oprah had a go at each other over their private turned public chat about Tacha's personal hygiene. Oprah revealed how Ella had the conversation with her and because she felt cornered , spilling the bad beans was her best bet. Naira Marley has responded to the jet company for calling him useless.ExecuJets has been suspended by the Minister of Aviation Hadi Sirika for violating the ban on interstate travel in COVID-19 era, after airlifting Marley and his crew to Abuja for a drive-by concert that panned out differently."When I went through the manifest and I saw FASHOLA BABATUNDE I thought it was the Honorable Minister of Works going to Abuja with his men, so we decided to do the flight since it is a serving Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, I didn't know it was a bunch of useless people," ExecuJet's CEO, Sam Iwuajoku, wrote in an apology letter to the Aviation Minister. In his reaction, Naira Marley says he and his army of Marlians will be boycotting the airline henceforth for daring to tag them "useless." "Do you know that over 20,000 Marlians travel with Executive Jet a month? We won't be using ur useless airline again for calling us useless. Thank God we didn't crash on that flight sha because we nearly did. BTW We didn't book the flight ourselves," Marley tweeted.

Chioma says she is shocked at the rumours in circulation about her family.In a post shared via her Instagram page on Tuesday, June 16, 2020, the celebrity chef debunked all the rumours, insisting that there has never been any form of violence in their home."I know you guys absolutely love to spread all sorts of rumours and stories for your entertainment and I've known from Day 1 what to expect from blogs and the internet especially with myself and family being in the public space,' she wrote."I have never once come out to respond to any blogger or react to any rumour mongers before as quite frankly it has never been my nature to engage in online battles or pay too much mind to social media."But I must say I have found quite disturbing the stories of domestic abuse between myself and David and for once feel a need to speak up. It didn't end there as she went on to troll Tacha over a tweet she had earlier shared on her Twitter page. "They came 2 my dm asking why I don't shout "audio" SOLD-OUT on my IG business page @lathelma_ The thing is, as a true 9ja woman who knows her way in business, I worry more about RE-STOCKING my inventories than shouting SOLDOUT.
