Nigerian music video director and CEO of HG2 film works, Akorede, celebrated 10 years remembrance of his father death and explained the scene behind his father death.

10 years ago… On this day June 06 2010, I received a call that my Dad had drown & died on the spot at Alesh hotel Ajah. It was like my whole world came crashing down.

They buried my Dad before any autopsy could be carried out, I and reat of my siblings where not told what precisely killed him, and am yet to know what went down on that terrible day. It was too much for me to handle and comprehend, the only thing the owner of the hotel did was that, he called the family, and he gave us #100,000. Is not enough for a life of my Dad?

This life is so unfair! He Used his wealthy position to slap us in the face.

Further, I was forced to a life of uncertainty and hopelessness but God in his infinite mercy showed me how wonderful He's. After several years my life did turned to better, but not a single day goes by without remembering my Dad… I love you but God loved you best… Continually rest in the bossom of Almighty Allah… Mr Olabode.

Popular socialite, Cubana Chief Priest has reacted to the recent social media campaign which has seen many people including the rich and famous being called out for rape.

Cubana Chief Priest wrote;

See his post below:

Waiting For A Rapist To Blow Or Get Rich Before Speaking Out Or Reporting To The Right Authorities Is An Act Of Gold Digging N Dragging, Parents We Have To Teach Our Children How To Speak Up Immediately It Helps Authorities In Proper Investigation To Get Justice Served, Why Did It Take You So Much Time To Report What Caused You Severe Pain ? Reno Omokri – If your relationship with your partner is transactional, he’s your customer not boyfriend

Posted: 06 Jun 2020 10:00 PM PDT

Spokesperson to former Nigerian president and writer, Reno Omokri, has maintained his relevance on social media by always wading into issues that concern the society as well as sharing his sometimes controversial opinions on topics.

Reno often takes to his Twitter page to dish out advice to his followers.

The lawyer took to the social media platform and wrote:

Dear ladies,
On your birthday, your boyfriend threw a party for you. On his birthday, you expect him to take you out for a romantic dinner. Yet, you blame Donald Trump for all the injustice on planet Earth. Are you yourself practicing justice in your relationships? In fact, if your relationship is based on you pestering him for money, and him pestering you for coitus, what you have is a commercial transaction, not a relationship. Don't refer to him as your boyfriend. He is your customer

Wole Soyinka – The President is not in charge of this Nation

Posted: 06 Jun 2020 12:45 PM PDT

Nobel laureate, Wole Soyinka, says he does not believe President Buhari is the one in charge of the affairs of the nation. Soyinka who has never hidden his displeasure about the Buhari-led government, said this when he spoke in a fresh interview with PlusTV Africa.

While reacting to the open letter the former military administrator to Kano state, Umar Dangiwa, wrote to the president in which he accused him of appointing only persons from his region into his government, Soyinka said

"First of all, I was appalled by the silence that followed this revelation. I think those who are responsible for this criminal lopsidedness should be punished. It is not sufficient just to discuss it. It's criminal.

I have said this before. I don't believe there is really anybody in charge in Aso Rock. I'm sorry to say this. I've been studying the trend over the past year and a half and I believe this president is not in charge of this nation, in so many aspects and directions. I'm convinced he's not really and totally with it.

It's so serious. It is not the fact alone, we know the history of this. We know what it has caused the nation and we know it isn't over yet. And you say are launching an enquiry. That's not enough. This man is not in charge." he said

Busola Dakolo shares update on rape case against COZA pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo

Posted: 06 Jun 2020 07:00 AM PDT

Music star, Timi Dakolo's wife, Busola, has shared the update of the rape case she filed against the senior pastor of Commonwealth Of Zion Assembly (COZA), Biodun Fatoyinbo exactly one year ago.

Busola Dakolo says Biodun Fatoyinbo raped her twice as a teenager.

The critically acclaimed photographer took to her Instagram page on Thursday, June 4, 2020, where she announced that the case filed against the Abuja flamboyant pastor, has been handed over to the Ministry of Justice for onward prosecution.

According to her, even though the case has been handed over to the ministry of justice, there appear to be some manipulations and foul play going on.

"It is now officially one year after since I came out and told the most important story of my life up until this point. That when I was a teenager, Biodun Fatoyinbo violently raped me. It wasn't just me. In the media, on social platforms and in private, women have been sharing stories of how this man either destroyed their lives or tried to," she wrote.

"A lot has happened in that time: and my heart is glad that consciousness continues to be raised about the great evil that sexual abuse is, and how widespread it is, and how much women are at risk, and why we need to ensure justice for those who find the strength to speak out."

A lot has happened in that time: and my heart is glad that consciousness continues to be raised about the great evil that sexual abuse is, and how widespread it is, and how much women are at risk, and why we need to ensure justice for those who find the strength to speak out. Awareness is victory. But we are pushing to another even great victory: Justice. When the courts last year decided to rule in favour of the man who assaulted me, people were crestfallen. I understood. What they didn't know however is that before we even began, we had been prepared for a long haul battle that may take years because the Nigerian legal system isn't wired to help sexual abuse victims get justice. Today, I have a major update. The police has concluded its investigation. And handed over its report to the Ministry of Justice in Abuja for onward prosecution of Biodun Fatoyinbo. He clearly has a case to answer. But there has been silence from the ministry. Silence. A loud silence! We have written a letter but for over a month we have no response. Instead, my lawyers and my family have heard about all manner of manipulation and foul play being attempted to stop the ministry from beginning prosecution immediately. Or even to get the police report manipulated. My name is Busola Dakolo, a survivor of one of the most horrific acts -rape. My voice will not be shut down. My case will not be silenced. I am thankful to those in and out of the police, the ministry and the corridors of power who have called in solidarity and to reassure me that they are monitoring the ministry of justice and that this pressure to bury the case will not succeed. I am updating the Nigerian public because you all made my story matter. You joined me to say enough is enough. With you, this has been an easier process. #wearetired #notinmychurch #justice

It would be recalled that earlier in June 2019, Busola Dakolo dropped a bombshell after granting an exclusive interview to YNaija.

She revealed during that interview that she was raped by Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo twice when she was a teenager.

In an exclusive interview with YNaija, Busola gave a detailed account of how she met the pastor while she was in secondary school and started worshiping at his then club turned church after a lot of persuasions from her sisters.
