BBNaija 2019 Winner, Mercy Eke narrates what caused her failed deal with Moët and Chandon

Posted: 25 Jun 2020 12:30 AM PDT

Mercy Eke has narrated what transpired between her and Moët and Chandon that led to the viral story which online months ago.

Recall that when the deal was announced back then, some doubters wrote official notes to the leadership of Moet & Chandon to make inquiries about the authenticity of the deal.

The company debunked the news of signing Mercy as an ambassador days after, and the company has also shed more light on the link between them and Mercy.

Mercy has now addressed the controversy and according to her, she was approached by a champagne company that wanted her to sign a deal with them and also attend a party they wanted to organise and she obliged.

The company being impressed with the outcome of the meeting held with Mercy and her management team, paid her the agreed sum, even before signing the dotted lines.

This happened on a Wednesday and Mercy was supposed to start the activation of the deal on Thursday which was the second day, only for a fan to spoil the partly sealed deal.

Mercy told her fellow former housemates who were present for the BBNaija 2019 Reunion show that the fan in question put a call through to one of the staff members of the champagne company to ask if it was true that the company recently signed Mercy and if it was true that she would be attending the upcoming party organised by the company.

Unfortunately, the company worker told the fan that Mercy had no deal with the company and would not be attending the said party.

After the call, the fan was reported to post the information given on the internet and making internet users troll Mercy.

According to Mercy, that did not go well with her. "Immediately I saw that, I called Chief Priest and told him what was going on on the internet and we decided that if the company say they do not know me, me too do not know them.

I told the company that if I was going to go ahead with the deal, they should release an official statement saying that they know me and to also apologise.

"My management made me return the money because, they refuse to apologise and the damage has been done."

According to her, she was unable to go ahead with the deal, though the company was a big and well recognised one.

She blamed the loss of money, damage to her integrity and image to the fan who went ahead to make public information that was not true and also not gotten from the right source.

Watch the video below;

However, trolls have began to drag her on social media for supposedly lying at the reunion about her alleged Hennessy and Moet deal.

The trolls cited that a brand like Moet will not be that disorganised.

How Bobrisky lied to his father about his changed identity

Posted: 24 Jun 2020 10:00 PM PDT

Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Isolo-Ejigbo branch B, Alhaji Bashir Femi Olowu, has revealed how popular cross-dresser, Bobrisky, lied to his father, Alhaji Musibau Okuneye, about his changed identity.

According to Bashir, Bobrisky told his father that his feminine dressing was to act theatre on social media only.

He said Bobrisky's father was still in the dark about the real identity of his son as he (Bobrisky) dressed normal as a man to his father's birthday held at his residence in Ejigbo last week.

He also disclosed that Bobby's father was not happy about the identity of his son on social media as against the belief by many people that he was supporting him in the act.

Olowu, whose image with that of Bobrisky in a photograph taken at his father's birthday has gone viral on social media, said he has also tried to convince Bobrisky to amend his way and desist from the act but seemed not to see anything wrong in what he is doing.

"He didn't seem to be convinced but he continues to present false identity to his father and that was why he came to his father's birthday dressed normal as a man."

The branch NURTW chairman said he attended the birthday party just to present his gift to the father whom he described as a good man, said Alhaji Musibau Okuneye is a responsible father who has been residing in Ejigbo for more than 25 years.

He said: "Alhaji Okuneye, the father of Idris Okuneye (Bobrisky) has been a good and responsible man in the community who has been living here in Ejigbo since 1995. He does not know what his son was doing out there because what the boy told him is that he dressed like a lady on social media because he was an artiste and that the dressing was only for theatre purpose."

Bobrisky's appearance at the party of his father's birthday celebration caused a stir on social media as he was seen dressed like a real man without any makeup or fake identity.

Naomi Campbell reveals her current relationship with her ex-boyfriend Skepta

Posted: 24 Jun 2020 04:00 AM PDT

Naomi Campbell has rubbished reports suggesting that she is no longer on speaking terms with her ex-boyfriend, Skepta.

This comes after she said in her recent interview that she is still friends with her famous exes Mike Tyson and Robert DeNiro, but is estranged from her most recent ex.

She told Times Weekend magazine: 'Why don't you say it the other way round? Surely it was their privilege just as much as mine to be with them? But yes, I had some wild and exciting times until I changed my life aged 29.

'Whatever they say about me, I have remained friends with all my exes… except the last one.'

The model went on to explain that she thinks it's a 'waste' to lose people from her life after her relationships end.

'I do know that friendship is the thing that lasts. I saw Robert De Niro just before lockdown and I've talked to Mike [Tyson) on the phone. It's such a waste to lose people,' she said.

It appears Skepta wasn't the most recent ex she was referring to in her interview.

Reacting to the reports, the British supermodel took to Instagram today, June 22, to share two cute photos of herself and Skepta including a snap from their raunchy photoshoot for GQ magazine and then wrote: 'STOP! All love between Us @skeptagram.'

Back in 2018, the British supermodel, 50, and Grime rapper, 37, were romantically linked but they didn't confirm their relationship to the public before their breakup.

Naomi later unfollowed Skepta after he posted a baby scan on Instagram to announce he was expecting his first child. She also deleted every trace of him from her social media accounts.

Reno Omokri – Salary can’t cure the disease of poverty but only manage it

Posted: 24 Jun 2020 02:30 AM PDT

Reno Omokri penned an epistle on the importance of running a personal business other than depending on salary from an employer which he said can't cure the disease of poverty but only manage it.

He wrote;

"Salary is medicine for managing the disease of poverty. It cant cure it. Only your own business can cure poverty. Poverty isn't just about money. Time is more valuable than money. If another man controls your time, you're poor even if you earn much.

"Salary is like a cage. Some cages are big. Others are small. They are still cages because you can only move around within the boundaries of the cage. A big salary Is a big cage. A small salary is a small cage. Big or small, you are still not free!

"Satan has deceived mankind that money is life. No. Time is life. Don't allow your life seep away in one cubicle earning salary. I don't care who you are, I can guarantee that your childhood dreams were not to sit in one cubicle and earning salary!".
